Although the drinks are the same you can get at any location, it’s cool to visit the first ever location. They offer exclusive merchandise you can only buy at that store. The line moves pretty quick, if you go later in the day it seems to be shorter.

THE FIRST STARBUCKS... EVER. Girl, you got to come here. It was about half an hour wait from the time I got in line until the time I ordered. The coffee is exactly the same, but c’mon you got to be able to say YOU DID IT! There are some cool souvenirs specific to that location and there is an employee that stands outside and WANTS to take your picture so do not be afraid to ask!

I wasn’t a Starbucks fan till I came here. To be honest I’m not really a coffee fan. I usually think it tastes like dirt water and for a number of reasons need to keep drinking it. Most of the time it gives me heartburn because it’s too acidic, however I came her to try their special blend they only have at this location. I was amazed at the high level of customer service despite being so overwhelming busy. The special blend of coffee as recommended is the same bean as they serve at all locations, however it’s roasted longer and eliminates the excessive acidity. I didn’t get heartburn and have returned many times since. I also tried their nitro cold brew chocolate covered strawberries flavor which was Amazing and amazing strong. The grande is equivalent to 7 shots of expresso which means the tall should be about 4 shots of expresso, however they haven’t confirmed. This is becoming a fav of mine now.I also caught this other Starbucks building flying our Kraken flag and made me like them even more.

The first Starbucks in the world. There are lots of mugs/cups of the original Starbucks logo sold here, also lots of exclusive cups/beans sold here. However, there usually is a long line for entering the store, which takes 45mins - 1hr.To beverage is identical to normal Starbucks. There is actually another store nearby that sells some of the mugs.A place to visit if you are a big fan of Starbucks.

Waited in line for about an hour to finally walk into the First Starbucks in the world! Let me just tell you right away that it is simply not worth the wait! Theres nothing amazing that tells you the history inside or anything different than any other Starbucks that can be found on either corner! The outside is honestly beautiful and worth stopping by for at least a picture, but waiting in lines is totally not worth it at all!Now even the staff know that standing out front is ridiculous, so they do give you an umbrella so that you dont completely fry!Moral of the store: do what your heart desires, stand in the line if you absolutely cannot resist! 👀

People don’t go to this Starbucks specifically for the coffee, it’s the same as any other Starbucks but it’s really about the experience which was great and worth the wait (which however long it was, didn’t end up feeling very long)! While waiting outside, they had someone with a bubble gun which made for some beautiful pictures, and of course people playing music all over pikes place is always good entertainment. The original Starbucks location in Pike Place Market is an awesome place to visit. It is located right on the market and is usually very busy. There was an employee at the front door controlling the number of people inside the building since its not a very large space. My drink was made perfectly, and it was really fun experiencing the hustle and bustle atmosphere of the market while sipping on my beverage. It made for a fun afternoon adventure to go walking around downtown Seattle and on the Waterfront.

Cons: You will wait in line at least 30 min to get in, if you come between May-October.Pros: The staff is unbelievably patient and on this visit: hilarious.I’m a local and I came to the OG Starbucks to get merch for some out of town visitors; Patricia is AWESOME. She was coming outside every 5-10 mins to chat with people in line. She had little fun facts about the store and stories to share. She had directions for visitors and suggestions for places to eat. Truly a great host!If you’re headed into this location here are a few things to know: all the merchandise in the store is exclusive. You can’t buy ‘Pike Place Sbux’ merch anywhere but here in the store. You can order any drink you usually would but they do not sell food. The reason for that is there’s like… 20 places within a block that you could get delicious food. They do only allow a certain amount of people in the store at a time (even before Covid) so there will almost always be a line. If you get there before they open (6:30am) it’ll be the shortest wait time.Have a great time!

The wait wasnt that long to get inside and ordering went by really smoothly. I got the Chocolate Strawberry Nitro that they only offer at this location and it was pretty yummy. It didnt have much strawberry flavor, but it was still good.I only gave it 4 stars just because the inside is rather small. When we were next in line for our drinks several people started crowding in front of the service counter so we had to maneuver our way around them to get the drinks and leave the store. Overall a great experience that was really quaint.
