My husband and I both needed updated glasses and choosing this Pearle location has been a great experience! The entire staff was friendly and efficient and Dr. Collette provided a thorough exam with a spot on prescription. And lastly, we cannot say enough about the wonderful service that Matt gave us. My husband prefers a certain type of frame and Matt knew exactly what he wanted and ordered that brand for him. He was very happy with them as I was my transitional glasses and both of our sunglasses. Thank you all for making this such a pleasant experience and providing quality products.

Great experience here, I was on vacation and lost my glasses at the beach from an uppercut of a wave. I stopped by this Pearle Vision and was quickly greeted and shown the variety of frames they carried. I personally was here to replace my glasses and was not looking for anything in particular. I was quickly helped and luckily they had my prescription quickly available. A few measurements here and there, boom done. 30 minutes later I could see again to take my drive home from vacation. Just want to give a shout out to this location as they gave me great service, fast service, and was fully understanding! If you lose your glasses on vacation, make sure you have a photo of your prescription, itll make everything go so much smoother. And if you plan to use insurance, have your insurance card/info ready! Again great place!! A++

Maybe another Office would in another location would have worked out! Terrible experience- got fitted for contacts and I couldn’t see walking out the door- just wear them and come back in a couple of weeks! Really? I paid 150:00 bucks and insurance paid the difference and after another appointment put me in another pair and I said no difference. The girl at the desk is arrogant- the dr and rest were fine- just don’t know much about multi focal fittings- went elsewhere and I will be calling and demanding a refund! Used up my Insurance coverage for a year!! Paid all out of pocket with people that care more about your vision not money-

I have had two very positive experiences with Pearle Vision. Using a frame that I love, they are able to replace my lenses with a new prescription and are able to shape them to fit my frames.The only problem this time was when they put in the new lenses, the technician straightened up my frames and they no longer fit my head and subsequently my eyes. The lenses are trifocal, progressive ones. I had to spend several days readjusting my frames so that the fit properly on my head so the different focal plains lined up. That being said, the next time, I will caution them to not straighten the arms and bends in the frames.

Great Practice! The staff is always friendly and very helpful. The office is always clean & I see them cleaning regularly too! Would recommend over any nearby other offices!!!

BEWARE: come here for glasses with your own prescription done literally ANYWHERE ELSE. Quite honestly the worse and most rushed eye exam I have had in my entire life of getting glasses. Prescription was so wrong that the store employees admitted they have nothing to do with the eye doctor inside (as in he is leasing the office space like they do at Costco). They were separating themselves from him immediately. Pearle Vision did give me a refund for the lenses only after having to repeat myself multiple times to make them finally understand I want a refund and no more wasted time in the exam room (not like it would be much time anyways). Pointing out the fact I had two missed appointments to fix the issue that shouldn’t of happened to begin with. I work two jobs and am constantly called into work the DAY OF that is why I have to schedule eye exams so far in advance to begin with. I brought in my old glasses frames and they were nice enough to fix the lose leg that is why I am giving them a star. My 4 year old scratched up back up pair of glasses was a much better prescription than the one I got. They refused to give me a refund for the exam itself again quoting they have NOTHING to do with the “Dr.” writing exams. I was under the impression this place was a specialty eye exam center with more equipment. I asked if they had the visual fields test and told me they only do those exams the first Tuesday of every month. I booked an exam weeks in advance to go in there and the whole thing was finished in under 15 minutes. They never even did the visual fields test to test my Peripheral vision like I have done many times before at other clinics. The Dr. kept talking about golf just because I am wearing my brothers pine lakes jacket. I did not go there to talk and get kicked out as fast as they could. I will admit, STELLAR amazing lenses with the anti glare for under $300. Just a prescription so bad I can’t even drive at night without almost hitting and killing someone. I got my glasses and told them I think it is the wrong prescription they told me to keep wearing them for days and my eyes will adjust. I FORCED myself to wear them for over a week straight and it was the most unbearable pain I have ever felt in my eye in my entire life. The first time my girlfriend of 5 years has EVER seen me cross eyed as soon as I take them off every single day. I took them off and just tried to keep my eyes closed until I go to bed any amount of time with them off was unbearably painful like my right eye being squeezed from inside. It is as if I found a random pair of glasses +2 at a dollar store and tried to make my eyes adjust. That is simply not possible. I have an eye condition that has YET to be pinpointed and this place wasn’t even trying to help me. The “Dr.” even said “I am going to give you a weaker prescription to make your eyes work harder” I thought he knew what he was talking about but I have gotten a better prescription at America’s best which has way better pricing to begin with. I was willing to pay more for “ the perfect pair of glasses” and ended up with my dead grandfathers dollar store reading glasses to drive around at night and told oh just keep wearing them your eyes will get better. I am never returning to this place or any other Pearle Vision location and I plan on being a life long local needing glasses every two years minimum (24 years old) they lost many years of my service. They have still yet to give me a refund for a rushed exam ending up with a very wrong prescription.. to me that is me purchasing a service that wasn’t even performed to minimum standard effort. Why would I not be entitled to a refund ? They offered me a re-exam to try to get a better prescription giving me appointments on week days I would be called into work last minute. They don’t understand I don’t have time to call off work again and lose more money just to get a follow up exam that I shouldn’t have to do to begin with. I was not fortunate enough to collect unemployment like many people making $900 a week. UPDATE: STILL RECEIVED NO REFUND!!

