I have an AE86 that needed a LOT of work, I had the engine swapped out at a different shop and nothing was working. When I brought my Corolla in to see if they could help me out I was expecting to them to just get it back on the road but not only did they get it running for the first time but they did a whole bumper to bumper inspection. They found things that I planned on eventually addressing but then also found things I had completely missed. Everything was broken down and even walked through the best options for what to address first. Everyone knows their stuff and I mean EVERYONE, there hasnt been a time when I had a question about something and whether it was in person or in an email that it wasnt answered. I know that this was a long read (and believe me this was the short version) but there are just so many good things to say about them. And to say that Ishii Motors is fantastic would be an understatement! I will always bring any of my vehicles to them as long as they will have me.

Summary:Steve replaced the A/C compressor of my Honda Civic and forgot to put a cable back on the alternator. The day after, when I drove back from a grocery store in downtown Bellevue, the battery started running out and then my car completely stopped right in the middle of a street. I called the shop immediately and reached Steve. He didn’t want to come at first but eventually did because I was close enough to his home. Steve fixed it, acknowledged his fault (that’s how I came to know about the issue). He promised a discount but I never heard back from him or the shop.While I was thankful that my daughter and I were still safe (imagine the situation if we drove on I-405 to Costco Kirkland that evening), I was also frustrated about their services. With the amount of money I paid, it is the worst experience I’ve had with an auto shop.I know there are lots of good reviews here, but my review would be helpful for others.Full story:2 months ago (Feb, 2021), I noticed some burning smells under the hood on my Honda Civic, so I brought this shop for repair. They did an inspection and found out the problem in the A/C compressor bearings and recommended replacing the drive belt and A/C compressor. They charged me $1807 for the inspection, replacements plus an oil change.The thing is my car didn’t run properly the next day. When picking up the car and seeing the battery light on and off intermittently, I was relieved because they just fixed and tested my car. But, as I mentioned above, it stopped while running on road because of a mistake by the mechanic.It has been 2 months, and I would’ve let it go if it wasn’t that I came to know they seemed to have overcharged me by a lot. During that repair, they recommended 2 additional services: changing powering steering fluids for $207 and brake fluids for 125$ (see the attached photo). I had both services done for $190 at a different shop this week.

This is one of the best shops in the general puget sound area. I’ve been to lots of shops and have had many different experiences. Some were good, even more were mediocre. I drive all the way up from the Federal Way/Auburn area to get my vehicles serviced here. They have not only taken great care of my 2016 Lexus RCF, but they have also done a great job on my 2017 ATS-V. These guys are honest mechanics; who are willing to work with the customer, and only work on the things you want. Communication is great there and rates are also very fair.

Ishii Motor has worked on my 2018 Subaru BRZ many times. They are knowledgable about the 86 platform and provide great service. They will install aftermarket mods as well as do normal maintenance. They seem to have a strong JDM experience and work on many unique and specialty JDM cars.

Hello, I highly recommend this shop because of Kims stellar customer service. She did such an excellent job that she stands out above the crowd. I took my vehicle to two different repair shops prior to arriving here. Although they were highly rated and can stand on their own, they didnt produce the concrete solutions that I needed.Kim made my feelings felt and her deep listening skill is commendable. They just did some work on our 95 Landcruiser and I was so impressed. Everyone in the place are certified master technicians, title isn’t everything, but it’s good to know. I really felt like these guys are honest and will take good care of our vehicles. They came highly recommended and I believe they delivered. They knew my car well and it showed. Reasonable prices and good service for older Japanese cars in Bellevue

I am a certified car nut with a passion for small import cars. I have two categories for getting work done on my cars: necessary and for fun. I trust Ishii Motors with both of those categories. I have been dealing with Steve and Cam ever since they opened and have brought them several for fun projects and have always been pleased with the attention to detail and innovative thinking that comes from the shop. Brake upgrades, forced induction, custom fab, suspension work, installation, wiring; I have brought it all to them. Kim does an excellent job of managing clients and ensuring work stays on schedule on budget. Along the way, I have also brought them all of my necessary work. I trust them enough to keep my daily drivers in tip top shape and, by extension, keep me and my family safe and sound on the road. It brings me piece of mind when I know I can trust a shop with my most treasured things in life, my family. These guys are honest and deal with customers with a high degree of integrity, all while being competitively priced. What more could you ask for.

I was referred to Ishii Motor Industries by multiple members of my Facebook Group, so I decided to give them a shot. The work that I wanted was a simple enough task, essentially just basic bolt-ons more importantly though, I wanted to find a auto shop that held the quality of their work to a higher standard... and that’s exactly what Ishii Motor Industries gave me. I live in Lynnwood and there are plenty of auto shops to choose from in my area, however I’ll always be willing to drive a little further to Ishii in Bellevue because I know that they will give you quality work while also treating your car like it’s their own.

