Cute corner coffee shop. Currently take out only with a few outdoor tables. Unfortunately I found this coffee shop to be overpriced. The drinks are expensive but the quality does not correspond to the price. The machiatto just did not taste good, and the mocha did not have any chocolate taste. Staff are friendly and service is great, but the coffee is not worth the price.
I really wish I could give at least 4 stars, but I cant. Look, the espresso coffee tastes fine, so thats 4 stars (its not organic coffee though). Non-organic Espresso should not cost $3.25 before tax. Thats absurd. Im from Seattle and Ive been to 50+ coffee roasters around Seattle, and this is the most expensive non-organic coffee thus far. My next complaint is the milk is cheap non-organic non-local GMO milk, even though it made my cappuccino jump to $5 after tax. They served it with plastic too, which you cant compost... also a bummer. Their wi-fi works well, and there are a couple tables near the curb for outdoor seating, but no umbrellas, so no shade. Overall, 3 stars is generous for me... it feels like just another Starbucks. Not impressed. Either they should lower their prices, or improve their products and experience. This is unusual for my hometown of Seattle... something Id expect in the suburbs, but not here.
Didn’t get to try the coffee. I stood at the window for a good seven minutes. I was the only one in line. One barista didn’t acknowledge me and kept on with a conversation with a man leaving. Another guy said he’d be right with me and started doing random stuff other than customer service to the one guest, me. Guys if you have one guest you probably should give them some service or a greeting before ten minutes passes. I know this is Seattle but cmon…
Colombian single origin on drip was excellent. Friendly service too.
This beautiful coffee shop makes a wonderful cappuccino. This is the first time I’ve check them out, but from what I am seeing, everyone that came in, loves this small delightful neighborhood café. I like the happy friendly attitude of the baristas. I’m looking forward to trying their other coffees. Awesome place
With Fiore gone now, we don’t have many good coffee shops left in West Seattle, but this is one of them!
Nice coffee, sometimes there is a wait in the morning
I came to the shop looking for a cup of fresh coffee. They would not tell me about the coffee they had available. When asked, they pointed to their menu where the only information was the name of the coffee and the flavor notes. Nothing that actually describes what kind of roast it is. Or if it did the barista was not willing to educate me. I explained to her all i wanted was a cup of coffee and they took a snarky attitude. The only reason I came was for a cup of normal coffee. That was apparently a difficult task.Apparently they only stock light roasts available for pour over. They stated that the flavors rotate but there is no way to find out what they have aside from calling. Why is it so difficult to find a fresh cup of coffee from a coffee roaster in Seattle?
Always great coffee and the online order and pickup is so easy
Good coffee. Not great pastries
Soo happy to have Olympia Coffee Roasting in West Seattle. Def my go to for beans. The cafe is pretty cool as well, folks are friendly pastries are good and coffee is spectacular!
Good coffee, nice people, clean quick and comfortable.
Ever since I discovered their coffee beans they became a fave and was so ecstatic they opened this in my hood! Always the best rich texture in their espressos.
Just purchased a bag of the Ethiopia Banko and its already one of our favorite pour over brews. Love the bag design as well!
Top notch coffee. I know I can always stop here and my wife will be pleased and bonus points if I bring home a bag of their Ethiopian roast.
Great place .. would highly recommend. Would be even better to chill, sit on the small outer benches in the post-covid world.
This place is truly amazing. The coffee is absolutely phenomenal but the service is even better, even tho they can be really busy at times. Definitely recommend
Awful experience. Very rude. Will not be coming here again.
Great ambiance and high quality products. Recommended!
Oly coffee is a truly wonderful local business. I grew up in Olympia and watched them grow. Their coffee is amazing, their staff are friendly and passionate about the product, and their locations are all decorated fantastically. Theres no downside. Just check them out. You wont regret it.
There are a lot of great coffee shops in W. Seattle but this is my favorite!
Small location but big on friendliness whenever youre there. The first time I had an espressos with their coffee I was really surprised and delighted. Its so bright, super acidic and almost orange in color. Im a bit sad that theyre not getting cronuts there anymore as apparently the wholesale baker they were using moved away. Otherwise, this place does not disappoint and is a gem in the neighborhood.
Delicious and quick
Great spot in the neighborhood for coffee and tea. Clean and well setup for customer use. Very friendly and super knowledgeable staff who answered all my questions. Will be making this my go-to coffee place now when Im in W-SEA.
Great flavor profile, fresh, has sugar free oat milk (so delicious if you havent tried) and a friendly staff. One of the most delectable coffee experiences I have had, time and time again.I triggers me a lot of cafes do not carry sugar free non-dairy milks. Its not even the sugar fact but preference. I enjoy my latte robust and bitter... Thank you for having a sugar free option!
