A little surprised at how quickly the shops at this location keep changing, but hopefully Motto is here to stay for good. Motto recently opened, and I - being the boba and tea addict that I am - was captivated by the simplicity of their logo and knew I had to check out the drinks for myself. Almost made it out awhile back on a Monday, but they close fairly early and ended up missing them while they were still open. But because I put my mind to it, I ended up going the following week.
Nice flavors, love the dairy free selection. They overfill with ice (to decrease how much they give you?) preventing you from drinking the boba. I end up digging through the ice at the end. Like them ok but not much drink for the price.
The food was really delicious as they have many options, different flavors where it really matches with what I like, such as the Mango Sunshine and the cake also the drivers was pretty good and also the waitress was very nice.
Cute little place. Staff very friendly.
Boba was really delicious and soft. Would just ask for less ice next time
Holy cow! The bubble tea here is out of this world good 🤤 we got the Artist`s Duet (black milk tea + espresso) and Thai Tea, and both were so delicious that we polished them off in less than ten minutes oops. Both drinks tasted like they were made with quality ingredients, and the boba was still warm, it was so fresh! Theres some secret ingredient that really elevated this high above all other bubble tea Ive ever had... Maybe a dash of condensed milk? Not sure, but whatever it is, Pearls is knocking it out of the park. Cant wait to come back here to get more boba and try some of their food as well.
This is the best little stop for boba and lunch in West Seattle. The owner is the nicest lady Ive met this month. The boba is great, the sandwiches and crepes are delicious! She is also planning to open a nail salon next door and let me tell you, becoming her friend comes with PERKS! We love Pearls!
Great coffee and crepes! A little off the beaten path these days with the bridge down, but well worth the detour!
Cozy environment, lots of natural lighting from the big windows; perfect place to sit for a while and work on a laptop. I ordered the chicken satay baguette sandwich (banh mi) $6.50. Chicken was flavorful, not too big, just the right size for a smaller meal. They also have bubble tea and coffee; I didnt order a drink so I cannot comment on that. I recommend if youre in the area and need a pick-me-up drink, sandwich or crepe!
Not a fan! Coffee drinks are made with instant coffee. Croissant sandwich is frozen jimmy dean...The bubble tea is chalky and tum like. 🤷🏾♀️ Sorry.
Got a “Latte” that tasted like a gas station coffee.
Great sandwiches. Had the veggie and meatball. Delicious. More value and flavor than most sandwich shops in the area. The bubble tea was alright, but the boba was terrible. Stuck together in clumps and at once chewy and mushy. The latte tasted like watered down Folgers mixed with milk. So I would absolutely recommend this place for a great bahn mi, but not for drinks.
Nice people for sure but Worst coffee I’ve had in a long time.
Very friendly and helpful! So many drink options too.
I got the Nutella Strawberry Crepe, and its pretty big for the price and was very delicious. The staff was friendly, and I would love to see this business bloom.
Best boba in town, and you can order ahead. The food is good too
This is so good place, and awesome cafe.I want to work there, anybody help me?
They forgot one crepê in our order, we paid for it. We had to drive all the way back for them to make the missing crepê, which was the Nutty Banana. To my disappointment after all the hassle, they used a disgusting cheap chocolate syrup in it instead of actual nutella, even though they say nutella on their menu. Brutal!
Not the most fancy place but I wasnt expecting that when I first saw it driving by. Looks pretty knarly from the outside and inside... but Id say they make a pretty darn good crepe. Im not a crepe expert, but usually what I look for are Crepes that arent too thick (which sort of shows they make good crepe mix). I had a Nutty Banana, I thought it had a perfect balance of Nutella to Banana. Their coffee is from Zoka coffee roasters so its good (would suggest they use while milk though). They could probably speed up the service, but Ill come back for sure.
I got the strawberry lemonade smoothie and it was delicious! Very flavorful and tart!
Delicious boba tea!
The ladies that work here are super nice! The chai is really good and crepes are decent. Only thing is the last time I visited it smelt weird inside but I’m a neat freak so maybe that’s normal.
Good Taro bubble tea 👍
Great selection of sandwiches and all sorts of drinks. I love their blended boba teas!
Great Boba tea!
Good coffee, good service.Owners: please give Pearls a good clean. Would swing by more often but the same dirt piles and food crumbs have been collecting in corners and under tables for the past two years.
The owner is very nice and drinks are so good! Service is fast and theres so much to choose from. Also, If your looking for a calm friendly envorment to study in this is the perfect place. I will being coming back for more bubble tea!
The best chai youll ever have! In house powdered...not the liquid concentrate everywhere else uses. Taste of heaven! Great bubble tea too.
Love this place! Their sandwiches and bubble tea (price and taste) can’t be beat !