Been bringing my Mazda here for the past couple years and they’ve always done great work. It’s a smaller shop tucked away behind Budget so it can be easy to miss but they’re fast, efficient, and reasonably cost effective.

Very friendly and knowledgeable

If you own a Japanese/German car and want something done right, they are the folks to do it. My cars have never ran better, and they are meticulous about their work. I had consistent brake issues from other shops and Ishii figured out some parts were out of spec, and remedied the issue. They dont just slap on parts, they make sure the job is right.

Mechanics with honesty and integrity that genuinely enjoy cars. More ASE certifications than youll find at most shops since these guys love cars and take great pride in their work. They are like the Samurai of mechanics, every job they take no matter how big or small is done with the pursuit of Absolute Excellence and Perfection, even if all you need is a new light bulb. I have a 1989 Nissan Fairlady Z TT and regularly bring my car in for service. Sherman, Steve, Kim and the rest of the team are all amazing people to work with- very professional and knowledgeable and genuine car enthusiasts that share your passion. Theyve helped me out on numerous occasions from a no start issue, suspension work, regular maintenance, and a big brake upgrade. Highly recommend.

2 weeks and $827.53 for an oil change, car inspection and partial diagnoses of the main issue for bringing in. The icing-- a quote to actually fix aforementioned main issue to the tune of an f355 engine out service, but is on no ferrari but a 27 year old nissan.I have been trying to justify the $827.53 oil change price because it would be nice to feel as if every business isnt trying to bilk everyone (or just me?) and the best I can do is tell myself that the money went toward car storage and paying for someone to look and drive my car. It would be cheaper for me to put some $20s under the wiper blades and park the car on the street for anyone walking by to help themselves.The quote for $24.00 to tighten a single bolt on a strut brace was a nice touch, left me with a previously never experienced feeling of who knows what after torquing this myself and the 30 seconds it took-- seriously this couldnt have been performed within the $827.53 service?I guess Im just a sucker and/or the poorest person in king county and that price only stands out to me.

Great little shop with excellent customer service. After reading the reviews, I had Ishii Motor Industries perform the install of my MBRP Catback Dual Exhaust for my 2016 Tacoma. Their work was outstanding and I plan on bringing in my truck for other routine maintenance in the future.

I am a very anal engineer that enjoys working on my car, and I am so glad Ive found a shop that i can trust whenever i cannot find the problem, or physically able to perform the job. everyone at Ishii are very knowledgeable and friendly, they may not be the cheapest, but definitely the best bang for your buck when it comes to car related works.

Straightforward and honest, even when presented some challenging fixes

My mom was having problems with excessive noise coming from her 2006 Toyota Matrix. I recommended she take it to Ishii Motor Industries, since Steve is a Toyota master technician and has been working on them for somewhere around 20 years or more. He is very friendly, and goes out of his way to make sure the customer is happy. My mom got a very fair price for replacing her motor mounts, which had gone bad. Her exhaust had also been bent, which was causing problems. Originally, she dropped it off Thursday, and was told it would be done by Monday morning. We were able to pick it up early on Saturday, and now the car is incredibly quiet and smooth.My 1988 Toyota pickup had been running rough, so I asked Steve what to do. He told me an old trick that allowed me to clear all the gunk out of the carburetor, and now my truck runs much more smoothly. He is very knowledgeable, and is very flexible when it comes to the customers schedule.This shop is also the go-to place for people with high performance Japanese vehicles. There are always MR2s, Supras, Skylines, Evos, AE86s, and more parked around the shop. A lot of well known local enthusiasts trust Steve for working on their performance vehicles.My mom said the previous shop that she went to no longer has her business. She will be going to Ishii Motor Industries from now on for any work done on her vehicle. My mom and I trust Steve and his coworkers with our cars and we plan to be back whenever something goes wrong with our vehicles.

I have been taking my car to several different shops for oil changes during the past few years. I tried this place last week and left with a very good impression.Lots of these shops are usually in a hurry to get the job done, causing them to forget to turn off the maintenance light, but ISHII did not forget.The low air pressure light in my car has been on for over a year. It even stayed on after I had a new set of tires put in. All the shops I have been to, nobody has bothered to figure out why the low air pressure light was still on, and I was frustrated for a long time until ISHII.The gentleman at ISHII explained why the low air pressure light was still on and fixed it for me with no extra charge. He even vacuumed my car.Reasonable price and great customer service! I think I can finally stop searching and have a shop to go back to whenever my car needs service.
