This was the worst coffee shop experience in a very long time. This was my second and last visit here. The first time was questionable but I decided to give it another try.The service was horrible. The person taking my order was disorganized and in a rush. As a result, he could not get my card charged. When he went to fix it, he flipped the screen my way in such a manner as if it was my fault. In addition to the order I needed an extra paper cup. When I asked for it, he told me that he would need to charge me 50c (really? you double cup half the orders as is; you even double cupped one of mine! See it in the pictures) but refused to charge my card because the transaction was too small. Then he went on to question why I needed it in the first place. All of these verbal exchanges (I can’t call it conversations) were done in a rude manner, where I felt like I was an annoyance to the staff and not a paying customer. Finally, as I was leaving the shop, I told them that that they were rude and that this was my last visit. No reaction, Zero! As if I wasn’t even there. On a more positive note, the coffee is indeed good. But not worth the experience.
I enjoyed their hot coffee and the staff was nice! Would like if they had some gluten free pastry or snack options. Very close to the park. Parking is a bit of a challenge if you drive there.
Somewhat depressing atmosphere inside, to many photo copy signs posted throughout. Staff seemed to care less about customer service.. Selection of pastries looked tired and old. Hot chocolate was more like warm Nestles Quick when using teaspoon of chocolate powder.
Wow, what a great coffee shop.Rarely do I write reviews but this place is a hidden gem. They recommended their sherry cake and wow, no joke, best cake Ive had in a long time. Paired with a perfect pull espresso and Ill be back again soon.
Small spot, very open and half the walls are bare. Very friendly service, the dude with the man bun was personable and quick to help. I tried their carrot cake and a hazelnut latte. The cake was really good and the coffee was above average. I would definitely suggest this spot over Starbucks up the road. They could use some more decorative additions to give the inside some atmosphere and warmth.
Goodrich mocha better than Starbucks. Decent service. Still cold would lock down, didnt have any whipped cream. But Id recommend it.
Nice place. I had a good cup of tea. The only reason I did not give it a five star is though I liked the place there was nothing that really put it above the other independent coffee houses. Will I be back yes most definitely I mean a four star is good. I would give 4.6 if I could my wife says the coffee was good and my tea was not bad.
The coffee is very hot which is a plus. The pumpkin bread is delicious.
Weve heard good things about the coffee, and tried to visit this place several times over the past three months. Their google info, their website and their store front show incorrect info for hours (open at 6 am M-F), or none at all (store front). After trying several times, we give up.
Just moved here wanted to support local business rather than Starbucks- staff was friendly but they unfortunately discriminate against the non vaccinated-asked me to show proof of vaccine or leave-In hard times where local business are all suffering financially its unfortunate that staff and owners are running people out.Logistically lets think about this-I spent apx 35$ there and would have returned at least twice a week if not 4-thats almost 2 thousand dollars a year (including tips)of my business gone. Lost. Now imagine how many hundreds of other people wont return because they also felt discriminated against- even if only 10 people feel like I do thats 20 thousand dollars lost- all because you discriminated against a perfectly healthy person. Not only is it wrong so discriminate against anyone for their medical freedom/choices its ILLOGICAL.My prediction is that this business will not last if it continues to make this vital mistake.I also wonder if they will face discrimination lawsuits?Think twice before visiting this very basic coffee shop.(Written by someone that OFTEN writes 4/5 star reviews)
Clean, minimal, local coffee. They treat you like they know you, even if they dont yet. They offer a blank canvas of sorts; excellent for writing or reading or just existing. Patrons are very friendly, which is important because the space is quite small. Great coffee and simple sandwiches. This place just makes you feel taken care of. A hidden gem I am hesitant to share.
Coffee is good, pastry is good, nice barista, lots of seating.
Got an iced oat milk latte and it was really tasty! Wasnt sure if their ice maker was broken, but the barista was scooping it out of a cooler, kind of weirded out by the optics of it but otherwise had a pleasant experience.
Phil and the Brothers at Revolution have always been top shelf, as are all the things they bake.I miss the old location/space, but the spirit of the team certainly lives on.
Great customer service! Great coffee!
