We recently got a car for both me and my husband. It was a great experience with attentive salespersons. The whole process was smooth and Joanna and Dory were great to work with. Matt, one of the managers, was also great to work with! Definitely a great place to shop for a new car!
I purchased 4 tires and discovered on my way home that my windshield wiper was missing. The rep brought a set to my home but they didn’t fit. Called back and Adam was rude and raised his voice at me. I will NEVER use this place again.Update: Luis is an exceptional Service Technician. He went above and beyond to ensure my wipers were replaced. If you go there, ask for him!
I had my Volkswagen Atlas serviced for several issues. They did a great job - very competitive pricing, highly communicative, and an easy and seamless experience. I’m really glad I chose them for service.
I have been to a few of the VW dealers for oil changes and service, and the customer service I was provided here was great! My car needed an oil change ASAP and I couldn’t get into any of the other locations, but this locations squeezed me in even though they were booked. I dropped my car off the night prior and my car was ready by 12pm the next day (I had an oil change, general service check, and a recall fixed). Staff is ALL super friendly too. Highly recommend.
Dory was amazing! She helped make a sometimes stressful process easy. Fernando made sure our new vehicle was detailed and both were so helpful and lovely I strongly suggest everyone come to City Volkswagen for a great experience. Thanks again!
The work was done perfectly and just took 2 hours. The manager is nice and called back for the repairing experience.
Such a Smooth and easy process from beginning to end! Professional across the board and the best sales person, John Sheehy. We went in without an appointment but were still seen and shown around. John was exceptional, patient, and with so much knowledge. Despite not having an appointment he took his time in showing us different models and taking us out on a test drive. Once we got to the finance part of it all this dealership is hands down the most straight forward and quick to close. Mark answered all of our questions and moved quickly and efficiently. It was refreshing to work with a team that knows their stuff and values their customers.
Trust place to buy parts for you Volkswagen friend employees. My service to my vehicle was accurate and I felt confident leaving my car with them. I look forward to doing more business with them.
First time service for my 2020 Tiguan, and first time with pre-paid routine maintenance. The visit was smooth and efficient, though I did opt for the $30 tire rotation, since it has been a year. Adam was able to quote VW specs from memory when I posed a few questions. Top notch service.
Had a great experience working with the team at VW Downtown Chicago. They were able to help me find the car I was looking for and worked with me to get me a good deal that I was happy with. They do have an off site garage for most of their fleet though so I would recommend making an appointment and they bring the car to the dealership before you get there and have it ready to test drive.
Adam and Heriberto were able to get me an appointment sooner than I expected. I left my car to have it serviced.Heriberto called me to informed on the problem and what needed to be done to resolve it. I had my car back to me by the end of the day. Thank you guys!!
The quality of the service at this VW has dropped precipitously since its opening. I received an oil change and tire rotation this past Tuesday (10/19). When I received my car it had not been washed nor cleaned. None of my fluids were checked or topped off along with no 12 point inspection. I also noticed something interesting. The tire pressure indicator light had not gone away. So I drove 2 blocks only to find out that my psi in 3 of my tires were well below the threshold. Absolutely unacceptable and ridiculous when you think that one of the services that was performed was a tire rotation. This is the second time in a row that I have received absolutely abysmal service.
I used this location because it is so closed to my work. It is convenient and the workers are very friendly. I do appreciate the customer service I received here. Thank you.
Great place to service your car. They have availability they are on timing and they get you back-and-forth with a Lyft so no troubles
It’s been two years since moving into the city, so I was very hesitant about going to a NEW dealer for service on my 2017 Passat. Well let me tell you, the service here is phenomenal! I was very lucky to have Mike S. as my service tech. Mike was very professional, very detailed in explaining what was wrong with my vehicle and he stayed consistent with this treatment by walking me to my vehicle once service was complete. You just don’t get THIS type of service anymore. Can’t believe I’m saying this BUT, I’m looking forward to my next service visit here at Volkswagen of Downtown Chicago.
Luis Tinoco got me in a out with no games. Cool dude, go see him if you need the VW fixed.
Brought my car in for service post-cross country trip in preparation for heading back to the west coast. They were extremely thorough and so far, the car feels almost like new. Biggest issue I had was trouble reaching an actual person in the service department. Multiple attempts, multiple days. But when I was able to get someone, they were great.
