Great prices on maintenance. And i love the various free inspections they offer. Being able to schedule an appointment by hour is definitely a plus as most places have you drop off your vehicle for the whole day. Multiple in some cases. I was disappointed however in repair pricing. The labor seems fair but parts are marked up to about double the price of autozone or advanced and the like. I understand a markup for profit but double? They also seem to forget a few minor details while trying to be efficient. Cap covers on tires and the like. Overall a trustworthy service garage.

Brakes Plus is great. A year ago they resurfaced my front rotors and replaced break pads. I appreciated that they were honest and told me a lot of brakes didn’t need done and saved me a bunch of money. I’ve continued to come back for smaller things like alignment. I like this business because I feel like I can trust them.

I stopped in to get my brakes taken care of. During that service, they noticed (and quoted) my suspension needs. I took it back in the following week and was at first dismayed that they called me back with an entirely new quote that differed from the one prior. I desperately needed an alignment on my vehicle. Went to Big O with a toddler in tow, was told to sit and wait for 3 hours only to be told they couldnt do it because of supposed parts in the front end being no good (I had just replaced my entire front end). During an unrelated visit to Peerless, one of their guys referred me to Brakes Plus to get that alignment taken care of. My husband brought my vehicle down without an appointment, and was able to get the alignment done, plus they were able to catch a busted wheel bearing as well and replaced it for a very decent price! My husband says the employee worked through his lunch break to get it done. I cannot thank you enough for your hard work!!!

The service was excellent. I was greeted in a friendly welcoming way by Brakes Plus representative Kenna. After evaluating my vehicle, she was quick to give me quote for brakes and rotors all the way around. The amount of the quote was a good price using good parts. The job was done in a day. I had multiple conversations with the rep, she knew her stuff about the vehicle, the parts, the work being done and how it was to be done. They were friendly and very educational and being a female, its hard getting a mechanic to explain whats going on and how things happen. They have worked with me on pricing and they do stand behind their work. I really do recommend this shop for any car needs! They definitely are ones I trust!

Ken Stillwell and the team (4 guys total) took the time to help me out with a battery when I was in need right before closing time. They could have turned me away and taken the car in the morning, but they handled it right away. They were all professional, knowledgeable, and friendly and I could not be more appreciative!

Three other Longmont auto repair places did not have time to make a simple repair. Breaks Plus took my car in right away and made the necessary repair in 15 minutes at a reasonable price. Awesome service!

Got my brakes done here about a month ago...they could see that I was trying to stick to a budget so the guy bought my brake pads!! Waste of time and money! I had a loose parking break. Unfortunately I paid for the labor to fix the problem and they didn’t get the job done at all. They had none sense explanation of which why they couldn’t fix it. They’re either not experienced or they’re scam. I came to them because they’re cheaper than Toyota itself but now I’ll have go to Toyota anyway.. I’ll end up paying for the same fix twice because they were unable to do it and still charged me for it.To be fair the two stars I’m giving here are because they were so welcoming and nice and I got an appointment right away. But I don’t recommend them at all.. totally waste of money.

My brakes and struts needed a lot of work. They got it all done andy car rides smooth now. The rattle sound is all gone.

I took my car there for repair because other places had a long waiting period and John was able to get my car up and running in a day. This place is great I highly recommend it. Very quick service. The manager was extremely friendly and helpful. Didn’t try to upsell me on anything and got the job done and I was on my way shortly. I had bad shaking in my car when braking and they replaced the rotors and brake pads and even gave me information on a mfg recall. Highly recommend!

Wow, truly great customer service. I had a terrible metal grinding sound when I turned. We were just traveling through and knew the chances of someone diagnosing right away was slim. I think his name was Nick (service manager I believe) heard the situation and gave his own time to get it checked out for our safety. He showed me exactly what was happening and thankfully it was safe to get home. It was obvious he genuinely cared.

This is a great location. The management is super friendly and accommodating. The work is affordable and I don’t ever feel like I’m being up sold.

This Brakes Plus has always been honest, helpful and professional while working on our Toyotas. They dont oversell and do all they can to help at a reasonable cost whether on a minor fix such as a bulb replacement or on a major one such as struts.

Any time I have issues/upkeep on a car, I come to this Brakes Plus. They’re the best and very helpful. Being a person that is not very knowledgable about cars, they help me understand what is wrong and what needs to be fixed. In the past I’ve gotten engine mounts and spark plugs etc. from this place and I love them. This time I went in for an oil change and Kenna check my brakes but then told me that my rotors need to be changed ☹️. She brought me back to show me what was wrong with them and compared them to the front ones (that were fine) so I could see the difference. Damn dealership sold me a car with spent rotors 😡. Anyway she was very helpful and I will definitely keep coming here and recommending it to all my friends.

