Usually, I look forward to taking my car to the mechanic as much as I look forward to going to the dentist. However, the team at BG Automotive made my most recent car repair experience absolutely painless. They were understanding, professional, great at communication, and explained everything thoroughly. On top of that, theyre using modern technology so I received a detailed report via both text and email listing everything that needed to be worked on, as well as everything that theyd checked that was doing just fine. I took my car in to be potentially aligned and to have my oil changed. The service was top notch... I left my car and was at Bible Study all morning and couldnt answer my phone for update.. I got a text from them with a link... and OMG there was a video of under my car showing where there was a slight problem...there were photos of what they checked out on the car with complete report of all the problems and even potential problems that may need tended to in the near future....and they had it done just when promised. This is my new place to service my car... Very satisfied.

I took my 1964 Land Cruiser here. Had them do an estimate for body work and then a vehicle inspection while it was there.It was a nice, interesting system that they text you their findings and it feels pretty transparent.After reviewing the list of things they found, I let them know which things I was comfortable with them proceeding with (some body work, a battery, tie rod ends).Since its an old truck, they said it would take time to find the parts, which is understandable. So I picked up the vehicle while they sorted that out.Unfortunately, I did not hear back from them. Its been a couple of months.UPDATE/EDIT: They saw and read my review and reached out to me to let me know they had the wrong email for me.So Ill definitely say thats a good sign that they are willing to go the extra mile to read feedback and then act on it.

They diagnosed and fixed an intermittent starting issue which isn’t always easy to do. They were courteous, fair, competent and kept me informed through the process. Definitely going back.These guys keep me on the road. They are knowledgeable, competent,, friendly and easy to work with. I love the fact that without any pressure they let me know what else needs to be done soon or down the road so I can plan. I have never had a single issue with anything they have worked on. The quality of their work is excellent and their prices are reasonable. I’m glad my son-in-law recommended them to me.

The mechanics at B&G Auto are absolutely amazing!!! My 2016 Camry had a horrible clunking noise from hitting a dip in the the blizzard. I spent $1000 on new struts & ball joints at another shop only to have the clunk still there!! After 6 months of driving with this horrible sound I took to B&G. They worked endlessly for 2 days -- ALL the guys in the shop worked on this car. Nothing was obvious. They finally detected it was the metal cowl in the back of the engine compartment!!! These guys did NOT give up! They were not going to let this car go without finding the solution. Now I can drive my new car in peace again!! :-) I will recommend these guys to everyone I know.

I broke a lug nut stud while changing a tire. I was scheduled for a trip leaving the very next day. Uh oh! BG Auto to the rescue! They fit me in to replace the stud that same day and charged a reasonable fee. Very professional too! Highly recommended 👍

So pleased were bringing our Camry back for further work this month. Also, bringing our Corolla in this month for a realignment. Took my pickup in for a cv boot replacement. They did a thorough check and found out I needed to replace the output shaft and axle due to a design flaw. They explained everything and then fixed it with the updated parts, so I shouldnt have the same issue again. Auto repairs are expensive... thats just a reality. Its important to have someone you can trust, and I trust these guys. Very professional from start to finish, and I have no doubt they will stand behind their work.

It can be hard to find a mechanic that is both technically adept and communicative/friendly. These guys cover it all and then some. We bring our work vehicle to them with complex issues on a tight schedule and they always come through. Just their diagnostic process is indicative of the level of professionalism they bring to bear on the rest of their work. Top notch folks.

Someone stole my spare tire so I called them to see about a replacement. They found the same size tire+wheel at a salvage yard so I didnt have to pay full price for a stock one. Saved me ~$400. And they installed it for a very reasonable price.Front desk folks were pleasant & helpful. Everyone seemed very professional.

I was very skeptical and unsure about trying an unknown repair shop for my vehicle alignment. They were recommended by Discount Tire and I thought I would give them a try with their free alignment inspection. After discussing what they found, I decided to just let them do a full alignment and see. To my surprise, the car drives and steers better than it has the entire time Ive owned it! It doesnt have power steering from the factory and it used to take some effort to steer. Now it almost feels like it has power steering and drives beautifully. I also received a full inspection report with pictures. In the end, I would highly recommend BG Automotive.

