If you haven’t heard of or had La Colombo’s coffee then you are not living your best life! the coffee shop is pretty hipster-like and has some seating inside and a few benches outside. pretty clean location. the interior has a cool classy vibe. the location is typically pretty busy in morning and when the Soul Cycle classes let out across the street.typically get oat milk draft lattes here as they are delicious. it’s a basically smooth creamy coffee with a frothy sweet aftertaste. there’s nothing quite like coffee chilled outta a draft tap. also it’s a quick drink to get when you’re pressed for time.staff is pretty chill, not too chatty with the customers.
I love La Colombe because it is a Philadelphia brand that has expanded and made a name for itself up and down the East Coast. I was all too happy to see locations like this one start popping up in NYC.We visited before Covid so the atmosphere in here is awesome. They have a standing espresso bar that is very European.Personally, I prefer their cold coffee but you cant go wrong with anything on their menu. Definitely checkout one of their locations though. Its a nice alternative to Starbucks.
Coffee is pretty good, but the operation is really just rushed take-out. Too noisy to stay comfortably long enough to drink a coffee.I thought the bakery selection was limited but loved the almond croissant and everything looked fresh. Very genzy kind of operation.
La Colombe Coffee is one of my friends’ favorite roasters. They are so into coffee and see coffee as an essential daily need.We had their Drip Coffee and Draft Latte. It was amazingly tasty and refreshing especially for the draft latte. The foam was so creamy on the top and the balance between milk and espresso was so right. We also bought dozens of their cans in order to try all the flavors next week at home. The decor was artsy but simple and the ambiance was cozy. It is definitely a perfect spot for morning or afternoon coffee. It was so pity that the indoor seating was unavailable currently.
This coffee shop is terrific! The staff has always been so accommodating to my requests and dietary restrictions. The drinks come up quickly, so I hardly have to wait at all. Also, the place is filled with happy people. We will definitely come back and recommend this place to my friends and family.
Of all the coffee we tried in New York (and we tried a lot), I liked this the best. The brew is exceptionally well balanced with just enough brightness to give it an edge, yet not enough to make it leave a sour aftertaste. It also seems to be quite high in caffeine, so be aware; if your normal dose is 2 double espressos, stop after the first or you might feel like youre a spaceman...Highly recommended!
Best coffee in the country for sure! I love the bitterness-free coffee, and I found it here in this coffee shop. Other coffee shops I tried before were okay, but the after-taste was, ugh! But this coffee shop wasnt. Their coffee was the best-tasting and aromatic coffee than anywhere in the city! I always had my morning coffee with them every single day!
I adore La Colombe generally. The draft lattes are unreal. So unique. This location has a bit more of a corporate feel than some of their others but it’s nice and fixed up.
Love and miss this place. My old office was around the corner so it was my go to. Staff here are very knowledgeable and helpful. It’s a well oiled machine during the rush hour morning.
Always great coffee and great service. Never disappoints! Whenever I am in the area I stop by for an americano. They know how to make espresso drinks right.
I had a great experience there since I was so productive and effective. I came to this coffee shop to do some online work and found it to be a pleasant place with a strong internet connection.
Whatt?? Just WOW! Amazing cold brew coffee! Fresh and def worth the visit. Will go back!

Very good coffee in a quaint cafe. Seating is available but very limited. They offer small pastries as well and have cold brew and other coffees on tap. Loose coffee and tea is for sale. There can be a line, but it usually moves fairly quickly.Coming here has the added benefit of being a front row seat to all enormous queue for the Supreme store just next door.
The coffee was really good and the atmosphere even better. Really nice and friendly baristas, too! Baked goods also delicious and music excellent. Great vibe! The place is perfect for those who want to start their day with the finest coffee.
This. place has an amazing cold coffee on draft in two different varieties: black, or latte. You can order it as a black and tan which is half and half. It is smooth, milky, and delicious. They pour the coffee from a tap just like a draft beer. You cant really get a cold/iced coffee like this anywhere else. They also sell their coffee lattes in cans which are also great. This particular location is crowded and the staff is not super nice. Still, if you are in the mood for a cold cup of coffee, it is the best place to get one.
Baristas here are totally awesome! Coffee tasted amazing as well and will definitely go back when I’m in the area.
The crew members so friendly and kind, and the coffee tasted great!
Trendy coffee shop of the La Colombe brand. Located near busy Astor place, NYU, and Cooper Union campus areas, this is a somewhat upscale, visit-to-be-seen place attracting students, the it-crowd and the young-at-heart. The atmosphere inside is comfortably urban with good WiFi, has nice indoor table and bar seating, and outdoor casual sidewalk seating. It is usually crowded. There is a wonderful water fountain offering flat and fizzy tap water. La Colombe coffee products are available, as well as chocolates, pastries and nibbles. On the pricey side.
Very good coffee but in this location they serve you half the cup ...
Everyone at our table was enjoying everything. I look forward to going back again. Prices were fair. Feels like a cafe in Phoenix that I enjoyed visiting.
