I love this place! I go every week at least three times. Sometimes every day. The staff is amazing, super nice and welcoming, they make you feel at home. The food is delicious and always fresh. The coffee is my favorite, much better than in any other places. The place itself is also beautiful and comfortable to be in it. I love to go there and read some days or just work on my laptop. It is nice to see that there are always some regular clients that go there every day. That means something. The sisters and Sebastián are the best.
A great quiet spot to get work done! The almond croissant and chocolate muffins were decent, but the coffee was too weak. Both my friend and I had caffeine headaches afterwards and believe it was due to the weakness of the coffee. Not sure if this was a one off thing - I’d give this place another shot before ruling it out.
Its fine. Theres probably better option closeby. The quiche was pretty sad and doughy. Service was very nice though.
It is a nice place but the drinks are watered down.
A tad expensive but well worth it. Way Way better then Starbucks.
We love the food and the coffee at Boule & Cherie!
This small place is a gem in the area, they have the best coffee around and I mean it, Americans drink coffee very bitter because is too roasted, this coffee place not just has good quality coffee from the best countries but they also know how to make it. They also have real fresh pastry bake every day and before the COVID used to be a really cozy place to spend some time in, but now if you are around the area just stop by to support them and enjoy a VERY good coffee.
One of my favorite coffee shops in the city 😃
Great coffee. A very good selection of pastries.
Hidden gem! Great pastries, matcha and lunch options. Try the caprese sandwich or almond croissant. I also love their matcha latte. Super friendly service!
Great coffee. Fun food. Sympathetic staff
Great Flat White and pastries
My place for a coffee on my way to work. One of the few places that know how to make a Cortado.
Have been visiting Boule & Cherie for the last year at least 2 times per week. Great pastry and coffee. Nice atmosphere. Over the last months I have noticed the following negative developments:- the core team of the few is still strong: fast and friendly, the new employees WITH SOME EXCEPTIONS have NOT received a proper training. It starts with the way they serve coffee and tea and ends with the way they communicate with customers. If the owner reads it, PLEASE run training sessions for the people who recently joined.- cleanliness of the space: restroom is not maintained well enough: maybe more often and more extensive cleaning would help.- the fact that you guys received B, in my opinion, is unacceptable for the place of this level and I think maybe in part this is the result of the above issues (team training/motivation and standard procedures).- One specific suggestion about training: if staff screws smt up they need to accept it and to learn how to say a word sorry to a client. Again doesnt relate to the whole team.Giving 5 stars tentatively. Hope this is helpful and B&C will change for the better soon.Best,Ilya
I had a decaf cappuccino and an apple pastry. Both were good and reasonably priced for the UWS. There was a good selection. I met a friend there and we sat on a comfortable sofa in the back and chatted for an hour.
Lovely, cozy spot. The service is welcoming. My favorite, the warm, crunchy toast with poached egg, creamy guacamole and cool, fresh salad is a must try!
I regularly visit this Cafe since its conveniently located around the corner from my sons school. This place is a little bit pricey as any other modern cafe. There is a big selection of pastries, and all though I would not compare it with the more pricey upscale cafes on Broadway, the quality is good. If you are an espresso aficionado, this Cafe will satisfy you if you are on the run. If you have time for searching better options for espresso I would suggest Bread Bakers on Broadway. The atmosfer is leaning towards people working with their laptops, although some times they have background music a little bit too much on the foreground. Over all, its a comfortable place if you want to spend some time working on your laptop, or have a conversation with your friend or business associate.
My favorite local coffee shop!!! Literally get my coffee here every day. The staff are great and part of the reason we go!
Absolutely the very best
I visit NYC several times a year. This is my go to spot for coffee and pastries. Very quick and friendly service, and the food and drink never disappoint
I love this place! The coffee is delicious, but I wonder if it doesnt taste even better because the baristas are genuinely kind to everyone. The staff doesnt need to be trained in making the cafe experience homey; thats their nature. Good products in a delightful atmosphere - you can understand why they have a consistent, loyal following.
