We were shopping to replace our leaking dishwasher. The showroom is beautifully setup and displayed. Russ is resourceful, responsive and provide good recommendation on the alternative due to global supply chain issue on a long lead time brand. The purchasing process was quick, easy and flexible. I can do the entire purchase online with the information provided by Russ. This is a good shopping experience compare to those big store which sell everything and the sales are not expert on anything.

Great experience from top to bottom! After several hours of Internet research and a few useless trips to well known big box retailers to find a washer and dryer, I called these guys and got what I needed right away. Russell in the Montclair location was very friendly and knowledgeable about all of the brands and able to answer all of my questions confidently and credibly. A Cut Above the Rest! My husband and I visited the Montlcair showroom which is very beautiful. You will be met by gorgeous high-end appliances all around you and will be greeted by an expert guide who makes sure you are in the know. Russ was our consultant who helped us with all things appliances. My husband and I were on a time crunch and a budget crunch to close on a house. We needed a stove, a fridge, a dishwasher, and a washer- dryer set. It can be scary to spend a pretty penny. But when you are given the knowledge and options by someone who knows how to get you the best appliances for your budget, it speaks volumes about customer service that you cant get anywhere else. Russ was amazing in listening to our needs and pretty much guided us in choosing the best appliance with our preferred specs, our budget, and time crunch. Russ really took all of our stress and converted it to only solutions. He arranged for a delivery date that was pretty much impossible considering real world supply line delays. Our entire Designer Appliances experience was pleasant, from start to finish. We had been managing without a refrigerator for 3 weeks (yes, in August) because one of the big chain stores misled us about the availability of our replacement order. We contacted Joe, who found exactly one 42 Monogram refrigerator in the entire US that had a great reputation for reliability and was perfect for our space. Delivery was promised in 4 days, and while we crossed our fingers for each one of them, Joe delivered - literally - with his crew showing up at 8 am to remove the old box and within 2 hours we were chilling down the new refrigerator. We recommend DA to anyone who wants an honest appliance dealer, and to Joe in particular for his personal oversight of our predicament. Youll be in good hands.

I had a wonderful experience looking at kitchen appliances in the Montclair showroom with Russel Berta helping us. Even after going to larger showrooms with more affordable appliances, we came back to Russel at Designer Appliances, because we could not beat the quality. I heard of Designer Appliances through a Google Search and was looking to replace my induction range. I ordered a GE induction range directly from their website back in November 2020. Initially, I received an email letting me know that the range would be available on or around 12/15/2020, which I knew wasnt realistic given that every other retailer did not have the specific range I ordered in stock. Within days, I received another email changing the date to 12/26/2020. Every time, the product availability date approached, I would get another email with another date, In 10 months of waiting for my order to be fulfilled, I received emails throughout the year with the following estimated product availability dates: 1/15/2021, 2/2/2021, 3/8/2021, 3/30/2021, 5/4/2021, 6/4/2021, 6/25/2021, 8/13/2021 and 8/20/2021. Throughout my waiting, I called their Customer Service repeatedly and while they were really nice, they were unable to explain why there was such a delay or where I was on the waiting list. The only information they would share was that I was towards the front of the list of over 100 orders for this particular model. Another thing to note is that I would email their customer service and I never received an email in response. I always had to call them to get an answer from them which was very frustrating. After the last estimated date passed at the end of August, I reached out to their customer service again to find out what the new date would be and was told that GE was no longer giving them dates, leaving my order in limbo. I even worked with their sales department to find a comparable range and they were still unable to find anything in stock. Weeks later, on chance, I was on a big box store website and they happened to have the same range that I ordered from Designer Appliances in stock with guaranteed delivery in three weeks. I ordered the range from them and in fact received the range on the delivery date I selected and I ended up cancelling my order with Designer Appliances. They refunded my money very quickly (I received a check within a week of cancelling my order), but overall, I was very unhappy with my experience.

Buyer beware! While we initially had a great experience with Russel (he was upfront and actually suggested components that were cheaper to go with our package), but ultimately got screwed when it came time to deliver.We ordered our appliances in Feb 2021 for delivery in August/September, and even checked in with Russel multiple times across this timeline to which we were told our appliances were being held. When it approached 3 weeks before delivery, we called to set everything up and ONLY 1/5 items in our order were in stock, and were told that there was no delivery date in sight.We called an online competitor and got our appliances for the same price and only had to wait 2 weeks. In speaking with a few people at Designer Appliances, we learned that in fact they had sold our held appliances to someone else. The refund policy was painless as you’d hope, so do want to commend them for that but otherwise, purchase with caution!

