I was extremely excited to check this place out because I love ice cream sandwiches. I was hoping for the cookies to be warm, soft, freshly out of the oven. They were cold, ordinary cookies. The ice cream was also nothing special.

Skip it.Hoped for really good ice cream, since it looked great on pics, and its handcrafted and all the good stuff. Overall ice cream is very bad. Pistachio tasted like artificial flavored (should have been clear from neon green color), same was for banana fudge (just overpowering taste of artificial banana flavor). Yeah pretty much any other ice cream in mission is order of magnitude better.

Why have you been holding out on us Cali? thanks to this I am never going back.Once you make it to the ordering station you are greeted by a huge selection of ice cream options which I was most surprised by. Not just vanilla but things like lemon and blueberry or hazelnut. There are also a lot of cookie options and toppings so its like a cold stone but for ice cream sandwiches.The final kicker and why its 5 stars without a doubt is everything is so cheap. For less that 5 bucks you get a huge ice cream sandwich that is beyond delicious . I would recommend getting your cookie warm when they ask which type you want. Its all so good. Go here as soon as possible.

Heard this place was a must go to while in San Francisco but that it was also kind of expensive even for a San Francisco price and that the servings were small.That was true to an extent, but people failed to mention how incredible their ice cream was. The staff was very friendly and allowed sampling and from that I got the Ricanelas flavor because it was something new and interesting for me. I can definitely see why this was one of their more popular flavors.The location overall is a tiny shop, and there is very little seating so it is probably more worth it to just go out and walk around and possible hang out in Dolores Park!

Has a plant-based chocolate flavor which is not vegan?? It contains whey. Very misleading, dissapointing, and potentially dangerous for someone with dairy allergies. Had only two vegan options mango sorbet and mint chocolate chip.

Got the spiced cookie cream (plant based) but the soy flavor was a bit too strong

They got rid of the two best flavors that made them different from other places. They just have the basic flavors now.

The ice cream and cookies were good separately, but together it wasn’t enjoyable to eat. The cookie got hard and trying to bite it made my ice cream fall out the back into the bag. It tasted fantastic. It was very messy.

Get the taco, my only regret this night is that I didnt. You wont pick a bad offering, though! Often a line, but its worth a bit of a wait as they offer fun and unique creations.

I wish I had purchased a larger one. Excellent operation. Its worth a shot. Ice cream made at home with natural ingredients. The mango sorbet is delicious, and dark or white chocolate sauce can be added to the top.

Not the best cream experience. Ordered through the cream nation platform. Called the location because the payment wasnt confirmed yet. I asked when the order would be ready and was told 20 mins because they were busy. I arrived 5 mins after my call and there was no one in the location at all but 3 young employees doing absolutely nothing. Got my order only to discover the ice cream sandwich had already started melting. If I would have waiting the fill 20 mins for my order it would have been completely melted for a store that was busy.

We saw a number of shops selling ice cream... NO home-made ones. CREAM San Francisco was on top of the bill, really. Every flavor was great... you had to go and try your home-made ice cream.

It was good but not clean. They dont change gloves from what i observed & I literally watch the cashier grab my icecream sandwich by the side that wasnt in the wrapper. And i understand being tired and wanting to close up but atleast keep good customer service while doing it

Enjoyed my first experience. I was sad when I finished it lol. I ordered the blueberry cheesecake ice cream with butter sugar cookie. Perfect combo. Ice cream was thick and creamy & the soft yet crunchy Cookie was so good. Also would like to applaud the gentleman that helped Us because it took us a while to decide, being our first time and he was so patient,nice, and helpful. My gf also liked her coffee & rocky road ice cream with the choco dipped cone.

Had the salted caramel snickerdoodles ice cream sandwiches with colorful sprinkles. It was sweet but DELICIOUS. It’s always nice to be served cold ice cream with warm cookies!

(Read that, then consider this review.)I ordered the “build your own ice cream sandwich” combo with a variety of cookies, my favorite was the rainbow sprinkles. The ice cream was obviously homemade, and SO CREAMY. It wasn’t too sweet, even in between two sugar cookies with sprinkles.Highly recommend for a “stuck-inside pick-me up” or a nice treat after a long week!

A new dessert spot near my place. It did not disappoint!! I ordered the Matcha Monster sooo good! & huge! But I finished the entire thing. The cone is a chimney cake--soft & doughy, & made fresh. I will definitely come back to try other flavors like the Oreo or the smores.The customer service was also pleasant. Everyone was very welcoming & helpful.

Great atmosphere! Awesome customer service, ready friendly and hey know whats up. The was alright I mostly looking for to the desserts, it tasted sooo good. Creamy, light and not too overwhelming for your taste buds. Ill definitely come back even though I live across the bay bridge.

I usually visit Mondays for the malt special, but one day they were out of milk and couldnt make it. I offered to grab a gallon next door which they accepted and made my drink. I thought they would reimburse me or offer a discount but no, and they kept the milk to boot. So, I gave three stars since I willingly offered.