Nice little spot to grab a sandwich or a coffee. My croissant sandwich didn’t heat all the way through, which was a little disappointing. But there’s space to use computers/WiFi, which is exceedingly rare.
Delicious coffee and tasty pastries, friendly service, decent amount of seating and available outlets.
Love this coffee shop! Friendly staff and great food too.
Very good customer service (I asked about the avocado toast and it was described in perfect detail) and excellent avocado toast! Pastries looked yummy (I had to pass tho) and the iced coffee was perfect for todays steamy weather. Will definitely go again.
Quick and fast service with friendly staff. Pastry I had was delicious
The neighborhood is up and coming and this cute little hip coffee shop is a sign of a burgeoning little niche on the west side. I cant wait. Very good coffee, friendly barista and what looks like pretty delicious casual food!
Delicious quiche slices for breakfast and they brew Stumptown coffee and cold brew, and have oat milk, lots of seating including outdoor tables, and no loud music. Highly recommend!
A bright relaxing coffee. They have a big variety of pastries and sandwiches. The atmosphere is very lay back.Difently a good place to drink coffee and read a book or study.
I like this place :) the staff are sweet and the coffee is good. I was impressed.
Great bakery with delicious pastries. The apple danish was fresh and delicious. It was pretty big compared to other dansishes.
Great coffee and sandwiches. Quiet and big space.
Stay away if you are looking for good customer service and basic respect as a customer. The owner’s nephew, the new store manager, puts himself ahead of customers and feels his selfish wants are more important than customer needs, customer loyalty and customer service. A reflection of a management mentality that has no business being alive in this era and certainly not in the otherwise family friendly UWS. Customer first thinking does not exist at B&C.They have five seats suitable for people with severe back problems like mine and only two of them have plug outlets. The nephew manager frequently puts his stuff down in the best of the two seats and thinks it is more important that he works sporadically throughout the day in a prime customer seat than allow multiple customers to sit there even after a customer specifically asks him for the seat. On two separate occasions I asked him if I could sit there as I have back problems. Both times in a condescending, self-entitled tone he told me, no, go “sit somewhere else”. When I said that he could sit in another seat less than two feet away, he said it was more important that he sit in this seat “to monitor the business” than make me, as a customer happy. Clearly not knowing anything about managing a customer-driven, word of mouth business and basic customer courtesy, he dismissed my requests saying they were “unreasonable”. He doesn’t even sit and work for most of the day, he just dumps his stuff there so customers can’t use the seat.I’ve even seen moms struggling with strollers having to fight their way to a seat further away because this seat is taken which would be much more convenient for moms with small babies and strollers (including my baby). It is difficult enough being a new parent with a small baby without having to deal with an incompetent, insensitive manager who prefers you struggle and have a poor dining experience with your limited time, energy and money. Speaking of struggling, Ive seen B&C’s daily and weekly sales numbers (as the novice manager left them glaring on his open computer in the seat he refused to give to a customer) and B&C can certainly use all the help they can get. It is astounding to me that such an incompetent, manager was put in charge of a place that otherwise had the potential to be a solid UWS coffee shop/cafe option.
Wonderful hidden gem of a coffee shop serving lots of pastries and stumptown coffee
Nice sunny place to sit down to get work done or meet up with a friend. Good drinks, sandwiches, and sweets. Sometimes music is a little loud.
My $4 hot chocolate taste like dishwater. Waste of $$$
Their assortment of sweet and salty treats are amazing.
Horrible! Food was dry with no taste. It wasent fresh and was just put into bag sandwich not wrapped. Never again.
Nice coffee shop. The coffee tastes good and the bakery items are always fresh.
This coffee shop feels expensive just walking in the door but they do have third wave coffee (stumptown) and the pastries are accompanied by small overpriced sandwiches which can be good in a pinch. Also a nice selection of bottled beverages. Located near the Lincoln Square AMC so its a nice place to chat before or after a movie. Off the beaten path a bit so nice to get away from tourists, but still close enough to Columbus circle and central park.
