Love this neighborhood coffee shop. Friendly staff and great coffee. Lots of tables for getting work done. Dog treats for your pup.
Delicious coffee, loved the atmosphere, and the baristas were so kind! Will definitely be back soon.
Decent cafe, but the staff wasnt the most professional. We were deciding what we wanted and someone else entered the store and the barista asked us to get out of line until we were ready. Then the other barista (who was likely in his 20s) called my husband bud. This isnt anything too serious, but it helps convey the general lack of warmth and intimacy I felt in this cafe. It felt professional with everyone there working on laptops or having meetings. The coffee was decent - we ordered an Eggnog Cafe (3/5) and Cappuccino (3/5). Depending where you live, the location is out of the way so I wouldnt recommend going here unless its the closest or most convenient for you.
Perfect dirty chai with just a little bit of sweetness
Awesome place to have a great coffee. the baristas was very nice and friendly.Lover this place
This is my go-to coffee shop. Its family owned and it shows in all the best ways. The folks are sweet as pie and the coffee is perfection. This is one of the few places Ill go and roll the dice with the house special. Their white chocolate cayenne latte surprise me changed me as a human being. Though my true favorite is simply their cold brew. Its brisk, nutty, and mean, just the thing for a long work day!If you go for food, try their baked goods or even a pre-made breakfast sandwich (packed with fresh mozz and Mama Lils) that theyll toast for you on the spot. The food all comes from local partners. Even their day-old discounted baked goods bang. The whole spot is dog friendly and the baristas are quick to welcome our fur family with treats and pats. But the outdoor patio is the perfect shady, cool spot to hang with pups or camp out and work.Punch a frequent buyer card, youll be back.
Some of the best coffee in Seattle and definitely the best baristas. They even have maple syrup as a flavor option which I (as an East Coast transplant) really enjoy. Get the white chocolate maple mocha! (and always tip your baristas!!!!!) ☕ ❤
Ally made the best macchiato I’ve had in Seattle!! Very pleasant experience. GIVE THIS GIRL A RAISE!!! -Drew from Minnesota
Great coffee and staff. They need some merch though! I was hoping to get a shirt for a relative. They dont even have stickers.
Update -8/27/21 (3 stars)Theyve got some new baristas that are still learning to make good coffee. Moved on to other coffee places until things get better.--Excellent coffee, great baristas (5 stars)
Reopening seating indoors without so much as providing good circulation for the safety of your staff (who couldnt possibly be fully vaccinated until nearly mid May) or your customers shows just how little the owners care about anything except lining their pockets. No one is going to become a permanent regular because you have indoor seating, but Im not the first nor will I be there last customer you permanently lost because of it.
Great local coffee ☕shop and a great staff
I absolutely love this coffee shop. My sister is the owner and doing a fantastic job! During these hard times Woodland has pivoted to accommodate social distancing, masking and sanitation. Thank you baristas; you make our day!
I come to this Cafe very frequently and really enjoy its lovely quant atmosphere and delicious coffee from Olympia. The owner Vanessa is sweet and friendly and chooses like-minded staff, Zac is my favorite. I would recommend this Cafe to anyone looking for a good cup in Ballard.
Excellent coffee with many milk alternatives, if youre into that (hemp, almond, oat, etc). These guys know how to make good espresso. East to find, easy to park. They have outside seating and a cozy space indoors! They serve Olympia Coffee Roasters espresso, which seems to be a rare find in Seattle.
My clients chose this coffee shop because it was very close to a birthday party they were attending later in the evening and Im so glad they did. Reid was absolutely the sweetest, kindest most hospitable guy who was just a pure joy. We sat in there for two hours having a meeting at the end of which my client just sat back with her arms crossed and said, I really love this place and hes so nice too. Thanks a million Reid, youre awesome.
