This review is overdue, but this place is great! As a young gal, this was my first time taking my car to the mechanic so I knew just about nothing. They got my car in the next day, explained what they needed to do/gave a quote, and it was done same day! Even refilled my oil, which I had no idea was low. I would definitely recommend!

Its been around 3 months now since i had my AWD car fixed and knocking the wood so far so good.Its worth to note that i found the confidence that i didnt with my dealership talking to Al and got the job done for $300 less than the dealership.

No issues with the work on my car, as of now. But some items were taken from my vehicle while there for service..nothing expensive or worth causing a hassle over but still very unprofessional..buy your own hand sanitizer.

I am way over due for this review. I just wanted to let everyone know how good this place is. I brought in my boyfriend’s car because he had some issues with his car’s transmission. I met Al the owner of the shop, and we began talking, he asked me some questions about the car, and he was very sweet. He has also lived in Everett for a couple years now so he is very familiar with the area. Al was very kind enough to call my boyfriend’s dealer and found out I could take his car there instead, and all the work for the transmission would be covered since it still is under guarantee. He found that out for me when I had completely forgotten to ask my boyfriend about this first. Al did not have to do that, anyone else probably would have just taken my money, but Al was very kind enough to do that. I appreciate his honesty so much. He has numerous services you can get at his shop. Very nice guy! I will always be thankful of him and I will be back for future services! I definitely would recommend to anyone.

I had my 2007 Ford Explorer fixed here and the repair went perfectly. They are exceptionally nice and easy to deal with and the price was awesome for high quality work. They also offer a warranty on the repairs. They knew what was wrong with my vehicle immediately because Explorers commonly have transmission problems.

Had purchased an older vehicle a month ago . And Al was so very helpful with re building my transmission as well as fixing a few other issues that I had not even thought about . He uncovered that my rear wheel bearing was about to come off and also fixed my E brake that was no longer functioning. It was long process but he was very patient and answered my questions . Sometimes its not always about getting the job done cheapest. It was quality of the actual work . Ill be using Al again in the future. Hes a stand up guy.

After having several transmission issues with my 2002 Odyssey van I consulted Yelp and Google reviews and found this shop. Called and talked with the owner and made arrangement to drop off for full analysis and their recommendation. Louis handled the check-in and very capably explained the process they would use and the estimated costs of the likely options they would have. He called later in the day, just as he promised he would, and gave me the options. I chose the remanufacture because of the 3 year/100,000mile nationwide warranty. He said he would need three days to turn it around which fit my schedule, but I told him I really needed it by 4pm of the third day to take family members to Logan for an international flight. Louis called me a day early to say that the van was done early because he knew I really needed it on time. When I picked it up I then scheduled a time for them to do a timing belt replacement.This is one of the most friendly, competent and professional car repair shops I have ever used and I find their prices to be very reasonable, especially considering that this is Boston and not rural Virginia where my wife and I lived before moving here to be with my son and his family in retirement (assisting with childcare logistics). This van works really well for our current situation and I hope to get another 3-4 years of service out of it.My one wish? That I would have done my search for a great transmission shop at the first indication of trouble. The level of diagnostics that these folks do is extremely good and they really know transmissions. Would likely have saved me about $600 that I paid for a temp sensor replacement and three transmission flushes.

My Coolant was leaking and i did not know where it was leaking . My car was pressure tested and they found out what the issue was. That saved me a lot of trouble.

I went to Everett transmission after being recommended by my regular mechanic. My eclipse would sometimes not reverse and all my research showed that I would need a new transmission. Kyle took the time to explain to me how other things could cause this and they made an appointment for me to bring it in to check it out. They found an electrical issue and repaired it for much less than I ever expected to spend to fix this problem. Highly recommend this place.

Found this shop on RepairPal when costing out some suspension work which had been quoted to me at another shop for $1400. RepairPal said that price was jacked way up so I went with their recommendation and got it done for $700. Had a needed transmission flush while I was in also and happy with that price as well. Will be a returning customer. These guys are a great, honest business.

