First time having to replace an iPhone screen and was a bit hesitant to even consider a repair. However, I called, inquired and felt comfortable to come in. Left for no more than an hour and received a call that the phone was ready for pick-up. I was so impressed!!! Looked like a new phone. I highly recommend them and will make sure to tell my friends and family should the need arise. Thank you!
I live in Delaware, heard Great things about the personal, quick, and reasonable repairs. I dropped off my laptop for a new hard drive and Windows upgrade. I figured it would be a couple of days to obtain the hard drive, install it, along with the upgrade. Tom called only 2 hours later and indicated it would be done at approx. 4:30. New solid state drive and Windows upgrade perform extremely fast. Great Service, and exceptional phone response from Tom and Allan. Professional yet chill the guy at the counter gave me options for the repair and payment I was having trouble with my charging port fixed it an about an hour tested it in front of me and also put on a new screen protector it has been over 5 months and no issues with the repair
I noticed I was losing the charge on my Moto G7 phone too quickly. Each cable I used to charge the phone wouldnt connect, even after I cleaned the port. The port jiggled when I put in a cable. In the past, I had used the services of a cellphone repair shop in Silver Spring but saw that it was more interested in taking my money than diagnosing the issue. Another one in Silver Spring was never open. A third, in a mall in Anne Arundel County scheduled an appointment yet when I arrived on time, the mall was closed. Soooo, I went to Yelp and found the Repair Bar. I used Yelps quote service and Allan responded that he could make the repair and quoted a price. I made an appointment for that evening, dropped it off and picked it up the next day. Tom even diagnosed the issue I was having with the speaker and microphone, even though I hadnt mentioned it. I am very pleased to have my cellphone working well again.

Took money from me but fixed nothing. They take a deposit but if they cant fix what you need, your deposit is non-refundable but its good for store credit if you ever decide to come back. Cool~NOTDont go here.
All I can say is wow! Great service and quick turn around. Came in with a broken screen and could not access my phone. Tom was very helpful and knowledgeable. In less than an hour I was ready to go. I Will definitely be returning back to get my apple laptop looked at. I would recommend this store location to anyone. Great prices too. They even give you store credit if they can’t resolve your particular issue.

DO NOT GO HERE! I would do no stars if I could.I went here to have my screen replaced. They suggested I get my battery repaired as well. I came back do pick it up and my phone was restarting every few seconds. I brought it back and they put all of my old things back on my phone. And it still wasn’t working.They told me to come back the following morning. When I did, I was told that I would be charged $60 to send it to their main office for A WEEK.I ended up going to T-Mobile and having to get a new phone. DO NOT GO HERE!

Terrible store and service! I got my iPhone screen replaced here. All seemed well for a week, until I realized that the screen replacement is not up to apple spec and the phone does not go to sleep while on a call. Contacted the store to see if they could help. Instead of someone saying bring it in so we can take a look, I got cursed out and threatened. This place is horrible and I do not recommend it to anyone. I will take my phone to apple once they reopen to have my screen replaced again but this time, correctly and for cheaper!Update::: I disputed this transaction with my bank and was found not liable to pay for the terrible screen replacement this place provided.On another note, the screen was so bad I ended up buying a new phone since the apple stores are closed to due to the pandemic.STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!
I cannot thank these guys enough! I dropped my phone and nothing was responding, called them up and they said yep we can fix that! I thought my phone was toast, but they had it fixed for me good as new that same day for less than half of what I would have had to pay for a refurbished version of my phone. He went all the way to Virginia for the last replacement screen for my phone model! And still had it ready for me same-day! Super nice guys, great work, 10/10 will be calling them back next time Im a klutz.

A very dishonest business. I absolutely would not recommend. The customer is not put first. My phone was moved to another location. Without my consent and knowledge. I was not consulted about whatever repairs need to be made and I was furthermore inconvenienced by having to wait for my phone to be returned to me for another few hours. I had the extreme displeasure of speaking to a gentleman called Allen who was both snide and patronizing. I truly believe they took my phone and used the workable parts to fix another phone while trying charging me the same price my service provider would have charged me in either case. This review is being written four days after my phone was initially dropped off. I believe the owner is unethical. So much so I’ve written a formal business complaint to the Better Business Bureau. I would advise all people to use your hard earned money and precious time to support a more legitimate and respectful business.There are many other more legitimate business’s to patronize including your local service provide brick and mortar stores, for a more pleasant, affordable and trustworthy experience.