Thanks to Ken we will not be going to this location. We were treated so rudely and he intentionally took all day to to get my simple oil change done. Used to love this place until his interaction.Got there at 8:55AM to drop my car off for a routine oil change and tire rotation. When I arrive, they can’t find me in the system. I’m for sure I made my appointment because it was a week in advance and I live in Loveland (this location is in Longmont). The tech smugly says “you’re on the call list because your appointment was at 8AM”. I said that must be a mistake when I made the appointment because I live in Loveland, work at 9AM Saturday in Longmont and got the a-ok to drop my car off before coming in. No way I would agree to be there at 8AM. They were unbelievably rude about it. They said they could get to it at “some point today”. You would think they would be apologetic for their mistake or at least sympathetic, but he just got more short. (If you look at reviews from earlier in the day today, 7/17, youll see other bad experiences like mine)Finally, 2:30 rolls around when Ken calls which is 5.5 hours later. I ask “Great! Got the oil change and tire rotation done? Ken says “yes, we did. Come get it”. On my way to come get it, I get a call 5 minutes later to let me know my tires did not get rotated because “it was not on the paperwork”. I confirmed when I arrived what I was there for.When I bring up how now I’m frustrated because first your employee doesn’t schedule my car for the right time, and now the right things didn’t get serviced?! It sat there all day long and it’s only half done. He exclaims “it’s human error” - which I have no problem with. I work retail and get customer service! I get people make mistakes on the other side even. He, on the other hand, has no sense of customer service or just in-general politeness. I asked that now there are 2 wrongs, how are you going to make it right? He said it’s not their fault. I finally convinced him to get to my tire rotation that day. No call, no nothing to let me know and it’s 4:20pm. My husband stepped in at this point. How professional and mature to play games and not give us a call when it’s just sitting there.He claims the tires were “too bad to rotate” but wouldn’t you have known that immediately looking at the tires? They were not even past the wear bar! I would need new ones for the winter in multiple thousand miles!

Great guys and quick work! They were very nice and checked my engine light, which ended up getting me through emissions. Super thankful for the fast service to get me legal again.

I couldnt be happier with the service. The first time I went there, I went for a wheel alignment. While there, I asked them if they could look at my brakes and see if they could figure out a problem that other mechanics, including the dealership, hadnt been able to solve. Not only did they figure out the problem, but they brought me out to see my car as it was lifted and showed me what was causing it. They told me it wasnt something that needed immediate attention, but would in the future. Fast forward another eight months and I my car was desperately in need of new pads. They were able to get me in that day and had it all taken care of quickly. I cant complain about the price as it was hundreds cheaper than competitors and came with a great warranty.Steven helped me both times Ive been in and each time he was kind, professional, and very helpful.Overall I greatly appreciated the honesty, integrity, and quality of work. I will keep going back and I would recommend this Brakes Plus to anyone.

Great business and staff. Got my front brakes changed and it was faster than I thought it would be. Just waiting to get my rear brakes fixed when I have more money to blow.Update: 6/19/2021I got my rear brakes and power steering pump fixed. A few days later my steering was being like it was when the power steering was out. I went to get it checked on and i had an Uber get there 10 minutes before they finished . John the manager paid the cancellation fee which wasnt much but a huge gesture. Cant recommend this place anymore!!

Great service. Got my shocks and struts replaced on my f150 from 2006.It was long overdueHad a sensor needed looked at and they found the problem rather quickly. Turned out to be a sensor down on the bottom as it related to a parking brake issue that will be fixed for relative low cost. In fact the sensor will be replaced for free as the problem was found during the actual maintenance.Thanks for the exceptional service guys!