I like the atmosphere of this coffee shop it has interesting seating options and nice marble tables. For being a small shop they also have a lot of space. Now that said it is a TINY shop. It also has seating options outside.I picked it at my cousins recommendation so its a pretty chill place. It has modern elevator music which is very soothing. For some people the tiny menu on the left might be a problem.
The location is nice, and the shop is clean, but the coffee is very underwhelming. I had a medium roast drip coffee, and it seemed very watered down compared to other shops as well as being a lackluster flavor. Nothing was bad, it just wasnt anything special as it had been described to me. For the price, Id go somewhere else.
Another lovely shop in West Seattle on California avenue. Not a place to post up and work for hours BUT this is the place to get a good coffee, read a book, write, etc, and I love it for that.
Amazing coffee and nice little space to chill out or catch up on some work. Ive tried a lot of roasters across the US and this one stands out exceptionally.
This has been my favorite coffee roaster that I have been to in Seattle so far.Very friendly staff. They always make me feel welcomed and happy to be there buying coffee! I generally get a pour-over and a bag of coffee. I look forward to continue supporting them.
Gorgeous set up. Lots of options. Come for the coffee. Stay for the experience.
My new favorite coffee spot in West Seattle. Great flavorful coffee served artfully by the baristas. Small indoor space with enough counter space to work on your laptop or tablet. Outdoor seating is best - especially when the sun is out and there isnt a ton of traffic on California.
Excellent in all respects. The best coffee I have ever had. Every other coffee house pales in comparison. Wonderful baristas, great atmosphere. A treat every time I visit. Thanks for opening a store in West Seattle!!
Cute coffee spot with great coffee. Offers oatmilk as alternative milk. Will come back!
Excellent cup of joe
My favorite coffee place, not just in Seattle but anywhere that I’ve been on this planet. But it’s also more than just that, it’s the relationships I’ve built with the baristas that make me go in there everyday and spend the money I do. This is place has been open almost 2 years and I’ve been there more times than not. Ian, Wes and Kailey are easily the 3 best baristas I’ve ever had to deal with, not only are they great people but they take the time and effort needed to create amazing coffee. Honestly, if they move on with their careers somewhere else, I’ll probably also move my coffee experience and money to wherever they go. Remember without good employees, there isn’t good coffee.
Just had black coffee, but it was good! Not nearly enough space inside to sit, so if its a cold day or raining, dont plan on spending a ton of time hanging out here. Kind, quick service!
Great place. The customer service is excellent and the coffee is superb. Ive had this brand of coffee brewed elsewhere but it always tasted burnt. These guys make it right
Good gingersnap latte, good service and clean space. I wish they had hemp milk and caramel as options.
Great Coffee! Very Friendly. Light and airy, but still a cozy feel. The pastry selection is unique, local and delicious. Though very tiny, it a big addition to the neighborhood!
Great place to get coffee and relax. Chill environment with some sofas and tables to sit at. Something different from the usually Starbucks I usually go to.
Well trained staff with an eye on quality. I recommend the pour over, to try something new. Olympias single origins are some of the best Ive tasted.
During my time in the Seattle area, I didn’t have time to make it to Olympia to try the legendary Olympia Coffee Roasters, so it was awesome to see they had a cafe closer. The two baristas on staff were very helpful and skilled. The passion for coffee was evident in their work. I’m not usually a 7 dollar pourover Guy, but it was worth it. The coffee I had was one of the most floral and tea-like coffees I’ve ever had. It was amazing. My friend got a macchiato, which I drank half of, and it was easily the best espresso I’ve ever had. There’s a reason Olympia coffee is considered one of the best.
Went twice. First day I felt tolerated by the solitary staff member - 😐 - stepped in and ordered, stepped out to handle business. Came back and was served a good shot of espresso.Second time I did the same thing, stepped in and ordered a shot from one of the three staff members, all looking at me like 😐 but no one took my payment before going to make the shot.... stepped out to handle business. Came back to find my order was cancelled because I stepped out, despite hanging around for 20 seconds or so looking dead at them and trying to pay before stepping out. Same guy was there as the day before but didnt vouch for me and allowed my order to be cancelled. When one staff member broadcasted with a smirk and a condescending tone that he didnt think I was coming back, the guy from the day before didnt say a thing and looked at me like 😐.... Got a shot at PCC instead.
Nice neighborhood coffee shop. Knowledgeable staff with good quality coffee. Small inside, but they have outdoor tables.
Great coffee, friendly, great covid protocols
Good coffee. It wasnt my personal favorite type of coffee variety. Because of that, I went cheap and just got drip but to my surprise it still tasted like a pour over. Fantastic!
Delicious coffee and friendly staff.
Had the cold brew over ice, definitely fruit forward taste if you are not used to it, good stuff.
I got a latte with vanilla syrup and it was delightful. Also the barista was super helpful and nice.
The most delicious coffee Ive had in Seattle.
Great coffee, can order from outside
I love this place! Some of the best coffee Ive ever had, and its two blocks from my house.