I absolutely love this place, and can’t wait to hang out there post COVID. Vanessa and her entire team are so warm and welcoming, the coffee is always top-notch, and the playlist is always so perfect for the day/weather/vibe. The experience from the moment I walk in until the cup is empty is always five stars. So many hugs coming their way when it’s safe to do so!!
Some of the best West Coast style coffee in Seattle in my opinion. Always friendly staff. Good fresh roasts. Nice place to stay and work or read
Great employees, always friendly and customer focused.
My favorite coffee shop in Ballard! I live across 15th with at least three coffee shops that are more convenient for me, but make it a point to walk my butt to Woodland for my fix. Woman-owned and operated, the staff are chill, accommodating and genuine. (To the review below — yes, they might call you bud. On what planet is that offensive *eye roll*) I love knowing that Im giving my $ to a business that cares for their community, too. Oh and they serve quality coffee, food takeaways, and the space is very cute and welcoming if you feel like relaxing.
This cozy little cafe is a local favourite. They make good coffee and theres usually a few people without it being too busy. The pumpkin bread is delicious and they offer some tasty toasted sandwiches as well. Its dog friendly and they have treats from mud bay near the entry.
Fantastic cup of coffee. Stamp Act is really tasty. The staff is always really kind, and its a very comfortable place to hangout and do some work.
Best coffee spot in Seattle. Its kinda hidden away, but thats nice because its not too crowded. Personally, the pumpkin spice latte and egg bacon cheese sandwich are my favorite
The drip coffee is excellent and strong. I would compare it to any boutique roasterie. The latte with oat milk is smooth. The shop was full of people working on laptops or relaxing, it was surprisingly quiet for a Sunday afternoon. Outdoor seating is available in a small cozy alley.
This is my go to coffee shop. The staff is amazing and the coffee is great! They have an option for no contact delivery through the Joe app.
Literally my favorite coffee shop in Seattle. The coffee is amazing and the staff is awesome. Really great atmosphere to meet with friends or do some work.
I absolutely love coming here. I just come to Ballard for training close by, and this shop is the perfect place to hang out while I wait to start. The atmosphere is great, the coffee is fantastic, and the staff is so friendly. I will make sure to come here whenever Im in Ballard.
Nice and comfortable coffee shop with a great tea selection. Bright and homey decor, along with friendly staff and quality beverages
Woodland Coffee is a gem. I love the baristas and the owner! Everyone is welcoming and attentive. It really is an inviting space! It’s wonderful that they carry hemp milk and their hemp matcha latte is my favorite in the city!
Delicious breakfast burrito with black beans, cilantro, egg and spicy sauce - perfect for a spicy and savory craving.Coconut milk latte was a great counter to the spice.
I love this place. They have fun seasonal flavors that are balanced and not a sugar bomb and its a cute location.
Nice cozy spot for coffee.Ive always had great, friendly service from the baristas. The coffee is great. And theres a lot of seating both indoor and outdoor for its size, which is a plus. I second another reviewers comment about a lot of the seating being uncomfortable, unfortunately.
This is such a cute place. Dog friendly, which is wonderful for dogless people like me, I get to see so many adorable puppers! The coffee is great too and they have a wide selection of milk alternatives, which makes my tummy happy. Also one of a handful of places that opens at 6am, so grateful for that!
We really wanted to like this place! The decor is nice and its a good location close to our home... but its a shame they have great beans they dont brew well and their chai lattes arent great. They have good breakfast sandwiches... that are served cold in the middle. The staff is nice... but it misses all of the marks for what I look for in a coffee shop.
Ive had the drip coffee, cold brew and an oat milk latte here and they are all great. All the baristas Ive encountered have been extremely friendly and helpful. But good lord, the chairs here are wildly uncomfortable. If you can sit in the 4 cushioned chairs in the back corner then its fine but any of the other metal chairs around the rest of the tables are actually un-sit-able for any extended period of time. Will return for to go coffee or during non-peak hours for a comfy chair spot.
