I had a great experience at Fresh Flours. First of all it feels warm, not only does the east facing bakery get lots of sunshine during the morning, but also the staff is friendly, genuine and helpful. Theyve got a variety of baked goods and the prices are very reasonable so I tried a few different items. Their butter croissant was good although not as flaky as I wished; my favorite is the green tea muffin with red bean paste. I dont usually like sweet stuff but this ones sweetness is quite subtle and I loved it. I also got a pithivier (delicious savory pastry) and a breakfast sandwich (packaged, nicely warmed up). There are several colorful small tables outside in the sun, as well as some well shaded seatings inside.Overall, this is a lovely bakery that I can see myself coming back whenever Im in the area.
Quick service, Super cheerful staff, Amazing pastries. I recommend their Pear Danish or Earl Grey Macaroons :)They have excellent healthy juice options and even have a cute little bowl of free dog treats at the front door for your furry friends too! 10/10.
The coffee is really good and it has a really nice neighborhood feeling. Too small to sit inside, but there are tables on the sidewalk.
Please go there and get their Twice Baked Pumpkin Croissant. Sooo good. They have some amazing baked goods, and I’d say their croissants are some of the best in Seattle. Good coffee selections (they typically have Stumptown on drip) and a variety of grab-and-go items, including breakfast sandwiches and a couple of vegan/Fieldroast wraps.
This is one of my favorite spots in Seattle. The roasted onion and swiss croissant changed my life. I love you, Fresh Flours.
I have been back in Seattle for three days, and each day Ive been back to Fresh Flours. Great drip coffee. Stunning pastries. I recommend the blueberry danish. The lemon curd is subtle and delicious. The barista recommended the basque cake and it was a real crowd pleaser. Really friendly service. Highly recommend.
Cute neighborhood bakery and coffeeshop. The twice baked almond chocolate croissants was delicious. I also enjoyed their cold brew and drip coffee.
I found the staff a little bit cold - they were a little weird about giving me time to think about my order and look at the pastry case, and didn’t say anything to me when my drink was ready, just set it on the counter in front of me. It was a normal, drinkable espresso.I liked that they asked dark/medium/light roast when I was initially going to order a brewed coffee, but based on their equipment I didn’t think their brewed coffee would be great, so I switched to the espresso. The pastry selection is very cool. Interesting Japanese flavor combinations and other options.
Great coffee and croissant. Peak hour at 9 AM! Order online.
I love this bakery. The prices are good, the pastries variable and the taste is always spot on.The one thing you have to look out for is that their selection seems to vary quite a bit by time and day. So, I advise you to keep in mind that going can be a bit of a gamble. They always seem to have their macarons though, and they are very good!
Love stopping here when on phinney ridge. Great coffee and eats.
This older location has great coffee but the pastry selection at this older store lacks a lot compared to their other locations.
A wonderful, warm, and friendly neighborhood bakery with a great selection of boutique pastries and excellent morning food choices. Staff is absolutely friendly and made one of the better dirty chies Ive had in quite some time. Highly recommended.
Im obsessed. I spent the morning here reading and waiting for friends. The drinks are great and the baked goods are delicious! Friendly staff, too! I wish I lived closer. Id become a regular!
Fresh Flours’ pastries are excellent. Today I chose the gallette—croissant dough baked with a fruit filling. Iced cold brew to accompany.
Delicious coffee, pastries, and other light food options.
Slightly less than a 5 because I really liked the twice baked chocolate almond croissant. The green tea and Azuki red bean muffin was just okay though
Pricey, but good. First time there. Good quality coffee, good customer service and great pastries. For me, this place would be a once in a while splurge....
Nice little corner coffee shop with pastries.
I had the onion and cheese pastry which was fantastic. My boyfriend enjoyed his field burrito and said the cold brew was exceptional. There were a slew of other pastries we were interested in trying so Fresh Flours will get a repeat visit from us.