A friendly neighborhood cafe. The drinks were more on the sweet side. No mugs, only paper cups.
I love this place. The folks that run this it are friendly and hard working. The atmosphere is relaxed and interesting, its a genuine neighborhood coffee shop and a comfortable place to hang out for awhile. The coffee is very good, in my opinion, and I recommend treating yourself to a scratch made crepe or two. Pearls is one of the things I miss the most about living in Delridge.
Excellent blended teas for $4.00. Great vibes and cozy inside. The staff are nice.
Under new management . Love the new vibes, the sandwiches and lawd, those milk tea are amazing.
Sadly it was bad customer service and one of our smoothies was just a chocolate milk and maybe 1/4 of a banana. This place has lots of potential and a simple hi, thank you and enjoy would be better than the strong vibe of not wanting to work there. I would try a different place :)
They have every flavor of bubble tea you can think of and it’s a super cute place! What a gem, love it.
Fast service and great food as well! They dont just serve coffee and bubble tea; they make skillets pancakes crepes etc they also have a great lunch menu and a wide variety to choose from. The staff always greets me whenever walking inside and very comfortable relaxing environment
Tiny place. Would like to be cozy but every piece of furniture is rundown. As the photo can attest the place is not clean. Photo taken at 8am, and you still have Doritos from the previous day, table not cleaned up. Coffee was OK at best. Will certainly NOT return
Wanted it to be an awesome experience because the girl behind the counter was so sweet but honestly she shouldnt have been left there alone. Really slow service, run down and not the cleanest. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and it was the microwaved kind you can buy in the frozen section of the grocery store. The only redemption was the girl was very apologetic and sweet.
Cozy place and atmosphere, the products are very tasty and the prices are cheap!
GREAT DRINKS & GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! The lady was so sweet & loving 🤗
Bubble tea is amazing! The manager is really good about the service :)
I love to have the mango bubble tea with half tapioca and half mango jellies. Its so awesome! Favorite bubble tea cafe ever! I love the decoration and room layouts too. Very comfortable.
Stopped by this cute little house theme like tea shop with cool mix of board games and random Asian cultures. The customer service was off, when we walked in we wasn’t greeted but the lady did look straight at us and looked away. There was only one man on his laptop in the beginning corner seats and deep inside is where you can order your drinks and food. I had to ask her to speak up because she spoke so low. I end up getting a simple peppermint tea and walked out. They have bunch of couches and chairs to sit but it is sorta dusty and old so didn’t stay for too long. Won’t be coming back but it was a creative little setting it was nice to stop by ❣️Also the weirdest part was when I got the cup I didn’t notice the ads on it until I got into my car. The ad on the cup talks about body surgeries, so awkward and wrong... 🤦🏻♀️
This place makes the best pearl tea in White Center. You can tell that the Boba is not frozen like other places. It has so many flavors and is very fresh. Along with sandwiches and salads you should try it out.
The food and drinks I got were fine. It was in accessible but some employees helped me in. I am told that it has gone way down hill.
AVOID Service is slow, inaccurate and when I came back after a botched order I was refused any kind of refund. I had to explain in depth what half-cafe meant and even then Im not positive what they gave me and was offered no refund. The interior is quirky to the point of careless and the bathroom is kind of scary and barely stocked.Edit: the croissant was rock hard. The cookies were dry crumbled messes. The meatloaf baguette was inedible. The Taro bubble tea hardly deserved the name. Cannot believe I paid $20 for week-old pastries and poorly fashioned drinks. I really wish I hadnt tipped early.
This is alright coffee place near my house. I really prefer uptown espresso right up the street over this place. The coffee does not seem as good here. The inside of the place is really nice if you are looking for a nice meeting place.
Not sure if Pearls has new management or what but the two shot short latte was like a weak americano and the breakfast sandwich was a Costco reheat. I paid and tipped so not their loss.
Still my favorite coffee shop in WA ! Love the coffee and the environment. Great service. Nice area. Highly recommend!
The people here are so nice, dont believe the people saying theyre bad, they incredibly kind, and the rude people are just wayy too criticle
Great atmosphere, I love the outdoor area. They always have great music playing and the staff is pretty nice. I like the coffee they have and I like that they serve local foods. I got a cortado and it was good, its a bit over priced for me so its out of my budget to have on a regular basis.
For a small local spot, this place has some very good bahn mi sandwiches and milk tea drinks. Was pleasantly surprised when I stopped by for a quick bite. Staff was very friendly as well!
Smoked salmon crepe was amazingly good
Nice fresh boba in the tea
Love this place. Quirky little bubble tea and crepe shop
Strawberry smoothie is out of this world!!
Ive only had a mocha there and it was terrible. More sugar than a 7/11 latte dispenser. The atmosphere is nice and maybe the bubble tea is good, but the coffee definitely is not.
