I LOVE Cupcake Royale. They have perfect cupcakes and I totally dig their seasonal flavors. I have been buying cupcakes from them since 2006. I hired them to do my wedding cupcakes and they were a huge hit! Everyone had two, even people who normally would never eat more than one. So glad we ordered extra (thank you for the tasting!)! The best cupcakes I have ever had. The frosting to cake ratio is spot on. They are sweet, but not super sweet. I drive an hour to Seattle just to go to Big Marios π and Cupcake Royale. What are you waiting for? Go get a Cupcake, youll thank me later!
The people here were super nice, loved the ambiance! With our orders, it was a 50/50. Seemed more having to do with taste and not so much quality though. Bumble gum ice cream and tiramisu cupcake were βjust alrightβ but still eaten entirely so not horrible. The red velvet and the coconut were delicious and devoured. π
In a word: Decent. We got a cupcake and ice cream. Tiramisu cupcake had little flavor to live up to its namesake. The cake was excellent in texture but vanilla and bland; the frosting left little to write home about. Decent. Strawberry ice cream was pretty good. Service was another story. It was a sunny Memorial Day weekend so I sympathize with a busy day, but our server was pretty curt and unpleasant. Overall, decent. Wouldnβt recommend going out of your way for this place but if youβre passing by and need to get a cupcake fix, itβll do.
Ordered cupcakes here for our elopement wedding. They were to die for. We picked them up the day before the wedding. They were still as fresh the day of and even the day after the wedding. Our favorites are Triple Berry and Red Velvet. The vegan choices were also yummy
Truly excellent. Wide variety of very well made cupcakes and delicious espresso. Youre denying yourself if you dont try their pumpkin latte!
Just wonderful. Terrific service and everything made fresh daily makes this treat fantastic. My cupcake sundae combined red velvet ice cream with cream cheesey topped cup cake. YUM.
They dont just have cupcakes! They also have a great selection of ice cream flavors and a coffee + drinks menu.In terms of cupcakes, they have a nice range of flavors as well as vegan options. I brought a dozen for my birthday to work last year and my coworkers loved it!Highly recommend this place and I sincerely hope they stay open despite covid-19!
First time trying was excited, got two chocolate cupcakes that looked delicious. What I really got were two stale cupcakes with hardened icing. Super disappointing especially at almost $5 a cupcake. Probably wonβt be going back.
Amazing dairy free ice cream! Wonderful and friendly customer service. Will be back.
The cupcakes are very dense and almost more bread-like. They are tasty regardless, so it just depends on your preference to texture. I am more into the airy, light and moist cupcakes so these werenβt my favorite. The staff was friendly. The coffee is very delicious!
Tried the super famous Salted Caramel Cupcake. Really moist and good. Even non-caramel fans will appreciate it. Pricey, but, its good for two.
A little disappointed after the rave reviews. It was a decent cupcake, but the cake was a little dry. I wouldnβt go out of my way to get one from here.
The GROSSEST NASTIEST cupcakes my family and I have ever eaten. First time ever going there yesterday and the cupcakes where HARD AS ROCKS and so was the icing! Those where the most stale cupcakes that literally needed to be thrown away at least a week before I ate them. The icing was hard and so bad. Would never recommend anyone eating there.
Cupcakes are dry. The βGayβ funfetti cupcake was a little too sweet.
Soooo good!!! So many yummy unique flavors. Around 50$ for a 12 pack assorted.
I loved it! Got the red velvet and triple chocolate and it was absolutely amazing. Totally worth the money
I have no idea how delicious their food is because they ran out of cupcakes before I walked into the store. That was disappointing.
Pretty good place to go for a quick sweet treat. Great coffee and fantastic ice cream. The red velvet cupcakes are a little dry, but that could because we got them right before they closed and probably sat all day. Nice clean place with a decent amount of seating. Overall a good time there.would probably go back, but there is so much to choose from in the area it will be a while.
They always take care of me. laura is wonderful with great hospitality !
Service is great, but the cupcakes are quite dry and frosting is very sweet.
Ok not greatThey ran out of everything we wantedFriendly staff
If this place has, as their signage states, the best cupcakes in Seattle, I wouldnt recommend ever buying a cupcake in Seattle. The cake is dense, dry, tough, and flavorless. The frosting is overly sweet and pasty and tastes nothing like the flavor I got (lavender). Spend your money at a different tourist trap.*Two stars because the employee at the front counter was very polite and helpful.
Not just pretty, but these taste incredible!
Cupcakes are not worth it. Go for ice cream. A little above average size. We had two. Both bases tastes just like cake box mix (which is why we were so disappointed there was nothing AMAZING) the frosting for mine was dry and chalky and had no sugar to it or flavor to it. Donβt get the cupcakes stick to ice cream.
