One Dr. said I needed cataract surgery when returning for a follow up exam I was told by the other DR. I didnt need it I needed to get this super expensive treatment that Insurance dont cover it involved washing your eyelids so he gave me the stuff I went out to pay and noticed everyone leaving had the same bag of stuff RIP OFF I paid my bill in full $339. And continue to watch the same thing over and over while waiting for my Husband.Today 6months later I get a bill for $109 Never going there again Money hungry business

First I want to start off by saying that dr. Collins is an extremely great dr. She takes the time to listen to you explain symptoms you may be experiencing and thoroughly asks and makes sure that you get the correct prescription for your eyes. I think she is wonderful and definitely recommend her for eye care for anyone. 💕💕

What an awesome experience; great customer service from start to finish. Both times I called to initially make and reschedule my appointment they were so helpful. The building is beautiful inside and out and kept clean. I wish I had caught the name of the lady who did all the exam part - she was incredible. She explained each part of the exam so that I knew what to expect. Dr. Weshefsky was awesome - such a fun personality plus he thoroughly explained everything. I didn’t feel rushed at all and was able to ask all the questions I had.

Exceptional and thorough service and care from appointment scheduling, checkin, screenings, exam, discussion and overview of exam results, prognosis, and eye wear selecting. I had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend them for your Eyecare needs.

Absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. Had a bit of an eye emergency that could have led to something very serious. Extremely grateful that the receptionist was able to squeeze me in on such short notice, she saved me from a surprise visit to the ER. Very professional and quick! Complete eye exam in 30 minutes, no rushing you through the exam. Could allow you to wait inside for appointment especially when raining outside, I dont understand their rationale for this process.

Bait and switch. Quote you one price and try and bill you much more. Super rude people. Especially the two males in reception and in the eye glass side. One called my 16 year old daughter rude. I would rather go blind then go to this place again.

As far as the eye exam, everything about the doctors was professional, the rest of the staff leave a lot to be desired. They use a billing company to file for insurance such as Blue Cross and Medicare and they do a very sloppy, slow job. Two months after being seen in the office and paying in full, and the bill has not been filed with Medicare or Blue Cross. Not patient friendly service at all. All of the services they perform are not billed to insurances at all and you are not informed up front of that, even though charges of the same amounts are charged to insurances as seen on their item statements. Looks like they double bill for some of their services, so they are double paid.

This practice is fantastic. Every employee was happy and sooo nice. Truly enjoyed my visit today. Will recommend to all!!

Rude staff. Turned off the lights on us, to close the facility 10 minutes early, as they explained how they could help us on a future visit. We just wanted to see what name brand frames they had available. Won’t be back. 😉😏

Great experience, staff was friendly and courteous and this was by far the most comprehensive eye exam I have had in years! Clean place, state of the art equipment. And I’m loving my new contact lenses. They are multi focal which can be very hard to have a satisfactory experience using - but this new lens is great. I’m glad I found this practice!

I went to Carolina Forest Family Eyecare for years and I have always had an amazing experience each time. The staff are nice and for someone who isnt very social, they know the right amount of small talk. If I didnt move out of the state, I would still continue to go to this eyecare.

These folks are great! Going to CFFE, I actually look forward to my eye check-ups. They always have the newest technology so I feel very confident that they’ll have an accurate reading of my eye health. Everyone is really friendly, from the front staff to the nurses and doctors. Dr. Weshefsky tells you everything he’s looking at with the charts and pictures and helps make sure you really understand. If you order glasses they’ll go through your insurance with you so you don’t get any surprise charges. I’ve had lots of bad doctors before that made me feel uncomfortable or like they didn’t care, but I never feel that way here. I highly recommend them!

I love the new building! The parking situation is much better and the building is nice and clean! The staff are always helpful and cheerful. The prices for the frames and exams are reasonable. When you get your receipt, you know exactly what you are paying for so there are no surprises. I have been going here for years and will continue to because I love this place!

I moved here recently from San Diego, CA and needed to find a new eye doctor. I read the reviews on Google and Yelp to help me make a decision. I chose Carolina Forest Family Eyecare and Im glad I did. I have suffered from dry eye from Sjogrens for about 5 years and was getting worse. Dr. Weshefsky and his staff were very pleasant, efficient and thorough in their exam and will be performing more exams to determine the best plan for my situation. Dr. W explained the problem and listened to what I had to say, giving me options as to what could be done. I was impressed with the up-to-date equipment and technology used and glad to see that they kept visual records of their findings, not just written notes. Being able to see and keep all those images would surely help immensely in making future decisions about my eye care. I would recommend them to anyone who needs to have a new eye specialist.

I have been wearing progressive lenses for years and they are not cheap. I spend most of my day in front of a computer monitor and started experiencing neck pain and blurriness. I tried several times raising, lowering and re-positioning my chair and monitor to no avail. After discussing my problem with Dr. Weshefsky, and some further vision testing, he knew right away what I needed. It was recommended that I try work station lenses to increase that sweet spot my everyday progressives do not provide enough of. After hesitating to spend extra money on a second pair of glasses, I went ahead and purchased them. The minute I put them on for work I was AMAZED at the difference. No more neck pain or frustration from looking up and trying to view the screen. I highly recommend these for fellow progressive wearers that spend a lot of time in front of a monitor!

Youre first impression of this place is that there is almost always no place to park! But thats a minor thing as Im a younger person and can walk. The staff is friendly, competent, and professional. Thanks to their customer service efforts they were able to work with me and my insurance company to help put me in the glasses that pleased me.