Very professional and thorough. Before going to BG Auto every time I’d take a vehicle to the other alignment shops in town they would always tell me that I’d need a bunch of new parts before they could align the vehicle. BG took the time to look everything over on my car and showed me the parts that will eventually need replacing and were able to align my car without trying to up sell me. The shop is cleaner than most restaurants around town. Definitely be back to BG for all my auto repairs from now on.

In town from IL visiting family and lost the brakes, BG was around the corner. They accommodated my timeline and need for to-and-from transportation. I asked for a lot of information re work that had been done by someone else and what they proposed. Michael took the time to thoroughly answer the questions and did not rush through when I kept bringing up something else. Most of all, there was no sense of the used car salesman aura about the place as there is so often when getting repairs at a dealership.

Just went in for a wheel alignment after I replaced some things on the front end. Professional, courteous, and in a decent location near restaurants if you dont mind walking around. Price was reasonable too. I like that they checked out other things on the car. They indicated the rear brake pads were getting thin and should be replaced. No pressure to purchase anything from them besides what we agreed upon earlier. Wheel alignment was done well and I would have no reservations about going there for other issues.

They did a diagnostic test said they found the problem fixed it said check engine light was off two blocks down the road and $726.00 later the light comes back on I took it back they replaced another part and $256.00 later the light is still on. Now they want me to take it back and charge me more money. Very poor quality work I wouldn’t recommend these Mechanics to the Taliban. Sad and no morals of doing what’s right.

Every city big or small needs a mechanic that you can go to and just talk to for a second and feel like they are listening to you and get to the bottom of problems and just help you out. These are the guys and gals they checked my engine light and fixed it with their computer for free. Guess where I’m going next time I have a real issue and everyone there was super nice. After BG did an amazingly comprehensive examination of my ML350 (new to them), they fulfilled a reasonable substantial replacement of shocks and struts all-round. Ive learned - from this car - that a digital camera can get where no eye or hand could ever penetrate to see. Yes, I check up on the things that are done maintaining this ride, and these guys are excellent. And, their ace technician worked 2-hours late on a Friday to assure me that I was not without wheels for the weekend. THIS is the way Pros should operate, and BG steps up to the plate with a stellar performance every time.

On the late afternoon of New Years Eve I noticed a fuel leak on my diesel Sprinter van. I called at 4:30pm to see if these guys could help. Being a holiday there wasnt much they could do until the Monday following. I took the van there on Monday and they quickly diagnosed the problem. After the parts arrived I was back on the road. The kicker was Longmont is not my home and I had 1,700 miles to drive. Once I left Longmont I would not return. I am happy to report the problem was fixed and I have had no further issue with the fuel lines. If I ever have a mechanical problem I may drive back to Longmont to get these guys to help me. Im also hoping they move to the DC area so I dont have to go so far for repairs. Thanks for the care, Ethan and crew!

I just finished writing a rave review of BG. Im frustrated that the Google review system discarded all of my text when I tried to skip posting a photo along with my comments and before I selected a Star Rating.. I dont have time to recreate it all. In short, Ive received outstanding service on my Jeep Wrangler in 2021 and Aliner Camper in 2020. Im a 55 year resident of Boulder Valley, and during that time and through the ownership of many cars, BG is now my favorite automotive repair shop.

I have been assessing the local automotive repair and maintenance garages so I could avoid traveling to the Mercedes dealerships for quality services. I asked BG to look at my shocks and struts, and because they were not familiar with my well-cared-for ML350, they asked to review the vehicle in an overall sense - but not spend excessive time. In about an hour I received an accurate detailed electronic report that went far beyond any other vehicle assessment report I have ever received. Their assessment of my shocks and structs was exactly what the dealerships had stated, but BG provided precise photos of the leakage. They provided a photo of my brake fluid reservoir, revealing a dangerous condition there, and even had a photo of a screw in my front tire that was certainly news to me. The staff demonstrated professionalism that far exceeded any other establishment that I visited, and this the level of attentiveness and expertise I have been seeking. I am very glad I found BG.

They repaired the heater panels which had become worn and would no longer operate to bring heat into the cabin and this malfunction occurred during a mandatory fire evacuation from Estes Park. The repair cost only two-thirds of estimates from other repair shops. I felt a sincere sense of trust in the diagnosis and the technicians were excellent. I will definitely consider them for all mechanical needs. Really appreciated the photos with the diagnostic.

