Outstanding Belgium Double IPA, excellent Pork Belly Mac and Cheese and a great place to hang out; a brewery dedicated to those who wore the Green Beret. It’s obvious to those who have served in or alongside those who earned the Special Forces “Long Tab” these proprietors have been there done that. Thank you for serving our Nation and now providing awesome Class One and Six supplies!

Great selection of German and Belgian beers. Got the sausage which was on the best pretzel bun of my life! Very well put together brewery with a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Awesome place for those who have served as or with our Special Forces, great for those who have served in the military, and good for those who just love great ales/beer. Superior atmosphere; makes me happy to remember all the units who have “been there done that”. Only recommendation I have is to build one on the Northside so I don’t have to drive so far. The Smoked Pork Belly Mac & Cheese is only available on the weekends, so make it a Saturday or Sunday. Job well done A-Team, we will be back for the excellent food and adult beverages!

If you like delicious German/Belgian style beers, stop by; try their recently released festbier; honestly reminds me of Germany. They also make really tasty food.Try their loaded Bavarian pretzel but make sure you share! Its more than enough for two.

Longtab is a locally and veteran owned brewery on a side of San Antonio that really needed a brewery. The beers are fine and the food is fine, but the real standout is the atmosphere. It is the most macho looking and feeling brewery I have ever been to. The walls are lined with flags, photos of military units, and hard rock blasts through the speakers. You can find better beer and food around town, but you cant find anything resembling their tap room atmosphere.

This seemingly ‘hole in the wall’ place offers a great chill, down to earth atmosphere. They offer a wide variety of food and drink so you’re bound to find something for everyone. We went during the afternoon after a morning at sea world, the kids enjoyed playing uno and the waitress was super friendly and offered suggestions when we asked.We’re definitely adding this to our list of places to go regularly

As 5 stars as it gets.Great theme and atmosphere and some of the best food and libations you can get.We had the Lamb Empanadas and Loaded Bavarian Pretzel. Both were excellent, but the bid goes to the Pretzel. There was something exceptional about it. Light and doughy inside, firm on the outside and wonderfully flavored. Plus the sausage, red cabbage, and corned beef were delicious and excellent accompaniment.For beer I tried the V42 dubbel Belgian and the Devils Brigade German altbier. Both were excellent. The V42 has that distinct Belgian beer flavor that has a hint of banana and full bodied flavor. The Brigade was a maltier flavor and a little lighter and was my overall favorite.Make your way to Longtab at your earliest convenience, you will be glad you did.

Excellent food and beer. Nice laid back atmosphere. Ive tried the pork nachos, curry sausage, and giant pretzel thus far. All were excellent. The pork belly in the nachos was absolutely amazing. Id definitely recommend .

What a great find in San Antonio! My husband and I stopped in after I randomly came across Longtab Brewing Company while driving past. We realized that the brewery is run by veterans and honors the history and legacy of the Special Forces. As a veteran, it is important to me to support well run veteran owned and operated businesses; Longtab Brewing Company is just that!Incredible food, incredible beer, and incredible service. We had help from one of the employees to pick out beers and appreciated her advice. From the time we stepped inside to the time that we left, we absolutely loved this brewery. Happy to have such a exceptional place to sit down, relax, and enjoy.

This hidden (no really, you can’t drive too fast or you’ll miss it) gem is clean, welcoming, and fun! The nachos were so phenomenal that I actually finished them all! A great place to catch up with friends safely. I’ll have to come back for the coffee I’ve heard such good things about!

We have gone to alot of breweries is San Antonio and they are all great BUT longtab has something special. Their beers are really really solid and the food is amazing. Definitely will go again. So good. Yall have to go if you havent.

Had a couple pints of beer with a couple friends of mine the other day and it was fantastic! Their Oktoberfest specials (both beer and food) were delicious. I recommend the salted pretzel as an all the time favorite of mine. Great place to bring friends!

Ive been almost a dozen times. The food seems like its prepared by an actual chef. Always great presentation and taste. Beers are all unique and excellent, especially the OG and V42. Interior is very clean and well decorated, there is music but not so loud that you cant have a conversation.My only improve would be the hours. Theres been times Ive wanted to go but they close earlier than most bars.