Very kind and professional. As a young woman, I get patronized frequently and many places try to rip me off or trick me into purchasing unnecessary things for my car. I wanted a tire rotation and oil change. And they did just that. Didn’t try to pressure me into buying anything else or doing anything else. They were friendly and the price was decent for a dealership in the city. Definitely would recommend.
The service reps were very kind and attentive and the price as the cheapest quote I received, in spite of everyone telling me not to go to the dealership. I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 because I had to wait almost a week for an appointment and the delivery of my vehicle once it was done took a little longer than I preferred. Overall I say, go with the dealership first, they know the car and the prices were right!
Honestly the worst car dealership I’ve ever encountered. I saw a car with a salesman, then followed up wanting him to order me the one that we discussed. He wouldn’t return my calls for a week, called and just asked to speak with any salesperson because I just wanted the car. No one called me back ever so I got the car from Bill Jacob’s VW in Napleton, where I had a great experience.
Bill and Adam were amazing. Very helpful in communicating was what happening and what needed to be done. They were great to work with!
I have no complaints about this Volkswagen service shop! When I needed an update or an estimate time of what needed to get done, Miguel was there with an answer and streamlined the process. Will be coming here for any other maintenance my car needs!
Chris Smith did a wonderful job! He was very knowledgeable and I can tell he loves what he does. He was very accommodating and personable. My husband and I loved his approach and he sealed the deal. Chris is definitely an asset to this company. “O” was also helpful with this purchase. The wait for the financing department was ridiculous. We were there in total for about 7 hours. As we were buying the vehicle as a gift for my daughter’s graduation. I asked for a bow and I was told that the dealership uses the bows for photo opps or for the holidays and basically that I could not have one. I think asking for a bow to go on the car should have been very minute to the time I wasted their to purchase and for the money spent . The dealer should have accommodated me somehow at least with a $14 dollar bow. However, since I knew we would purchase a vehicle. We rode with my sister who parked with valet. Upon retrieving the vehicle, there were a missing item and that didn’t sit well with me. It was small, but it belonged to her and that’s not okay.So I’m conclusion I have to give 5 stars for Chris Smith but for the dealership 3 stars due to the experience.
I brought my car in for the 80,000 mileage maintenance, which included an oil change and cost $850 total. A few days later my engine oil light came on. I checked the engine oil multiple times, on a flat surface and after waiting 10 minutes for the engine to cool down, and the engine oil level barely was at the minimum dipstick level. I had to add my own oil to the car in order to drive it back to the dealership. When I brought it back they said they couldn’t “duplicate the incident,” or find any issues. They flushed the oil and topped it back off. The engine oil change was clearly not done properly and when I returned it to be fixed, they took no responsibility, made no effort to apologize, or offered any kind of reimbursement. This photo shows the engine oil level a few days after the “oil change.”
Overall wonderful experience from the whole dealership. Angie was a pro and made the process painless and enjoyable.
Always work now with Luis, very competentand keeps me informed. confident in hishandling any issues
Very professional and courteous team. Uses technology through the whole process, including electronic invoices and e-payments.One area for improvement is that the appointment scheduling system doesn’t seem to communicate with the in-person visit, so all the information I had entered had to be re-entered (e.g., name, address, reason for visit, etc.)
3 hours of my time wasted waiting to test drive a car that was already sold. My time is valuable. They really need to fix their processes. I had cash ready to go to buy a car. They said they had it.
Went in 3 weeks ago to negotiate a Tiguan lease. After multiple discussions, we finally agree on a price but ask for a little less to put down and their response was a higher monthly payment and higher money down with less annual miles because they “ran the zip code” and realized their original estimate on taxes was incorrect. They had this zip code from the start by the way.I’m aware the ups and downs of car negotiations, but this was unprofessional and a waste of time. Prepare to get swindled and prepare to wait a day or two to get one little question answered. Disappointing
Awesome customer service. Made my purchase easy and direct. I would definitely buy another car from Preston, he was being very attentive and made it that much better.
