Restaurant is cool but a bit small but mirrors make interior much more spacious. We ordered hummus plate and avocado kale salad for starter for 4 of us. Hummus was delicious but nothing much to dip with. Salad was ok. Then we had 15 bites hotdogs, steak fries, bacon deluxe burger. Hotdogs were good. I asked medium cooked for burger but it was a bit dry and taste regular, nothing so special about it. Then we want refills for our beer but it took almost 20 minutes. In general service was slow food was ok. Very touristic but you should give it a try.
Was strolling by while looking for a spot to eat and saw all the lights and liked the way the diner looked. Walked in and immediately was seated. Waited a few minutes for the waiter to come by, but it wasn’t an extensive wait. Waiter was pleasant and helpful. Food came out relatively quick. Food tasted good. I had the waffle pastrami which was good. Could have needed a little more seasoning, which I was kinda surprised cuz the pastrami is supposed to be their staple. My friend ordered the chicken tacos and oyster mushrooms. Both were very good and flavored nicely. Drinks seemed to be priced per order which I thought was odd. I had ice tea and my friend had lemonade so when we were never offered refills we figured it was per drink. Overall, nice place to stop in for a quick and decent meal.
An unexpected treat in Times Square!! Wonderful spot with impeccable service and excellent food. Fresh squeezed OJ, endless coffee, the french toast and the waffle were fabulous and REAL maple syrup as part of the meal. Could not have been happier!!!
Clean, excellent service and the food was great! I was meeting a friend at the Brooklyn Diner for lunch. I arrived first and after sitting down the manager promptly poured me a glass of water. When I asked for a coke the server immediately brought it to the table (her service was great). When my friend showed up we ordered and I got a delicious bacon cheese burger. I would highly recommend this place. Prices are reasonable for NYC Time Square.
TERRIBLE, avoid at all costs. Took THIRTY whole minutes for my waffle and egg to come, and on top of that they got the order wrong. It’s tourist central, so it’s expensive but definitely NOT worth it— MUCH better places to get diner food from.
Bens was a phenomenal server! He made me an excellent Grand Marnier-based cocktail and the food was reasonably priced and top quality! We would love to come back again before our trip ends!
Coffee very good and waitress staff very nice. Unfortunately they were very understaffed and service was quite poor. We did not receive our entire order and no refill of coffee offered. Menu was limited; It appears they are catering to the gourmet lover— not me in full transparency! Although the presentation was nice, quality & flavor is well below average.
The 4 entertainers were excellent! They come from major Broadway Musicals, Kinky Boots, Jersey Boys, to name a few. They perform at the Brooklyn Diner twice a week. I highly recommend going for dinner and the show.
Excellent costumer service, delicious huevos rancheros plate, nice place to visit with family or friends. I truly recommended.
Let me declare that this is my first time dining in this place. Now to the review at hand. The place has a nice fancy feel to it which made me all warm and cozy. There were two friendly staff members who helped accommodate my needs with flying colors: Evan the manager and Tonia the server. I asked for a recommendation and went with the old-fashioned double bacon burger with fries. True to their word, it was delicious and not to mention really big on my hands. The best part is that they always check on me from time to time to see if I was okay or needed anything else. I felt valued and I really appreciate their efforts. Their prices were decent but it is Manhattan after all. When I do have the chance again, Ill stop by to say hi or have coffee. I definitely will recommend this place. Thank you.
First time visiting this place. Very lovely environment. Our server Geneviev was so nice, attentive and friendly. Coming back again soon!
Our food was very expensive and I don’t think it was worth the price. It tasted good, but the portion sizes were so small. I got chicken tacos and the menu said it came with tortilla chips, but it literally came with 3 chips. It was kind of funny, but not worth the money we paid. However, the staff was very friendly & enjoyable to be around!
Food was delicious. Server was very good. She took great care of us.
We sat at the bar. Service was prompt and food was great. Highly recommend the chicken pot pie.
Beautiful place and decoration, excellent customer service, and delicious meals. Also, they have fresh natural orange juice.
Staff was great. Food tasted good, but pricing was a bit too high.
Great food and great service! We had the best server, Toneya! Highly recommend!
The food isnt anything special, but the show is really nice. If youre a music lover and youre looking to have some fun, I highly recommend this place.
Polite staff. Great food. Vaccine required
Brooklyn dinner was my first diner experience in New York City... food here is so good... kale salad was so tasty and those chilly bowl with pitta, onions and parmesan cheese... clean and nice atmosphere, the service is so good here and ready to help you with everything... I had also the old fashioned Brooklyn burger with was awesome... so tasty and perfect cooked... everything were amazing there... I will go back soon there for sure...
Local, and wonderful. Missed this kind of food when we moved away from big cities.
Fancied a burger, so decided to pop into the Brooklyn diner. What a great choice we made. Very helpful waiter took our order and offered some advice on the burgers. Just the right size for us, with some very tasty fries. Managed to walk in and get a table even on a Friday night although it was very busy. Well worth a visit here and we would thoroughly recommend.