The service at this location is incredible. I am an extremely loyal customer to my local mechanic, but they were closed on the weekend that my rotors and breaks became completely shot. I need reliable transportation for taking my dad to doctors visits, and it was simply not an option to wait any longer.I brought my Subaru into the Longmont location of brakes plus and was greeted with such friendliness, expertise, and thoroughness that I was immediately at ease. After a thorough inspection of my vehicle and a short amount of time in the shop, my baby was all fixed! I want to give a huge thank you to the service advisor Mitch McCarthy who did such a fantastic job on my car. He was extremely helpful and made it possible for me to leave with a vehicle safe enough for me to continue taking my dad to his dialysis appointments. After numerous bad experiences with surrounding area repair shops, I was pretty much lost when it came to picking a place for a car repair. Needed my brakes looked at, so I scheduled an appointment online and brought my car in this morning. The store manager, John, met me upon walking in, and I requested their free brake inspection. He went over some price packages with me, and with it being the holidays, I advised him of my ideal budget. Within 20 minutes, they had diagnosed what needed to be done, and they were willing to do all the work at budget price. Three hours later, and the work was done. They knocked down the cost a bit so I paid the exact price I had budgeted for! John is amazing to work with, very friendly and doesn’t try to get you to pay for what you don’t need. I will definitely return to this location, and I’ll highly recommend it to friends and family!

We have been getting work done at this Brakes Plus location for over 10 years & have always been happy with their work & customer service. Our most recent visit for our 2002 dodge truck was no different. Found a puddle of antifreeze in the garage. It turns out that the water pump went out. I went to this location a few weeks back and really enjoyed my experience. I knew my brakes had gotten really bad so I was nervous to take it anywhere, but John at brakes plus made sure my car was taken care of. I wanted a second opinion so he went as far as calling up my grandpa to let him know what was going on. (Because lord knows I couldnt) Honest people, super professional and my car is feeling back to normal and my brakes are working great! Highly recommend if you want a fast, comfortable experience! They even offer to take you home when you drop off your car, free of charge. Fast service too. Thanks guys!!

I highly recommend Brakes Plus in Longmont. There was a mix up with my appointment, however they were still able to squeeze me in for a brake inspection. Mitch was very helpful! He showed me exactly what needed to be replaced and explained in detail. I was only prepared to have an inspection done and wasnt prepared with payment. Mitch offered the shuttle service and drove me to the bank while they worked on my car. I was offered a great deal at Brakes Plus! I originally got my car inspected at Mazda. They wanted to over charge me and told me I needed to have front and rear brakes replaced when I only needed the front! I felt the service at Brakes plus was excellent! Mitch made everything very easy! I will be going back for other services in the future!

We had work done right before COVID-19 shutdown. So when we needed them a year later. We remained completely impressed. Not only did they fix our current issue but helped with the check up on work done a year ago. You don’t find this type of follow up in most places. Can’t recommend this shop enough.

John, the manager at Brakes Plus - Ken Pratt store went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of properly when my alternator and battery died, barely making it to his shop the night before. John also helped me out with a new tire that had an unexpected flat by taking it back to the tire store to get it repaired! John is so amazing!I will be back for future business to get more of this excellent customer service at a MUCH BETTER price than the dealership quoted!

Every time I have come to breaks plus they are always very nice and professional they are fast efficient and very friendly so much so that I decided to get a breaks plus credit card because that is we’re I prefer to have all the general repair and maintenance done on my vehicle if u haven’t been there before I really recommend going there they are the best

Mitch is incredible! He and the guys quickly inspected my car, worked up a quote, and got me approved for a credit card that’s 0% interest for 6 months. John was really helpful. He made sure to thoroughly explain the maintenance that is crucial to my cars health. He took the time out of his day to walk me through the parts of my car that needed replacing and why they needed it. He even took me out to my car so I could see the worn out parts. He was not pressuring me at all and made sure that I was well informed before making a decision. He also laid out all of the possible options and voiced what he recommended (though I appreciate having the other options too). I could tell he really cared for my car. I will definitely be going back again. The entire staff is very kind and patient. One of his colleagues even took the time to give me a ride home while my car was in the shop. He was also very helpful and professional.

Story time!About a month ago I took my Subaru in for a tire rotation and my guys informed me my brakes were going to need replaced soon, they gave me a quote...I went home and cried(not really) but the price was insane. With Christmas right around the corner and multiple kids having birthdays around the same time my husband and I were stressed trying to figure out how we were gonna make everything happen.I went a couple weeks having to drive my car to work-you could hear me coming from blocks away. The grind and squeak was there even without the brakes being pressed, it was so embarrassing and my anxiety was through the roof!We gave these guys a call and Im so glad we did, their customer service was phenomenal, even over the phone and the cost wasnt even close to the quote my guys gave me, they saved us HUNDREDS of dollars and I am so so thankful for them!Its hard to win over my husband and these guys did so. He said everyone was amazing. He came home in a great mood and that never happens after having to spend money on that darn car haha. Its a good thing I wasnt there because I probably would have been walking around crying happy tears and giving everyone uncomfortable hugs.So a huge thanks to John and his crew!!