We wanted to buy a car. They said they only do appointments, and the latest appt can be at 7pm. We scheduled an appointment for the next day morning, since we could not make before 8pm. We went in, they have said somebody walked in last night and bought the car. They did not call us to say. Instead they walked with us, made us sit and wait and show other car options that we don’t want. We took day off from our jobs for this non sense and drove all the way there just to hear they sold the car. If we knew we could walk in, we would do it the day before! So unprofessional. Call regularly if you are going to see a car, because they do not inform at all (Plus they say they have parking-no they dont have any space for your car) if you need vw dealer/service go to Volkswagen Oaklawn and talk to Eduardo, little more drive but professional service!
Great place to get your VW! Awesome treatment from Dorry, Mark and the team.Highly recommended!
While I know that the car buying process can be a long and daunting one. However, overall, I found my experience with the dealership to be as pleasant as it could be - it was probably my best car buying experience, besides getting a $75 ticket on W. Oak Street! I had to park 2 blocks away because parking was not available anywhere in front of the dealership or close by; I circled the block three times. Later, I was told that the dealership has valet service for those with an appointment. Well, I had an appointment. I felt VW of Downtown Chicago should have taken responsibility for at least part of the ticket - that gesture would have been admirable and good customer service. The sales and finance personnel were personable, kind, and professional. I never felt I was being raked over the coals. They made me feel safe and that I was getting the best possible deal available.I had to return 3 days later to wrap up a couple of things. I made sure to request valet and found the back of my vehicle was dented. I called the next morning and afternoon without success. I finally reached the service manager. He showed professionalism and exceptional customer service when he said to come in to view it together. We did, and he is scheduling a day for me to bring the vehicle in to remove the dent, and is offering a rental to boot! He turned my frown upside down.Although I am happy with my purchase, overall, I feel that the dealership could have taken responsibility for the ticket, and been more communicative about it could have been better.
Called this dealer about an appointment to determine why the check engine light came on. When I arrived for the appointment, they told me there is a charge of $190 to diagnose the problem that I would have to pay regardless of the finding even I didn’t proceed with them on a fix. They should have told me about the charge when I called to make the appointment. I view this as basically a bait and switch combined with psychological entrapment. Buyer beware!I tried this dealer again after a very poor experience a couple years ago. Joke’s on me :(Update: after the appointment, driving home, I noticed that the check engine light was no longer on and the auto up feature of the driver-side window was no longer working. I called the service rep who managed this service for follow-up information. I got voice mail both times and *still* have not received a call back as of 9/3/2021, adding insult to injury. Not sure why the owner comment below asked for my name since I posted publicly, but here goes: Joe Bernstein.
I had a horrible experience at this dealership.First, I called and asked if a vehicle was in a stock. They confirmed it was so I go in.I get there and they jockey me around and I have to wait for 45 minutes to see the car. Finally, they bring the car and it is the wrong car.The lady says she will find out where the said car is, wait another 20 minutes. No one there could help me when all I wanted was to see a car. After a 2 hour ordeal, I found out they didnt even have the car. I left and wont be returning.I will be purchasing from another VW dealership.
Jaymi G. was my Service Advisor and she was great--very pleasant and patient. She did a great job explaining all of my service options (was there for regular vw maintenance). She patiently answered my questions and thoroughly communicated throughout the process.I havent had service this good at this location in almost 10years--back when I had an Audi Q7. The service time was good and it didnt take 45mins for them to bring my car down. .
I walked into VW of Downtown Chicago slightly thinking they would look down on me (it’s a classy joint) and I would be the last person serviced, but to my surprise, they were very friendly and courteous.I was greeted and immediately set up with a sales agent and they valeted my car so I didn’t have to worry about downtown parking regulations. We were in my desired car and test driving in no time and I was out the door driving my new used car purchase around the Chicago area- yahoo!I am very satisfied with my service and the price of my vehicle. I highly recommend this place for new or used car buying.Angie Berg is the best- ask for her, and tell her Pam sent you.
We were helped by Dorry, and she was very considerate of our needs, and was efficient with our time. In half the time it took to buy our last car, she had us in a new vehicle.
Adam has mostly been my go-to person since my first oil change at this dealership years ago. Im always satisfied with attention, service, and professionalism by him and dealership. Great experience!
