Love the coffee here, and the baristas are always friendly. They really could use more employees working on weekends, as potential customers usually wont wait the 15 minutes to get a coffee (people see the line and turn right around), but its definitely worth the wait. Especially in summer, when the huge windows are open, theres no better spot to unwind.
We found this shop while walking around and went in on a whim. It was absolutely the best coffee Iβve had in a while! The white chocolate mocha is not too sweet and the espresso was perfect! I will definitely be coming back!
I like the old school architecture, pool table-green carpet, al fresco setting and nice staff. I definitely enjoyed my order and the coffee and espresso prices are incredibly competitive in price compared to other places. Prices for the food, however, was insane. Hopefully it gets donated at the end of the night if nobody buys it.
Went on a Sunday morning for an Americano. There was a long line of people and a single barista doing everything! He was hustling hard! Even so he managed to keep the line moving and I didnβt mind the wait because he was working hard.
Relaxed casual atmosphere. Good coffees and sandwiches. Courteous and helpful staff.
It is a nice place with good coffee. There is a selection of board games to play. You can just sit at the open windows watching people walking around while enjoying your coffee.
Great service and excellent coffee! Open early at 7 am and a lot of space both inside and out. Highly Recommended!
Awesome place to chill and have a great breakfast sandwich, good coffee
Finding an authentic chai is a real struggle for Indians in the US. Uptown espresso chai comes closest to a good tasting chai in Belltown. ( do not expect super authentic chai anywhere). I have experienced a slight variation in taste with different baristas but I would still recommend this cafΓ© over any other!
Great drinks prepared by friendly and knowledgeable staff
Good service, great ambiance, fun board games
This place used to be great. Great ambiance, great coffee. As of recent, after the owner died a couple years ago, the quality has suffered.I was shocked when my bill came after ordering a plain bagel ($5 for the coffee (ok, thats the standard price, taste was mediocre) and $3 for a plain bagel (that didnt taste fresh! (not okay). I wont be going back here. They are not the only game in town.
Awesome cafΓ© with great drinks and fantastic space to work. The staff are super helpful and they offer great coffees in the area. This is also a great cafe to work from - this music isnt too loud or intrusive and there is plenty of seating. On warmer days, they even open the giant windows for a fresh breeze. The WiFi is pretty good also. The only downside (from a work perspective), very few power outlets. There are only a handful and the tables will likely be occupied from early in the day.
Excellent coffee, good wraps and very good cookies. Excellent service.
Just went there to meet friends. I didnt have anything.
One of my favorite placesβΌ
Beautiful fall afternoon at this uptown espresso location celebrating with fall leaves as part of the decor.A Belltown institution with a great corner location with indoor outdoor seating offers coffee drinks that becomes part of daily experience. Simple, a bit on the rustic side, roomy seating areas for groups or individuals is generally quiet and pleasant.I have become regular over the year for lattes and cappuccinos. Prompt service and friendly staff are always eager to fix one a Java. Work, play, conversations- with good coffee it gets better. One designs a logo to be used certain way. Then paper cups turn it upside down. Whatβs the solution?
Latte was meh. I guess my expectations were too high based on reviews and location. Better than Starbucks but not by much. Cost me $8.50 for a cherry bar and my latte. Bar wasnt bad but for the coffee, I think price is not right.Did love the interior design and large open windows (walls). Definitely cool, and barista was cool too.
I always enjoy coming here. On my most recent visit, there was a line and only one person working. Despite the situation, the barista was very friendly to everyone and worked as quickly as they could. I just wanted a drip coffee, and once I got to the front of the line the barista gave it to me on the house! I wish I had cash for a tip, one of the friendliest baristas Ive ever met.
Medium brew is tasty
Ive been coming here since 2005. Their coffee is awesome.
Great coffee with friendly service. Been there multiple times and Im always pleased with the place.
Visited on vacation on a walk away from tourist part of town. Excellent fresh brewed. I had ice coffee, awesome! Line moves quick. Friendly. Staff knows locals - hometown vibes. Lots of room to stay and relax. If I found this place sooner, I would have used it daily.
Very friendly staff made me feel at home on my 3rd day in seattle not many syrup flavors but coffee was yum
Perfect place to relax for a little bit and enjoy a cup of warm coffee on a cold rainy day.
