Literally wonderful. They fixed my broken bike seat in under 10 minutes. It was inexpensive and they were delightful. I don’t know anything about bikes or expenses related to repairs but I left very happy. :).

They dont rip you off like Long Beach Bicycle Shop does.. They ripped me off last year when they said that the 30 dollars that they charged (for picking up the bike) would be included in the price to repair..Instead... they overcharged $100..... They said I was drug induced! in their rant.. Very unprofessional..

My family had a truly awful experience. Unprofessional and rude is an understatement. My wife and son recently went into the shop to potentially purchase a couple of new bikes but the way they were treated was shocking and alarming. I have heard some horror stories about this place but I didnt expect to see it for myself. They didnt have the best quality of bicycles anyway as all of my bikes rusted within the first year. All I can recommend is to steer clear and go to a real bike shop that will treat you as a customer with the respect you deserve. We went to Brands cycle and got 2 amazing bicycles and the employees were exemplary.

Chuck was incredibly knowledgeable and explained what work he was going to do for my tune-up. Then, as he was going over the bike he called me to let me know hed found other things that made sense to address but didnt want me to be surprised by the bill. I actually was surprised, but mainly because it was less then I was expecting. Already planning to bring my other bike here when it needs a tune-up.Cant think of what else youd want in a locally owned bike shop. Come here -- you wont regret it.

Really, really awful experience with this shop this AM. Im an ER physician, and on my day off today I took my bicycle here to get some components upgraded on it. I actually went out of my way to bring it here since it seemed like a small cool local shop that I wanted to support.Anyway, the owner/manager berated me immediately for bringing in a non-broken bike to get serviced during these COVID-19 times. I didnt want to argue with him, so I told him I was sorry if I was inconveniencing him, I wasnt trying to cause any trouble, but I saw the shop was open and bringing in my bike wasnt causing any physical harm or danger to anyone, and I wanted to get it serviced. I told him if he didnt want to do it, it was no problem, and I would take my bike somewhere else.He continued to criticize and berate me for bringing it into the shop, but said he would do it. I was conflicted on whether I should keep it there or not, but figured since it was already there, may as well.I went back to my car to get the bike component parts, and when I arrived back, he gave me another speech on the definition of essential services. At this point, I told him I actually work in the healthcare field and fully understand what essential services mean, and would appreciate if he could spare me the attitude. He yelled back well, you got the attitude!.Ultimately, when he was looking at the parts, he decided he would not do the job and he told me to get lost. I got my bike, gathered up the parts, and left.I dont write negative reviews, but this experience was just so awful, and so condescending and negative, that I felt I had no other choice. If anything good comes from this experience, it is the hope that the owner/manager learns from this experience, and avoids lashing out at his customers, as well as jumping to fallacious and incorrect conclusions on people in general.

Sorely disappointed with my first and last experience at this bike shop. After having the wrong rack installed by a different bike shop, I was really hoping for a “local” expertise and “local” customer service. I went there in search of a proper rear bike rack for my child seat and was questioned as to why I even want to use a rear child seat. I was told “if you could give me one good reason you want to use a rear bike seat, I’ll help you” - I explained that my son is too young for the front ones and I don’t like the idea of a wiggly toddler on the front of my bike, and potentially making it hard to steer. When I told him all I need is the appropriate rear rack, he asked if I “plan to zip tie” my child seat to it. I couldn’t believe how rude this man was, but still I explained I actually have the proper adapter and my child seat is designed for a universal rack, he still was looking at me like I have 5 heads. He didn’t even offer to show me the one he had so I could see if it’s the right one. I even tried to inquire about buying a whole new bike entirely and he basically just shook his head and walked away from me without taking any genuine interest in my particular situation or really even seeming like he cared to help. This guy acted like he is such an expert and apparently thought it was ok to talk to me like I don’t know what I’m talking about, but he isn’t even aware that there are rear child seats such as the Hamax Caress on the market that come with the exact adapter I was referencing and are perfectly safe and reliable with the right rack. I left and went to Brands in Wantagh where I was met with incredibly friendly and professional people who had exactly what I needed (Topeak child seat rack FYI) and went above and beyond to help me. I also plan to upgrade our bikes eventually and I will be buying them from Brands. It’s sad, but the saying is true, it is hard to find good help these days, and while I was really disappointed I couldn’t find it at this “local” bike shop, I am very grateful that great customer service still exists somewhere, you will just have to go to Brands in Wantagh to get it.

$52 for handlebar tape and wrapping it around the bars?!? Same purchase and service cost me $20 in a shop in Burlington, Vt. Local Cycles should learn that ripoffs result in loss of returning customers.