John was very patient with me through the whole experience as a first time car buyer and went above and beyond to make the process easy, smooth and exciting! The team at the DT location is extremely friendly, accommodating and attentive, even if they were busy. Overall, a great experience and I highly recommend anyone go in and ask for John and/or Matt! I love my new 2022 Taos!! Thanks again :)
I’ve purchased 4 Volkswagon 3 from a dealer out south which I will never recommend or buy from again. I was down town and stopped in everyone was amazing especially my sales person he made sure I was really satisfied he was laid back and new to sales but knew what What he was doing if he didn’t know he made it his business to find out I really felt good making a purchase. Excellent service very friendly dealership I’ll be back and give a good recommendations
Originally stopped in on August 14th to test drive a Taos. Unfortunately we were unable to walk off with one due to recall on the vehicle. However, we were able to test drive that one and really liked the car.The sales agent was successful in neogtiating a sale with us under the impression that by early October we would be able to take delivery of the car.Over the last 2 months we have had a lack of communication from the sales agent, even after leaving multiple messsages, stopping down to find out what was going on. Especially considering that we had put down a deposit.Earlier this week we had been contacted by the GSM that they werent able to get us the color that we had requested and asked if we sould be interested in a different color. We said we would be okay with that, considering we really just wanted our new car. He let me know that he would reach back out on Friday at the lastest. This was on Wednesday. It is now Saturday, we tried calling this morning but the GSM was getting coffee and would be back in touch... and we have yet to hear about what is going on.The level of service that everyone says is amazing has not been there and frankly wont be using them again after this purchase.
An absolute positive experience. Louis, my service rep, was professional and attentive. The service was completed within an acceptable time. And the car was washed.
I cant say enough good things. We rolled up in a old and busted 2011 chevy cruze. The staff was friendly and took care of us. Preston handled us and did a great job. Matt the sales manager also helped out and made sure we were taken care of. Buying a car during covid was daunting because of limited stock, but they helped me get into a car that I am happy with. I would go here again.
This place is top notch! Even on the busiest of days they work so hard to move everyone through quickly. Mike Szafraniec is especially fantastic - a role model for how the customer experience should be! Thank you to VW of Downtown Chicago for all your great service and support.
Terrible! I called ahead and gave them my eta so that they could get everything together for my car purchase, but no, car needed gas and a wash, and paperwork wasnt together. Then finally, after I left I noticed I only had half a tank.....so what were they doing? But all that fails in comparison to the car BREAKING DOWN and not making it home! The check engine light came on and a warning message that said drivetrain malfunction appeared then vehicle stalled and needed to be re-started at every complete stop. At this point Im not too mad because I got the extended warranty. I then reached out to the sales person, via text, who sold me vehicle and told her the situation. That the car broke down, and no response!!! Unacceptable
Chris was an excellent sales person. Be tried his best to get me in a ride and he ended up getting me in an even better one than what I had originally planned on. The hospitality was great and the service was excellent. I’ve tried different dealerships before and it wasn’t as easy as this one. Yeah it was a wait but that’s normal. Sending a shout out to Chris for getting me into my new car!!!
Joanna D. And Neli L. are amazing. They worked diligently to get me the best price possible. I recommend them to everyone. Best! Sales! Team! Ever!
Dorry took care of everything for me and made my purchase easier! Thank you guys.
Great car buying experience. I searched high and low to find the right vehicle for my mom and this dealership made the process seamless. Nick Freeman was such a great sakes rep and accommodated us in every way possible. Matt KutynaAlso made the numbers work for her budget. Thanks again to the whole Volkswagen team.
Wasted 2.5 hours of my time to low ball me when I was selling my car. Constant back and forth with the manager, I asked for my keys back, because I gave them my best and final and I have a life to live. Next day got +40% from carmax. A bunch of inept hyenas.
Spoke to sales person on phone who assured me the car I wanted was available. Salesperson said they would call me if availability changed before I arrived. Drove 3 hours to pick up car & was told when I got there that they sold it the day before. Car still shows on their website as available so they can get you into the dealership to try to get you to buy something. Very poor customer service.
Dropped off my car for service easy process. Mike at the service counter friendly and explained all my options. Picked up car washed and easy process.
