Unique Motors went above and beyond to help us with a situation that happened when we took our truck to a garage to have some work done. We called Gilbert at Unique to ask him a question and he was quick to let us know that something was awry. To tell the short version of the story: We were getting scammed for the amount of $2,700. until Gilbert stepped in and fought for us. The garage claimed our truck broke a one of their machines and we owed the charges to have the machine fixed. Crazy, Right? They also said we needed a new compressor for the air conditioner. Gilbert had us take the truck to Unique. The truck did not need a compressor and all that was wrong was a leak in the Freon line. Gilbert would not let us pay for anything even though we tried. All the employees at Unique are friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend doing business there. By the way, if you want to know the name of the well known garage who tried to scam us, Gilbert knows. Go see him and look at the great vehicles on the lot!!

We did some research looking for a new used dually pick up truck before we came here and its hard to find them. Its very unique that not only did Unique Motors of Tampa Bay have one, they had several to choose from. Car buying can be very stressful and we were looking for the perfect one for us and I have to say that Daniel there was not only extremely knowledgeable about vehicles over all, but lead us to our perfect match. It was the second truck we looked at, only because we had come in asking for one we saw on their website. He made us feel very comfortable with our decision to purchase not only by showing us the car fax, but also by going online and showing us any comparable vehicles to what we were looking at online. Honestly, we had been looking already so nothing really came close to the great vehicle and deal we were getting there. But, it was nice that he looked and wanted to make sure we were happy with everything. Sammy in the finance department was friendly and got us the loan we needed. Everyone there was super friendly and the place was very clean. They have an amazing amount of quality vehicles there and we will buy from them again! Carrie and Alex, the owner, of Unique Motors of Tampa have basically sold me a salvaged vehicle. The cost to repair the truck I purchased from them is more than the purchase price. I purchased a 2006 Toyota Tundra V8, 4x4 for $11,500 and had it shipped to Texas just before Christmas 2019- a gift for my boyfriend.It has failed two safety inspections due to extensive corrosion to the frame. The frame actually bent while picking it up on the lift. I have tried all avenues to get the truck to pass the safety inspection, contacting Toyota and two collision repair companies who were reluctant to just patch the corroded areas due to the extensive damage and high liability.I contacted Unique Motors with their only response being that I signed an As is No Warranty agreement. This truck should have never been put on the market other than for parts. The frame is a major component of any vehicle and consumers should trust that auto dealerships are listing vehicles with full disclosure and vehicles that meet basic safety requirements.Carrie was my point of contact through TruCar. I was please with the ease and friendliness in working w/Carrie. I spoke with her extensively over the phone and via email about the truck and she was very confident this Tundra was in great condition, denied any damages other than chipped paint and a minor dent on the hood, stating, this truck is solid, otherwise we wouldnt be selling it.The cost to repair the frame is >$12,000. I bought the truck for $11,500. If I wanted to spend $24,000 on a vehicle, I would have purchased a $24,000 vehicle that I could actually drive legally and SAFELY. I am waiting for Unique Motors of Tampa to make this right. Refunding my money or trading in an equivalent vehicle is a small price to pay versus the amount of business you will lose from my review.

Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Went there and paid almost 20k cash for a truck that broke down an hour away from the lot. When I went back they had me sit around and wait on an owner that didn’t show up until the next day. They refused to give me my money back and would only give me a credit to their lot. although they refused to give me a credit for my mechanic bills, or my hotels because I’m out of state. The “new truck” I got from them because the other one one had a bad engine had to go to the mechanic before I could even drive it home. Don’t buy anything from this car lot unless you plan on spending more money on mechanic bills as soon as you leave. They don’t professionally take care of their vehicles like a real car lot at all. I didn’t want to finance! I paid cash for my first vehicle that broke down as soon as I went to leave tampa! Yet they act like they did me a favor! I watched them take the truck leaking oil and put it right back on there lot. Don’t trust them or there mechanics! Shady people. Had to pay an $800.00 mechanic bill for the SECOND truck I bought from them just to make it home!

I would say buyer beware. My experience was terrible. I bought a truck and four days later it broke down. I can tell you nobody there cared. The owner never returned my calls. The warranty they sold to me turned out to be horrible. The warranty company has been terrible. They wouldnt cover expenses that were explicitly covered in the waranty. The Chevy dealer who I had repairng my vehicle told me they never seen that before . Finally, when I talked to the finance manager at Unique he said he would give the warranty company a call. I got nothing. No help, no return call. My advice: buyer beware

Got my dream truck, that I thought was impossible for me. This team really went above and beyond to help me to, everyone in there worked together to help on paperwork, nano let me test drive it completely on my own so I didnt get that pressure that I HAD to buy it. Dianna in the office was on top of the paperwork, and emails we got everything accomplished we needed to, to where I got to drive the vehicle home that day ( which I was not expecting) I didnt think I the credit or showed enough income to get it, but she helped with all of that she, and nano broke the paperwork down in terms that I could understand so I knew I wasnt getting hit with hidden fees, Its a really nice tacoma that i got and I couldnt be happier with my purchase. Everyone in the office was super nice and helpful and even was happy for me. I didnt feel forced to buy anything I was able to walk around comfortably. They even helped keep my 4 year old entertained during the whole sale also! 10/10 would recommend!

This dealership is a scam. I was sold a vehicle with a clean carfax and comming a couple months car has dammage all over. Very costly and dealership doesnt own up to their wrong doing. Besides this they sold my trade when i was going to take my rims back AS AGREED BY THEM and had no recorse as to fix the problem. I guess i shouldn’t have bought a mercedes from a gas station dealership.😭

I am very satisfied with unique motos of Tampa. I got to the lot and the sales man Gilbert aka KING OF CREDIT went over and beyond to make sure I got what I wanted. Id definitely tell people to shop with them and ask for Gilbert!

First off Gilbert was amazing at trying to get me approved. However we did not purchase a vehicle because of the condition of the car when we got to the lot to look at it. When we first arrived we noticed that 2 tires right off the top were nearly bald with little to no tread left on them, we walk to the other side and noticed that those tires on that side looked pretty new. I opened up the driver door and immediately noticed there was water in the floor board of the car and water dripping from the dash, we continue to look back and water is in the back floor board as well as water standing in the 3rd row cup holder. Gilbert reassured us that the car did not leak. The interior of the car had not been detailed and smelled. As we are getting ready to test drive the car I try to open the sunroof and when I pushed the button nothing happened then water started pouring out. So needless to say the sunroof was shorted out due to water, I;m thinking. We told Gilbert that we were no longer interested in this car, we go inside to see what other options they may have. Gilbert told the Manger about the sunroof and the manager tried to say well sunroofs leak sometimes. That is unacceptable, if it leaks then fix it if your going to sell the car. Be 100% up front with the pictures and descriptions. However even though we did not purchase a car from them we would recommend Gilbert as a sales person.

Gilbert promised 4 new tires for my car: chrysler 200 blue. We tried several times with no luck. Now they said he is gone! No one knows nothing about it now. I think that is the hook for you to buy. They promise something and they dont accomplish it.

Purchased a 2012 ram 2500 from them they were upfront and honest about the history provided a clean Carfax that was up to date and made the process fast. Was told if I gave them a 5 star review on google they would give me a full tank of fuel, they only gave me a quarter. We also traded in a car, and they haven’t even paid the finance company off and the finance company is still holding us accountable for the transaction. They left bald tires on the truck with a lack of an oil change since only god knows when. I would never shop here again. We told them we only wanted to put $3,000 down and he took $3,500 without even asking. DONT SHOP HERE.