Ice cream sandwich melted immediately into the bowl before even getting a bite or picture. Basically a cookie with ice cream on the side at that point. Disappointing but the cookie tasted good

A bit of a flawed concept, serving hard cookies in a paper bag with ice cream; mine melted immediately and made a big mess and I tossed half of the ice cream. Basically ended up with a milk and cookies situation. Flavors of both were definitely good and I appreciate the creativity so sticking w/ four stars but would recommend a bowl at minimum, particularly for the price

After an afternoon of fun in the city, sushi for dinner in China town and an uber ride to see the painted ladies from the grassy knoll across the way to relax our legs and let dinner settle. We stumbled upon this ice cream shop and couldnt say no. There was a small line but it went reasonably fast. I ended up getting one of the ice cream sandwiches. It was delicious and very filling. I dont think I was able to finish the thing and ended up tossing the rest. Overall, it was a great stop to cure that sweet tooth. Cant wait to go back and try something different.

Omg! Seriously!? Made to order ice cream sandwiches! Wait, it gets better, the ice cream is sandwiched between you choice of brownies, cookies or DONUTS! Or a few other choices. They even have gluten free cookies (uh okay). If your like me and do a lot of aerobic type exercise or a teenage eating machine dive in! Although I confess I skip lunch and have this for dinner.

Yummy ice cream! I got the rotating flavors on the 5 sampler. I didnt love the lemon poppy seed. You can skip that one, also the eggnog flavored one. The must haves: the banana one, tea one, mint one (tastes like fresh mint not the artificial flavor), one that has these chunks of apple I think? Very yummy, the chocolate peanut butter is good too.

We move to San Francisco about nine years ago, but Ive been coming to this place way before that. I believe theyve been around for more than a a century. We love coming here for their ice cream. I wish they had a place to seat inside when ordering ice cream only.

VEGAN ICE CREAM SANDWICH! I was in heaven! The only downside is that I wish there were more vegan flavors of ice cream, but it’s a smaller section to begin with so I suppose I can’t be too greedy, haha. Plus, my sandwich literally broke within a minute of me eating it, but that’s probably my fault somehow. The mint choc chip and blueberry flavors were both very good.

Staff were nasty to my girlfriend just prior to closing because her 5 year old daughter didnt have a mask. More than happy to take my ice cream business elsewhere.

My family and I ordered several things from fentons from hot dogs to fish and chips. We ordered to pick up, which a quality service they do given it takes only 15 minutes to be ready. Having got there it took abit longer that we wanted to pay, but it was good enough.

Pretty dam good stuff. The cookie part is over the top for me but the high quality cream is great on its own. Definitely a fun vibe and worth giving a shot.

I liked that its opened till late - we were there after 1030pm. The mint ice cream is delicious. But tacos ice cream and waffles are sold out. I ordered a cone ice cream and you served in a cup, without being told no cones are available anymore. Wished the staff were better trained but the ice cream made up for it.

I probably should never go to this place ever again, but it was amazing and delicious. See the picture theres usually a line but it moves fast and its worth it.

What a glorious concept--personalized ice cream sandwiches! When we went the line was not long so it was nice to be able to sample a few flavors and make the right choice! The best part is you can get a half order so you are not eating two cookies and a scoop of ice cream. A little tip to feel less guilty! I got half of a double chocolate chip cookie with a half of white macadamia cookie and coffee ice cream. The cookies are warm and the ice cream is flavorful. Yum!

I cant walk past an ice cream store without walking in. So many options available here. I went with chocoholic ice cream, with chocolate cookie, marshmallows and choc chips. It was very tasty. The only negative would be that the marshmallows didnt taste fresh, but other than that it was divine. Id definitely recommend stopping by.

This is a dang good ice cream sandwich and priced just right. The ice cream tastes like it actually has cream and is free from preservatives and air. The cookies are superb as well. I could come here every night if my wife would let me but then my diabetes would sure be out of whack!

Although this place smells heavenly, I dont think its worth the hype. The ice cream and cookies are good, but there are so many options the most creative cookie-cream combos often never taste good. I know they have other treats as well, but Id stick to an ice cream sandwich if youre around.

Cream does not correctly process delivery orders. I ordered 18 cookies, they sent a cookie sandwich, and then insisted that that was my order. It was strange and disappointing. But they need to sort out their system before anyone should order.

CREAM is not a special place, its very standard and its very pricey for the amount of ice cream they serve to you. I would rather go to Humphrey Slocombe or to Garden Creamery, since they actually have inventive and delicious flavors there. CREAM should be renamed for their warm, soft cookies and named COOKIES instead.

Wowza! I got an ice cream taco and it was pretty good. My only complaint about it was that the waffle cone taco shell was cinnamon flavored. Not what I was expecting. The ice cream was great and even with a line the wait was only 2 minutes. Great flow and service!

Went in on a Saturday night around 11 and there wasnt much of a line. My recommendation - get two different types of cookie and if youre going for a topping, get the hot fudge. Theyll burrow that hot chocolatey deliciousness in the center of your ice cream (like a B&J core, if you keep up with that sort of thing), and then slather it on the cookies too. Was glad the wait wasnt long, after having experienced Apple store lines at the CREAM in Palo Alto. Good place to bring a large group for easy, inexpensive, and satisfying dessert.

I have been waiting for Cream to come to SF for too long! I was thrilled it came to one of the best foodie areas too! The servers are great too, they really go above and beyond suggesting good combos and extras! I get excited everytime I head their way!