Allen and his team are awesome! My repair was questionable based upon a bent frame, but they took on the LCD and glass repair of my Motorola G7 Pay anyway. Unfortunately, the repair did not hold. Upon reporting back to Allan, he called and walked me through several ways to keep this from happening again, as well as, gave me recommendations for other phones.No question, I will be back if needed based upon great customer service.
Where do I start? I had broken my screen on my Galaxy S8 plus, so I called various repair shops and got estimates around the $400 range. Then, I called here and found that they were doing it for $240. I thought that this was perfect. I made a few calls to the owner, and while he seemed nice, he failed to respond to my texts and tried to charge $20 for taking a pry tool and prying off the camera lens (can be done in 15 seconds). When I went in a few days later, I was surprised to find someone other than the person I talked to at the desk. This was fine, as he was much nicer, and helped me out a lot. I was still having some problems the next day, so I brought it back. This time, it was a new person, and they failed to put in several screws into the phone, which caused further complications. Then, I asked for some tape and he said hed have to charge $5 for it. A small amount of tape for $5? The person at the desk was arguing with the repairman because the repairman couldnt let go of a small piece of tape. The phone was eventually fixed, but it was not easy.
Ive used Allans several times. Theyve always done a good job for a reasonable price. This time around I had an issue with the phone after I got it back. I took the phone back and they resolved the issue to my satisfaction with no extra charge. Once again Im very happy with them.
I would NOT do business here again. There is very POOR communication between staff and customers. They fixed additional items that were completely unrelated to the original phone damage, adding extra fees to my total so they could charge me more. They did not update me about these extra add-ons. They REFUSED to give me a slight discount even when I provided them with written proof of their communication errors. I wasn’t asking for anything unreasonable but in their eyes clearly the customer is wrong. Two thumbs down!!

I broke my phone so I called them to help. They said they didnt have my part in stock so they would overnight order it. That was July 3rd. I called July 4th and they said it didnt come (possibly due to the holiday). Okay no problem. They took my name and number down to call me when it comes in. I call July 6th- they said they got a package in but hadnt opened it yet. It could be my part or it might not. They again took my number down and would call me when they opened it. Here we are July 9th- I never heard from them. Completely unprofessional and uncommunicative. Their loss. I took my phone to the phone repair shop in the Laurel Town Center (uBreakiFix) and THEY fixed my phone. Their customer service was soooo much better. I wont ever be a customer to repairbar again.
Went to Best Buy and was told they would need to send my phone to the manufacturer and would take 4 weeks for over $100.00.The sales clerk pulled me aside and told me to take it to Allans across the street. They were able to repair my phone in 4 days for under 60.00. Service was great, staff was helpful. They are very busy, but I received an emailed receipt and a warranty.
My company has used them several times to replace screens on ipads and phones and weve been extremely satisfied with results and pricing. They know what they are doing. The only reason this isnt 5 stars is the facility is very spartan; however, Id rather them have lower prices than a nice place.

I have been here twice and each time they have gotten the work done in less than the time frame they gave me and for $100 and waiting two hours it was worth every penny. I would have had to spend at least that much time if not more getting a new phone. I dont perceive them as rude at all. I think efficient is more fitting.

I took my s5 for a simple screen repair. Came back a week later to find the home button broken and the guy saying it brought it that way. Called the manager and he was dude straight lied to my face saying he saw the phone that way when I dropped it off even though he wasn’t there. Ended up taking my phone to the mall and had both problems fixed for half the price he quoted for just the screen. Don’t waste your time or money

I was then told that he could not do that price, this is after he said they would match any price... After calling around to a few other places and talking to friends here in the Laurel MD area, I was told that this place is notorious for ripping people off... I would stay away from this place...
Provided they fulfil the promise of providing the refund I understand the precautions taken to not work on the phone. In the future to prevent misunderstandings I recommend checking the status of the phone immediately and in the presence of the customer.
Have been there 6 times to fix kids broken iPhone screens. Half the price of mall vendors. Brought in daughters 6S for second repair to iPhone not working just 2.5 months after she last broke screen. Out of warranty but they fixed for half price, awesome service, done in 1 hour. Have bad feeling I will be back due to careless kids.
The charging port on my iphone would not hold the cable. While Apple wanted $99 and would have to send the phone outfor repairs, Allan’s (in Alexandria) repaired the phone in 45 minutes and charged me $60. Outstanding service and a fair price.

