I had a check engine light that had to be fixed through a Carmax auto place and that led me to LBR. I was a little annoyed that it was quiet far from where I lived, but the service has been wonderful! They even caught issues I hadn’t specifically come in for. Harry was always delightful and easy to get a hold of.

*Update: To clarify on the owners reply below that I cannot reply to for some reason- I WAS refunded for the incorrect charges, but I WAS NOT refunded for the incorrect diagnosis I was given.I came in here because I had a bad ignition coil. Harry is a pretty nice guy but he did pressure me to replace all of the coils and spark plugs, which wasnt really necessary. I was hoping that the bad coil would be one that was accessible, so that I could replace it myself (I like to do that when I can, and this would have been an easy job). Diagnosis came back and they told me that the bad coil was inaccessible underneath the intake manifold, so they would have to charge extra to move that. They did the repair and I got the car home. A little while later I popped the hood to check fluids and noticed that the replaced coil was not underneath the manifold (and it also was a non-OEM part). I checked the invoice and they had indicated there which number cylinder they had replaced the coil on. I went online and found the cylinder diagram for my car, and sure enough, they did replace the correct coil but it was not underneath the manifold. I went back to the shop, and they did refund me for the cost of the manifold R&I. So now at least the car works and I got what I paid for, but the fact remains that I paid about 400 for work that was done under false pretenses. Had they given me an honest diagnosis I would have done the repair myself for much cheaper. Under these circumstances I would have expected to at least receive a complete refund of the diagnostic fee. The diagnosis is fundamental and something I expect to be correct. For me I cannot look past the misinformation that was given. I was a consumer in a difficult position because I needed the car to work, and I have to feel that I may have been taken advantage of here. For this reason I cannot recommend this shop and will not be returning as a customer in the future.

My 14 year old Mercedes air conditioner stopped working and I decided to use LBR for the first time rather than going to the dealership. Harry was terrific walking me through the entire process of what needed to be done and what might need to be done if that did not work. It was like paint by the numbers, first do this and then do this next, if needed, which it fortunately was not. I will become a regular customer for my regular services.

They replaced the clutch and shifting linkage on my Saab 9-5 and my great car has been restored to original condition. They are a solid, honest, competent and straight forward repair shop. I highly recommend them!

I have taken my car to LBR Auto many times. They did a transmission flush on my Lexus and it was much cheaper than any other shop in the area. I also, had my alternator replaced by this shop. They are very professional and do great work would highly recommend!

Dont go to LBR auto repair. They either are not skill enough to just fix what your car need or they try to rip you off. In either case, you dont want to take your car to this shop.My 2012 Toyota air condition was not working a couple weeks ago, and took it this shop. They told me the compressor was not working and replace it cost over 2100$. I cant believe it. So I denied having them do the work, and was charge 165$ for the diagnose. I took the car to another mechanic and told me the compressor is fine, just need to change a sensor. Finally cost me 350$ total and now I have air condition.

If you want an incomplete job done, non authentic parts installed and be lied to, this is the place for you. Plus they dont back their work. The window control head I had replaced was an aftermarket part, not via Mercedes. It malfunctioned immediately. I was offered an oil change, after being blown off for a week being told they ordered it from Mercedes. Not only did I pay the money for a Mercedes switch, I have it at the dealership to have it done twice. Paying twice for the same problem is a big no. The dealership even sent me a photo of the switch to verify it was not from Mercedes. Liars and thieves. Stay away. I attached the garbage they ordered from Amazon as proof.

Great place to get your car checked. I took a used car to these guys for a pre purchase inspection and they did such a thorough job with a detailed report of all the problems. Saved me a few thousand dollars by suggesting me to not buy the car.

I went to LBR Auto last week to get my serpentine belt replace due to worn out and its been squeaking. Once I arrived, I also requested the mechanic to check on the positive side of the battery terminal since it did not flushed when I installed it last time.The service was done 1 hour earlier than the estimated time and the shop didnt charge me for the battery terminal service.Customer Service Harry George was very courteous and informative about the service that they do. I had an exhaust system installed on my car here and the staff were very professional and did a great job.

I dont usually write reviews. I am doing this because I want inform everybody my experience regarding a car air conditioner repair if they decide to go through LBR. The repair cost was $784 total. The problem was the condenser. Its been 2 weeks now and it is still working. One thing I want to share is when the repair was done. The next day I opened the hood and checked the work that has been done. Two of the caps that on the hose where the freon is added was missing. I had to go LBR and get the missing caps the next day. Please open your hood and see if anything is missing/damage would be my advice.

They kept me updated with everything as they went through their diagnosis. Helpful and customer oriented.