Very busy, but the staff took a little bit of extra time to let me try something in order to make sure I liked it. Its a good thing that they did because I did not like it and they pointed me in the direction of something I would like. Its a cool little hole in the wall; Theres not a lot of sitting, but its a great little place to stop by for a quick drink before continuing onwards. The staff are friendly and they have a good selection of drinks. Their whole specialty is their draft line of drinks including coffee and orange juice infused with nitrogen for a very smooth drinking experience.
Extremely helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable.. recommended the Ethiopian ...was exactly 💯 what I needed
Big fan of oat draft latte. flew all the way from scottsdale arizona just to get it.
Amazing vegan pastries. I recommend the peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. They taste like they arent vegan, which is I think the highest recommendation for a vegan dessert :) And the coffee is amazing too.
I got a cappuccino and it was terrific! Just how I like it! I recommend this place.
Best coffee👌
Always have a good espresso here.
Very good coffee!
This tiny place has it all. Great coffee, service, and really good pastries. You know those jokes about how vegans always tell you theyre vegan. Well, I dont think thats true and timeless proves it. They dont actually advertise it much, its just what they are and everything is delicious anyway.
Good cold brew
Colombe is one of the best espressos in the city. Im Italian. If what you are looking for is just espresso, as done in Italy - dark roast, nutty, balanced - this is the place to be. If you like lattes or stuff like that, they have a wide selection too (I guess, Im not into dessert coffees). For me the great thing about Colombe is they manage to pull an espresso as it should be (as opposed to some other espresso places where they use medium roast). Their beans are great, I use them for my espresso machine at home.
Really good coffee but for the price I had better
It’s worth the wait. There has always been a long line to get in but the coffee is amazing and with so many varieties it’s easy to see why it’s so popular. Fresh pastries are a big plus with the Almond crescent being a great favorite for me well that and the pretzel crescent. They also have whole bean coffee in a large variety for take home for a weekend treat.
This place is great no frills just great coffee! I had a latte and you can tell they use high quality beans. The balance was amazing. Dont except to find a seat as it very limited enough for many 12 people. If you are in the area this is a great stop far better than going to Starbucks!
La Colombe makes absolutely the best coffee. You can get coffee or tea and some pastries, but you will not find drinks for children unlike other cafes. Also, the seatings are very limited and can sit probably 10 people at most. If you are looking for a place to sit or go with children, this may not be suitable. This place has self serve water pitcher and glasses by the counter and it doesn’t have a restroom.
Great coffee. Reasonably priced beans. Exceptionally helpful staff. Also, the iced coffee has new lids so you dont need a straw.
This craft coffee roaster has cafes in New York, Chicago, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. CEO and co-founder Todd Carmichael even has his own travel show where he scours the globe for the best beans possible. Natural light floods the New York City location, which has self-serve syrups and draft coffee. Lineups get long if you go first thing in the morning, but service tends to be quite fluid. Cortados (espresso with a small amount of steamed milk) are strong and can also be made with almond milk. Unique baked goods are made in house and include pretzel croissants. Grab some beans on your way out the door if you have become a convert.
Quick and efficient in a very busy area. Ive gotten coffee here for years now and never waited in line longer than 3mins.. good place for strong coffee and if youre in a rush
Nice
Very busy chain establishment. Can have long lines. My latte was good. Beans tasted more burnt than my liking.
Awesome pastries..great space. Home if the defunct Moishes bakery. They kept the banner.
Draft latte is a game changer.
Great atmosphere! The coffee is pretty good. The mint tea is amazing!
I go here as often as possible. My favorite espresso in the city. The coffee is mostly medium bodied but bold. Not heavily roasted rocket fuel youll find at many popular NYC coffee shops. They do get busy at times and have little seating.
Like espresso? Love the local cute barista? If you believe in having a high quality coffee at a fair price in a laid back atmosphere, then this is the place to go. They put a shot of espresso in all coffees and have great baked goodies to go with it. A perfect place to meet someone for a coffee or get your drink to-go.
I’m always a little nervous to try out a popular coffee shop for fear of paying $4 for an undrinkable excuse for espresso or cappuccino. You know how for some reason super bitter, sometimes sour tasting, sometimes burnt tasting coffee seems to be popular these days? I’m all for a nice strong espresso, but this is not strong, it’s just...blech. This is why I always wind up at La Columbe. Consistently delicious, high quality drinks. Just the right amount of foam in a cappuccino, strong and delicious espresso - you wouldn’t think it’d be that hard to find. As long as there’s a La Colombe near you, it’s not.
Awesome coffee to go. Seating is limited but the space is nice. I love the ice coffee.
Delicious every time. This location is hard to find a place to sit but you can make it happen if you come with a friend. One person for drinks, one person for seats.Order the black and tan. Always delicious.
Coffee tastes burnt and my barista could care less about serving a good product. La Colombe, a perfect example of a coffee company growing too big too fast to keep up with quality assurance.