I placed an order online to be delivered. When I received them one of the cupcakes was the incorrect flavor, I didnt get one I wanted. They were quite dry but had decent flavor. Not sure if this is due to them being vegan. I wouldnt order from them again probably.
Love this place, but they had 3 cupcakes left and the service was super snotty. I will certainly avoid this location and caution others too as well.
I donβt know t they charged 10$ for one scoop of ice cream
Really good and friendly staff
Love cupcake Royale! The best cupcakes in town and the best employees! The cousins that work there with pink hair and a mullet were super fun! And helpful! You can tell they REALLY love each other and their job! Great cupcakes, great service will b going there again!!!
They sold my sister really dry stale cupcakes. This isnt the norm, though. Usually, theyre moist and fresh.
Love this place. Always reminds me of the TV Show 2 broke girls. But, its upscale. Highly recommended for work parties. Birthdays at work. Just, easier to share cupcakes. No messy cutting. A great place.
Delicious!!! Stopped in here for afternoon tea, after reading recommendations of places to eat in Seattle. Ordered the salted caramel chocolate cupcake, cupcake was moist and buttercream had great flavor. Would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys sweet treats. Staff were friendly and fast with counter service.
Cupcakes arent good, ice cream is excellent. Ive had and made much better cupcakes than at Cupcake Royale. We went to the one on Queen Anne first. We thought it was a fluke because it was almost closing time. Went to Pine St location and discovered that unfortunately, it wasnt a fluke. Cupcakes are dry and almost flavorless. Maybe not enough butter? Of course, taste is subjective, but I feel like cupcakes should taste like small cakes and not something completely different. On the other hand, the ice cream is phenomenal. I had the strawberry... To die for! Go for the ice cream. Dont get a cupcake if you want cake.
Visited here from NJ and just had to come check this place out. I ordered some ice cream and cupcakes and it was simply divine. Highly recommended!
Delicious desserts and scrumptious milk shakes in an intimate surrounding. Liner up to order your drinks and cakes. Coffees also served. Take with you or linger at one of the tables inside. Lathe door in the wall leads to a chocolate shop (not included in this review). Its a refreshing stop in the Pike Place Market area.
Cupcake quality on point - texture, flavor, moistness, softness. Apart from cupcakes they have a selection of ice cream flavors, cake pops, and some other baked goods. The shop is in a central and convenient location too. Just wish they had more indoor seating - we ended up eating our cupcakes while standing outside.
The best cupcakes ever, a must visit in Seattle. This specific location is small and near Pike Place so theres not really any good parking. Id go to a different one unless youre already in the area.
Im so mad at myself. I was in Seattle for five days, and on my last day picked up a cupcake from here to go. I ended up not being able to eat it until I was sitting in the airport and OH MY GOODNESS it was so delicious. Had I eaten it while I was still in the city I probably would have gone back and bought like five more. Easily top three cupcakes Ive ever had in my life.
Frosting was light and delicious. My daughter (18) said it was the best cupcake shes ever had. Need more chairs outside of the shop though. The one table and two chairs is all there is outside.
Really good cupcakes. One vegan option when we went and it was so chocolatey I couldnt finish it. Hole in the wall atmosphere but definitely worth stopping.
Just ordinary cupcakes with fancy names. 2 different basic varieties. Not awful. But lavender icing was amazing.
I was planning an office birthday party and everyone said I had to go to Cupcake Royale. Im glad I did! The mini cupcakes were perfect size and oh so good. They even sell individual candles and cute cards. The staff was super nice. I was told to get there at 8am, but I went at 9:30am and there were still plenty of cupcakes and no waiting.
How can you not like cupcakes, unique lemonades, and delicious ice creams? This spit here, as in this particular Cupcake Royal, is one of my favorites as itβs a perfect spot for an out of the way area from pike place or a nice stop off point before heading home. The service is great and super nice and itβs just such a quaint location then youβll really feel that this is the heart of Seattle.
Great place to find fresh ice cream and cup cakes. My family and I love them. Nice atmosphere and friendly people too.
Really great chocolate ice cream! Minimal seating. REALLY cute blonde girl rocking a mullet behind the counter.
Always like stopping and getting some extra energy. I had a birthday party here for my 24th year. Its chill.
I wish you had a location in Minnesota! I had a red velvet cake pop and thought I was going to die. It was literally the best thing ever. The consistency was smooth, spreadable and a little gritty. All three of those are winners in my book. Like cookie dough kinda. Highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone.
Walked in after reading other reviews of this place. I just finished the Red Velvet cupcake. All I can say is delicious π Definitely worth a stop if youβre in town and love cupcakes.
Really cute place. Only got ice cream which was ok. Would like to try some of the other things they offer.
Cupcakes are so good! Definitely would go again but they donβt have that many flavors. Wouldnβt get a cupcake milkshake again, you kinda get soggy chunks of cupcakes. You must eat the cupcakes the same day, they turn super stale by the next day so donβt get too many!!
