My wife and I were very fortunate in working with Brian Costello at WeShoot to instruct and train us. Brian always goes the “extra mile” in giving us his time and patience as we are first timers. His constant display and respect for safety first is of the utmost importance in his training. He has a deep knowledge of the many different options of arms available which is proving invaluable as we make our way through choosing the right fits. He takes the time to explain the pros and cons of each unit we tested, down to individual mechanics of ease or difficulty.We highly recommend this seasoned veteran as his wisdom will become an important part of your practice going forward.

We had no experience whatsoever.Our instructor, Bill Bradshaw, was great.Yes, we were nervous, but with a little time and patience, Bill gave us the instruction and confidence needed to shoot for the first time.We were taught well, emphasis on safety and mechanisms, but we also had fun.Bill is a really nice guy and a real professional. Had a training session with Heidi who I cannot even give a high enough review. She gets 10 stars from me. She is extremely friendly and knowledgeable and despite the lack of knowledge I had, made me feel extremely comfortable and never made me feel stupid for all of the MANY ?s I had. From the moment, I walked into We Shoot, all the guys in the front again made me feel comfortable and never made me feel like I dont belong there. Highly recommend !!!

My instructor was Lance. Class was to learn about my new Saint. I never shot a rifle before. I was taught the basics of the rifle and was also given pointers on using my 9mm. Lance is very helpful and knowledgeable about both. Very personable as well. The key to the class was the actual firing of the Saint. After getting the feel of the Saint, the sight was adjusted. We were all surprised as to the consistent shots in the center of the target. If it hadn’t been for Lance watching my shots and making recommendations for adjustments I wouldn’t have had the consistency and accuracy I did. More importantly I had a lot of fun.This was the second private class I took from WESHOOT and enjoyed both. The instructors are all concerned about safety, but more so, on having a good time. I will be taking additional classes.

I had a lesson with Lance and I highly recommend him for anyone who wants a lesson. He was very thorough, went over every single thing you would need to know. He made sure I was comfortable with the gun, he shows u grip, sighting, stance, etc. Right there with me on the range to make sure all is good, takes his time with letting you get to feel the gun, just a wonderful instructor. And just a bunch of other need to know information.I truly recommend him to anyone looking to learn to shoot!!

I am basically a beginner to firearms and as a woman am aware of how important it is to learn a few things about defense in the crazy world we live in today. Heidi is my instructor at WESHOOT in Lakewood and is professional, thorough, kind, patient, understanding and has years of experience to bring to each and every lesson I’ve had with her. My questions are always answered if not at that lesson, she will email me a link to research more. She encourages me to move out of my comfort zone and praises me when I correct myself without her telling me to do so. I cannot imagine ever learning firearms this way with anyone else. I have taught public school for 40 years and I understand what a good teacher brings to his or her subject. Took the beginner’s course as it was my first time using a handgun. Highly recommend doing one on one course. My instructor Bill Bradshaw was very attentive to my abilities and/or addressed them as needed. Class was very informative and when we hit the range Bill helped me with my nervousness as a first time shooter putting me at ease after a short time. Very enjoyable and educational experience. Took the 2 hour beginner course with Lance on July 2, 2021. I was a little nervous firing a handgun as I never had before, only a 22 rifle when I was 13 with my father. The safety education and instruction I received was EXCELLENT, so when the time came to actually shoot I was feeling less nervous. Having Lance by my side reassuring, coaching and guiding me with each shot/round, I felt really confident when I finished. The only thing I could suggest to the owners is separation of new shooters from shooters of large, loud rifles (AR). Having them next to me was quite distracting and a bit scary. Otherwise, now that I have the proper education, instruction and recommendation for purchase, I will be back to shoot with my 84 year old Daddyo!!

I am a beginner and took a two hour private lesson with Heidi Bergman-Schoch. She first provided class instruction, focusing on the fundamentals and safety and practiced concepts before going into the range. Heidi has a great disarming style, answered questions, provided examples and was patient as I tried to internalize the lesson.On the range she took the time to break down each step to ensure I would be able to self-correct when practicing on my own.I would recommend Heidi without hesitation. My time with her was invaluable.

I will stress this first, safety is #1 when it comes to WeShoot and the WeTrain staff. Hands down I cannot stress how much they focus on safety both at the range and in the classroom before even touching other subjects. This type of learning is crucial to avoiding accidents not only at the range but at home as well.Wanted to give a big shoutout to Lance at WeTrain/Weshoot and their staff. I went in as a beginner shooter having only shot a few times with years between outings and I came out hitting bullseyes after only an hour focusing on proper stance and grips when dealing with several types of firearms. I will definitely be back for another lesson and cannot wait to continue to improve both my accuracy but also basic firearm proficiency as well. Thanks again guys!

Excellent place to get firearms training and purchase a weapon if you choose to. Staff gives you all the time you need to answer questions and help. Not surprisingly, it is better to go during the week as it can get crowded on weekends. I was fortunate to have a beginner training lesson with Bill and I highly recommend him.

There arent enough stars for Lance as an instructor at Weshoot. He took the time to get to know me, a 54 year old woman who never held or shot a gun. Thanks to Lances expertise, he recommended the perfect gun, and I was able to shoot with ease. My private lesson started with gun and range safety, and ended with me hitting the center target.