Bought a coffee cake and a green tea muffin. Both are delicious. Friendly staff, we will be back!
I wanna give this spot more stars because the pastries are tasty but after several visits where each time the same staffer puts off vibes that’s it’s inconvenient for us to be there to order drinks and pastries...The first time I figured he was having a bad day, 2nd time I was thinking maybe he isn’t the friendly type, and today after my 4th visit I wished there was another bakery nearby so we had another option for our weekend walks.
Delicious. I really recommend the cinnamon roll, the lemon cream is the best part. The place has a surprising amount of traditional Japanese flavors with mocha and red bean options. The green tea and white choc muffin was light, moist and fluffy with strong tea flavors coming through. The atmosphere is really nice. Can see why locals come here a lot. Staff is real friendly. Furnishing could do with some work because it looks a little messy in the back. If you come early in the morning to go to the zoo, its about a two minute walk away from the Bear Parking lot. They use an iPad esque payment system which accepts card and cash. On the front door there is a sign that encourages services dogs only, but it seems like if you are a regular and your dogs behave well enough they are allowed to walk in for a bit. Passed the threshold of the entry way you are treated with the vibrant yellow that coats the front section. Glassed off piles of freshly baked pastries next to a miniature open fridge with sandwiches and burritos tease the Interest. Next to the cashier you here the coffee machine busily pumping out caffeinated water.
A good latte and excellent croissants!
Excellent coffee and an amazing selection of Japanese flavors in their baked goods. The red bean croissant was delicious!
Super cute shop, lots of fun pastries and snacks. Their vanilla latte is a bit too sweet for me, but I prefer them light on the syrup
How many bakeries in Seattle have an azuki bean croissant? Their basque cake, pear danish and muffins are also quite delicious. I wanted to buy the gluten-free banana cake but it was touching non-gluten free pastries so I would have preferred them to be packaged separately. I love the matcha lattes here and the cafe is so close to the zoo it makes an easy stop for treats on the way. There is also a big playground within walking distance too.
Came here for breakfast. Ordered a latte and a breakfast sandwich. The sandwich was pre-made, they took it out of the wrap and heated up after you order. I have no problem with premade sandwich, however, they heat it up with arugula inside. The arugula came out all soft and droopy, which didnt taste good. On top of it, the egg is dry/hard and flavor is bland.I would not order the breakfast sandwich again. Instead, I will simply just chose something from their fresh pastry section. They have good selection and tasty fresh pastry. Oh...and the coffee is not bad either.
One of our favorite places in the area to grab a delicious pastry and coffee. Everything tastes so fresh and the staff is super friendly.
Our pandemic go-to bakery. They have kept their 6 AM opening time (awesome). Good selection of pastries (made locally) and full coffee service. Nice that they have recently added socially-distanced seating outside. Super nice staff who put real effort in keeping things safe.
Cinnamon rolls are to die for
This cafe is lovely, very seattle, kinda hipstery, its a good time. They draw little hearts on the cups of coffee and also have excellent pastries. Honestly one of my favorite spots in the area.
Excellent pastries & excellent coffee.
Reliable shop to get a great coffee! Good pastry selection also.
Great tea and coffee. Fabulous baked goods. I had a mini quiche which was also delectable. I love that you can get a pot of tea to sit and enjoy it. We stayed there until closing, and got a happy hour treat of reduced prices just before closing.
Probably the best coffee house around, staff are BEYOND nice and professional I should tip better! I cant say enough good things about this place EXCEPT the neighborhood is chock full of kids karens and kens so wear a mask or they will burst into years.
I definitely come here most days for my coffee fix. The staff are all incredibly personable. Everyone has made me feel welcome, it has a very neighbor-centered vibe. Coffee selection rotates and is pretty good. Of course course the pastries arrived absolutely gorgeous. Lots of gluten free options too.
Good teas -- I dont drink coffee. Pastries are pretty good also; not the cheapest though.
