Nice people, but I didnt have a good experience. Van was over heating, they said water pump and hose and serpentine belt, cause it had been exposed to radiator fluid. I was assured that would fix it for $540. 1 week later,, Now that the water pump was fixed, it blew holes in the radiator. $700 more to fix that. I dont have that kind of money to throw out the window, nor would I pay that not knowing if it was going to break something else. What a waste of $540. Never again.

We own a 2006 Toyota Tundra which we love. Its outfitted with all the extras that make a good work truck a true asset for a couple who constantly have a million projects to attend to. When it died on us for the first time it kinda felt like the world stopped turning. Our go to mechanic is in my husbands home town of Spokane (yeah, its been so reliable thats where our mechanic is!) so we went to Nextdoor for a referral and our neighbor recommended this shop. They quickly diagnosed a blown alternator fuse (who knew those were buried under the other fuses 🤷‍♀️) and fixed the broken AC after an oil change. The owner and staff not only regularly checked in but were able to stay on schedule with the repair after the part was lost during delivery AND negotiated for the replacement part to be priced the same as the original part. Anyway finding a good mechanic is a nightmare and these guys really came through. We love having our tundra home running as smoothly as ever! And we LOVE City Radiator & Auto Repair. 💜

They can do oil changes……The staff seemed nice enough, but the place as a whole is a money pit. I heard them selling hard to the people in front of me.First got charged and then found out he was talking about a different vehicle when he was explaining things to me.Then they couldn’t even find anything wrong with our vehicle, in which we had explained the problem to them… 3 minutes at autozone and they diagnosed our problem.Called back to try and get it fixed, now knowing what it was, and they are EXTREMELY overpriced.There are auto shops everywhere in the area, feel free to try any other one to save money.Again, the staff was fine, but they didn’t have my best interest ahead of the salesmanship.

The owner, the manager, and the repair staff ROCK! I am still working and married to a retiree. Since he can no longer work (Covid-19), we are limited. We have been using City Radiator for over 10 years and we would never consider changing that! They are honest and they will work with you. They are compassionate and realize that transportation is VERY important. They stand behind their work and I just love their professionalism and customer service. If you are looking for a Good Mechanic look no further - you just found them.

Took my truck in for diagnosis about stalling issue. Was told it was the distributor cap/rotor, so I agreed to have them to replace it. After that was done, I asked to test drive it around the parking lot, but they refused, saying the problem was mostly fixed. So I had to pay them for the work, drove it home, and the truck was still stalling (meaning bad/wrong diagnostics on their end). Later found out the air filter box was not clasped back into place, told the front desk person and was simply shrugged off as thats not good. No apologies or whatnot. Later the owner sent me a text asking how was the service? I replied not good, and never got a response back. I even called and emailed, but no response. Definitely a bad experience for me there.

This is my home base for car maintenance & repairs, and even oil changes. Never once have they done something stupid like left the oil cap half way screwed on like Jiffy Lube did, no way. This is one of the few places that would convert my 1992 R12 A/C system to R134. Another shop quoted a cheap conversion. But research showed that this wouldnt be a good long term solution. City Radiator got all the right parts to make sure the repair would last. Thanks!

This place is great for most automotive needs, I brought my Honda S2000 here for an emergency coolant bleed because I blew a coolant hose that was old and brittle. City Radiator got me in on a very short notice. Turn around time was about an hour to make sure everything was good. Very great service and for a great price! After that day I’ve been coming back when I need things done to my beloved S2000. Weeks went by and I bought a catback exhaust and these guys happily got it installed for me. Highly recommend to anyone who needs automotive care. Lastly customer service is top of the line because they care about what you need and make you feel appreciated and not wanting to get you out as fast as you came in.

I have used this business for a couple years before and have always been happy with their service. Today they changed my oil very quickly. When I went back to pick up my car, when I got in the handle to closed my door was covered in black grease. I am so offended by this. I am sure it must be on the steering wheel also, but since it is black, I was unable to make that determination. You would think that since we are fighting against Covid, that they would take every precaution to make sure they treated my car with car and kept it safe for me to get into it. Of course leaving grease on the door handle is disgusting. I was very disappointed.