The staff and doctors at Pearl Vision are amazing! They are welcoming, professional, friendly and knowledgeable and great with kids. My husband and I have had wonderful experiences there as well with eye exams and testing and buying glasses. Highly recommend!

This is a long overdue review, as I went to this Pearl Vision location back in January of 2019. I cannot express how impressed I was with Matt and his staff. I actually bought my glasses at a Pearl Vision in Minneapolis while on vacation over Christmas break. Being a little older, and only wearing readers for the past 6 years, this was the first pair of real glasses I have ever bought. In ordering progressive lenses, I knew my eyes would need to make adjustments; however, when my new glasses finally arrived, I was so disappointed due to feeling dizzy every time I wore my glasses. I actually thought I wasn’t cut out for progressive lenses. To be safe, I went to my local Pearl Vision in Myrtle Beach to make sure they were fitted properly on my face. That’s when I met Matt. After a few quick measurements and examining my glasses, he discovered that the lenses were not properly measured and cut at the corporate store I bought them from in Minnesota. While the corporate store didn’t seem willing to make this right (Matt communicated directly with them, articulating the errors that were made in measuring and cutting the lenses), he went above and beyond in making sure my glasses would be fixed at no cost to me. He was even willing to cover the cost if need be. My glasses are perfect! I never feel dizzy wearing them! Lessons learn: 1. Stay away from corporate stores. 2. Go to Pearl Vision in Myrtle Beach! Matt and his staff are professional and caring! I’ll be back soon for my next pair of glasses!

The reviews do not do this establishment justice! I lost my glasses in the ocean 2hrs after arriving for my week long vacation. I called to see if they could help me and they asked to have my prescription faxed to them. I walked into their lobby and was greeted by smiling faces. They had my lenses and script on the counter waiting on me. Picked out my frames and was out the door in 30mins! Thanks to everyone at Pearle Vision for treating me like I was your only customer! And, I love my new frames!

I have been going here for years for glasses and contacts! At my most recent visit, i asked for my pupil measurement as i had gotten a gift card to get glasses online. After getting my prescription and a years supply of contacts from them, they would not give me my pupil measurement. I asked the dr. When he did my exam, he failed to give to me. I also asked if they would look on my previous prescription from when i ordered glasses last, they would not do it! They told me i would have to pay for an entire exam again, although i just paid for one last month! This was one pair of glasses, I would not have gotten from them, now they will never see my money again, for exam, glasses or contacts! Hope they realize customer service is important! Being nice and helping others goes a long way and they failed big time ! Update, the owner of this office called me and went above and beyond to correct this situation and assure me this wasnt normal behaviour for this office! I will continue to support this office and appreciate the owner taking the time to right this wrong!