Love the staff, good coffee, and vibe. Lots of sun. Pastries could get better for their price.
I am going to give my unfiltered, very honest opinion after coming here continuously for the past month and a half; I also trained at Olympia years ago (as a former barista trainer myself), so I know firsthand how dedicated they are to perfection and excellence. Im offering Olympias West Seattle location 3 stars entirely due to the atmosphere set by the baristas through their interactions with customers. This includes not only my own experiences as a customer, but also my observations of their interactions with others.Twice the same barista and their shift partner greeted me warmly the moment I walked in, and engaged in a genuine manner the entire time. Those experiences were lovely and left me wanting to return. However, every other time I have been in (and I come in almost daily), the baristas often dont greet me or others when we walk in, wait until the very last second to begin engaging fully and rarely smile or offer any sense of warm welcoming. If they talk at all, its mainly between themselves. This space is way too small to disengage from customers. Frankly, it feels pretty uncomfortable, which is disappointing and unfortunately pretty standard for so many Seattle coffee shops.I live and own a business within walking distance, and would really prefer for Olympia to be my main spot. I also bring my clients here or direct them to Olympia on a regular basis. There are a few lovely shops in the area that offer the same price point, dedication to providing high quality specialty coffee and the same or greater seating options, and after another disengaged experience today I am considering switching over entirely. I want to love this place, but if the only difference is feeling welcome in my regular spot...As someone who deeply valued my job as a barista once upon a time and went out of my way to create a warm environment for my customers, my recommendation is for the baristas to make a stronger effort to engage with their customers with presence. Everything else about the space, products and location is beautiful, and I hope this evolves to match the rest.
Fantastic coffee! Small but usable space. Cookie was tasty, too. Staff was nice and friendly as well.
An intimate and beautifully styled West Seattle coffee shop offering delicious espresso and tasty pastries, with a side of friendly service.
Its a small, cozy spot with friendly staff. They have several non dairy options including oat milk. Their mocha is a favorite here--not overly sweet.
The chai was great and I love they have oat milk.
Ordered a kawfee and it was trash, n the lady in there sus .
Waited so long for this place to open 😄 Nice atmosphere, friendly service, coffee made well and of course I indulged with a baked good. Wont be the last time here.
Awesome coffee, very laid back great vibe. Both indoor and outdoor seating
Great coffee, very nice atmosphere. My cappuccino was a bit overpriced, I never pay that much anywhere for the small size.
Best beans in all of Seattle and really friendly baristas! I love this place!
Great atmosphere, latte service. Worth a visit.
Love the coffee! and I actually mean coffee: Americano- no cream, no sugar. The croissants and cruffins are decadently delicious. The staff is so skilled, welcoming and lovely to chat with. Olympia Coffee is my Saturday morning ritual.
This is where I get beans for home. Very helpful staff and delicious everything.
The location is amazing and the coffee they prepare is so perfect. I frequently visit this place for coffee with friends.
Their coffee is off the chain. Seriously second to none.
Super friendly. Correctly poured a black coffee and a bunch of fancy stuff for the rest of the family.
Coffee was good, service could have been a bit friendlier and the temperature was too warm to sit inside, glad they have outdoor seating available.Would go back if in the area.
Not my regular coffee shop but they make good coffee.
My favorite coffee shop. Worth the trip to West Seattle.
Im a no-nonsense coffee drinker and I dont like overpaying for pretentious coffee. Get me an Americano with no cream. Heck, just give me the drip Joe and Im fine with that. And so, here I find myself giving five stars to a coffee shop that is a tiny bit pretentious and pretty expensive (too me). I ordered the drip coffee and was blown away by the presentation. My cup comes on a bamboo wood slab, accompanyied by a glass flask filled with a gratuity (extra) coffee. Functional and surprising take on the refill. The coffee was delicious. We also shared a Left Bank pasterie (strawberry jam filled scone). Get one, its worth the calories.Seating is a little bit sparse, but we managed to find an open table for two. Im going to stick with my less desirable home coffee for daily use, but look forward to coming back here again soon.
They do it right with a finely crafted macchiato and beautiful presentation of soda back on a small bamboo tray. Bright, airy, cool breeze, super nice baristas. Gorgeous pastries & cronuts!! A new local fav
Solid roaster thats expanding into the Seattle market. Probably the best coffee in west seattle.
Love love love this space, another great job done by Olympia Coffee Roasters ❤️
Always good coffees and the tastiest chai and the friendliest baristas
I had an Oat Milk Latté and they have multiple GF pastry options at the Olympia location. The almond cake was delightful.
Best coffee in town, great atmosphere and the cronuts are out of this world.
My go to for home espresso. Big Truck all the way!
Served some coffee with something rancid in it. Wife and I both felt ill
Fantastic lattes every time
Best coffee around.
Always a treat!
Clean, small space serving wonderful coffee