Worst experience I have ever had buying a car. Drove in from out of state and they were totally not prepared. Then they didn’t know how to re-title a car in my home state, despite the fact they said they do it dozens of times a month. Then 2 weeks after I purchased the car they have not paid off my trade in, nor sent the new title to the bank. The bank has requested it twice and told me they are not getting a reply. Not getting a reply makes sense because I have called more than 6 times in the last two weeks and received no response from anyone there.Bottom line don’t buy a car from these clowns, If I could give them zero stars I would.
Braden was absolutely awesome! He took the time to ask me a lot of questions so that he could find the right vehicle for me. He understood that I had negative experiences with a previous dealership and made sure this didn’t happen again. He was extremely nice and personable and I felt zero pressure. Every step of the purchase was simply incredible. It was the best car purchasing experience I’ve ever had. Thank you so much.
Chuck from the “parts department” was incredibly professional and nice! He made our visit nice! I recommend this place 100 %.
Very happy with the service I received from start to finish. The communication was always clear and consistent with Miguel. Other dealers do not offer such personalized, timely and honest service. The courtesy pick up and drop off service makes taking car of the car much easier and safer during the pandemic—it’s greatly appreciated.
Service was wonderful they took their time and fixed what was wrong with my car I will definitely be back when I’m ready to trade
I like going to the car dealership as much as I like going to the dentist. I will avoid it as long as I have to. Preferably forever. I absolutely had to come in to purchase a car. And that’s where I met Chris Smith. This is where my love for Volkswagen began. Unlike most car salesmen, Chris has the most amount of patience than anyone I’ve met in this industry. He’s so kind, caring, in-tuned with what I was looking for, understanding and helpful. You can tell he just wants a car to fit. I never once felt pushed. I bought my car a few weeks later and had to come back to the same person because of how much I felt I trusted Chris. I was right. I’m such a happy gal driving home with my VW Taos. I loved my experience and I wish for every new car buyer to have such a smooth, happy experience making their big purchase. Thank you again Chris. And their finance man, Neal and GM Matt Kutyna. I couldn’t be more grateful 🥰🥰
DONT BUY FROM HERE THEY WILL SELL YOU A LEMON. I bought a 2016 Honda fit with 53k miles on it 2 months ago. After a month, the check engine light came on. I took it to service who could not figure out the problem so they just cleaned it and sent me on my way DESPITE the fact that I told them I needed it to take me all the way to the west coast. Now I am in Utah, needing to get to Portland - check engine light is back and I am very unhappy. Do not ever buy from this place they are not honest at all.
Very crowded when I got there 10 am, on time for my appointment was asked if I was dropping off the car, I said no. Miguel gave me the impression that it would be a very long wait. I had to negotiate a reasonable price (I had a digital coupon) . I was ready to leave. I have a 2019 atlas I have paid for oil changes before this was no special price. Miguel finally agreed to do it in less than 2 hours. No tv in waiting room except kids room. They finished a little early. So thats something. I drove 18 miles thru the city, to get here, and theres a dealership less than 2 miles from my house, but Im still looking for a GOOD dealership.
Braden on the sales team was dedicated to our search and partnered with us to find the right vehicle and financing.
After waiting a bit for a representative to work with us we ended up having a wonderful interaction with Joanna Davila who took us through the entire process from trade in to purchase. She was great from start to finish and made us feel welcome and like family. Her knowledge of the makes and models offered by VW was amazing and she was able to hone in on exactly what we wanted and made great suggestions. Through this process we also encountered GM Michael Zafiriou and Sales Manager Matt Kutyna who also echoed Joannas sense of welcome. They were able to troubleshoot supply issues and ensure we got a great vehicle at the best price. We are truly grateful for the service we received and will be back for vehicle maintenance and when its time for a new vehicle in the future.
Kenny Akapan is incredible!! He helped us find the best price, best deal for the car of our dreams and we couldn’t be happier. He was so kind and patient with us- willing to break everything down for us. Being first time car buyers, we were initially scared it was going to be the classic car salesman experience but it wasn’t like that at all. His manager Matt is wonderful as well! If I could give 100 stars I would!!!!
I turned in my lease at this location. Super friendly staff, easy and quick process. Mike was very helpful throughout the process. I wish all dealerships could be so easy to work with!
I came in with a transmission problem. It was quickly identified and fixed the next day.
Great experience, was able to leave with the vehicle i wanted.
