This place ran my credit, which had an effect on my credit score and I have good credit, then they failed to contact me at all. When me and my husband went to the place they instantly told us they sold they car and had nothing available. They treated us as if we didnt have the money. The white men at this dealership obviously did not want to sell us a car. I only wish I had never submitted an application to them to save myself the points on my credit score.

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE.. purchased a car from here in march my registration had expired and they still haven’t processed it.. the car brakes was low and it had dirty engine oil.. on top of that like the other lady said they will give you the car without final bank approval just to get your down payment .. it will take them weeks to get you approved and the bank will ask for unnecessary documentation such as your property deeds. the owner will threaten you to bring the car back and he will not refund your down payment.

I recently purchased a car from here. They were a nightmare from the start. When we first went in, they sped us through the whole process. I originally included support payments as one of my sources of income but then decided against it as the payments were under $100 and were so old, I no longer had the paperwork. They decided to include the source of income anyways even though I told them not to. I got the loan approved, took the car home and was told to turn in paperwork for the support. I told them I didnt have it as I did before and they told me I had to return my car. If I didnt return they would charge me to tow it. Also, I was informed I that the money I put down $1500 would not fully be refunded to me since I had it for a week...they would deduct money for everyday that I had it as if it were a rental. After being given the run around from South Philly Auto, I spoke to the finance company and they said I would be able to screenshot my bank statements and continue with the loan. Two months later, the car began messing up. The brake pedal became impossible to press to the point where I was going 20mph in center city with my foot on the brakes and still had to press the emergency brake in order not to coast through a light. My husband called the dealership for them to fix it because we had a warranty with them. They referred us to his mechanic to fix the issue. Their personal mechanic said it was an easy fix but it was something that was already on the brink of occurring before we purchased the car. Now the dealership wants us to pay $100 deductible to fix the issue. Lets be clear, $100 is not a lot. However, because this was something that was wrong with the car before we purchased it, I feel this is not $100 that I should be spending. I called the dealership and got absolutely no results. They have nasty, entitled, arrogant attitudes regarding anything that goes wrong on their part. If someone buys a car and spends thousands of dollars and has an issue with the car that already existed before you took the car off the lot, the very least that can be done is to cover all costs. I spoke to one of the salesmen at the dealership and he told me to remember that I purchased a 2009 as if to say that I should expect to have issues. But if Im spending thousands of dollars, Im sorry, I dont expect anything to go wrong with it, unless its something that I have done. In short, do not waste your time with these jerks...

BUYER BEWARE. I had many similar issues to those posted. I purchased a truck from them and there was an issue with the registration which caused me to receive a ticket. The warranty is a joke! In one year I had over $ 7000.00 worth of issues and the warranty only covered $ 1700.00. I contacted the dealership several times to no avail. Theyre selling you over-priced junk and telling you have piece of mind in a useless warranty. After two years I had to sell my truck at a huge loss and buy another vehicle. DO NOT TRUST NOR BUY FROM THEM!!!!

What did I like about it? Where do I start? Conducted business with Chris, brought in everything he asked for, approved almost instantly. I drove off in a car only to be informed 7 days later that I was not approved for the loan and I must immediately return the vehicle with the guarantee that my down payment would be refunded to me. (Minus the registration and insurance start up costs. Id have to chalk those or go about figuring out how I would get them refunded to me on my own.)I obviously was not happy about this at all, but I went ahead and returned the vehicle and keys in perfect condition. It wasnt until that time that I was informed I was being charged $60 per day that I had possession of the vehicle. Thats right, $420 for a car that I put less than 100 miles on in a week! Now I have no vehicle and Ive lost over $1000 in this transaction!!!What did I like about South Philly Auto???ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!Stay away from this place unless you enjoy being scammed and robbed for your money by con artists!!!Sickening! If I was not approved for this vehicle, I should not have been given the keys to drive it off the lot and home to park in front of my door for a week...and be charged over $400!!!!I WOULD NEVER RETURN OR RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP TO ANYONE!!! EVER!!!