Artisan coffee and friendly service attracts their customers to come back to this hip establishment. In the morning, the line is out the door, but it goes by pretty quick. They make awesome lattes and a mean almond croissant. The downside is the limited seating.
Quite a long line. The interior space is very small and it is going to be hard to find a seat if you want to sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee. The coffee was definitely bold and delicious,
Was not a huge coffee fan but this is the only coffee that taste great, doesnt give me a headache or stomachache afterwards. Try the Oat Draft Latte is Devine!
Limited seating and even so, the tables are miniature, the size of a dinner plate. Im happy they use reusable cups if you sit in though. Try their draft latte
Came here for the coffee and left smiling-Latte is GOOD- I am from LA but this coffee is quite good-Latte was smoth and just lovely-Service was Ok. It is NYC after all-Not many place to sit but people drink and leave quickly-So wait about three minutes and you can sit-Yup New York- New York-Will come here again for sure :D
A tiny little coffee spot that packs a punch!A friend gave me a little bag of their delicious roasted beans for Christmas 2011 and I have been hooked on La Colombes coffee ever since. Service is fast & friendly. If youre in Soho, this is, hands down, one of the best places for coffee in NYC.
Nitro Cold brew on tap the have 3 taps. Black, latte and oat milk. Real good
Probably the best coffee in NYC. Their espresso is amazing. The baristas are so fast in the morning rush and are also somehow friendly while doing it. I really admire how quickly they work and churn out an amazing coffee.
Great coffee. Helpful baristas. Line moves quickly.
One of the best chocolate chip cookies around. And the iced coffee is super strong. Best described as medicinal. Love it
Delicious coffee and really great location. Easy to stop in while shopping SoHo or sit and spend some time. Staff was nice and helpful.
This is my favorite coffee place and the best place for coffee in the city. The staff is super friendly and even if there is a line, which is often, it goes quickly. So much better than that large national chain thats all over the place.
The best iced coffee (iced red eye) in the world. Cant go wrong here. The pastries are great too.
I heard they have great croissant and coffee. I tried Cortado and a chocolate croissant, both are not as good as expected. Btw, the barista doesn’t look happy at all, which makes food and drink even worse.
They used to have the best cookies in NYC. Not anymore, new cookies have too much butter, are thinner and taste as a simple cookie... sad
Fantastic coffee but it always feels like theres a line. There are a few little tables and a perfect bench outside, where the people watching gets good, with sneaker heads lining up for supreme.
The best iced coffee (iced red eye) in the world. Cant go wrong here. The pastries are great too.
Amazing draft latte !!! Coffee has never tasted this good, would 100% recommend. Downside is that there is no room to sit down in the actual coffee shop, you must go next door as the space is shared between the two businesses.
Went there for a coffee and cookie. Ordered a cookie first, and then was asked if I wanted skim milk with my latte. Wasnt impressed with this service. The milk wasnt organic, as it has been at other locations, and the latte had a burned flavor. Ive had better service at lower end chains. Meh.
Just awful. Walked in, looked around, absolutely no menu. Couldnt tell whether I could get a cold brew, a latte, what their pourover options were. A note to businesses everywhere: please dont make it hard for me to spend my money. Thanks.
La Colombe is definitely among the better coffee shops in NYC. I particularly love their new draft Latte! Great use of molecular gastronomy to raise the level of the enjoyment of coffee!
Beautiful coffee shop, beautifully decorated and the service has always been great even when there is a long line (which is almost every time I go) and their iced coffee is absolutely amazing along with the almond croissant is to die for… I haven’t tried any of the other specialty drinks but they look equally as delicious.
Excellent coffee, though long lines mornings and weekends. A good place to buy a bag of beans, though they dont give a free cup of coffee with the purchase like many places. A few small tables.
Coffee is always good, and the line moves! No wifi of course, and its hard to secure a seat.If you come after noon be sure to get the olive bread. Its extremely soft, moist and is simultaneously sweet and savoury. Most of all I appreciate that it goes well with black coffee.Would advise against the almond croissant unless you are a big fan of icing sugar. They get their croissants from Balthazar but I still cant get behind the amount of sugar that comes with the pastry. If this is at all a concern of yours, the barristas are generally cute.
I love la Colombe and its great that they are opening up more locations in New York. This location looks great inside, high ceilings spacious. The coffee is unbelievable. The only problem is the line. It can take quite awhile to order and get your drink. Cest la vie...
They serve excellent Coffee Drinks. I really recommend having a cappuccino or an espresso to taste the phenomenal coffee roast!
OMG the best latte I ever had!!! Wish I could also have it in London!! There were a long line when I went there. But the latte is worth trying!!
Gem of a place. Great coffee, great service and they serve you coffee in beautiful cups if you opt to stay in store. They also have fantastic croissants, olive oil cake and cookies.
This little cafe is amazing. Great coffee roasted out of Philly- they have a small selection of pastries that are always great. You can also pick up their bottled cold brew, Pure Black, there and I havent found that anywhere else. Great for a little meetup or just a cap on your way around. The crowd also tends to be really good people- marketing, consultants, and a number of creatives.