Really nice staff! Great coffee and tea. Love that this place supports local artists.
Favorite coffee shop for more than 15 years! Phil is a Seattle institution!
Workers are friendly and their carrot cake was so good! I got an iced chai, not as sweet as the usual ones I get from other cafes but it was still good!
Had a mocha, it tasted like low quality artificial sweeteners with no real hint of chocolate. Overpriced for the quality, would not recommend.
I highly recommend this coffee shop! The brewed coffee here is the best! They really work hard to make a great cup of coffee. Staff always remembers my order and makes it right as I approach the front. Shows they are really invested in excellent service. Also like the fact they always give you two cups to help insulate the coffee.
They are dog friendly and the staff are very nice 😊🙆♂️ When I ordered coffee with half and half, they kindly asked me how much they put it into it. It is very close to the green lake👍
Revolutions Coffee in Greenlake has a great Chi-latte, breakfast sandwiches and I love the pastries! Free WiFi, lots of parking during the day but hard to find in the evenings and weekend and a very clean and nicely decorated place. Good coffee, friendly staff and close to downtown Seattle and Green Lake. #localguides
Delicious, Best coffee in Greenlake/Wallingford/Ravenna and friendly, talented baristas. Foods good too.
Nothing special on food, baristas, or coffee. Still, this is my favorite coffee shop in Green Lake. Good music. Good environment.
The staff I had when we visited were very friendly and there was a constant stream of people (social distancing obviously)
We came in the morning. Had a great latte. Excellent, friendly service. We also got a few muffins, which were quite tasty. The breakfast food selection is very limited but overall, we had a great experience.
Giving this place 3 stars for the friendly service...1 star for coffee/price. I live in Seattle so I’m well aware of the average price for a cup of Joe! They charge additional for “iced” drinks. Most absurd thing I’ve heard of. For a (almost) $10 espresso drink, I expect it to taste phenomenal, it didn’t and to make matters worse I asked for Oat Milk(not Lactose intolerant, thank baby Jesus!) but I’m certain I got regular milk. Bummed it didn’t work out, it definitely is a cute coffee shop.
This is one of the best coffee shops in the world, period. Everything is baked in house, and the menu is just deep enough without trying to be something it’s not. The staff all love their job or at least they act like it. You can’t find a better cappuccino than the wizard and owner, Phil will serve you. Rock on Revolutions!
Really nice coffee and pastries.
Liked the service and coffee was good. When there to study was effective for that. Not enough outlets so be aware where they are when you sit. There were some weirdos there. Some guy was babbling about pyrimids in Antarctica and other nonsense and some girl threw their belongings everywhere taking like 7 tables out
I got the mocha once here, it was the most robust cup of coffee Ive had, ever. Good stuff, good baristas.
I would plan my day around stopping here. The owners Damon and Phil and the atmosphere was so inviting, and the coffee was wonderful. One of the best lattes Ive drank in Seattle.
This place is everything a coffee shop should be and more! The pastries are made fresh every morning, they some of the best coffee Ive ever tasted and an overall great feel & vibe with the staff/establishment. Hands down the best coffeeshop in the green lake/Seattle area. If you havent been there, you should go.
One of my favorite coffee shops! Everyone is super friendly, its dog friendly, and they also have a great assortment of pastries to choose from! The tea and coffee are great!
Great coffee and personality. Pastries baked in house (muffins, scones, sweet breads) and breakfast sandwiches. Theyll put some velvety foam on your cappuccino, if youre into that sort of thing. Really comfortable seating. A nice alternative to Starbucks. I think the only thing that could up their game would be more food options.
Best coffee shop in Seattle. Super friendly staff, great treats, snacks and handcrafted drinks make Revs one of the best spots in town. You can stop in for a quick cup and go walk the lake or chill out and listen to the tunes while enjoying a great vibe. Phil, his family and staff have really come together to make the new spot feel as homey and welcoming as the old location. I love the simple and clean build out and the subdued yet still natural lighting that fills the place. The addition of more sandwiches and beer has only added to awesome menu and keeps me coming back. Good job Revolutions Coffee! Keep up the good work!!