I did a pre-inspection at LBR auto repair for a ford pickup truck and they were very thorough and detailed and listed every issue that could be problematic. Just before reaching to LBR i had the same inspection at a well known FORD service center at bellevue and all i can say is comparatively, LBR auto repair is worth every penny and time. I bought my car at Definitive Motors, and part of that was a free oil change next time it was required. Easy to schedule the service, waited for it to be done, and they finished within 1 hour. Individuals there are friendly and knowledgeable as they answered some other questions related to the car.On another note, when I bought the car, the front cigarette lighter/charger was not operational. Definitive Motors called over to LBR and the next day I took the car in and they replaced the fuse in about 15-20 minutes.

This shop provides top notch, knowledgeable services. They have twice saved me large amounts of money by fixing rather than replacing major systems.They are honest and I completely trust them. I travel close to 70 miles to take my vehicle to them. (Dodge diesel-they’re not just high end east side cars 🙂)

I have not had a good morning, car was being very uncooperative but after googling local car repair and finding Harry I am well on my way to having a car that starts! LBR was really friendly and cordial and managed to get my car here SAME-DAY! He was very upfront about potential costs and, during these dangerous times, appropriate cleanliness was displayed with hand sanitizer and gloves etc. He was also very patient with my many questions and calls.

I turned to the LBR service when I heard the grinding noise. I just didnt want to go to Ford dealership because I had a terrible experience of them not finding a root cause of issue, making a lame excuse and even questuoning me that there is no issue. On the contrary, LBR has best mechanics. They were able to find the issue of vacuum check valve this time and fixed it. I test drove with one of mechanic, Colin and found that LBR is the shop with the full of master mechanics. No wonder they are good at finding/fixing problems. Harry will keep you posted about the progress and keep you assured.

Needed a routine checkup in Bellevue area for my Mazda3. This place only a 10 min walk from my house :) when they called me back they had nicely cleaned my car as well :)Great prices and the best show of their amazing service is they missed a broken light on my passenger side back parking light.When I brought the car back They fixed it complimentary since they missed it in the first appointment!There is also a free shuttle to wherever you want to go and the driver is so nice! Keep note you must find a ride back to the LBR shop so keep that in mind!I would bring my car here again!

Quick, easy and very professional.

My car was due for a timing belt change. I sent LBR an inquiry for a quote and got a response back early morning the next business day. After few email exchanges, I was setup for an appointment for the same week (not a week or two later like other shops). As part of the quote, I wanted to change my power steering pump, but I asked them to verify that my power steering pump was indeed the issue why my steering was so difficult in low speed. They verified it and changed the power steering pump. Now the car drive so much better. Overall, we are super pleased with their service and reasonable price.

They are honest and do good work, reasonable charges. They change my oil also. Their service is above average!!

I was very satisfied with their service, first time customer referred from my neighbor. I had an issue when I had my oil changed at Jiffy Lube they forgot to put back on the oil filter cap and I drove the car for a few days as soon I noticed under the hood oil was spilled all over the motor inside the engine it was a huge mess and the smell coming in the AC while driving wasn’t the best to start. So I went ahead to LBR to get the steam cleaning done it was an amazing experience and cheers to Harry and the crew for the tremendous work and effort for cleaning up my engine real impressive work for my first time coming I will definitely come back in the future for another visit. LBR Auto Repair is convenient, comprehensive, and caring. They truly listen to the customer and provide the work needed to get the job done right the first time. My car had a squeal noise that I couldnt locate. The mechanic ran a check by machine and the trouble was located and fixed. Free rides are provided to the mall while you wait if it is going to be a while for the car to cool down or other cars preceded you. The customer is treated with respect and consideration. Costs are reasonable and fair. My car had even been washed. I met several other customers who have been coming to LBR for years and who are also happy and satisfied with the work done.

It was my first time bringing my car back to LBR since I purchased a used car inspection from LBR several months ago. The service LBR provides is clear, honest, and straightforward. You are given clear recommendations and steered away from services you do not need. Convenient location and friendly. That said, LBR is an expensive mechanic so you might need to look elsewhere if you want to keep your maintenance costs down.

Ive been bringing my car to LBR whenever it needs work for the past 4 years. They always do a great job, I have never encountered any problems with their work. The staff are very helpful and friendly, they always call to explain what work needs to be done, and how it affects the car. I always feel like I am making an informed purchase when I choose to have them fix something in the car.

Great service at a reasonable price. I had LBR replace my engine on my 2005 dodge grand caravan. 1 week and it was running like new. The dip stick broke during an oil change at grease monkey, and even though they didnt break it they fixed it at no cost. I only had to pay for the part. Amazing customer service, and if you shop around you will see that they are very competitively priced I would recommend them to anyone who wants to find a long term partner for their car care needs.