I have NEVER had a more comprehensive eye exam. Dr. Weshefsky is very patient and explains so much to you. The technician that ran all my testing was so knowledgeable and kind. Then there was Miss Lynn, who picked out a perfect frame for me. I am a new patient and I will never go anywhere else again.

It is very rare that I write reviews that are negative but after 3 separate negative experiences with this group I felt it was necessary to share my experience. As for the quality of care there are no issues, in fact the office is clean, well kept, up to date with new equipment and the practitioner is knowledgeable. The issue is with, in my opinion, the unethical approach to charging consumers, unwillingness to notify patients of charges BEFORE a service is provided as well as the horrific customer service provided by the front desk support staff. Additionally the practitioner, has on 2 different occassions, with different family members, recommended very expensive procedures or supplies to correct vision while other options are available. You feel like you are getting a sales pitch when you go. On 2 separate occassions I have had to fight to get money returned to me due to overbilling by the office. We use eyecare insurance where pricing and/or discounts are set but this office refuses to provide them until you bring it up and then have to fight to have them implement them. In both of my situations my insurance provider had to step in to insure my billing was adjusted properly. Another issue is with the inability of staff to double check on concerns with the Dr. When asking questions or concerns a mistake or problem may have occurred the response you get is a cold, annoyed response of well that is what the dr wanted... This particular practice seems to be quite expensive, at times very unprofessional, and uncaring. The most concernable issue is that this practice seems very focused on dollars. There is always a balance in health care of providing ethical service while making a profit. Practitioners need to balance both to be successful. So far it seems the scales lean toward profits over care at this location.

Excellent practice! Dr. Weshefsky was thorough, efficient, and provided me with enough information to make decisions regarding my eye health. He is clearly a knowledgeable and caring optamologist. Further, I truly appreciate a practice that is timely with their appointments. My appointment was at 1pm, and I was seen at 1:02pm!

I had the pleasure of visiting Carolina Forest eyecare. Dr. Weshefsky was amazing. He explained everything very simply to me. He did not rush my visit. IVE NEVER HAD A BETTER EXPERIENCE AT ANY DOCTORS OFFICE BEFORE! Dr. W and his adorable staff were all so eager to help, their costumer service was just outstanding. As soon as I walked in the door I was taken back by the warm welcome. They offered me coffee and water while I sat filling out the forms and even came out from behind the desk to help me fill in a bit of information I didnt quite understand and there is even optional info you can fill out that is there just to get to know you better which really MADE ME FEEL IMPORTANT TO THEM. It was only a minute after I finished filling out paper work when I was called to start. Everything went by so quickly and easily. When it was time to choose my frame his staff already knew what would look best on me. I COULDNT ASK FOR BETTER SERVICE!

Dr. Weshefskys entire staff - billing, front desk and pre-screening - is friendly, professional and trustworthy. The doctor himself is one of the best eye doctors I have ever known. It is hard to say enough about the entire practice because it is so good.

Dr. Weshefsky is not ordinally eye doc like they quick check your eye sight and eye conditions. He is way step higher, having high volume of knowledge and surprise you. He showed me the pic of my eye in his PC screen, very big pic and explained me a lot of things. I actually didn’t know eye shows sign of diabetic, brain tumor, even choresterol that I didn’t know. Highly highly recommend to everyone!

A very positive experience from my first phone contact with Dr. Weshefskys practice thru all the eye testing to having all my questions, concerns and being shown the big important factor of seeing a Honest, Informative, Trustworthy doctor. Dr. Weshefsky and his staff definately exceeded all my expectations and would most definitely recommend to anyone seeking an Honest Practice and not an imitation business like run eye center.

I have never been to a place with such disrespectful, unprofessional, and rude employees. I will not give all the names, but I will make sure I spread the word on how terrible this place is. When I go into my Doctors office I should feel comfortable and welcomed, not the complete opposite. Lets just say Anita was very rude when my mom was telling her about the prices from another place and how expenisve it was. She replied back saying, I dont care, just get on with it. From my experience here, I suggest dont even waste your time or money. Due to the lack of knowledge and ignorance of the employees here I will be finding another place to go!

Im a retired physician and Ive had itchy dry eyes for many years and have seen optometrists and ophthalmologists in the past, Dr Weshefsky however, was the first person to recognize that a significant portion of my blepharitis was due to demodex infection, which had not been diagnosed by other practitioners. They have my highest recommendation !!

Beware do not go here my husband and I both came here and after exam we were charged $30 for an extra X-ray never approved made them deduct it also another $30 for a mandatory something to prevent scratching because they had too many people coming back in with scratches on lenses wasn’t needed, o and lol when calling was told they have the largest selection of designer frames NOT no Kate spade,Coach etc I know I should have just asked for my Rx and left please do not make the mistake of going here

Im a physician so have some insight on being provided good care. The care that I received by Dr. Weshefsky and his staff was exceptional. I have suffered with keratoconus for some time now and this is the first time since she was born that I am able to recognize my daughters face amongst other things with my affected eye- its truly life changing. Dr. W has a passion for what he does and not only did he explain everything but he did in understandable terms and he did it with patience. He had no aversion to questions unlike many in the health care field. My final lens fit perfectly and his staff took the time to train me to put in and remove the lenses, supplying all the equipment I would need. Since going to Dr. W I have referred patients to him and will continue to do so and my only hope is that he never retires or moves from the the area. Restoring vision is one of the greatest gifts one can give to another and I truly owe Dr. Weshefsky more than the services cost.