Another shady car dealership. I dropped off my car because the headlight was out. They replaced it and that went fine, however when I picked up the car the horn did not work. I noticed when I got home and parked it, the horn didn’t sound when I pressed the park button. I got back in the car and hit the horn and nothing. Before I dropped the car off the horn worked 100% of the time. When I picked it up it worked 0% of the time. Not at all. I called and they told me to bring it back, they’d look into it. Eventually they called me back and told me that they don’t know how the horn broke during the 24 hrs I left the car in the shop, but they are definitely sure it wasn’t their fault. They “ran diagnostics” that said it wasn’t a workmanship issue, and if I want to fix it it will be $420. When I complained they said they could offer me a discount of $360.
I recently purchased a 2021 Volkswagen Atlas and worked with Matt and John. My experience was very positive and both Matt and John were extremely helpful throughout the entire buying process. Car buying can be overwhelming and stressful but my experience was easy and enjoyable. I absolutely love my new car and highly recommend purchasing your next car from VW of Downtown Chicago!
I scheduled an oil change and they offer pick up and delivery service. The day of the appointment (today) no one showed up at the scheduled time. I called twice for a status update on when someone would be coming to pick up my car. 4 hours later still haven’t received a call back so I cancelled the appointment. I’ll be taking my car to a different VW dealer. Not a good first impression.
Knowledgeable sales staff - John is a stud. Management willing to negotiate on pricing. Fantastic experience overall.
Today marks the second time I’ve taken my car in for service and I’m having to question whether or not the work was actually done. The first time, not 10 minutes after I left the service center my car stopped on the side of the interstate. Today, my inspection report has an ‘all clear’ on at least 2 things I know for a fact have issues. I’m now not sure if the work I brought my car in for was actually done. I am NOT a satisfied customer today. I’m giving 2 stars because the people were nice. I am not, however, satisfied with the service.
I took my car to VW of downtown Chicago after another shop couldnt fix my issues. Scheduling was easy over the phone and the team was great once they had my car. Mike was very detailed in helping me to resolve my issues and clearly explained the resolutions and answered all my questions. They even washed my car! Wont be going anywhere else except VW downtown from now on.
Great place. We went in and bough a car on the same day! They connected us to a great towing service that transported our car from our mechanic to the dealer.
Was able to easily get in for a test drive, figure out the car I wanted and purchase it. Everyone was super helpful and friendly and made it an easy process.
Had brake problems on trip to Chicago. VW of Downtown Chicago staff, Luis in particular, were very helpful and fixed problem quickly!
My husband and I went to the Volkswagen of Downtown Chicago to purchase a new vehicle and trade our 2015 Jetta. Joanna was the sales person available and I am so glad it was her. She went up and beyond to make sure my husband and I were happy with our new purchase and she stayed with us until 10:30 P.M to make sure we had everything we needed. She also advocated for some of the small details we wanted and we were very happy with our purchase. We encountered some issues with refunds from the previous vehicle we purchased in a different location and Joanna called and checked-in on multiple occasions to assure we were able to figure out and did not need any further assistance. I highly recommend this location and dont forget to ask for Joanna, she is THE BEST!
I have been a customer for many years and am very satisfied with the quality of the work and fair prices.I always ask for Adam Khamsot who always provides friendly, courteous and knowledgeable service.
My car was fixed and I was given a reasonable discount for my trouble, but they had my car for a week with very little communication and numerous delays. I had to reach out in order to get updates and that was frustrating.
Excellent dealership, very easy to work with and got me exactly what I wanted without a lot of fuss. Sales staff is refreshingly not like a stereotypical dealership sales, not pushy or aggressive. I was in conversations with other dealerships as well and couldve easily gotten the car I wanted from any of them, I chose VW of Downtown Chicago because of their sales staff.
BRADEN WAS VERY HELPFUL AND UNDERSTANDING to my situation.. helped me up grade my car by 8 years ... went from a 2014 to a 2021! PLZ STOP BY Great location overall!
I take back my previous rating. The entire team worked together efficiently to make my car purchasing experience as stress free as possible.
Miguel impressed me from the first phone call. When we met in person he was organized and professional, and he worked with me on a package price for nearly a dozen overdue maintenance items for my 2012 Passat, including brakes, fuel injection, software updates, and pretty much all fluids and filters.