The place was really busy and there was only one poor young girl working. She was taking orders and making them. The eating does not reflect her performance or hospitality. Although the bubble tea we ordered was not very good or even possibly someone elses order. Too busy for one person. Mistakes will be made
Nice little coffee shop with great sandwiches. They have an Eclectic selection of seating and a really friendly homey atmosphere.
Love it here! The food is great, the atmosphere is inviting and the service is wonderful!!
Great boba tea without having to travel into town or into the city.
Delicious crepes in savory and sweet! Best so far are the banana Nutella and the Hammy whammy! Big menu of bubble tea options!
Genuinely friendly service, excellent quality bubble tea, and complexly flavorful baguette sandwiches. I love this place!
My bubble tea was flavor- less and the gal that took my order.. her customer service sucked also the bathroom was nice ! But the soap dispenser was broke and open smh
I havent been there since they changed ownership, but if it stayed the same or anything like it its amazing the food was fantastic and the bubble teas were bomb af
Coffee is decent and the crepes are good but the service is super slow. If they had only told me it was going to be a 45 minute wait for my crepe to go I wouldn’t mind.
Im so glad this shop opened up! I love how they have stumptown coffee here and sweet lady Ellen cakes ;) ill be coming here more often now.
Great for some bubble tea and coffee!!
Its a cute little shop with friendly staff. I enjoy the smoothies and bubble tea.
Large variety of tasty foods and drinks. Espresso, bubble tea etc. Nice atmosphere.
The best bubble tea Ive ever had! Comfy environment and great selection.
The crepe they served me was basically inedible. The store itself needs to be cleaned.
Great local spot for bubble tea and other variety of coffee drinks, smoothies, crepes, bagels, and more!
Great little coffee shop. Wished I have one like this one where I live. Great atmosphere.
This is my fav spot in koreatown. Staff is very friendly and their drinks never disappoint me. I usually get document cold brew or lattes.
Bubble tea and their Baguettes are perfect match. Been looking for a good Vietnamese sandwich and here we go, i could finish one BBQ baguette and 1/2 the tofu one. Yummmmmm! Also the place is cozy and warm, i like the atmosphere here, feel like home in this chilling weather and raining all the time of Seattle.I also tried their Matcha milk hot tea, sooo tasty. Anyway, i love coming hanging out with friends here and play some games in cozy sofa.
Delicious bubble tea, not the fastest service ):
They were out of boba, place was very dirty, but the lady was nice.
So dirty. Dust and dead plants everywhere. Water cooler had dirt or coffee grounds in the bottom. Cant believe the excellent food rating is actually theirs. Took almost 20min for 3 drinks. Will not come back.
Coffee here is ok but the crepes are great! Atmosphere is really dark but its a cool neigborhood spot.
New owner now. Has raised prices 20% and reduced the size of coffees by 4oz. Same quality.
Chairs and tables that fall apart, coffee and tea that is so expensive it might as well be Starbucks, and employees that dont know what they are doing. A perfect trifecta of never going back there.
Good bubble tea and friendly service definitely reccomend.
This place is huge fail. I asked if any of the baked goods are made in house or from local bakeries. Theyre not. The Bagels and muffins are from Costco. Breakfast sandwiches are frozen Jimmy Dean’s. Crepe machine doesn’t get turned on until 9:30 or 10am, but they open at 8am. No recycling or compost bins inside the café. Apparently there’s a recycling bin outside, but it’s too much for the owners to put one inside and have staff empty it. I had a mocha and a Bánh Mì (with tofu, that they call vegetarian baguette instead of by its proper title). Coffee was meh, Bánh Mì was ok. It felt incomplete and needed more fresh herbs and greens. I was automatically given a to-go cup even though I said I was sticking around to work for awhile. It is kinda dingy in here. The rugs on the floor have dried food on them, and theres an abandoned straw. Looks like it used to be cool, but now is ignored. Please dont judge this place by older reviews that give it a good rating like I did. Youll be disappointed. In this city where coffee is its thing, Pearls needs to step up its game big time.
Has a homey vibe. Bubble tea is amazing.
Nice people, nice place.
Cozy and quaint...staff is friendly and the building color is Purple (I love it). They have Bubble Tea.
Great drinks, great menu, good service, decent prices
Good espresso. Good service.
Pretty good hot chocolate
I asked for a hot chocolate with some wipcream and chocolate sauce and they wanted to charge me two more dollars just for a tiny bit of wipcream if you think of coming here don’t there prices are outrageous you think you get a good deal until you ask for a tiny bit of wipcream that should have been included with the price DON’T COME HERE.
So good i accidentally had 3 drinks
Great way to wind down from Brazilian Jiu-jitsu.
Super rad espresso.
30 minutes for two coffees and a snack when the place was completely empty. Slow service for average food at best