Great alternative to avoid the Starbucks crowds. Have a ton of cute and rare coffee devices! You can even buy some there! Basic coffee menu, nothing too crazy... ordered food too; bread was amazing! Crunchy but soft! Id definitely come here again!
Excellent coffee at an excellent location, just around the corner from Space Needle.
Its hard to find a good cup of cappuccino these days. Uptown takes the time and does it right. The coffee taste is strong and flavorful l. Love the foam here too.I tried the tomato soup and its really good. Thick and bits of sweet tomato. Taste fresh, like its home made. Comes in a coffee cup, kinda cute. Its well worth it.
Great espresso and friendly staff. Theyre doing a really good job of protecting themselves and their clients during the pandemic
Coffee was fantastic. Barista was not friendly at all. After a friendly chat with the customer before us, he barely greeted us. When I asked how the amaretto biscuit was he proceeded on some bizarre philosophical tangent on why that was an inappropriate question (it ended up being really good though). Probably wouldnt recommend stopping here.
Cute atmosphere with wonderful coffee.
This used to be a good place to hang out at night without booze. Then the owner died, somebody else took over, and now they close at 5:30pm. Have to go all the way to Starbucks at 1st and Pike for late caffeine. Groups used to meet here at night, too, like my coloring group. I miss both of them.
Great chill place to read, work, and play board games. They have large windows that stay open in the warmer months giving you a great way to be inside, but outside. I learned what a Mezzo is from Uptown and it has since been my go-to drink (half Americano, top half latte). One of the few coffee shops that stock Sweet N Low, the pink sweeteners. The brownies are individually packaged and delicious as well.
Fun location with lots of seating. The space is really big and has tall ceilings which makes it feel very open and spacious. Got a latte that tasted decent, but wouldβve liked to have more espresso flavor in it.Not the most modern or clean interior but itβs cute.
Friendly service. Fast. Comfortable place to sit with the widows open and watch passersby. So-so breakfast and expensive. Good coffee drinks. Maximum security bathrooms. Not crowded.
Do you want the usual surly Seattle Barista? Dont go here. These ones are exceptionally laid back and cool. Seriously, best you could ask for.
I just moved to the area and Ive tried all five of the other places within a few blocks from me. Hands down the best mocha by a large margin. Also, plenty of comfy chairs for relaxing and reading a book.
Love it when they open their big windows! Great place to chill under the shade trees with their sidewalk seating. Coffee is well made by friendly staff.
I like this place a lot to chill and read a book. However Iβve been coming here for 6 years and the place could use some cleaning, specially the carpets and tables. Feels a bit dirty. Good coffee though. Great service. Maybe an update to the furniture would be nice.
Nice little coffee shop with a great selection and really knowledgeable baristas. I personally like their baked goods (peach walnut muffin was bomb!) and their iced drinks. One of my favorite things about this place is the huge assortment of board games available to play for free!
The best hours of any shop around. It seems like its always open! Lots of seating with individual tables. Good lattes and drip coffee. Some unique coffee drinks you cant find at other shops.
Open space and nice big windows to feel the sun while catching up with a friend or getting some work done!
I go here somewhat frequently. The staff is very friendly. Not a huge fan of the new hours, as this was a great nighttime spot, but I still come here on weekends. I enjoy the atmosphere and the big windows they open up when the weather is nice.
I have always like Uptown. The coffee has never been better than average. But the seating is good. Staff is nice. Etc. But damn, this location is just TOO inclusive there is no normal people left working here. Ive been here a bunch of times and I wonder if there is even one straight white male working here.Today the oppressed are the oppressers and I am not a fan of the push against being normal.
I really like this space - comfy indoor seating and lovely outdoor seating under trees. Friendly baristas and decent espresso. Nice quiet oasis in busy Belltown.
Coffee was a good, solid 4.5. What makes this place awesome is the size of the inside, the abundance of tables, and the amazing choice of board games.
Great coffee and always room to sit or meet with friends when Ive stopped in.
Great coffee shop. Have been going for years. Now open until 8:00pm. Fantastic selection of board games.
I drink lattes because I love milk. The velvet foam is excellent. Coffee tastes pretty good too.
This cafe is open late and has lots of seating options. In warm weather, the floor to ceiling windows are opened. They also carry a few gluten free goodies like carrot cake, granola, and energy bars.
I went there last week and had Chai tea latte. Its the best Ive had so far in this area. Amazing flavor, very well made, great consistency. Me and my husband played board games. They had a nice collection of board games to choose from. Im definitely going here again for their Chai.