They made my experience of buying my first new car a breeze! Will definitely go back and refer my friends in the future!
We went in for a routine oil change thinking it was covered from our auto purchase. We ended up having a discrepancy in the files and computer however our tech, Miguel, handled everything in the best way. He thoroughly explained all of the details and options and involved the right parties to create a positive outcome. He was patient and followed up several times promptly. We highly recommend Volkswagen of Chicago Downtown for all your auto needs. We have been going for years and the work and service is excellent.
Great experience. Kenny was a wonderful salesperson, from the very beginning he answered all my questions, and walked me through every step of car ownership. I really appreciated his candor and how comfortable he made the buying experience. Awesome job!!! Im now the proud owner of my very first Volkswagen.
Friendly and helpful staff in both the sales and service departments.
Michael Szafraniec of Volkswagen Downtown Chicago is a diamond in a large City! He stays late for his customers, he comforts them, and reassured them that service is great, no worries ! It makes for a truly amazing experience since the stresses of car trouble can be a little overwhelming! He and the service team get a five star from this customer ! I would not take my car anyplace else!
While I appreciate the services I received, I did not appreciate that several staff members & customers were not wearing masks appropriately. I asked a customer to please put his mask up to which he replied “I know them here and I don’t have to”. After the day I had at work in a hospital, I decided to leave the building and wait outside. I did not feel like it would have been resolved if I had approached a staff member as many of the staff pulled their masks down throughout the time I spent inside. There is not an adequate waiting space inside. I’m lucky it was a nice enough day to wait outside. I do not see myself returning during COVID for these reasons.
The drop off was quick and easy. The service was done in 2 hours. Friendly, efficient staff
The people at the dealership are great and communicate every step of the way. The person who helped me, Adam, was an absolutely top notch professional. Thank you!
Angie was a professional and knowledgeable sales woman. Definitely contact her when you need a car!
5 days after purchasing a used vehicle, the battery was DEAD. It needed replacing so I handled it at a local auto parts store. Before I went to the store I reached out to my salesperson from DTVW to let them know the battery was faulty and needed replacing and was told that maybe they could do something to help me. Its been 6 weeks and Ive had to reach out too many times, been passed around from one person to another, and told to wait and see. At no point have I felt like a valued customer. The feeling I get is that IF they could reimburse me for the new battery ($190), it would come down to an accounting fumble (extra cash laying around at the end of March) and I should be grateful for their generosity. I dont expect any $$$, I dont expect a follow-up or follow-through, and unfortunately, I dont respect whatever inspection they put their pre-owned vehicles through.
I brought my VW Atlas in for its first maintenance check and couldn’t have been happier. Mike did a great job explaining all the checks performed on the vehicle and worked with my schedule to make sure it was done in a timely manner. I will definitely be back!
Hands down the best car buying experience I’ve ever had! Bill went out of his way to help us find a car we love and one that fits our needs perfectly. Bill was enthusiastic, but not pushy. He was knowledgeable and interested in sharing all the details, bells and whistles, plus he went out of his way to find us our dream car color, both inside and out. Bill was beyond patient when we wanted to test drive a wide assortment of cars in the garage. If you stop in to buy a car, ask for Bill, he’s the best!
Go elsewhere to buy your VW. We got an atlas from here 3 weeks ago. We only had had one key and there was a crack in the windshield.Braden, the salesman, told us we would get a second key and the windshield fixed within a week no problem. Weve followed up with him a total of 6 times and we have not received a response. It’s now been 3 weeks and no one has contacted us back. Totally miserable dealership. Once they make the sale they dont care.Initially I told him we wouldnt drive off the lot or purchase the car without a second key and the windshield fixed. He laughed in my face and told me its no problem. he promised he would fix the issues and that we could trust him because he used to work at a church (?whatever that means).Anyway. Avoid this dealership and avoid Braden. Completely disappointed with the outcome and with our car.
Mike in the service department gets high marks for his great communication. Wed have 5 -stars if they had done a bit more legwork in diagnosing my issue so I could get my car back in a day.
I’m totally in love with my new Atlas sport! John and Matt went above and beyond to meet my needs and make sure that I’m happy! I left with a new car and a huge smile! Thanks guys!