Update Jan 2021: car would not start, had to have to towed. City Radiator was first place we called. Liz was great helping get car towed. Tyler followed up with it was due to dead battery. Car done on time. Again - stellar work by good honest people. Wish they were in Florida too.May 2020 I wish I could give 10 stars. My son moved from Florida to Everett in January. We knew no one in the area, so I did some research and found City Radiator. I spoke with Tyler and ask for quote as I knew he needed brakes and oil change. Tyler called me back, sent quote and kept in contact during COVID until my son could bring his car in. Adam picked up the car today and I could not be more thrilled with the attention to detail, follow through and commitment they kept. The car is 16 years old so It is an uneasy feeling being 2000 miles away making sure your son has reliable transportation. No hidden fees, no extra charges.100% stellar team. Adam will be customer for life. They are honest, do what they say they are going to do, and went ABOVE and BEYOND what they needed to do to get the job done. Thank you!

Wow, this place is amazing. The people are so kind and really just want to help you achieve what you need to get done. Their prices are super reasonable, their service is very fast, their work is high quality, and you can trust them. I went in because my car had been in an accident and needed some extensive work but I couldnt afford to get it all done at once. Liz and Steve went out of their way and above and beyond to help me in a way I could afford that kept me and my car safe. My car died AGAIN for the hundredth time ON MY BIRTHDAY =|anyways I googled the few repair shops near me and these guys had no bad reviews that I could see at least, so I called and asked about having my car towed there. Tyler answered said yes, said he was super busy but he’d see what he could do for me. I went in the next afternoon and was told they’d had a couple hiccups with the replacement alternator it ended up that they had to keep my car a few more days over the weekend BUT it was ready to rock and roll just like they said it would be right when they said it would be!I think this place is the bees knees!!They even handled the billing with the warrantee company no problem!THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE AT CITY RADIATOR I APPRECIATE YOU!

I gave them my 67 ford, they did a great job and help my find out that I did NOT need work done to my carburetor. I only needed new motor mounts to stop my engine from jumping around everytime i hit a bump. Thank you so much for your time and the fair price.

I had an issue at first mainly because of a misunderstanding with communication between the two parties. Liz is amazing and resolved this quickly. She immediately addressed my concerns and reached out to me and made sure i was satisfied. She was very professional, and you can tell she really cares about her customers. I took my car to the dealership after a run-in with a curb during Snowstorm 19 and they wanted a fortune for suspension repairs while telling me it was unsafe to drive. I needed a second opinion and went to City Radiator after seeing many positive reviews online. They gave me peace of mind that the situation wasnt as dire as I had been told and they even called around to find a new wheel rim out of concern for my well-being.The price they quoted me for repairs was a fifth of what the dealership wanted!Guy and Chad are affable and down to earth and I will definitely come back to have them fix future screw-ups as well as oil changes and the like.

They worked on my car without my permission and they still wanted me to pay for the service they did, when he told me he will call me to me the problem for the car before fixing it they didn’t bother it was only 2 caliper bolts that came off, they were gonna charge me 130$

I’ve had my car serviced here a few times now, on the recommendation of a friend. The first time was after my car was involved in a collision, and I didn’t have collision coverage on my insurance. I limped my car over and Liz got her crew working on it. There was major work needing to be done, and I was terrified of how much it would be, but Liz did a great job of locating parts at low cost and also allowed me to break up the payment in two chunks. I’ve also had maintenance work done there, the staff is very friendly and I trust them not to try and upsell me on items I don’t need. My last service had a couple of hiccups due to a communication breakdown, but Liz made it right. I will definitely be going back!

I have been taking my cars to City Radiator for several years now as my daughter and son-in-law do also. I dont know what Aaron Paxtons problem is. Maybe he is writing to boost a competitor. The old saying that you cant please all of the people all of the time might apply to him. Rachel has always been very honest and has our best interest at heart. When a relative of ours couldnt afford to pay the whole cost of service at one time, City Radiator worked out a payment option to help them out. If work does not need to be done immediately, she will say so. If a coupon can be used, she will recommend it. When we had a problem one time, they stood by their work, towed the car at their cost to their location, and repaired it promptly without any additional charges. Every company makes mistakes but not every company handles it so professionally. Their prices are very fair and they do their best to fit your service into their schedule as promptly as possible. I highly recommend them for their honesty, integrity, professionalism and truly caring about their customers.