Overpriced.Understaffed, and the stress of the manager was palpable.2.5 hours to get 2 eggs Benny, 1 milkshake, and a slice of cake. Food was a bit below average, but good portioned sized. They never brought us a teaspoon for our tea. Food was served on dirty looking plates. Milkshake arrived after the meal was finished. For 88.00 Id have expected more.Id advise against dinning here. There are better quality, cheaper priced, and faster locations everywhere.
Very good, and genuinely happy!! Nine of us, and it seemed that we were all feeling equally the same.
Excellent food and even better service. Unbeatable combination.
Great food; everything was delicious and the installations were spotless.
The food is what youd expect from your typical diner. The service here was wonderful! Prices were reasonable too.
Great food.. A little bit pricey but I guess is ok.
Food was terrible for the price they charge. The milkshakes were good and the servers were nice.
You will not leave hungry! Great service & large portions.
Super attentive staff, delicious dinner breakfast, lovely place!
Excellent staff! Oh yeah, the food is great also!!
I went here with a couple of friends. The food was amazing. I got the eggs benedict and my friends each got a specialty waffle. There was barely anything left on our plates by the time we left. Our waitress was funny and super nice with a hint of sarcasm. She was absolutely great. I definitely plan on coming back again for breakfast.
Nice spot, Ive been here before. The first time we had a good experience. This time was... fair. The waiter was a little slow and didnt come around enough. The food was good but not as good as I remember. I can say I dont mind going back but if other options present themselves Ill have to think about them.
This is whats on display .. hostess assured us that the plastic display a 10 inch high strawberry laden confection was a realistic representation of the cheesecake served. This is what we got .. a 3 inch high modest slice with 3 pieces of strawberries for $11.00 Not a good representation for an establishment that calls itself Brooklyn Diner
Very clean, friendly staff and the food was clean-the-plate good
One of the worst dining experiences Ive had in NYC. Went for dinner a little after 9PM. Sat at the bar. Place wasnt busy at all. After sitting there for 10 minutes. I had to ask a bus boy if there was a server. He told a gentleman, who I assume was the manager, and he brought me a menu and said the server would be right over. Ordered a burger (rated 1 of the best in NYC) medium & added grilled onions. When the food arrived. The fries were cold & the burger was well done & no grilled onions. I asked about the onions, and the server said he would go get them. Meanwhile my food got even colder while I waited. No one, including the manager, ever asked me if things were ok. The whole experience was poor. It seems like everyone was was distracted (especially my server by his phone). Which I would understand in a busy restaurant in Times Square, but the place was empty. I had planned to order dessert when I walked in, but obviously didnt after this experience. Needless to say... I wont be returning to this establishment.
Great Food even better atmosphere.
Excellent Diner atmosphere, Food was very good as was the service
Nice place, very good food
This used to be one of my favorite places to eat when coming to New York/Time Square. I would get the 6” chocolate chip pecan cookie and would even get an extra to take home 2000 miles away. I also loved their Cobb salad. Here is a picture of how it used to be. This was the one best salads I ever had and recommended it to many others. Unfortunately over the last couple of years, these items have gone drastically downhill. The cookie that I ordered today was super dry - felt like it was made 15 hours previously and heated up in the microwave oven. The Cobb salad I had today was okay but nothing stellar. I shared my concerns with our very nice server and she said that’s the way “corporate” now does things. I am a bit sad, this tradition has come to an end.
Had sangria, which was nice. Ordered the chicken parmigiana and came with a huge piece of chicken, and very little spaghetti. The cheese on top was delicious but the chicken itself was extremely salty. I dont know what happened there, it was uncomfortable to eat but I paid $22 for it. Choose a different option, quality over quantity is always the way to go.
Lovely food and service
Good food and great service
Great neighborhood gem! Was recommended to me by the concierge at the hotel in NYC. I asked him for a good quality food. I was a bit sceptical at 1st as I am not a diner person, but followed the recommendations anyway and went there. Ordered Fish Tacos and it was the best Ive ever tasted. Huge portion and I finished it all. There were 2 ladies next to me, and they also loved their food. Indeed, good quality food. Would go there again in a heartbeat
A very large Greek style diner located in the theatre district so its a tourist trap with prices to match. Food is good, portions are suitable but it is incredibly expensive. If you want to pay $20 for a hot dog with chili and $8 for soup, have at it.
Good service and tasty food.
Traditional diner atmosphere, the food was fab!
Not sure going back. Food was good but they missed the cheese in my pastrami sandwich. Staff had an attitude. You need to ask for the same thing twice or more to get it.
Oh my oh my!!! So freaking delicious! The staff was very catering and even though the place was busy, the only thing that took awhile was the food to come out. But it was worth the wait, 100%. Would definitely be coming back and trying other things. I had the Turkey Reuben.
Amazing Service.Food was GoodSimple in and Out
Giant delicious portions.
Delicious food and welcoming, attentive staff. The Chicken Pot Pie was amazing, and the Mac and Cheese and Noodle Kugel were delicious. All this fed two of us and we were stuffed before we could finish it all.
Family was hungry after a big day out. Food and drinks hit the spot. Pricing is a little high for a diner however it goes with it’s location.Service was fast and exceptional.
Our old favourite. Always our first stop for soup in Manhattan. Love the staff, so professional and kind.