Good coffee, delightful onion and Swiss croissant, wonderful service. Good tunes, too
Really good, hip feeling place. Ill definitely be back. Their coffee cake is the best Ive had in the city
If you’re a regular they give you a card. With such a card anything can be accomplished.
Good quality coffee and loose leaf teas paired with in house and other locally made baked goods. A fair amount of seating and easy to find. Only con, I wish it was a bit of a quieter space.
I am never disappointed. They are one of the best bakeries in Seattle. I have had about half their menu and everything was good. The pastries are light and flavorful and their coffee is great too. I highly recommend.
Best mochas and their pastries are mouthwatering.
Good variety of different pastries, cakes and savoury food. There were two drip coffee options both seemed fresh. Not over brewed. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Very nice atmosphere in the entire place. Spacious seating and a nice environment to sit in and enjoy the coffee.
Always buy too many from here. They have devilish dangerous yummy goodies.
Love this neighborhood pastry shop! Kind people work there too! :)
Great coffee and a variety of excellent pastries. Solid coffee shop to get you through the day.
Delicious pastries, both sweet and savory types. The coffee was excellent too. Nice workers.
The pastries are pretty good. They have lots of place to sit and work. Also many different pastry options. The coffee is average. They do have a restroom, outdoor seating area and a bike rack right outside.
Delicious baked goods, great coffee, and friendly service. Been here a few times, and will continue to go. Twice baked chocolate croissant is fantastic!
Surprisingly cheap for the neighborhood. Kind of a more traditional cookies and coffee cake vibe as opposed to the highbrow fare of Celine or Coyles
Nice folks, delicious twice baked chocolate almond croissant.
Great neighborhood spot. Delicious coffee quick. Amazing pastries. You will be glad you stopped here. Right across from the zoo.
Amazing pastries! Our go-to breakfast place.
Good coffee and nosh!Proper distancing in effect.
Perhaps the best bakery in all of Seattle. The barista tells me they bake for all 4 stores in West Seattle, starting at 2AM. They are baker-artists.I would post a picture of the pastry, but I ate it. Next time. The coffee is great too. I would not be here is the coffee were less than perfect.
Pretty good! Japanese-American owned bakery with good coffee. Olympia was on drip, Stumptown Hairbender was drip and espresso day of visit. Pastries are well made and so was the coffee. Only complaint was the breakfast burrito was pretty cold in the middle, even with five minutes in the oven. Still tasted good though.
Friendly service and delicious looking pastries. I only wish they had more vegan options.
My favorite bakery in Seattle :) The quiche here is flawless, and the coffee is great as well. The staff are always extremely friendly, and the space/area is quite beautiful. Perfect place to do a bit of work, or have a coffee/pastry with a friend.
Love this place. Incredibly nice staff, variety of delicious pastries and cakes, and reasonable prices. I left Seattle and miss this bakery now, and I encourage everyone in the city to visit it.
I have been coming to this location for year and will keep coming back as long as they are around. The best ham and cheese croissant Ive found(and I judge harshly). The coffee is always on point and the staff are the friendliest. They remember your name and your usual items. They are always helpful and extremely accommodating if they made a goof. If they arent to busy, they usually brighten up my day with some thought provoking questions or friendly banter. Best coffee in the hood. A++
Come here almost everyday to get my coffee and pastries. The quality of the coffee and the pastries are top notch. service is great too!
Amazingly delicious.
I basically get one thing here: the chocolate covered almond croissant. Delicious. Lots of almonds, light & crispy layers, & tastes incredible! Great stop, to get a tasty pastry & coffee, just before a morning visit to Woodland Park Zoo (west entrance) just down the street. I never pass on a visit to FF when in the neighborhood...neither should you!
Best coffee in seattle. Coffee has lots of flavor and is not burnt! Majority of places burn the coffee beans. Not here! Pastries and breakfast sandwiches are amazing too!
