The manager Eric is very helpful also and friendly makes you feel at home and that your car is in good hands with A1 automotive. The technicians all seem very knowledgeable, professional and efficient at there repairs. Great work guys keep it up and keep putting faith back in to the, honest mechanic.

I took my Audi to Ryans Arlington shop a few months ago (nobody likes working on audis so bless them) because I needed them to check my oil leak & I needed all new tires ASAP. Him and his team were very professional and very very fast to order me some great tires and put them on for a great price. Fast forward to a few days ago, I reached out to the owner (Ryan) saying I needed my ac in my car to be fixed. I took it in, they diagnosed it, bought the parts, (it wasn’t just a recharge I needed a new compressor) and put everything on within 24 hours. Pricing Was Also extremely affordable which is fantastic because Covid is affecting business is right now & everything’s expensive. I love supporting small shops. Ryan and his team are fantastic.

I can typically fix most things on my jeep myself.. but when I dont have time to deal with it I take it here. Always fast and professional and will be real with you. My family brings vehicles here and so do some friends. All great experiences. Definitely recommend

Ive brought my car here a few times with no issues, doing basic maintenance and oil changes. Theyve always been helpful, quick, and relatively affordable. My boyfriend brought his newly purchased Subaru here to replace a ball joint and get an oil change, and they wanted him to leave it overnight. We dropped it off, and called back a few days later because we hadnt heard anything yet. Turned out they never got the car, meaning someone reached into the key drop off slot the night we dropped it off and got the keys, and stole the car. This leads to a full police investigation, etc etc because they conveniently dont have any cameras pointing at the key drop off slot. Police told them they needed to move and reinforce the box so its not so easy to get to. A1 wouldnt give us a straight answer if cars had been stolen from there in this manner before, and when we went back to check again a few days later if the box had been moved, it hadnt.Basically, they were responsible for his car getting stolen but assumed no responsibility, were unhelpful in the process of retrieving it or checking with us why we had said it had been dropped off but it wasnt actually there, and didnt follow the polices instructions to help prevent this from happening again.I had 0 problems with them before this, but just a huge warning, I would never drop a car off overnight, because its EXTREMELY EASY TO STEAL.

I will never use A1 again and I warn people against using A1. My car ran and I could drive it before taking it there. I can no longer drive the car and the work I paid for was not done. I had it brought home today and it won’t even lock. My car had a full tank of gas when it was taken to that shop and came home on empty . This shop will rip you off and leave you with a broken vehicle

My car was stolen from A1 on Tuesday, Dec. 15th; I dropped it after-hours and sent my key through the key slot, assuming it was secure. I called for a progress update on Thursday the 17th and they claim to have never seen the car or key, indicating it was taken Tuesday night. I called the police and filed a report. Once the officer arrived we looked to see how far down the box catching keys was sitting - about six inches below the slot. I could fit my hand in there aka NOT SECURE. I returned Monday the 21st around 4pm and the box had NOT BEEN MOVED. Only after I ripped into the owner, not after a CAR WAS STOLEN, did the key box get relocated.My girlfriend and I have each had work done here several times prior with no issues. The staff had been pleasant and timely. Unfortunately, knowing it took a second visit (two business days later) to get them to change the drop-box location that led to me losing my car neither my girlfriend nor I will be returning.They have not reached out to see how the investigation is going, offered any sort of reimbursement, or claimed a lick of fault. You are to sign an envelope when dropping keys which supposedly frees them of any liability for theft or damages.

The guys here are great! very friendly, and good prices. they genuinely show appreciation to their loyal customers. ive brought all 4 of my cars to them when its a repair im not comfortable doing myself. they have a technician who knows all the ups and downs to volkswagens, and i trust him to do anything to my vehicle. if i could rate 6 stars, i would. highly recommend them!

Took my 2015 Jeep Renegade in for some issues. Originally I was told that it would need a diagnostic test done on it. The issue was fixed and Tony said not to worry about the diagnostic charge since it was just an oil change issue. Now it is working great. Thank you Tony and A-1 for helping us out.

A big shout out to Carlos and Eric at A-1. Replaced my power steering pressure sensor on the Lincoln LS Sport in a day and at a reasonable price. The great thing is Carlos has one as well so he is dialed in on this auto. Even the dealers didnt have an idea how to get it done. Thanks.