Fixed a couple of issues with my tranny, 2001 Pontiac Grand AM. My biggest take away was just how nice they were. I never felt like I was being taken advantage and they stayed within their quote even though labor was 5+ hours more than the estimate . If you need work done just call them!!

I hired Everett Transmission to repair the blown transmission on my Isuzu. I was informed this would cost about $4,000.00 to replace with a new one, or could have it rebuilt for about $1,800. I opted for the $1,800.00 rebuild and was so glad and delighted when the transmission blew again a short time after the warranty ran out. So I ponied up another $1,500 to have it rebuilt again and sure enough, about 3 months later right back to Mr. Friendly, Al, who now wants another $1,800.00 to rebuild the blown transmission he rebuilt two times already. If you are considering having your transmission repaired by Everett Transmission, be sure to ask how many times you have to keep paying for it until you get it done right.

They don’t do alignments....that’s an extra charge on top of the $150 misc shop materials....whatever that is???

Id give 0 stars if I could. Took my Nissan Rogue Thursday (3/21/19) afternoon for an online scheduled check, was asked to leave it to check it out next day. Wobble on acceleration and some vibration along with a clunking noise (note I had done the brakes and CV axles myself and the noise was still there). Friday afternoon still no callback. I gave them a call 3 times, first one that hey were going to call me right back (clearly didnt happen), called back again and they hung up on me, they finally give me a call at 5pm to tell me that they found nothing wrong with the car, put it in the lift and 2 guys inspected the car and found nothing wrong with it, and that that they were closing already and dont open Saturday! I went back Monday morning and as soon as I come in I see the guy leaving with my car, come back after 15mins or so and tell me that theres some slight wobble under acceleration and that it is probably the transmission (Well, Im mehcnaically inclined and I knew that probably the transmission was bad... thats why I took it to the transmission experts to have an professional diagnosis)... so he said that they dont fix CVTs, only replace them for $4500 plus. ON TOP OF EVERYTHING THEY CHARGED ME $116 FOR DIAGNOSIS FEE THAT DIDNT PROFESSIONALLY FIND ANYTHING OTHER THAN A ITS MAYBE THE TRANSMISSION.Went back home, lifted the car and started doing the inspection myself, and found out that left CV axle has a huge play up and down when forced with a pry bar, but the actual problem is the transfer case bearings, not the CV axle itself. Bottom line, I had high expectations due to the good reviews they have, but this place is clearly a joke. DONT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL!

Brought my Genesis Coupe in to Everett Transmission after hearing some strange noises coming from under the hood. They diagnosed it and ended up being the transmission. Luis walked me through the repair process, gave a very reasonable quote and they performed the job top notch. It was an unexpected repair but Alan and his guys come with a lot of knowledge and expertise, broke everything down so I could understand the issue, and performed a quality job at a reasonable cost.They stand by their work and have outstanding customer service. These guys are not your average mechanics and go above and beyond to help there customers. I would highly recommend them. Thanks again!

I brought my Volvo to the dealership for some transmission concerns. After diagnosing it, they notified me that the only corrective action would be to replace the entire transmission. As you can imagine, this was quite an expensive proposition at over $5000 and only came with a one year warranty. Having doubts I picked up the car and called around. I called Everett Transmission and they told me they may be able to fix mine for less. I dropped mine off for them to diagnose and they called to tell me they could replace just the valve body and it would correct my harsh shifting problems. For 20% of the dealers quote, my car is running perfectly again. Thanks Al and Kyle for everything.

Personally, I wasnt satisfied with the way they handle my case at first. Customer service wasnt good enough for my experience because I didnt get a call back when it was due and, I didnt get my car back on the given deadline. However, Mr Doherty, the owner listened to me, my complaints, and I understood him as well and, we worked things out. So, at the end of the day, we were both happy. Overall, hey...we all make mistakes at some point because were not perfect. Will I go back? Sure...Remember, my experience is not everyone elses. So, keep up the good work Mr Alan Doherty.