I came in for problems with my antenna lcd and cracked screen left my phone there so I expected it to be fixed the next day I come in and the guy that repairs phones changes my battery and charger port and was trying to charge me for something that isn’t even the problem! when the manager Allen came out with a disgusting attitude he said my phone was locked when my iCloud is turned off I have no passcode or fingerprint on it I wouldn’t take my phone to a store to be fixed if it was locked ! It was a whole mess 7 months pregnant with two crying babies for 1 hour arguing with Allen Dick trying to lie and steal another 100$ long story short do not waste your time here they are a HUGE hassle with nasty attitudes and they want things their way and trying to communicate is IMPOSSIBLE all they care about is taking your money !

I am a repair technician myself, but when my brother went to this place they charged us $200 for a new charging port on a laptop and when he tried charging it it did not work plus when i looked at it i saw that it was missing screws and when we took it back all they said was that they tested it. Terrible scam.

I have a Samsung S8 plus. I called all around and got prices for a replacement screen. Everywhere was about $340. At Allens repair bar it was $189 and it was clearly a no-brainer. The quality of the work was excellent and the screen itself was beautiful. If there were such a thing I would give them six stars?
You will keep bringing it back again and again. The screen wont ever be the same. Take it to a better place or a send it back to the company to fix it for good.They dont care to do a good job or not.

Quick quality service, they got the job done quicker than expected.
Took them a sudden dead samsung and was surprised that they charged 60$ non-refundable just to look at it. I took the gamble but regretted. A few phone calls in the beginning sounded too informal/ slightly un-professional / disorganized. Two weeks of silence later I phone for news and the news were the phone was deas, they couldnt get it on, something I told them from the beginning. I wasnt convinced they spend much time at all past plugging it in the charger and pressing the power button and was not convinced with the diagnosis. Drove 20 miles to pick it up. They should open at 9, I showed at 10 and after phoning they eventually came at 11. No excuses or justification, all normal. The 60$ deposit? Either offer as credit on the next repair. Asked for a battery replacement on a Mac. Answer: Another 60$ upfront. Doubt Ill be back. Second choice: buy parts on the store. Went on to buy an OK, slightly overpriced glass shield for the phone, the rest was overpriced bad quality covers, cables, cheap stands and nothing else. I give 2* just on the benefit of the doubt that the malfunction of the phone is real bad and beyond what they can do. But if not powering at all is reason to stop they should not take it anyway because that was explained from the start. I avoid strong adjectives but I was not happy with the experience.
Experience was good. Good hours, fast service with a fixed screen in the end. Price was higher than others, but i didnt have to wait as long because thse other places didnt open until an hour or 2 later.

Lets just say I am coordination-ly challenged!So Allan has had to rescue me more times than my ego will care to admit!I really hated to read the one review that was negative as that is the opposite of my experience, but really none of my business. In my case (every time!) I dropped the phone, so whose fault was that! Oh wait the sun was in my eyes! Ha! I give Allan 5 stars and since I have been in the service industry for almost 40 years I know the value of taking care of your customers, so enough said!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!! They dont properly fix your phone screen, then blame you when it breaks. They dont honor the warranty they provide. I got my phone screen replaced a month ago and now the screen doesnt work at all. Theres space at the top, so much so that I can put my fingernail through it and lift up the screen. Theres also what looks like glue residue on top and the home button is crooked and wobbles. All of which they said was my fault. The staff is insulting and does not truly care about customer satisfaction! Its disappointing as I was a repeat customer, but I will no longer do business with them.

I appreciated their attempts to accommodate me while trying to find time to drop my iPad off, but after they got it and repaired what I took it in for, they somehow BROKE my fingerprint recognition feature. So I no longer have the ability to access my iPad with my fingerprint. What’s just as bad is that the guy had the nerve to get smart with me after telling me he broke my iPad and couldn’t do anything to fix it!!!So I take a chance and trust you to REPAIR my iPad, you actually break it, and then get smart with the customer? I called and was told by Allen (the owner) the prices to have the broken screen of my iPhone 6 Plus replaced. He also sent me a text message with the same prices hed verbalized over the phone. So, I took it in and was charged upfront those exact prices, by a different employee and I gave them my friends contact info so I could be notified when my phone was ready. About an hour later, we received a text message saying my phone was ready but I would owe another $30 because they initially thought I had the iPhone 6, not the 6 Plus. When I went in for pickup, I explained how I should not be charged that additional fee because not only did two employees make the same mistake, but they also could have called my friend prior to fixing my phone to say Hey, do you still want to go through with this? After expressing my concerns, I was still only given the options of either paying the $30 and keeping my fixed screen or not paying and they will put my broken screen back on.I paid for the 2-hr service and my phone was ready within an hour, so Ill give them that. And I did come out about $60 cheaper than going to Sprint. But now my new screen has a permanent, faint image of the text message screen frozen on it.Beware.