Seriously, this really is the best latte Ive ever had. I dont know why, but its just plain awesome. It can get pretty warm inside this place, so make sure you sit next to an open window! Very relaxing to just come and sit and watch a few cars drive by as you take in Seattle life.
Nice coffee shop with personality. Lots of seating. Use regularly for 2 person through 10 person meetings. Coffee is stellar, even by Seattle standard. Limited pastries and cookies, no meals. Seems strange (below average pastries), but they are reasonably busy.
Great location with a lot of open space and seating. Relaxed and quiet and good wifi. I like coming here to just get away from my apartment, order a iced coffee and write. Staff is friendly and there are a lot of people that come here. Place is great in the summer as its cool and the large windows open up.
Easily the best cappuccino in the PNW!LOVE that they open at 5am. Iβm always greeted with a friendly smile and a βwelcome backβ. Wish we had one in Vancouver, BC!
Cozy decor although with a lot of room. Comfortable and chill with great coffee and friendly staff. Whats not to love?
This place is pretty great. I love the chill atmosphere, the comfy chairs, music and of course the food and coffee.
Great staff. Large place. A lot of room to find a seat. Big doors so when its cool out they are usually open. My fave coffee shop by far. =)
Great coffee. And they have board games to borrow if you just want to chill with friends
Thank goodness Starbucks was closed! A random act of kindness from a passing native directed us to 4th and Wall for a great coffee shop. He was right. Exceeded expectations, excellent coffee and service. Great, relaxed atmosphere to hang out. Rugged wooden tables give a homey feel.
Cute inside with a lot of room. The guy behind the counter was nice. The coffee itself though was just not great. I got a grande latte and for this place claiming to be Seattleβs best latte, I think this should be improved.
Cozy place with free wifi. Not too crowded.. I always find a seat. Hope it had more eating options though.
Nice spacious place to sit down and have a peaceful morning coffee. In the evening I have seen few fun game events. Friendly staff with good hot and cold coffee collection and good snacks.
Perfect velvety foam in our coffee. Not pretentious just good. Found this gem towards end of our trip. Wish we had known from beginning. Next time!
QUIT IT WITH YOUR FING DEATH PEELS. The orange mocha is my FAVORITE. It tastes exactly like my childhood finding chocolate oranges in my Christmas stocking. But you started cutting the orange peels into these tiny little strips that I forget about and ALWAYS end up slurping through the drink hole and choke and die on. Go back to cutting larger slices. What were you thinking?!Other than that, real review, this place is great and I love every barista in Belltown.
Really liked the place, very comfy, coffee is good, bacon egg and cheese is very tasty.
Friendly, local shop. Pleasant atmosphere. Try the $10 egg & cheese sandwich too. You wont regret it.
This place is my favorite spot for reading on the weekend. Has a good indie vibe, great coffee and good atmos. Youll see me here on Sunday most weekends.
Really good coffee, the latte genera is my favorite! Has orange peel and you to get pick the type of chocolate. They also have a nice collection of other country money notes. Friendly staff too!!
Good plain coffee, but I always find their other drinks such as chai tea latte, coffee lattes, etc to be either too sweet or too full of milk. This is a large location though which is nice, so its good for groups or to hang out and work. There is also outdoor seating.
Solid cup of coffee. Convenient location, fast service, and a nice environment. Good spot for a great tasting cup of coffee. Plenty of space to spread and work or enjoy a conversation.
Great staff and great coffee. If Im ever in Seattle again Id love to stop by again
Great coffee shop thats never too crowded. Comparable price to other similar establishments. They now offer a selection of board games to play in-store (and to purchase if you enjoyed it).
Has always been a good cup of joe. Sometimes you get a line but they usually plow through it quickly. Try the Generra!
The cappuccinos are amazing! I decided to give it a try because I heard about their velvet foam and I was really impressed. The belletown location has a really nice seating area and the man that was working was really nice.
Very nice place with a good atmosphere. Staff was super friendly and fun to chat with. Food and drink were great. We got the chai, cafe mocha with milk chocolate, cranberry pecan muffin and blueberry scone.
Very nice place. Cozy interiors. Nice music. The Cappuccino is really great. The best I ever had in the US.
Service is slow, watched an employee take out the trash and then not wash his hands before serving customers. Hot tea/coffee drinks are good.
Great coffee but service way too slow