Such a cute coffee shop, love the atmosphere, and the coffee of course. Barista gave some of the best customer service Ive had in a long time. She greeted me when I came in and she was very helpful. I dont live in the area, but Id certainly stop by again if I was in the area.
Pretty nice! Dog-friendly. Well kept space. Drinks are a little pricey but they have Punch cards for free drinks.
Only place thats always good and open early! Also, the stamp act coffee on special days is exceptional
The blond girl ringing me up demanded to know in a very condescending manner why I ordered decaf. I love coffee but too much caffeine makes me anxious, tried politely explaining this (even though I found it extremely odd to have to justify my preference for ordering decaf at noon) yet she continued questioning in an extremely belittling tone. I go out for coffee every day and never had an experience like this ever. She repeatedly, “just found it weird I’m ordering decaf.”Just found the whole interaction bizzare, embarrassing, intrusive and off-putting.
This place does not offer any unsweetened milk alternatives for lattes. When asked if they may consider offering unsweetened almond milk as an alternative, the owner said I dont carry it because I dont like it. We were stunned. Never mind what the customer would like, just pick from what the owner likes. Tough way to run a business. We wont be going back.
Very nice decor, with a very relaxed setting. Extremely friendly and personal staff. Highly recommend this spot for a morning coffee to help you wake up and be ready for the day.
Fantastic almond milk latte and they even have gluten free food options! The space itself is beautifully decorated and they have an adorable little patio outside.
I love coffee and tea, in all shapes in form. I cant say that the drip coffee was bad, nor was it good. It was like drinking a second run through of grounds. It was...yes, it was bad. Disappointed. Probably wont return. Just bad.
Friendly staff, very clean and well lit space. Love the outdoor seating option! I have only had the drip coffee so far but really enjoyed it. Bonus- Delicious pastries from Macrina!!
Excellent coffee drinks from top roasters, well made and served quickly. Comfy, friendly environment.
Great espresso, top end la marzocco machine brewing Olympia Roasters coffee or another featured roaster on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
My way over priced coffee had grounds in it. I wont be back. And Ill let all my friends know.
An adorable, dog-friendlt coffee shop with good coffee.
Seriously good coffee. I absolutely adore the baristas and owner, and the vibe is ideal for meeting with friends or sitting and working on your laptop.
The Baristas here are super friendly and serve up some great coffee. Its a nice, well-lit quiet place with ample seating inside and outside. This is my favorite cafe in Ballard.
Friendly little neighborhood coffee shop with a great atmosphere! Tasty coffee, and pastries and sandwiches are on-hand from local vendors. Also dog friendly!
I like this place. It meets my criteria for almost everything. It is quiet, relaxed, comfortable, and the internet is fairly speedy. They make a pretty decent Matcha latte and the food options are acceptable. Great spot to meet someone for a work date or to spend some time catching up on some assignments that you have been putting off. Parking is tricky in this neighborhood so plan ahead or use public transportation. Also, the story of their name is quite touching and nice. I like a reason behind things from time to time.
Great atmosphere, nice place to do some work in quite. Close to Safeway and next door to a few salons.
One of my favorite coffee shops in Seattle. Simple, no frills, great WiFi, nice outdoor space, and great coffee. Also, street parking. Great place to work out of.
Wonderful place to study. 2 hour parking on the street. Love their matcha latte!
Great coffee, clean store, friendly & efficient staff. Would definitely check in here again for my morning caffeine fix!
Great coffee and lovely store.
Olympia coffee, Stamp Act. Very friendly and good service. Remember to tip and be kind.
Great atmosphere, great coffee, friendly staff, good place to work and/or meet with clients
Great place. Friendly staff, quick drinks.
Another great coffee shop in Seattle. Not sure I can live any other place now.
Honest do not really like the coffee beans they use. But they make a killer Cherry Almond Scone. Thats why I rated a 4
Nice place, simple and average pricing
Adorable coffee house, great coffee, comfy surroundings, and an outdoor patio!