****UPDATE#2**** The original problem is back Anyone that would take there car here is a idiot!! I leaned from my mistake, dont make the same.They should not be in business. I will be repairing there work my self as they can not be trusted to fix a flat tire. 100% the worst shop on the planet. *****UPDATE***** new issue found with these horrible mechanics. While trouble shooting 02 sensor issue I found a pinched wire between the trany and block causing the engine light to come on for failed 02 sensor. Just horrible work, they should ****NOT BE IN BUSINESS**** If I had a option for zero stars I would have. They replaced a throw out bearing and clutch in my 2005 mustang GT. I had to take it back and have it redone because they said a rock got in there, which the rock is about twice the size of the inspection hole. they were going to charge me the original price but after I threatened a lawyer we settled on labor costs. I got the car back and had blown fuses and a bad 02 sensor down by transmission, which after searching forums found that this happens when replacing a transmission and pinching wires. When I got under the car to fix what they had messed up I noticed missing bolts on the inspection plate which was making noise from the vibration. I am scared to take my car on long drives because who knows what else they forgot or messed up on the pressure plate and clutch when they replaced it. A word of warning DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!! I WOULDNT TAKE MY LAWN MOWER TO THEM!!!!

I am beyond thrilled with the service from A1 auto service, they are extremely thorough, they do not overcharge they are very fair, they installed a tow hitch on my 2017 Nissan rogue for $50, after being quoted at the Nissan dealership at $350. Keeping in mind it was a custom fit tow hitch the required only four bolts and had a video that was less than five minutes to watch describing how to install it. The technician was more than willingTo watch the video, and was grateful because it made his job way easier and it took him less than a half an hour to install what would’ve been hours and hours had I taken it to the Nissan dealership plus an extra $350. I highly recommend this company, they are extremely trustworthy in my opinion

I had a main seal leaking and they fixed it. Other issues were addressed as well and their communication was great. Only issue is that NOW my Check Engine light is on. So I will go back so they should clear the Code.

This shop is a truly rare find! The guys are very nice and answer all questions I had and are not out to see how much can be tacked on the final bill and finding a shop that is honest is so awesome I cannot sing their praises enough! Work is done in a timely fashion, no hidden charges, no padding the labor clock and also told me about things that I might have not noticed and mentioned but did not push a sale which happened in other shops just because I am a female. Not here ladies these are the good guys.And ladies, I was pleasantly surprised to find not only the usual fare of magazines but also there are issues of Cosmopolitan, Good Housekeeping, and O magazine plus a Krups coffee maker to make a custom cup of Joe while I flipped through the pages of Cosmo. That was a milestone.The work is always thorough and neat with no greasy fingerprints on hood, door or steering wheel which also told me what kind of business A1 is and will use them and recommend this shop for any auto repair or maintenance needs and once you do business with A1 Auto you wont go anywhere else!Eric and Tony run the front and will greet you first and get the info and work up the order for you and will give a estimate of how long. When I was told one hour I went and had a quick lunch and came back early so while i checked out the chick mags I also noticed that the mechanics did not come up front unless absolutely necessary and when I stepped outside for a quick smoke I peeked in the shop to see what the mechanics were up to and THEY WERE WORKING!50 stars in my book and if you go anywhere else all I can say is yall must have more money than sense....And you will see some not so stellar reviews and folks if you read them I hope you will notice like I did that the way they spoke I dont believe anything would have made them a satisfied customer because I happen to have a little mechanical knowledge and they dont seem to be telling the entire story which I refer to as the truth. Cant please everybody is a fact of life in business. Doing business old school is better hands down.

We have been going to A1 Auto Service for several years now. Our last service center lied to us about repairs. Trust became an issue. My wife found a Groupon for A1 and it was time for an oil change. What we found was a typical garage that wasnt typical. They were honest and told us our options. I like a place that will tell you, Thats really expensive and you can get away with just this for now. Of course we fixed it and the price has always been reasonable! I recommend A1 to everyone.

Had to get my timing chain replaced on my Honda Accord. Dealer quoted me 1100 dollars more than these guys. Had it towed here and had it done by the end of the day. The only reason I am only rating 4 stars is I had to bring it back not long after to have the idle adjusted as it was way off. Other than that good and fast service.

This place is awesome. Tony is great and the shop is very flexible with your schedule. Further, the enterprise rent a car up the road provides a flat rate for this shop.Why 5 stars? The price (i called 14 places) was unbestable, the work was great everyone was nice and explained everything. I tried to use my own parts (which some worked and other were cheap/wrong) but some needed to be replaced. The cost was still reasonable and got my car done in 24 hrs.This was a timing belt with coolant flange repair on a 2002 tdi vw new beetle.