My husband and I got a 2011 Chrysler Town and country back in 2015. Went on Thursday got approved came back that Friday and drove off. We had no issues with south phila auto. They were very helpful and kind. Just didnt like all the paper work but thats a part of the process.

So I went to south Philly Auto last August, I got a 2009 dodge jorney. Im currently a kinship parent of five and I have three kids of my own. I was in need of a car and also one with more space. The car was listed online on another web sight for 9,995 so I inquire I hesitated a little but eventually I got it I put 3000 or more down and then within thirty days I had to pay 1,200. The total for my car came too 14,295 my monthly payments is $411.00 then insurance I have never been late with my car payments less then 3,000 miles my transmission is already bad and was probably bad when I purchased it. Now I am stuck with a car that does not work and a $10,000 loan. And basically they cant do anything for me what a shity company!!! Taking advantage of people!! So if you decide to get a car from them take a mechanic or have one look at car ASAP!!! I have leaned from this experience so Im definitely kicking myself😩😤😢

It has been approximately 6 days since I have purchased the car and now my car wont start due to the check engine light shown. I called to let the car dealer know and he was very rude and also could care less what inconvenience I was experiencing at the time. Please please please if you are looking for a vehicle I would not advise to purchase through this 3rd party. All they care about is selling lemons and leave us customers with making lemonade!!!

South Philly Auto sales helped me alot. They worked with me and my credit to get me in a good use car. Before them, I was driving a 2003 Grand AM from B and B auto at a high ass rate. But for what i was paying them, I got a 2013 from South Philly Auto.

I needed something reliable, cute and financially suitable for me, yet I was concerned about my credit application. I was referred to South Philly Auto and advised to speak with Shawn Shawoo Stewart specifically. I spoke to Shawn, who was very pleasant and professional. He told me what documents to bring. I went with my glass half full, presented what I had and Mr. Stewart made it his mission to make sure my needs were met that day. He definitely closed the deal. I had an awesome experience and felt ecstatic driving away in my Nissan Altima. When Im ready to trade up, Ill be calling Shawn Shawoo Stewart, HES AWESOME AT WHAT HE DOES!!

I got a car from this place and started having problems with the car within a month or less the windshield wiper part that shoots the water out didnt work, my locks where messed up could only open my doors from inside yhe car and my one of my mirrors didnt work then 5-6 months after that water started coming from the roof of my car everytime it rained, then my center support went bad, then my power steering & now my engine! Im not even done paying for the car and paying a note on a car i cant drive and cant afford to get fix after all the money i already put in it. Ive had nothing but problems with this car pretty much since i got it. Im sure they knew all this when they sold me the car and told me to tell the finance place a higher number than what i was supposed to pay so they could get more money on a car that was already over priced! Never again and i definitely make sure no one i know goes there.They are also associated with Chester pike auto

Went looking to trade in and Chris and the rest of the staff put us in a great new car and gave us a good deal for our trade in. Not a huge selection of cars but it was a quick process and we left with a very nice car.

I purchased a 09 Nissan Altima. I initially didnt want it because for one its old and it has 80,000 miles on it. My credit is jacked up bad. Ed assured me that this car will help my credit. Plus he couldnt sell me another car;(. I really needed a car. Ive had the car for two weeks now, its ok my horn didnt work the day I got it so they fixed it. Its a rattling sound when I drive, I have to go and get that fixed. Of course there paying for it not me;) it drives really smooth plus its tint on it but Im not going to lie I feel in love with this car like yesterday lol. I just hope it dont break down on me:( but overall Im happy with my purchase and service:)

I walked in and was told I was approved. Walked out with a car. Got a call 5 days later saying the bank denied your application and we want our car back ASAP. Even though they generated a lease they never signed it so therefore the lease is invalid. They are crooks. Make sure they sign everything and you read the lease in detail. If they call you back to sign or resign more papers turn them down. I usually do not do reviews however im hoping that my bad experience will save someone time and pain.