Its hard to get excited about a car repair company but LBR deserves a lot of praise. I had as older sports car inspected and brought up to snuff and was so satisfied I brought a one year old Hundai in for service rather than the dealership. Front line man Harry is very smart and personable. He explained and really worked with me. Highly recommend!

I have taken my car here 2-3 times since moving to the area, and every time Ive been very well cared for. The staff explains things in detail, theyre honest, they very apparently love what they do and are very well cared for themselves as a staff. It shows. Even the first time I contacted them, I spoke with Harry a few times about a part and whether or not it was covered under my warranty. Even though I ended up opting to fix the part myself, I was blown away by the sincerity and patience of LBR staff, and because of it, Ive gone back 2-3 times for other repairs. Way to be, guys. Highly recommend! I took my 2004 Mercedes in to get an air filter and serpentine belt replacement. I mentioned that the dealer recommended I get it changed after my last checkup. Harry was awesome, and said they would take a look at it before replacing, and he threw in a free inspection! They ended up not replacing the serpentine belt and while they did recommend other services, the prices were much much less than what the dealership quoted. They have a digital inspection report so you can see pics or get more detailed info. Very fair and honest. Thanks Harry (and the mechanics)!

I have been a long time customer of LBR automotive repair shop. It is not easy to find a good auto repair shop with honest ownership, great service and good/straight-up advise that has customer’s best interest at heart. Time and time again, LBR has helped me with repairs on Japanese, German and American car models and every time quality and value has been outstanding. I know a lot of people look for the cheapest repair place, but in most cases you really get what you pay for and in the long term a trusted auto shop with good mechanics and honest management will provide you with a much better value for your dollar. Honest, well run shop. I have too many used cars and they are my go to for all mechanical issues. Recently the transmission failed on one of my work vans and they had me running with a new transmission in 2 days! They understood it was a priority and cranked through it. Thanks guys.

LBR sells itself in part as a friendly and fair place where people go after being ripped off by predatory dealers. And you feel none of the promise from the minute you walk in: the same aggressive sales tactics and none of the flexibly in options youd expect from a well reviewed local shop.Its one thing if someone shows up in a Land Rover and gets billed $400 for a minor job. But its a completely different thing when its a cheap older car and I just wanted to find out what my options are and possibly be a bit creative about potential fixes. Right off the bat they told me that right there they needed to do $2000 worth of work and after politely declining it still ended up being $400 for something I cant even quantify and felt like a rip off.Well, lesson learned. Ask questions in advance and be extra skeptical about services and fixes they recommend.

My car had transmission problem, took it to autonation ford Bellevue, was told transmission problem and you are expected to pay $3500+ without even looking at the car, took my car to Ford of Kirkland, they actually called me saying you have warranty and we gonna take care of it, its really unfortunate to hear from them, Oh your warranty expired, you wanna buy warranty of want to pay $4k plus. Seriously without checking the car.I searched online and found this place, with good customer feedback. Then I drop my car, did diagnostic, found multiple problem and got estimate around 2k which is half of autonation and Ford of Kirkland.But I requested Harry to work on major issue of car as I had no money to fix car. And its my spare car.Its good now and didnt spend money that i am driving when I need to.Thanks lbr for the great service, straightforward and being soo honest.Thanks again.

The front office is very friendly. They try to tell you at a high level what is going on with your vehicle. After getting mine back, more problems occurred that I believe they may have accidentally caused. Good people skills but the repairs were poor to say the least.

Harry always takes care of us with good recommendations, but never more than we need.

Bought a pickup from a dealer up in Lynnwood and the next morning I started the truck and the engine was making loud noises. In a panic I called LBR to find out what was wrong with the car before I lost $10,000. As it turns out, the engine was shot. The dealer warmed the truck up before I got there so the valves would quiet down. It was a $3000 repair. I took the truck back and exchanged it for another one that checked out perfectly. I recently bought a wrx from a friend. It was having a bit of performance issues. As an aircraft mechanic, im faily skilled in the automotive field. Only once before had i taken any car to a mechanic. I just research online, buy new parts, install them, and hope it runs better. After that failed, i started adjusting things. I just made it worse. I broke down and gave these guys a shot. I was expecting a few days worth of work and an arm and a leg. Not only did they fix the issue within hours, they only charged me about half of what they should have. The mechanic explained what the issue was (i would never have figured it out on my own) and thrown in some extra parts for when i tune it. They are truly masters of their craft. Thanks guys!

I found LBR when I was having a lot of trouble with my van. I asked the tow truck driver who he recommended and he said, LBR. Since then, I have trusted LBR with my van and also my sons Mazda-3. They are professional, communicate well and fix whats broken and nothing more.