They are my go to place, I have such an amazing experience every time I enter the store. The staff are sweet, caring, and extremely helpful. Matt greeted me when I walked in and took care of all the problems I had with adjusting my sunglasses, helping me with a new pair of glasses that I was so deviated to losing after I sat on them. I would highly recommend if you want a good staff and also an amazing experience!

I needed a Saturday afternoon appointment for an exam and they had an opening that was just perfect. It was very quiet and relaxing, a nice place. They were well staffed and very friendly. Dr. Lowe gave me the eye exam and I picked out glasses right after. It took less than a week for the glasses to come in and the prescription is perfect. The prices were very reasonable and there were many frames to choose from. I am very happy with my new glasses and the whole experience, I definitely will go back to this Pearle Vision next year.

I agree the Doctor himself was amazing and gentle. There is also a young man his name is Matt who works here is very welcoming always with a smile and treated me with courtesy he went above and beyond 2 fit my needs 😃. For the rest of the staff especially the woman who takes care of the billing could care less and every time I visited I felt very unwanted I wouldnt spend another dime here ever ever ever ...... this shows that 1 person can make the whole experience a disaster !

On vacation, my husband lost his glasses in the ocean, he couldnt see that great, and we called several places to see if we could get eye exam and glasses, but said he wouldnt get his glasses in two weeks, when we called Pearl Vision, they said he could get his glasses in a day or two. We cane in got his exam done, and a hour later he got his glasses!!!! We were so happy! Great people and service!! You all need to come here!!!!!!!!!!!

Setting up an appointment has been difficult. I have called multiple times, left messages for the doctors, and have spoken to two different receptionists on different occasions. I have not received a call back from Pearl Vision since I first called last month.

Eye Dr. was very nice and informative...But Thats it...I got No help from staff when choosing frames....2 girls obviously could not be bothered. I just picked up my new glasses today...they asked my name...then pulled my glasses out of a basket behind the counter and just handed them to me....no case...they werent even wrapped in, at the least, a piece of paper to protect lenses...needless to say...there was no trying them before leaving.

My mom had the worst eye exam she said that they took a picture of her eyeball at least 4 times because the lady was new and kept messing up it was so bad that the eye doctor himself had to do it due to that my mom eyeball was sore for a few days I didnt know any of this until we got home and she told me if I knew this I would of said something because that light is bright and to have it flashed at least 4 times due to someone not knowing what she was doing I would of told them they was not taking any pictures of my eyes they would of had to use the pictures that they already took. I called them before coming there they said that it would be no cost because my mom had medicare please just the eye exam along was $140 this did not include eye glasses which the price for them was so high I was blown out my mind glasses $200-300 dollars etc my mom is no longer coming here she said that she will not come back its been at least 3 years since she had an eye exam and to finally have one after so long was a nightmare.

We didnt know anyone who went personally, being fairly new to the area. We decided to scout out places with the better ratings, and this seemed to have the best ratings. Thankfully, the ratings didnt lie! The Manager Matthew Cravin runs the kind of place we had hoped to find for eyeglasses/eye care for years. From the Manager to the Doctor, to all who work there, my husband and I have never had a better experience, been treated with care and the utmost integrity--very important to us and hard to find. They care very much about complete customer satisfaction. I wish every place where you make a purchase, particularly, those that affect your quality of living like eye care, would follow the model of this store. We have no hesitation about recommending this highly to any and all who ask. You can be sure to be confident in their service and honesty and the quality of their eye care and products. Broke my only pair of glasses during a fishing trip. Went to Pearl and was immediately greeted by Matt Cravin, who was able to find an exact frame for my prescription lenses. I was in and out in 15 minutes. These folks are the best. I wouldnt hesitate to use them again, Great job!

Horrible.. I don’t know why I wasted so many years coming here.. I kept giving them chance after chance which was my mistake. The customer service is atrocious. So unaccommodating.. I missed my appointment and was offered no resolution at all. All they care about is money- I highly recommend spending it at a place that actually cares about the customer.