I got a used car inspection to determine what my car needs done. They sent an extremely detailed report, with photos of every area they suggested needed work, why it was needed and the benefits. Very pleasant to work with. The quotes seemed a bit high, but you get what you pay for, I would say it is worth it to work with a reliable shop

I was in need of an in depth vehicle inspection prior to the purchase at a dealership and BG Auto went out of their way to thoroughly inspect the vehicle since I was 2 hours away from the dealership. Mind you they inspected a modified performance vehicle (Supercharged Roush Ford Raptor) and helped work with arranging the appointment with the dealer.Overall they offered above and beyond customer service! I highly recommend and will recommend BG Automotive.

I am not sure How to leave this review. And I was very hesitant to leave this review as I am not one to talk bad about any one. The men here were very polite and kind to me when I came in. Spoke to me in a professional manner. My truck broke down on the highway on my way to Lowry so we pulled it in to the nearest shop wich happened to be BG AUTOMOTIVE. They took over a week to look at it. Im sure it was because they had alot of cars to inspect prior to mine. I was told when I was there It would be a 136 dollar fee to look at it. However a week later I get a call that it would cost me close to 500 just to take everything apart to get a better look. I said ok thats fine. I received a report online explaining how the timing belt was messed up and that since it had no oil It more than likely messed up the pistons and caused damage to the engine. Mike called me (hes very nice) explaining this information to me. He then proceeded to tell me that they looked for this engine but it was so rare because of the supper charge that they found one in Oregon, and that a fix like this would cost me approx 10 thousand dollars. I told him to just leave it, and I just paid 370 because they found an easier way to take it apart. My dad then went for my truck. Took it to his mechanic where they replaced the timing belt and water pump. The truck was fixed in 2 days. For waaay less than 10 thousand. Im not mad about the money Its just a principal. I was given a wrong diagnosis and Im sure they tried to extort me for 10Gs, perhaps they seen me as an imbecil. I would not reccomend this business.

My new mechanic Ethan was extremely friendly and helpful. My car is old and had quite a few issues, the inspection they did after having a “friend” replace my engine, and thrash my car in the process, was extremely thorough and I am absolutely impressed with my whole experience there. The next day after getting my vehicle back I had a non related issue and he checked it out at no cost to me. I 100% recommend this place for any service or repairs.

The guys at BG Automotive have hands down the best customer of any mechanic shop I have ever dealt with. Ethan, was my service advisor. He was up front, informative and very communicative. My mothers ram 3500 had a check engine light come on, we had it diagnosed at a ram dealer in boulder. They decided the truck needed a new turbo and control module. They quoted an astronomical rate to do the repair. I decided to take the truck to BG Automotive for a second opinion. Turns out, the turbo and control module did indeed need to be replaced. My mother is a horse trainer and regularly needs to tow an 8 horse trailer fully loaded to all parts of the country. She was on a time crunch to get the truck up and running. Not only did Ethan and the guys quote a much much much better rate on the repair, they included upgraded parts. They worked their butts off to get the truck repaired in an extremely short period of time, all the while being extremely cordial and friendly. When some unforeseen parts needed to be replaced near the end of the repair, they managed to acquire the parts, but it added some time to the repair. They had told us they would have the truck done Friday, and they still made it happen. They worked after hours Friday afternoon to ensure they kept their promise with us. I dont know of any shop on the face of this planet that would even consider staying after hours to finish a job! I can not praise these guys enough for what they did to ensure a fair price, absolutely outstanding customer service and on time delivery. Even with the tight deadline, they made time to clean the interior and exterior of the truck. Outstanding Job Guys, we will take all our business back to you!!

The team was super knowledgeable and friendly, I came in for a quick suspension job, simply compressing the coilover springs onto the struts that I already had off of the car. Left with the built struts within 30 minutes, thanks guys!

Had a turbo sound that was very hard to diagnose. Turns out it was a loose boot on the firewall. It took them 4 hours or more to detect the problem but they did not charge me anything for the service.

Replaced my crankshaft sensor on my 09 kia sportage. They took me in with the possibility of maybe getting my car done the next day after I had it towed there after hours. To my suprise, it was ready by noon. Good value, good time management, helpful service people at front and a great attitude from everyone I came in contact with. I will definitely be a return customer and look forward to referring them out.