We had a broken refrigerator that needed to be replaced (quickly). Russell walked us through the process of what might work and what products worked best for our needs. We left within 30 minutes and have our new appliance on the way in less than 7 days. Price was comparable to big box stores with much better customer service. Will use them going forward when other appliances need to be replaced.

I cant say enough about the customer service Designer Appliances provides. We recently purchased a Bosh refrigerator and within a few months we had issues with the ice maker. Bosh claimed the part was backordered. even with Covid the wait time was excessive. Thats where Joe, and Megan stepped in. They used their industry contacts and had the parts I needed overnighted. Once the parts arrived they schedule the repair. Im happy to say my fridge is back up and running. Five stars to Designer Appliances. Run, run, run away from Designer Appliances!What a disreputable firm this is. We purchased all new appliances in May, 2020, totaling $6400. They were delivered in September, as the kitchen was being completed. The stove was broken upon delivery. Someone had dropped it, and the leveling foot and mount are broken. Our calls and emails were ignored by Designer Appliances. Months and months, and still no response and a broken stove for the holidays. Today, January 28th, the broken stove is still here in my kitchen.Now for the dishwasher. It worked the first time, and each time thereafter, an error message kept coming up, and the dishwasher wouldnt run. After months of calling Designer Appliances, the Bosch dishwasher tech was supposed to come on December 9th. He didnt show up until December 22. He changed the main board, and now the machine is totally useless.Horrendous customer service and tech support. Run away.

Promised me a delivery within 1 week since they had the vacuum in stock. It’s been 2 weeks later and no vacuum or phone call. I called them today and told me they would deliver it next week. I told them I need it by Saturday or I need a refund. Megan said Tuesday is the earliest they can do and said we can refund you. Horrible customer service!!!!! I could have ordered it from Amazon and would have been here faster and a better price!!!!!!

Horrible Customer Service - rude, unresponsive and entirely unwilling to assist. Eileen - had no trouble disconnecting the call purposely after requesting to speak to management. Clearly part of the companys acceptable culture. Truly a shame. One thing I will give your company credit for, youve inspired me...inspired me to find every media outlet I can to warn every consumer about your firm and my experience. Thank you for allowing me to experience your service, or lack thereof before I actually spent thousands of dollars enriching your bottom line. If quality service is important to you, think much over before making this company your choice.****Update**** Thank you for responding but unfortunately youve overlooked the critical nature of the matter. I was more than willing to provide your service rep a NY/NJ address where it could be delivered but she found it much easier to disconnect the call. Your delivery limitations are not in question, your service and business culture are. At minimum, you have been made aware - I am certain this is not the first you hear from a customer with these concerns. Its your bottom line / your business. In the market for a washer/dryer, I looked on line at the warehouse type stores. The weather was lousy and I did not feel like driving any distance. So I went to see what my local Designer Appliances had and met with Russell. I had a list of specific models and he was able to give me comparisons, prices, and advice. I decided to look no further. The prices were very reasonable and the fact that delivery, installation, and removal were not additionally charged was an absolute deal maker. There was no pressure to make an immediate decision. Russell emailed spec sheets and quotes for the various models I was interested in and I was able to purchase my choice over the phone. The items are in stock and delivery is scheduled for this week. A very pleasurable experience.

Awful. Seven months still no refrigerator or oven hood. The stove that we received was not what we originally ordered. When we spoke to our sales associate he said he picked this one out since the one we chose was no longer available. We are not happy with the stove and we are especially not happy that we’ve been without a refrigerator for this long. I was told today that they STILL don’t have a delivery date (ordered in July - we were told we would have our appliance by August). They said, “probably another 3-4 weeks”. That’s been their answer since August. When asked about accountability on their end they reply with, “There’s nothing we can do.”

I cant speak to the delivery and installation side yet, because I just placed my order, but the customer service on this side of the process was fantastic. Joseph was extremely helpful and patient and helped me find the perfect products for my specifications, price range, and preferred dates of delivery, even staying on the phone with me while I measured the space and looked at product reviews on different sites. I am really looking forward to my new fridge and oven, which look fantastic on paper, and really appreciate how affordable installation will be -- much more so than Home Depot, Best Buy, etc.!