Great local coffee shop. Has wide selection of coffees and dairy options.
Good coffee! Nice place to meet friends or work
The coffee (serving Olympia Roasters) is quite good, and the baristas have been quite pleasant. I hope this place gains popularity--its somewhat of a hidden gem.
Their pastries are worldclass. A small yet high quality of food
They serve great coffees, the baristas are professional and friendly.
They have hemp milk, and matcha, two hard-to-find ingredients! Always bright and pleasant, the baristas here try their best and pour a tasty latte.
A serene coffee shop with a modern PNW vibe. Delicious coffee and excellent atmosphere! Its also dog-friendly.
Lovely coffee, good atmosphere, nice outdoor seating. Great place to go when waiting for tire installation @firestone.
Super pet friendly, lovely outdoor patio, delicious mochas, very sweet staff!
This use to be my favorite coffeeshop in Seattle. I have known the owner, Vanessa for a while and always enjoyed her company. As well, I liked all the previous baristas who use to work here and thought they were very friendly and always made good drinks. However, there is a new barista working here and she is utterly hostile and condescending. The moment I walked in to order my drink she started snapping at me and acting in a very passive aggressive manner. Im feeling she is discriminating me possibly because of my gender or maybe she hates that I was friends with the other baristas here. I notice she had a Girl Power shirt and seems to have a gender bias about her. Obviously, she did not outright insult me for being who I am. However, being a minority (Jewish), I have felt my share of discrimination in the past, so I tend to have a good feeling when someone is being discriminating towards me. I felt like she hated me. She scolded me for saying the coffee bean selection was a bit limited today, was extremely rude when I tried asking her questions and gave me a look like she wanted to stab me or something.
Nice and sweet coffee shop! Friendly staff good coffee, good pastries :-)A good place to go
Pet friendly, nice and clean... friendly staff... no sodas available. It was quite loud.
Delicious coffee and pastries, quiet open seating, and lovely staff. Easy 5/5 place
Nice cozy neighborhood coffee shop....nice and bright plenty of seating and excellent coffee!
Awesome drip coffee! Awesome people!
When you walk inside, youre greeted with an open floor layout, high ceilings, bright & fresh-looking paint, an above-average amount of natural light, and generally pleasant decor.Theres a large, family-size table that can be shared with others, and there are a bunch of large, wooden, high-top tables. A couple of lower tables adorn the front side of the shop. Theres a small, outdoor patio with a variety of planters along a nice, wooden fence.Coffee served here is from Olympia Coffee Roasting Company, which can be on the bitter / acidic side. I got a 12 oz. Americano and doused it in half & half, as I usually do, which made it somewhat bearable.Along the coffee bar, theres an all-glass container with a few bakery selections: a cinnamon bun with cream cheese on top, croissants, carrot bread, ham & cheese scones, muffins, and cookies. I had a croissant, which was exactly what I expected it to be ... light, buttery, and tasty.Service was moderately friendly, but not what Id consider outgoing either, perhaps because Im not a recognizable regular. The wifi password is clearly taped onto the register for patrons to consume. This isnt always done at coffee shops, and its annoying to have to ask for it. I lucked out and had Xfinity wifi immediately available to me close by.All in all, this is a top-notch location. Im rating it four stars for being an excellent coffee shop. The coffee they serve could be a bit smoother; perhaps from a different coffee roaster, or a different product from Olympia Coffee.
Wonderful little coffee shop. What else do you need to?
Great coffee. Good selection of baked goods
Vanessa, Pam and Erica are the best...And the coffee is pretty darn good too!
I love this place! Great seating inside and out!
Cosy, chill, friendly - great cold brew too!
Nice shop and very good coffee
My favorite coffee place. Such friendly staff and great setting.
Great coffee and pastry shop serving Olympia Coffee Roasters.
Nice ambiance with your coffee drinks and deserts