I recently had an eye exam and purchased glasses from Pearle Vision and I cannot say enough about the quality of the experience I had there. The exam was excellent with great dialogue with the doctor and the assistance I received from the other people working there was first class. My glasses got lost at UPS and Matt kept me informed on the progress in locating them. That communication was far beyond what I would have expected. I went back today and the young lady who adjusted my glasses did an excellent job and was extremely pleasant. I ended up buying another pair of glasses for golfing. While on vacation, my wife accidentally stepped on her glasses and broke the rubber off of the nose piece. I Googled some places that were nearby and read some reviews. I decided to visit here. WHAT A GREAT DECISION I MADE. I walked in without an appointment and was helped right away. The lady took the glasses, walked to the back, replaced both nose pieces (even though only 1 was needed) and I was out of the store in 5 minutes. I didnt have to pay 1 cent. Very courteous lady and place was very clean and updated. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!

While wal mart was unhelpful Pearle Vision was a godsend that was helpful in a way I couldnt expect. I was almost brought to a tear by the kindness & excellent service provided to a tourist who would be gone in a few days! I encourage all to support this great vision center! I know if I lived here I would! They are great ambassadors for myrtle beach!

I needed to replace my glasses this last summer. From the start, there was no feeling of pushy salespeople, simply customer service at its best! Katlyn helped me choose the perfect frames. My prescription was from another optician, and Matt took the time to make sure it worked for me. He double checked the lenses and fit of the frame, and even went so far as to schedule an eye exam with Dr. Collette, at no additional fee. Additionally, I needed my glasses three days earlier than scheduled due to a last-minute trip out of town. Matt had them ready. I am a very satisfied customer and will return to Pearle Vision at Coastal Grand for all of my optical needs. They are first-rate!

Professional, Courteous, Honest, & Pleasant. I originally went to a wholesale place to get my glasses, but that company made my glasses incorrectly 3 times. I was very discouraged and did not know where else to go. I went online and researched local eyeglass stores. After reading the reviews, I chose to go to this Pearle Vision. From the moment I walked in, I felt very comfortable. Catlin greeted me right away and listened to my situation. She gave me some different options and was very thorough when explaining them to me. A few minutes later the manager, Matt, came over, introduced himself and went a little further in details on the options that I had. I explained to them that I would have to come back with my wife to help me pick out my frames. When I left, they had no idea if I would ever return. I came back a few days later with my wife. When I walked in, the manager, Matt, greeted me by my first name. To me, this shows how professional and caring they are to remember me by my first name after seeing multiple customers over the past couple of days that had passed. Matt was very helpful with helping us pick out some frames for me. At no time did anyone try to upsell me on something that I didnt need. They actually told me to stay away from some upgrades because they would make my situation worse. I picked up my completed glasses two days later and I have been happy ever since. Delays, delays & delays in getting my glasses in to the store. It may be the lab, but it someone who cares about the customer also. It appears it is not at the store level.

My fiance lost his glasses while we were on vacation and this Pearle Vision location went out of their way to help him get a trial size of his contact lens prescription to get him through his last couple of days of our trip. I highly recommend them to both vacationers and locals.

I just bought a pair of progressve lenses here. Tammy Looney was the person that helped me initially. She was so sweet and attentive and showed me eyewear in a variety of prices starting from the lowest to the more expensive designer collection. I expresses some concerns about my eyes and she was very helpful and knowledgeable. She fitted me with the lenses and they were ready inside of a week. When I went back to pick them up everybody was so polite and friendly and made sure the glasses fit JUST RIGHT!! Easiest pair of glasses I have ever purchased. Very happy customer and I highly recommend them.Oh yes... at another time, several years back I walked in there and asked if they could adjust my slightly bent frameless glasses. Without a moments hesitation, it was taken care of. No fuss, no muss.

If I had know this place was as great as they were...I would have left Lens Crafters Years ago and started using them. They took me right in, they were not pushy..and customer service is top of the line!...They never rushed me and really went out of the way to make sure I got what I wanted before hounding about money.