If you want bar food or an experience you can get literally anywhere else, theres no need to continue reading. Longtab has an ever-changing beer AND food menu that never fails to disappoint (or leave me desperately wondering if/when each delicious item will make a return). the beers are original, crisp, and full of distinguishable flavor, and the eats are creative, satisfying, and full of variety. this business is veteran-owned, and you can see and feel the integrity when you drink or dine in. Longtabs environment is cozy, kid and pet friendly, and has wonderful staff.

This place is great! The coffee is really good and smooth. I had the roasted lamb and cabbage empanadas, they are delicious and like nothing I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is relaxed and quiet, at least during the day.

I love micro-breweries and try to visit as many as I can. Longtab is honestly the best brewery I’ve been to. Every beer I have tried from them has been good. They routinely update their beer menu with new beers. Food is pretty solid and decently priced. The pretzel is my favorite to snack on while drinking.You really can’t go wrong with any beer from Longtab. They have a large enough selection to fit any preference.

Long list of great brews. The food was tasty, they have happy hour and are dog friendly. We will definitely return.

I dont review restaurants or businesses very often but when I do its because I must and the business deserves a great or awful rating. Longtab was a great experience, from the food to the service I enjoyed every minute. I can definitely recommend Longtabs to family and friends with confidence. The price is reasonable for the food and service you receive hands down!

Unlike any Bar or Brewery; Longtab is truly something else. EXCELLENT. If youre a former SOF professional, AD/retired military, military spouse or not, this is definitely worth the long drive from anywhere in Central Texas.

Very disappointing 😕We frequently have stopped in for appetizers and a good brew. This time Nick the manager seemed to be bothered by meaningless Tom Foolery! Picks up our drink from the table and walks away. Needless to say that was the LAST TIME we stop at LONGTAB! There are many different ways to do things when you are in the hospitality industry. And yes, you have the right to refuse service. The CONSUMER also has rights! Theres plenty of other places that will gladly take my money. And for great service we will tip them very well. Here us a tip for you Nick. Next time think before you react! You keep that up and you will cause the owners loss of business!

Over the last 10 years, small breweries have popped up all over our nation. Longtab is unique in the quality beer on the menu for a small startup... Every beer is well balanced and guaranteed to put a huge smile on your face when you have that first sip. Put this on top of its Veteran owned and operated business model.. wow... its a diamond in the rough. I love this place and will be visiting frequently. 20 out of 5 star review. Nice vibe and a good selection of brews. Most seating is indoors but there are a couple tables out front, tho your view is the street. In addition they offer some seriously good bar food!

Cozy. Great beer. Decent cubano. Schwab and merch... Dope. Also have coffee and pop tarts if thats your thing. They no longer have their Irish red Wine Pari I believe it was called. By far was my fave. Have hands down the best merch selection in town compared to other breweries, though its a little pricey. Server was a knockout.

It was my third time being here, atmosphere and music were great. Tried the food for the first time and the Cuban sandwich as well as the soup of the day was amazing! Red Empire and the Tripel are definitely my go to’s. Hannah as well as Nick and Brittany are very welcoming and knowledgeable on all the variety of beer the brewery has to offer. I’ll definitely be returning.

First time here and we were so impressed! We had the Bavarian Pretzel...OMG and the beer cheese! I loved the Glorious Amateur malty ale, not hoppy, a little roasted. He had 3 different beers and couldnt decide his favorite, loved all three of them. Saw short ribs delivered to a table nearby...wow... will have to try that next time. Patriotic theme, really good service. We will be back and bring friends!

Hannah our current server just plain rude and argumentative. She definitely ruined my friends 2nd time and my 1st time experience here at Longtab. So my friend asked if there was any chance if the music could change to something heavier. Mind you that we arrived an hour and a half prior to closing so it wasnt packed with people so we thought maybe by the off chance they would honor our request. She replied with Why do you keep asking? You asked that the last time you were here. Why dont you try to apply and get a job here and work a 10-12 hour shift and see if you can get the music changed. Instead of replying in a more professional manner such as Unfortunately sir, we have to keep the current music playlist per the owner. But I remember you from last time and I can bring it up to the owner again. Will NOT be coming back and supporting this business. Longtab customer service needs some working on but the food and beer was good.