Made a HUGE mistake by taking my Nexus 6 here to have a cracked screen replaced. They charged me $300 to replace the screen, then returned the phone with the volume down control and proximity sensor broken. I brought it back and they semi-fixed the proximity sensor -- it worked for a week or two and then no more -- but told me they had to order a part to fix the volume button. That was 3 months ago; Im still waiting, and they no longer answer my messages.Allans Repair Bar turned a brand-new, fully working $700 phone with a cracked screen into a phone that (A) you cant adjust the volume on or boot into recovery mode, (B) has a back that is skewed, so it doesnt fit tightly and is probably no longer water resistant, and (C) cannot hang up a phone call because the screen wont come back on until the other person disconnects. They charged me almost half the cost of the phone to do it, and clearly have zero interest in making it right. Be warned.
About 3 weeks ago I took my sisters iphone 7 in for a cracked screen repair. When we came back to pick it up one of the guys told us so yeah, there was an issue with the phone and then proceeded to show us a fixed phone screen but with obvious internal issues. There was a blue mark on the screen as well as a huge black lining at the top. They told us if we want we could bring it back in to be fixed some other day. We werent happy at all but they still took my sisters money. We came back (the same day, just 30 mins later) and told them we didnt want to take it home with the issues THEYVE caused. They told us there wasnt enough time to fix the phone on the same day and that they didnt have the part to fix it and that we should come back 3 days later. Fast forward 3 days later, the phone seems to be in okay condition and fixed only to find out that they caused more issues, a greenish tone on the screen as well as an occasional freak out the phone would have by turning the screen completely green and staticky for about a minute and then back to normal. Decided not to let them know about this or go back because my sister was frustrated at this point and never wanted to let her phone be touched by them again. Just get your phone done professionally, your phone will never be the same if you get it done at this location. Lesson learned.

Allans Repair Bar in Laurel, Maryland claims to be able to fix your phone quickly and cheaply, but that turned out to be a lie. Your phone comes out with more problems than it went in with, and their guaranty is a scam because they may be contracted to fix your screen but on most phones they would have to go through layers of other components to get to your screen.So these geniuses wrecked my HTC M9. They fixed the screen perfect but a few days later, the sim card stopped working.I immediately called Allan at the Repair Bar and asked about the guaranty/warranty and they said they couldnt take a look at it without charging me an extra $60.I decided not to take it back to them because I felt strongly they were at fault and took it down to Gadget Guru in Columbia and those guys identified the problem and said there was a broken clip that was damaged during the previous repair (only had one repair before that and it was with Repair Bar).Gadget Guru is charging me $120 to fix the sim card slot issue. This is on top of the $150 I spent at Allans Repair Bar to fix the screen.I called Allan at Repair Bar with this new information and he said I could bring it in and they would take a look but couldnt guaranty they would fix the problem. Very uninspiring.I asked him to pay 60% of the cost of repair at Gadget Guru if they fixed it and he stopped answering his phone or responding to messages.DO NOT GO NEAR THIS BUSINESS WITH A 10 FOOT POLE. ITS VERY SIMILAR TO A 419 SCAM THEYRE RUNNING HERE!

This happened a while ago, But i took my note 4 in to have just the screen repaired because there was a tiny crack in the corner of the phone and i was getting ready to upgrade my phone to the note 5. i took my phone there and paid like $150 or something for the new screen, it didnt take long for them to fix it but when the new screen they did put on it did not have the samsung logo at the top, I told him this and so he ordered one with the logo and told me to come back the next day. so the next day I did come back and he put another new screen with the logo on top. I then drove right across the street to Tmobile to return the phone and get the note 5. when the guy at tmobile opened the battery part of the phone we noticed a clear slick liquid on the batterry and on the water damage sticker it was a little red. so i took it back to them to ask what it was and the guy acted like he didnt know, after a little back and forth they gave me back 100$. i went back to tmobile a little later and the guy said he would send it in but i risk being charged for water damage. luckily i was never charged!
I got my iPhone 7+ repaired Friday and purchased a screen protector from them. My screen was damage again on Tuesday saying they don’t cover crack screen. it’s been less than a week and the are saying they will not cover for replace it. I use to come there all the time but I will no longer bring my services here anymore.

I went there in January and got my phone fixed for $90 and then a couple days later it cracked by itself and then I went back and they try to charge me $110 to get it fixed but then we explained what happened and they fixed it again for $90 and then the broke my back like so my phone had to stay a extra day. Then when I got it back a week later it cracked again so I dont recommend coming here.