Really fresh, healthy & tasty food in a very quiet & friendly environment.
Im so glad theyve opened up in this neighborhood. Great coffee and tea, and also an appealing display of pastries, sandwiches and empanadas.Weve visited quite a few times, and although there often isnt enough vacant seating for a group exceeding 3 or 4, we enjoy stopping in for treats or waiting for seating. My only complaint is that weve rcvd a stale croissant and oatmeal cookie once, which was a surprise considering the price of these items. However, on every other occasion, the pastries have been fresh. When I mentioned it (just so theyd be aware), they kindly insisted on giving me another item free of charge.
Very friendly staff and delicious pastries. WiFi is fast and reliable too.
Mediocre coffee and food items (2-3*). Seating is adequate or slightly above average (3-4*). Music selection makes me feel more in a club than a coffee shop (1*) - distracting and wrong for the rest of the atmosphere (Eminem?... Interesting). Price for quality of items (3*). There are multiple outlets for coffee available in a quarter mile that would better serve your dollar.I base my scores based on price, location, environment, and equivalent services within the area. Here is the breakdown of what the stars represent:1* - bottom 5%2* - 5-30%3* - 30-70%4* - 70-95%5* - top 5%
Great food, drink assortment and friendly staff. Its a good change from the usual fare in the neighbourhood.
Comfortable, fast. Good quiche. Mommy crowd. Bright and noisy.
Great coffee, free Wi-Fi, and very friendly staff
Customers toddler was sitting on the checkout counter. Owner had no problem with this. Is this sanitary?
Nice place but too bad they had the radio (yes, commercial radio) blasting to the point that I could still hear it with headphones on. Not my idea of a relaxing place, some people may like it.
Bright area, great coffee, pastries and food . I really like this place . Get a Latte!
Their coffee is amazing 😍😍😍and so r the baked empanadas 😁
Yep. They have Stumptown here, so they win the Lincoln Center area coffee throwdown easily.
Excellent espresso, friendly staff, good snacks. Great addition to the neighborhood.
The coffee is just delicious and please try the empanadas!
Above average coffee.
Well priced and yummy.
The girls that work there are super awesome
Great little place for tea and lunch or snacks
Good pastries (Pastelitos de coco + guava + cheese!) + Free Wi-Fi with matcha lattes!
Very kind staff, awesome alfajor!
Stumptown espresso and cold brew on Nitro, and a pretty decent Matcha Latte. Cute sandwiches, 6 different kinds of quiche which is the bomb, and good croissants. Theres a counter, small tables, a couch, and outdoor tables. Great wifi too.One caveat: they play super generic pop, and they play it pretty loud. Think Coldplay and Justin Timberlake. Its great if you like it, but bring some good noise cancelling headphones if you dont.
Good place to work with free wi-fi
The music is very very loud so everyone has to speak even louder to get heard... I came here on a Thursday afternoon and it was not pleasant! When I left the place, my head was feeling like after you leave a club. No joke!
Had a good capachino and quiche .
Excellent customer services and great coffee.
Great red eye coffee
One of my favorite local cafe.
Descent coffee/pastry place with Wi-Fi in the area.
Not best for hanging out but delicious pastries.
Nice people and a great place to work
Little overpriced but good coffee!
Lovely, child-friendly cafe.
Exactly what you expect from an upper west side coffee shop.
Great espresso, very friendly service.
The pastries are delish.
Came here after all the positive reviews but was highly disappointed when I got a weak coffee that had 0.3% flavor.
Stumptown coffee served here. Cold brew available. Pastries are average.
Good coldbrew coffee
Great coffees and pastries.
Great coffee and food.
$4.50 for an espresso?!!!! Are they out of their minds?
Great cranberry muffins
Clean, large, fun, good coffee
Quiche was great
Nice coffee place!!
Comfort joint
Fantastic place
Solid cafe.
