Niche little store with wines so good you wish you bought extra. You can find one of the most unique Ports here called Flying Rooster and a Sonor Wines America - Grüner Veltliner (Johann Strauss), unique and not many left.

I would recommend getting a receipt every time. The last time I went in, the taller man, who’s always been more condescending than nice to me, weirdly avoided giving me a receipt. But, I asked for one. Walking home, I noticed that he over charged me significantly. I did go back for a refund. However, that’s not the first incident that I had with him. I would go back now and then because of the convenience. The store is quite small and the piercing eyes on me insinuates there is a fear of me, and/or a fear of me stealing. The experience is unsettling for me. I won’t be spending anymore of my money here.

Really a top notch visit. I told the merchant what sort of wine I was interested in and my budget and he picked out 5 bottles. All were excellent, and so much easier than trying to guess whats good based on labels. Ill definitely be back! 10/10

Is it a store that has wine? Yes. Can you get something you need in a pinch? Absolutely.Customer service is lacking. I was sent here to buy a bottle of wine for my boss. I walked in and played the message of the bottle(s) of wine I was looking for. A tall gentleman asked if this was for my boss and (rather incredulously) asked if I had his card. I replied yes. And then in the most condescending, rude manner said well Ill need his signature then. Im not sure if he really didnt want a sale or what but I was appalled at the tone he took with me. I responded that I also had my own card to pay for if it was that big of a deal. I was planning on buying $300 worth of wine but was so taken aback by his tone that I got one bottle of rosé and left as quick as I could. The older gentleman working behind the desk was very kind and attentive but the other gentleman was enough to make me never go back. Ill hike down to Potomac Wine and Spirits or Whole Foods to avoid this place.

Chris (in-house beverage expert) was amazing. He conducted beer tasting while I was in the store and recommended some nice wine as well. Ill will recommend this store to others.

Ive been going to Georgetown Wine and Spirits for years every time Ive been in D.C. You just cant beat their service and their prices. I highly recommend the Owner D, is very knowledgeable and helpful.
