Ever had a croissant? Most people probably have, even if it was a fast food breakfast sandwich or from a supermarket bakery. Ever had a good croissant? A lot of people havent, even if they dont realize it, but you can find them, here and there. Ever had an AMAZING croissant? Want to ? Go here. Pastry, sandwiches, coffee, if youre looking for these things, you cant go wrong with Pauls.

Very aesthetically pleasing cafe in downtown DC. You can’t dine inside but there are a few seats available outside their business or you could sit at the nearby park! I ordered a plain croissant and a cold brew coffee. Loved how flaky the croissant was! As for coffee, I tend to drink mine black with almond milk but this was by far the saltiest(?) coffee I’ve ever had—reminded me of soy sauce; not sure if that’s the way they make it but I would give it another chance if I put more stuff in it. I’d definitely go back for the pastries and food but not so much for the coffee

Terrible customer service (except for two great and friendly baristas and cashiers). The WiFi does not work. Also, if you would like to hear a grumpy person who keeps dissing and cursing next to you, this is the perfect place for you, then the staff make you feel guilty for telling them to deal with that “customer” so the other customer (yo sin duda who can understand and Spanish fluently with a Madrid accent) can enjoy his/her time while being there.

Sooo delicious 😋 my only gripe was that I picked my 10 for $10 according to the signs and even asked to make sure I was picking from the right assortment, but I was charged for each of the items separately and told at checkout that 3 of the items I chose were not included in the 10 for $10, even though the sign below them said otherwise. Pretty annoying.

Dissapointment at PAUL Franklin Square. The place looks beautiful and clean. The food is so delicious. 👍However, the service is far from a 5-stars experience. The first time here (yesterday) was similar to todays experience. I thought I should give it a second chance but ended more disappointed than the first one.We ordered some ham&cheese croissant, plain croissant, omelets, & fresh squeeze orange juice. The omelet comes with a tiny 2.25 oz of Heinz Ketchup (which is adorable) but can you believe they charge extra for jam for your croissants? The orange juice was $5.49 (+tax)! It was so good but I think it was somewhat overpriced. I asked if i could get a small cup of fruits for the salad that the omelet comes with. Guess what? 🤷‍♂️ They also charge for that. Any modification or substitution has an extra charge. The entire order was a bit over $50 and they still wanted to charge for one side of jam for my plain croissants. 🙁🙄

The place has low lighting, bistro atmosphere, bar chairs and tables, sofa and cushiony chairs, and wooden floors.Upon walking in you are greeted with an array of pastries and smiling faced employees. A breakfast and everything else menu is hung on the walls. When I was here there was a short line of 4 people.I ordered the smoked salmon salad and a glass is water (right out the tap), never offered a choice of dressings or even extra napkins as other people within the same line who ordered drinks or was told where to obtain a straw. I was presented with a table number, a tray and 1 silverware.Waiting for my food to come, the ambient noise of music filled the room as I found a place to sit.Food arrives shortly after. The plate was will presented as if The chefs really care about presentation. The bread was hard as stale bread thats been baked art 6 am and left out in open air. The salmon was flavorful and the tomatoes actually tasted as if it was garden grown with plenty of sunlight.Since I had tap water, I put a cucumber into it, to balance the pH. I know it is going to take longer than me eating, but it made me feel good. After pointing out the hard bread, they were nice enough to warm up a new piece.I will return one day.

What a huge disappointment! We love Paul and drive over an hour to have lunch here but it is just not the same. The bread was stale and cheesy. The ham was not as good as previously (salmon one was fine). Pastry were find but again did not seem as fresh. Also let me order Orangina and told me they have not had it in months (so why is it still on the menu?). So sad. Not sure worth trying again.

I don’t know what happened to this place... it used to be great! My recent visits were all very bad. I ordered a raisin danish and the person taking my order was licking her fingers, and reached out to my pastry 🤢 I decided to never return there but gave it a last shot today and it was still awful and hygiene is a big concern. I wanted to talk to the manager I think it’s a blond lady with brown eyes, a very nice person that I don’t see there anymore. Please, do something!

The raisin danish is wonderful. I go out of my way to get it. The service is indifferent at best and sometimes openly rude. Horrible, terrible customer service. I live in the neighborhood and I was excited to try this place out, as I heard great reviews about their croissants from coworkers. No greetings, which is fine, because Im not the type who needs to be greeted all the time. Strangely, I noticed they greeted a couple right after me and asked if they were ready to order. But when THREE guys at the counter totally ignores me even though I was in front of their register ready to order???? I even gave eye contacts and they still ignored me. Was it busy? No, it was just me! I walked to one of the guys at the counter and had to ask them if I can order. I wonder why they just ignored me in the first place though. Believe me, I worked in a cafe before and its not that hard to know if a customer is ready to order and if youre not sure, just ask!!!I waited for my Americano for 15 minutes and later found out that they missed my order. Again, the store wasnt busy at all. I was waiting for my coffee until I found out that they were making coffee for people who came after me. No apologies. Coffee tasted mediocre. Ive had better.Crossiant tasted great, but never coming back to this place again.