One of the best green tea lattes on the ridge.
This is a great pastry and coffee shop. The pastry was high quality and the coffee was good too. It was a great place to get a light breakfast before heading to the Woodland Park Zoo.
Recommended to me by a friend for having the best croissant. After trying their almond croissant I think it was okay, coffee is also good but neither is wow. Very friendly people though so I would go back again mainly for that.
Consistently good coffee! Small bites, pastries good as well
My favorite place to get a coffee and croissant, and telework in the morning. The staff is literally the nicest and most energetic bunch of people you will ever meet in your life. Ample seating inside and out. They also have some good locally made sandwiches, salads, and wraps.
Lovely coffee shop with some gluten free goodies to go with my coffee.
This place has some of the most DELICIOUS pastries I have ever had. Seriously. The flakiest croissants, savory meat pies and tarts that are as aesthetically pleasing as they are flavorful. One bite and youll find yourself closing your eyes and saying Oh my go-o-o-o-d... So good! I would also recommend the macaroons. Theyre pretty intense.
Great cafe in Phinney! The coffee is good, pastries are amazing, and the atmosphere is very cozy. Have quickly become a regular now that I am living in the neighborhood!
They serve Stumptown coffee and delicious pastries that have creative uses of green tea, red beans, cardamom, etc. Their Basque cakes are amazing and not too sweet, but have greatly limited availability.
Nice bakery, inviting atmosphere, with indoor and outdoor seating available. Serving Stumptown coffee, service was quick and friendly. One downside for me was that they do not have high-chairs for the little ones.
Great food and coffee. But they never clean their toaster ovens — so any heated pastries come served with crumbs and residue from 1,000 prior customers’ breakfasts — smelling and tasting like old toaster oven.
This place has an amazing selection of beautiful pastries. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly. I had a pretty good latte here too. Id definitely check this place out of you are in the area!
Super yummy bakery with great selection of crossants and other pastries. Today I had the double baked almond and chocolate croissant. Man cannot live on bread alone, but you might want to try here before before making an informed decision.
Best pastries and coffee near the zoo hands down. Good selection of everything you could want plus all the coffee grounds you could want for your garden. Service is always great as well!
A nice little coffee shop with good internet and excellent coffee. A large table if you have a big group. The pastries looked great too but didnt have the money to try them sadly. $.55 drip coffee refills a plus
Nice coffee shop with friendly staff and a killer green tea latte. Worked here for a bit and was a good location with street parking and not extremely distracting.
Great pastries. Most of the staff is friendly. Some of the other customers are the only reason I knocked off a star. On almost all of my visits, there was someone oblivious and entitled with a dog putting his paws on the counter or children pushing without parental acknowledgement.
Nice place. I had a London Fog and an Everything Cretzel (croissant pretzel). Both were good and as expected.A friend had a tea that turned out to be a hair too acidic for half-and-half (it started to curdle), so the barista gave her something else free of charge.Daughter had a Rooibos, which the barista asked if I wanted a little space for cold water to chill after itd steeped.Good experience overall.
I like the coffee here, better than Starbucks. The metcha pond cake is great too.
Friendly staff, good WiFi, great croissants and coffee. Really good spot to hang for an hour while morning traffic eases.
This is an amazing little local Cafe, with delicious coffees and incredible baked items ~ plus very kind and friendly staff. Love 💖
This is my new favorite coffee shop/bakery in Seattle. Great energy, really tasty and unique pastries and super friendly staff!!
Tasty coffee and light foods
Very good gluten free pastries!
Our favorite place for insanely good pastries and coffee.
I want to say that my boyfriend and I didnt book a few days in Seattle while we were in the PNW just because of this coffee shop, but that would be a lie. We had come here back in November of 2017 and fell in love with their pastries, the coffee, and of course, the people. The cheese danish is A.MAZ.ING. Get a couple and you wont regret it.