There is a serious mix up here. These photos are of two different places. One is small little coffee shop and the other is massive one on a nearby corner. Both have an industrial / modern feel and may even be two divisions of the same place. Decent coffee but neither is particularly cozy. Not bad just dont use this places as meeting spot - youll never find one another.
A great little stop in Greenwood. I had a quick business meeting here and my latte was well made and piping hot (like I asked!). Quiet and cozy place to take a break.
Great coffee and friendly staff, just needs a little work on decor and atmosphere. Overall great experience!!
Amazing coffee! Great service! Nice folks
Great atmosphere. Very helpful cheerful staff. Dog friendly.
Very easy going coffee shop great people working there good Coffee
Easy choice: Go to Revs. Get an Americano and a pastry. Hang out at the lake. Repeat!
My favorite coffee haunt. The brothers that run it are awesome and remember your name with shocking ease. Plenty of room to stretch out and outlets for your laptop. Food? Great goods baked on site, but not where you go for a meal.
Whoever the dude is working the late morning/afternoon shift today, hes nailed the whole customer service thing. He was super social and seemed to know almost everyones name.See ya later, Stacy.Hey, Stan.Get all of your work done, Jessica?Did you catch that soccer match, Bob?I sound like an old guy who was a bit too into Cheers to be this impressed by someone remembering almost every customers name, but hey, this is the kind of guy you want working a neighborhood coffee shop.
This place is great. Everyone that works there is really nice and friendly. Went here a couple times during the snowmageddon and got a delicious muffin. Its also a great place to get work done.
Cozy place with good coffee
I had someone meet me here for a business meeting. Nice quiet place and good strong coffee. Standing tables were a nice touch.
Friendly people, coffee is only ok. Its got that bitter taste Starbucks has (but Seattles Best doesnt). Bitter is fine (just like some people like hoppy beers), but its not for everyone, and its not personally for me. I would have given only three stars, but the person working really was super friendly, and I think its pretty cool that they project the menu on the wall. Yes, I know that doesnt really add any value, but I just thought it was something cool and unique!
It is a nice coffee shop. I love coming here for study. The owner has changed so the shop got renovation, It now has more lounge bar feel at night.
Nice coffee drinks, they do it all well. Pastries are very delicious and plump. The new space is more table and chair traditional, compared to the comfy couch feel of the old location
Great Service, Excellent Baristas, and Fantastic Beverages & Pastries!
Locally owned, pleasant/relaxing atmosphere, and free high speed wifi
My new favorite coffee place near Green lake. The coffee was delicious, the staff wonderful, the decor seriously minimal. If you are looking for a comfy chair to relax in, go somewhere else. This place is all about the coffee.
Went on a late summer day, it was very hot inside. The space is very dark. disappointed they dont have cold brew on their menu.
Revising my previous review. The quality of the coffee has improved significantly, and their new location is great with views over the park. The decor could use some more thought as it is a little generic, but I think they are settling in. Barista was really friendly too.
I was expecting a cosy, eclectic place but their new location is very modern and hip which I didnt like. Dont get me wrong, its a nice place with good coffee, its just not what I was hoping for. Just be aware most of the photos are from their old location.
Simple espresso drinks done very, very well. Funky music. The nicest baristas. Homemade pastries. Well done, Revolutions!
Kind staff that seem to recognize regulars. Very family friendly with tasty coffee and sandwiches. (Baked goods also look great)
Kind friendly staff with really awesome coffee!!😁
The proprietor of the cafe made me an exquisite cortado just before noon, while the other barista, whose name I didnt get, was so friendly and accommodating deep into the afternoon as to seem unsustainable. A lovely neighborhood cafe.
Revolutions Coffee has a great Chi-latte, breakfast sandwiches and I love the pastries! Free WiFi, lots of parking during the day but hard to find in the evenings and weekend, very clean and nicely decorated place. Good coffee, friendly staff and close to downtown and Green Lake. #localguides
Fantastic coffee and delicious baked goods. Always leave well-caffeinated and with a smile on my face. Their new location is phenomenal! If you find yourself in Green Lake and need your morning fix, this is the place to get it.