We were in Everett from out of town for my daughters soccer game on a Saturday when my Highlander broke down. The lovely folks at City Radiator had me back on the road with a new alternator 45 minutes after the tow truck dropped us off. Incredible experience.

I have been taking all 4 of my vehicles here for years. I never, ever had a bad experience, not a single one when Rich and Rachel were there. Sad to say that day finally came. New owners, new management, new guys in the shop, this is just not the same shop anymore. The whole atmosphere and feeling is different. It doesnt seem to be about taking care of me and my vehicles needs, its about what will make them the most money. They told me my car needed tons of money in repairs and maintenance, because I already felt uneasy with new people there I decided to hold off and get a second opinion. 2 different shops told me not only the work they recommended didnt need to be done, some stuff already had been done, so I checked my records and sure enough it had been done less then a year ago, through them!!! I will never step foot back into this shop again. Ownership changed, management changed and not for the better, very disappointing. There is no worse feeling then loosing a great, trustworthy and honest mechanic.

Great service. I was at Starbucks down the street with my hood up and the owner saw me and offered to help. I had my car towed to .City Radiator and they stayed over and got my car fixed so I could get home the same day. Every one was friendly very professional and caring. .

I had my check engine light come on an it was my O2 sensor i made a appt to have diagnostic ran on monday and i had a reserved appt on sat and the were done in about an hour! For the amount i was quoted! I highly recommend them for a job well done!

A family member did a seriously stupid thing with my wifes car, and City Radiator still managed to bail us out of a $4-5k transmission repair on her WRX...despite not specifically being a shop of transmission experts, they nevertheless proved the Full Service in Full Service Shop during our most recent trip to the shop. They also communicated with us clearly, frequently, and with care taken to ensure we understood our options throughout our interactions with them.Prior to that, they replaced a radiator for us, along with some component tubing, and did an excellent job of it. The staff is courteous, knowledgeable, positive, and very helpful...you can take your cars here for basically any kind of service and be confident in the quality, price, and professionalism of the staff and their service. Would not hesitate to recommend this shop to friends and family.

A few weeks ago my 86 Vanagon had a major leak on I-5 north. I took the first exit and at the gas station saw my coolant gushing out. I was not in a familiar area and was far away from my Westy mechanic in Seattle. I was stuck. After calling around and realizing most places are closed Saturday I received a referral from Precision Auto who said City Radiator was great and might be able to help. I called immediately and while the office manager said they were packed, she felt bad and said that if I could get a tow to the shop, they would at least diagnose it and maybe put a band-aid on it so I could get to Seattle.They did just that! They looked at it, knew the pipe was corroded and the shop foreman darted off to the auto parts store. Sadly, they didnt have the part I needed. They said I could keep it locked up in the shop while they ordered it.The part arrived, they fixed it and kept me informed of the process the whole way. If I ever get stranded again, I hope Im near City Radiator!

I brought my car into City Radiator regarding an over heating issue I am a Car Hop Customer and Car Hop Denied my service of repair. City Radiator has gone out of their way to help me and fix my car and worked with me has far has a price goes. They are extremely fast and very friendly. Rich (the owner) is a stand up guy and a honest man. I appreciate all they have done.

I took my Jeep in to get it checked out and within minutes their staff had diagnosed the issues I was having fixed them and had me out the door! Great service, very quick and thorough. I cant imagine finding a better shop.

I owned my car for about a year and had only put 8000 miles on my car when I brought my Hyundai Sonata in because it had stalled several times and started making a clacking noise after my last stall. I was charged $100 for an oil change and timing belt inspection (for the noise). They didnt find anything and wanted more $$$ for diagnostic time. I couldnt afford that so I picked up my car.When I picked it up I was told they service a fleet of Hyundais and that my car was SAFE TO DRIVE and if the noise got worse to come back. Well my cars engine blew up the next day. Too bad a company that services a fleet of Hyundais didnt know (or did they) about the Engine recall on my Hyundai that states there was metal debris left in the crankshaft which restricted oil flow to the rod bearings causing engine stalling and other engine failures. My car was NOT safe to drive and now theres a big hole in my engine. IMO youd think a company that services a fleet of Hyundais would have known about the recall and not tried to get more $$$ for diagnostic time. So because they said my car was safe to drive and it wasnt and because they service a fleet of Hyundais and didnt know anything about their recalls, is why they get my 2 star rating.