Good, solid independent garage. Ive been taking my vehicles to A1 Auto for several years for maintenance. They have always been fair and done good work. Nobody likes spending money on auto repairs, but Ive found that preventative maintenance pays in the long run. My car a Chevy Lumina, is 24 years old, has over 300K miles on it, and is still running strong. Regular maintenance and driving it gently have kept it on the road. The auto repair business is a brutal business to be in. I have known the owner, Tony Cao and Eric (service manager) his crew to be honest people that I trust. I used to take my cars to dealerships, but found them to be total crooks. Id say that if youre a working person who depends upon their vehicle for transportation, A1 is a very good choice. Nothing fancy. Just good solid work at a fair price!

Didnt know what was wrong with my car, end up paying 1500 for fixing a problem that in other place costed me 120, all they got to do was to change 4 bad spark plugs.

I havent even picked up my car yet and wanted to write a review. While on a weekend trip to Seattle my car died on me, stranding me 200 miles from home and needing to get back Portland for work. Ryan at A1 Auto Service took fantastic care of me, helping me get a tow, staying late to get the work done the same day and keeping the price as low as possible (even when the problem was a bit larger than expected). Not only did he take care of the pressing issues he also provided me with a list of issues Ill want to address in the future (without pressuring me to have them done with him, or immediately) on a used car that is a fairly recent purchase. I cant say enough fantastic things about him and the company. If I end up moving to Seattle as expected I will be using him again in the future for all of my car needs.

I just moved here from Ellensburg. Looking for a trustworthy place to get my car worked on. Checked ratings on internet. These are the guys! So nice! Fair price, good work! Eric is just a great guy! Poor communication between customer and service manager resulted in incomplete sub par workmanship.After telling the service manger numerous times what work I wanted done to my car. A full week later only a portion of the work (that was repeatedly requested) was completed when I picked up my vehicle.The final cost was literally 4 times the amount that was quoted. And when I returned the vehicle to them to correct a mistake they made. I was asked to pay up front for the work, to correct their mistake.I have had problems with them in the past and thought Id give them another chance to redeem themselves. This was my last mistake with them. I took my to the shop next to theirs to get their mistakes fixed to make my vehicle safe to drive again for a fraction of the cost they asked for to fix their mistake.Avoid A-1 auto service.

This place is absolutely pathetic. Cant even figure out how to connect spark plugs or properly install a distributor. Left gasket out when installed. There obviously writing there own reviews. Have to have shop go through and fix all they did. Waste of money.

The personnel at A1 were extremely helpful, efficient and didnt try to sell unnecessary work. They completed a very difficult job on my Passat within 24 hours and priced it reasonably.

Came here several months ago to get my Passat looked at after i destroyed my oil pan. Came in, they told me I had no oil (duh). I also had lights showing up on my dash randomly (main reason I came in). They never saw anything. Went to VW Dealership... It was a short. Wouldnt trust these guys to do a general check up.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!! WORST AUTO SERVICE CENTER EVER!!!!!!!It all started when my dad needed to get his timing belt changed in his 2004 TDI Jetta, after a couple of days we went to go pick it up and he drove off but noticed they didnt put on the turbo hose on correctly, so they had fix that and everything seemed to be good. After a couple of weeks, my dad and I went down to Bellingham, WA and we hit a pot hole, after we hit the pot hole, everything went downhill from there. The car made this HORRIBLE noise and all these engine lights came flashing on, we went to the nearest car repair place we could find and the technician told use the the motor mount bolts came loose. My dad called A1 auto repair and told them everything and they said they would call us right back but never did and left us stranded 75miles from home. The technician directed us down to another auto repair place about a mile down the road (the car barley made it) the technician the second place told us hed fix it and that whoever worked on this before didnt tighten the motor mount bolts(one bolt was sheared off and two were missing) and thats why the engine dropped 4 inches from its original place, which ruined the timing belt, cover, all the pulleys, and upper pulley bolts, and broke the motor mount. We left bellingham after being there for about 3 hours. My dad went there the next day and told them he wanted it all fix since they caused all these problems and A1 auto repair called him a lier and they wanted proof so my dad gave him the phone number to second auto repair place we went to (the one who put new bolts in the motor mount) and A1 didnt believe him either so we gave them the first auto repair place we went to and they finally agreed to fix the car. We dropped the car off and then when we picked it up they were VERY DISRESPECTFUL!!!!!!! They rolled theyre eyes at us and ignored us, and they kept indicating we were liars.Neither me or my dad will NEVER go back there again!!!
