I have been visiting Ridgewood Wine & Beer for the last several years, and I have to say everything about this business is top tier. Their selection is always broad enough to incorporate anyone’s tastes, their atmosphere is very welcoming, and their staff are always friendly. This is a place that anytime I have people visit from out of town I try and bring them to, because it truly exemplifies what a great business is. If you haven’t visited Ridgewood Wine & Beer yet I highly recommend that you do, you will not be disappointed.

Great beer & wine store. The staff is knowledgeable and the store is well laid out. My only complaint is their lack of a decent gluten free beer selection.

One of the best tap lists in the state. Excellent date night atmosphere. Good selection of bottles and cans to go. Extremely well curated selection of wine. Staff is extremely knowledgable and helpful.

Sub par customer service. Very small selection of expensive loose beers. They had beers that looked interesting but they only came in 4-6 packs and I dont want to spend 25 dollars on a 4 pack of beer I might not like.

Im not sure what the deal is with the people who work here. My friend and I have been here 3-4 times now to grab a drink. The people who work the bar area have no personality at all and the service it adequate at best. No eye contact, no asking what my preferences were or making suggestions, no eye contact.....just nothing. More like it was inconvenient for me to be there. They usually have a decent tap list but with all the other bottle shops and wine bars around this one goes to the bottom.

Im not sure why everyone who works here seems like I am bothering them by stopping by, I mean every time. Its so close to my house that I feel I should support them, but I always wonder why I did not go to Peace Street Market after I do.The selection is pretty good, but not the greatest as far as beer is concerned. Seems like some beer is priced on par with most other places, and other selections are at least a dollar more.Meh.

I get excellent customer service here. Dont expect the staff to be overly chatty but DO expect to get help with what youre looking for. I am no wine connoisseur, but I do know what my family buys in the grocery store. I can tell that to the staff here, and they will select something different from whats available in grocery stores AND better, too. They can stay within very reasonable price ranges, sometimes even better than grocery stores.If youre a connoisseur, youll be happy here too. The staff are knowledgeable in all levels of wine selection and taste. And I noticed more highly priced wines, too, if youre into that.Also a good place to shop for beer, though its been a while since Ive been beer shopping. I know very little about beer, and the staff can recommend something to choose as a gift. I just tell them what I know about the intended recipient, food preferences, etc.My go-to store for gifting! Makes for easy wrapping, too.

Probably the 3rd time I’ve been here. Each time The staff has just acted like I bothered them by walking into the building. The blonde guy wasn’t as bad as his coworker. The other guy acted like it was a bother to give me a sample.

Service was eh- had some questions about the local beers and felt like they just werent really offering any insight or taking the time - I like local bottle shops because its usually a better service experience than the TWs but just didnt have that experience here. Its too bad because we need more local bottle shops

Found this store last night while on a mission to Whole Foods for ingredients for a Tapas Dinner. Thought Id stop by and see what wine they would recommend for Sangria as well as a nice Spanish red for dinner. I was almost immediately asked if I needed help and when I explained my needs, the gentleman who helped me said the best wine for Sangria was fruity and cheap. He found me a bottle for $7.99 and made me promise to drink a glass first, cause it was a good wine overall. Then he showed me a staff favorite Spanish red for $9.99. Sold! Less than $20.00 for a couple of good bottles of wine (I fulfilled my promise by the way and the Sangria wine was quite tasty before the addition of fruit). I will go out of my way to go back here because the store was all about introducing me to the right wines for my needs. So I hereby publicly declare that Ridgewood Wine and Beer Co. is my go to wine store. Now I have to try the beer selection!