They take great care with the repairs they do, and I am always 100% satisfied with the quality of work done and the speed at which they finish it. I would recommend them to everyone! The first shop I have ever trusted, and the only shop we will ever take our vehicles to in the future!

Buyer be warned, shady..Asked them to drill and tap some pedals for me. They said they needed to buy a new pedal set.When I returned they had bought a $24 set from pep boys that didnt fit on my pedals, nothing was drilled or tapped.They charged me $50 for the $24 pedals and $90 labor. I was told to come back a couple days later and they would fix the mistake.Went back, no refund for the pedals that didnt fit in the first place.City you guys can keep my $50 but my hometown deserves to know your out only for your own pocket.

Please dont bring your car there, because I sent my car over there and his mechanics were not able to repair the car, and they made me pay $ 175 for diagnosis they did nothing, unable to find the problem and he asked me to send their vehicle to toyota, in addition they want me to sign a paper that I refused, I advise no one to send their car there.

I recently had my AC compressor on my truck replaced by this so called service shop. Rachel who works the front counter, did I mention she is the owners daughter is a total scammer and will try to milk you for every penny she can get. Ive been going there for years and it used to be a reputable shop 5 or 6 years ago but not anymore. My AC on my truck quit working and turned out to be a compressor. When I first took it in she was very rude and tried to use a series of scare tactics. I brushed it off thinking she was having a bad day and scheduled an appointment to return another day. I dropped the truck off as planned and went about my business knowing my truck would be ready the next day. The next day I get a call from Rachel telling me I should replace my cycle switch a $30.00 part. So I ask where it is on the vehicle and she tells me its on the top of the engine compartment so I respectfully decline. This is where it all started. She gets an attitude with me and yells at me telling me fine well I will just call you back when we find out its bad At this point I am seeing a trend in her very poor customer service skills. Now the conversation has gone sour and me being the paying customers decide Ive had enough and ask her to put my truck back together and let me know when it’s ready. I get a call 2 hours later from here daddy, Rich who is the owner telling me my truck is done and ready to be picked up. I arrange a time with Rich to come pick up the truck. Upon arrival I find the fuse cover sitting on the floor of the passenger side of the truck and grease everywhere all over my leather seats. I go back inside and talk to Rich and he sends out his best technician which I might add is the only competent person there to address my concerns. This is not the first time they had messed up. A year before that I took my work truck in to have the heater core changed. After getting it back I noticed the dash was not even and when I went to use my AC it blew nothing but hot air. Turns out they had to evacuate the AC and never recharged it. When I addressed this with the owner his response was it only goes back in one way that must have been how it was when we got it. Being a business owner myself I pay a lot of attention to detail, it is what real professionals do. At this point I have lived with it for over a year and had kind of forgotten about it until the bad memories came back up when they did a Mickey Mouse job on my AC compressor replacement. The poor customer service and verbal attack from Rachel just nailed the coffin shut. About a week later I am changing the oil on the truck only to notice they removed some wiring from the inner fender well which they told me they had to pull to access the AC compressor and never put it back. WOW! Once I found that I decided to look over the whole install, come to find out they only put 1 bolt back in to hold my receiver dryer or condenser as some might know it by and just did a horrible job all the way around. The owner does not care; Rachel does not care, as long as you are sending money that is all they care about. Once they get your money good luck to you if you dont like something, something goes wrong or heaven forbid you have an opinion about their poor craftsmanship. All and all I should of learned the first time when I had my heater core done and they threw it back together. If I can educate just one person this review was worth the time, effort and energy. There are plenty of reputable shops out there that care, will treat you with respect and bend over backwards to make you happy but this is just not one of them. On another note if you look at the reviews online and read them, none of them, okay maybe a few but 90% of them were written by people they paid to write them. This is an honest review by a real honest person. City Radiator has no business working on people’s cars and should be shut down. Thank you for your time.

I have been taking my vehicle there for a couple years now, and our daughter is now taking their vehicles there and they are the most reasonable, and mainly the most trusted place I have ever been to. Even though they are called City Radiator, they have fixed all kinds of things for me.
