First time here and was impressed by their no tip policy. Gourmet coffee, fresh and pure. The staff was friendly. I enjoyed the sunshine through bright windows and nice view of the surrounding areas.

Espresso at this location is in my top 3 best third wave espresso coffee drinks in Seattle, their combination of beans, machine, their shot profile and the good baristas they have make it stand out. The indoor is also beautifully designed.

Their coffee is delicious and well priced. They even have a menu so you can order something to go with your coffee. The freshly baked bread, biscuits, and cakes were all tasty and reasonably priced. Although the space is small, it can host a large group. A must-see attraction!

They have very good lattes! They carry my favorite type of oat milk which imo greatly improves the taste. Their seating area is open again and is super cute and the baristas are always friendly. Yeah the coffee is a little expensive because they pay their workers a living wage and don’t do tips, but I normally tip $1 at other places and so the price works out to be the same.

Id say Cascade is vibes. I tried a latte for the first time here (I know right coffee virgin). Anyway it was pretty good. But the real deal is the ravioli pistachio pastry thing that I got. That was good, good.

Authentic coffee place in South Lake Union. Its a branch of Seattle coffee works, downtown. We had Latte, Cappuccino and Harvest bread and everything was delicious. Good place to have conversations with coffee.

Great place to get coffee, probably the best in the SLU area. The staff is very knowledgeable, and always willing to chat about coffee or offer recommendations. They have a good rotation of single origins, with multiple coffee brewing options at the slow bar (even a siphon brewing option)! Their espresso drinks are also delicious, and you can even get some of their single origins on espresso.

Cascade has awesome coffee. Since they are closed due to COVID-19, I ordered freshly roasted coffee beans on their website. If you order two packs, you get free delivery. The delivery was super timely. After a week, I received e-mail on how the coffee was. Obviously, it is amazing. I asked a few questions about the coffee and how to keep it fresh, and I received a page long response. This is amazing, and I absolutely wish them the best during the hard times.

So beautiful place. The coffee is excellent. I always order an espresso here and it tastes so good. The staff is professional and helpful. I would also recommend to buy the coffee beans here, if you brew coffee at home. I prefer Ethiopia and Guatemala single origins, but their espresso blend “Space” also tastes great. In general, Seattle artisan roasters are much better, than famous Starbucks. Highly recommend Seattle coffee works.

Pretty good coffee place. I bump it up because they offer a lavender latte in addition to most traditional coffees. They also have a pretty good ham and cheese croissant. The store itself is nice, but not super cozy or inviting. The staff is nice, but more transactional. Not as friendly as a lot of other baristas around.

I love this cafe! This is one of my favorite (if not the favorite) place I stop and get coffee (always whatever seasonal latte is on deck) on the way to work in the morning. Especially love the ambiance, kombucha on tap, snacks, and kind staff members.

There is something to be said about things that are new. So often the gloss and freshness means so little and youre left with very little substance. Cascade is new, its bright and shiny, has a touch of style to it and yet seems unlikely to fade as time passes, if only for how damn nice everyone who works there is. So go, have a visit and see for yourself what a good cup of coffee tastes like in the heart of Amazon land.

One of the best coffee places in Seattle according to me. The baristas are very friendly. They have different options to sit, whether you want to relax on a couch or sit up straight in a chair and work. I like their coffee as well as draft beer. Weve spent many a hours chatting and sipping coffee at this place in between work.

This is a fairly decent coffee place in the area. Nice staff and casual seating. Coffee quality is good overall. If youre into syrup flavors, they have only a few of them (vanilla, hazelnut, caramel). Food options are pretty limited as well. Id definitely recommend going here over the Starbucks coffee place for coffee but for snacks you may be out of luck. Enjoy!

Loved my experience here on a cold, cloudy afternoon. The bariasta was knowledgeable in the coffee offerings as well as the best brew method. He was spot on! I am a consistent fan of the coffee beans they have in supply. They vary from typical Ethiopian to a bit more unique Bali. The decor was tasteful - a very typical modern look with white wash walls and northwestern wood table tops. The water situation was a bit lacking as it was out for most of my visit, but nothing too disheartening.

The quality of the roast here is top notch, so you can safely expect a great cup of coffee. The design is really cool, very chic modern hipster feel with lots of light - kind of Joanna Gaines feel. The service is super friendly and they seem to enjoy working there, which makes the whole vibe feel more positive. Great location if youre in the REI / Amazon area. Add it to your map! Ill be back.

I tried a bunch of coffee shops in this neighborhood while visiting a friend, and this was easily my favorite. It was one of two coffee shops which gave me two options of brewed drip coffees including a single origin, and consistently had the coffee that I preferred (lighter roasts, citrusy in flavor).

Yet another wonderful, cozy space by the awesome crew who brought us Seattle Coffee Works, Ballard Coffee Works, and Capitol Coffee Works. Hands down the most obsessive but approachable baristas in Seattle. Great people, and coffee the way it should be: bought directly from farmers for fair prices, roasted and brewed to perfection.

The Grand Opening was awesome! The coffee tastes pretty standard (not in a bad way) but its what you can expect from a Seattle third wave coffee shop. What really shines here is the customer service and the atmosphere. Bustling from Amazon employees and SLU residents, the little shop doesnt feel overwhelmed but inviting. Large industrial windows and wooden details keep the space feeling open and modern. The staff are some of the nicest around! Worth checking out no matter what part of the city youre coming from.

Ive been frequenting Seattle Coffee Works (and Ballard, Capitol Hill, and now Cascade) for years. The owner, Sebastian, was in the store more often in the early days and was able to explain the difference between the various beans he sourced from all over the world. After a bit of experimentation at the Slow Bar I determined that I prefer East African beans, grown at high altitude, lightly roasted. They sell coffee tins to store your beans in that enable them to keep and reuse the coffee bags. They save money on bags which allows them to offer a discount plus a free drink. I occasionally purchase beans from other shops but even with all the fabulous coffee shops and roasters in Seattle, its rare that the whole experience comes close to Cascade (Seattle/Ballard/Capitol Hill) Coffee Works. Thank you Sebastian for showing me that there is better coffee in the world than Foldgers brewed in a percolator. (That nasty swill is what I grew up with. No more!)

The service was terrible. We ordered slow bar, which they interpret as they will start making when there is no line. After 10 minutes they had not even started to make our drink. Barista thought we were crazy for thinking that it was first come first serve. Was extremely rude and argumentative. Will never return.