Top notch coffee, delicious gluten-free bacon/cheddar scones and gluten-free zucchini and pumpkin breads. Sweet and friendly owners and staff. My favorite coffee shop!
Good coffee. Look out for Kamden, the robot dancer to serve your coffee. Youll usually be welcomed by him at the entrance with some popping and locking.
Best coffee near Green Lake. Just ask Ty.
Best coffee shop around green lake and a staple of the neighborhood community. Phil, the owner, is the kind of guy that remembers everyones name and drink order. They play great music and hang rotating art from local artists.
The photos are misleading. Not comfy or cozy. Wooden, uncomfortable, limited seating. My coffee tasted like it was dirt, from the revolutionary war. The guy at the counter was nice tho.
Lovely little coffee shop with wonderful staff and frequented by regulars in the Green Lake neighborhood. Their Seattle-approved coffee and plentiful assortment of tasty baked goods make this place the perfect stop before taking a walk around the lake.
Great location, fantastic atmosphere and DELICIOUS coffee. Aside from those glowing qualities this spot is clean, but not sterile feeling, while being warm and inviting. I was impressed (having been a barista myself once upon a time) how the gentlemen on the bar was able to be so personable and professional at the same time. A++ I will make it my go-to spot for coffee in Greenlake!
Enjoyed (to an extent) my muffin. However, in my opinion, their strawberry smoothie was WAY too sweet. Hesitant (but not opposed to) recommending.
Honestly cant understand the 4.5 star rating after our visit. Ordered a latte with two syrups and couldnt say if they forgot the syrups or not even after stirring. The latte itself was fine, but theyre either skimping on syrups or unsure how many pumps go in a 16oz.Girlfriend ordered a macchiato and ended up with an americano, which we didnt notice until wed already left. Place was deathly quiet and we were the only ones in line, so unsure where the miscommunication was. That said, it would have been fine had the coffee not been lower standard than the dishwater at Dennys. Suffice to say, ended up tossing it in the waste bin marked Hazardous.Lastly, staff was friendly enough but hardly the bellowing welcome most coffee shops exhibit. Perhaps it was an off-day for them, but being Saturday we had hoped for more on our off-day. As another reviewer commented, the pictures are a complete lie and not for this location. Cant recommend given it is all paid-parking nearby, especially if just passing through.
The perfect place to grab a coffee before a morning walk around green lake.Staff is awesome and the coffee is NEVER burnt.Skip the line and bad coffee at Starbucks and walk around the corner to Revolutions Espresso.
Most amazing wellness drinks and muffins! Sweetest baristas also!!!
I have never known a barista as awesome as Phil. He greets his customers with friendliness and enthusiasm and easily remembers your favorite drink, The pastries are made on site and are delicious. Ask for the crack cake - you wont be disappointed.
Now this is a coffee shop. Dog friendly, outlets, (actually good) WiFi, and above all some staff that really engage with you. American customer service feels fake most places, but at Revolutions you know your around people that really enjoy talking with you! Ive ordered drip, messos and cortados. Always made perfectly to order. The taste is fantastic, but the presentation can be a little lacklustre. Since its such a great place it can be very busy during the weekends as well.
Very cozy place. Can work, chat and sip a cup of their delicious Cappucino while enjoying the music in the background.
In a town of great baristas, Phil, owner/operator is among the best
Great coffee and friendly staff. Go almost every weekend!
Nice location an atmosphere, has sandwiches and pastries. Just a nice place to sit and enjoy a coffee.
Great coffee and super friendly wonderful baristas!! Love this place
Great coffee, excellent service. If there is a little line you may wait cuz the service is very person-to-person. Kamden is an above average barista. Not a big place but cozy and friendly. Best coffee in green lake i think.
Strong coffee, good people. The new location is gorgeous
Great pulls, using a four bean espresso blend from Herkimer.
Bit of an odd atmosphere, but the coffee, food, and baristas are great. Nice place to study near the lake.
Friendly and causal atmosphere. The coffee is great.
Lucky to have this place as our closest (independent) coffee shop. Good menu, good environment, a couple of the baristas are top notch and the others are striving to be.