Longtab brewing was nothing less than stellar, the staff was warm and welcoming. The food was good and the beers were flavorful with a nice variety. The ambiance was warm, a place you could go to and relax while sharing an afternoon or evening with friends. The beer selection alone is enough to start a conversation as to understand the meaning of the name. Top it off with the fact that Longtab gives back to SF charities and stands ready to assist families of the fallen, well they’ve earned my business, and I will pass their name on to friends and family.-DOL

Really good beers here. Had a flight and enjoyed them all. Their mexican beer is a super unique thing to see in a microbrewery, and it was fantastic. Well be back, best beers in San Antonio weve found yet.

In a peculiar location (not really a big deal) but could be a good thing as it’s away from large crowds of shoppers or general traffic. Parking lot was decent. Brewery was very clean and organized. Decent prices. Really like that it’s local and veteran owned. Very important during this time to support these type of businesses. Tried the breacherbier and it was pretty darn good. The pork sliders were well-presented and delicious. Staff was super friendly and helpful. What I really love is how businesses such as these honor those who served with unique brews and create an atmosphere for those who share the same respect for them. It’s a bit of a niche in today’s market (I.e. BRCC). I highly recommend at the very least giving this place a try. I will be back again with friends and family.

Definitely a hidden gem as far as brewpubs in San Antonio go. I tried all three of the beers that were on tap and had an espresso. The espresso was too hot but still better than most places in san antonio so Id order it again for sure. The beers were good but nothing really was a stand out at this point. However, they have some really cool sounding beers in the works and I am eager to come back and try them when they are ready. Being that they just opened I understand they are still working out their system, so I would like to offer some constructive criticism. This would have easily been a four star experience if they worked out the service counter a bit better. It seems the current system is you order at the counter and they will bring you the beer when they get around to it. Our first order we waited about 5 minutes and only received 2 of our 3 beers, after we realized they definitely had forgotten about it we had to ask for it. After ordering our second round we waited another 7-10 minutes, watching as the two gentleman on staff used their phones. When we asked for our beers one of them told us that they would get to it but they were busy helping other customers. Mind you Im sitting next to them and can see that there were no customers being helped at that time or for a few minutes before I asked. I think he immediately realized the truth of it and apologized and got us our beers right then. Finally when we went to pay our tabs they put the beers on the wrong tickets. So all in all this place would easily get 4 stars if they worked out the kinks in their service. Its a great looking tap room and Im hopeful this place is successful as San Antonio needs more places like this.

Beer was good, and the atmosphere was really cool, but the service was kind of interesting, and not in a good way. My friends and I went in and ordered our beers and were told to go sit down and they would bring them to us. Normally you order a beer and they give you the beer, but not here. Kind of weird for a bar/brewery, but not too crazy yet. Once we sat down we waited for over five mintues and then asked for the beers. It seemed like they had forgotten them. For the second round we once again ordered at the bar and sat down. We then saw both employees lean against the counter while we were waiting for our beers (one was on his phone, and the other looked like he was messing with a portable credit card reader). One of the guys eventually came out and starting cleaning tables, so I asked him where our beers were (since it had been over 5 minutes and they werent busy or doing anything else). The guy said they were busy with other customers and that they have a different process there and the beers would be out soon,. As he was explaining this you could see a switch flip on (I think he realized we had eyes and could see there were not other customers), and he said You know what, why dont I grab your beers now. He came back with one beer for the three of us and walked away. The other guy eventually brought us the last two beers. Again good beer, super weird service. I know they just opened up, so they are sorting out the kinks, but it was quite a weird experience. It seemed like they were trying some unique system to maybe help when they get busy, but to be honest it was not very succesful when it was just us, so please just operate like a brewey normally does, or work on your communication. They have quite a few more beers that are coming out soon, and I really look forward to trying them, but really hope they work on service.TLDR: Beer was good, but service was extremely lacking. Still very new, so hoping they will get better. I am excited for their upcoming beers, so will go back hoping the service has improved. Hoping to be able to add more stars to this review in the future!