I am a first time gun owner and shooter. I decided to take a course. My instructor Joe Hayes was outstanding. He is very knowledgeable and patient. I look forward to taking some more classes in the future as well as using the range.

NEVER AGAIN .. after Ive spend over $ 700 dollars after a few days I have found that it is impossible to find any 10 round magazine for the charokee full size 9mm, so when I called weshoot I was looking for some kinda of help, I was told to find & google for it myself. Never again

This place is this the top tier of places to learn, shoot and be helped by a great staff.May wife is a first time shooter. Scared of loud noise, scared to hold a gun, and intimidated by the size of my 10mm.We scheduled a 2 hour lesson. Lance, one of the instructors, took the time to get to know her and brush upon my skills. I’ve had previous experiences at WeShoot.At the end of the lesson, my newbie wife shot three bullseyes, unloaded and loaded a 22 with no problem and had a stance like a champ.I can’t recommend weshoot enough. This will be our club, and we will be joining as members.

I had a Great experience taking my Utah CCW course with Instructor Tony Rutski.. he was extremely knowledgeable and made learning fun at the same time conveying the importance of safety practices and personal accountability. I also had the pleasure of learning from Lance and Rusty! I felt like I was in good hands learning from the best! I highly recommend taking classes at Weshoot.

Best shop/range in NJ. Place is run by true alphas and chads who will help you 100%. Clean range and great shop. Leagues above the other little dump shacks in NJ that give attitude and rip customers off.

I used to love attending this place, even so I became a member for the entire 2020 summer. Eli is great! very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the last trip here was a huge disappointment. It started with a complete display of arrogance from one of the younger looking, heavy set, range officers. When trying to give a tip to one of my friends, the arrogant range officer stated “who knows more about guns, him or the range officer.” He said this with no joking tone to it whatsoever. Then, towards the end of our groups hour there was a 10 minute cease fire. Once this cease fire concluded, we were approached to leave right after I took my shotgun out and began to load it. I asked the arrogant range officer very nicely if I could empty my shotgun of its 5 rounds and then I will pack it up and hit the road, no problem. He then replied in a nasty tone that “ our time was up and it’s not up to him to make that call since we have quite of a wait”. That’s not something you want to hear after dishing out almost $200 including ammo. Now I understand completely we are limited to one hour as a group, but when there is a ten minute cease fire preventing me from getting my money’s worth, that’s an issue. It’s shame because I liked this range a lot. But you could just tell being there 5 minutes, some staff have issues with attitude. Next time I will just save the 45 min ride and go to a more local range.

Bought a Glock 34 Gen 5; Stan was a very good and pleasant to deal with but have the worst experience from his boss Tony. I ask for a little discount if any but guy just straight up laugh at me, i then ask if I buy the gun I could get couple free range time. Told him usually you get free range time 2 to 5 times before but Tony just said Nope, after pleading with him I really want to get the gun and ask for 1 time range so I could try it out.. he said yes; so I bought the gun. After a week because of the state background check I pick up the gun and told the salesperson that I get 1 free range time just ask Tony, all the sudden Tony denies that he said that and I end up paying for the range time to try out the gun I bought at the same place. What is it now you can’t even have 1 time range to try out that gun you bought at a gun store? Seems like this gun businesses today got big headed now due to people buying guns and ammunition on high demand.

I have been searching for a specific handgun for over a month and one of the places I checked was Weshoot. Wanting to not miss the gun coming in i did check on semi frequently and while the staff could have been annoyed they were understanding and helpful everytime. I came in and was helped by the first associate available and as im doing my paperwork im hearing everyone being helped with great care. I wont go anywhere else and look forward to purchasing my first membership here. Also they are the one stop shop. Need safes, range bags,ammo? Look no further thanks to the entire team.

Just picked up my 2nd and 3rd firearms from Weshoot last night. This place is a pleasure to deal with, has a good inventory, and has very knowledgeable and friendly staff. James is my go to sales guy . Stan and rest of the staff are always willing to answer questions and help when needed. Great for everyone and a great place to bring the family to educate about firearms. Glad I became a member and look forward to many more outings with my family.

I tried a few ranges for about 4 months before committing to this one. I found myself coming back here and ended up becoming a member. It was a great decision. Everyone is knowledgeable and outgoing. Very relaxed environment and safety is top priority. And membership gets you good prices on rentals, ammo and transfers. Im here at least once a week.

Went there several times with my father-in-law and friends. Great and safe place for casual shooting. Do not have to be a member to shoot. Can rent a gun on premises if you either have your own weapon with you or there with a friend (up to 4 people per lane). All first comers are required to watch safety video and do paperwork. Overall I feel this place is a very good balance of safety and not hanging over your shoulder.

Drove an hour out there with my brothers and was turned away because they stop taking shooters 2 hrs before closing. Thats not made clear by their site or their hours. I wont be making the trip again.

The range itself has been completely updated with new lighting, port benches that adjust for all types of shooters and a top notch ventilation system. Its obvious that the new owners take pride in providing a safe, family friendly environment for new shooters and experienced alike.Garden State Shooting Center has raised the bar!

I shot for the first time here and it was amazing. I had used their promo they offered for two guns and paid significantly less than what I originally thought I’d pay.The staff were extremely informed on all of the guns, as they could answer all of my questions and had a ton of extra knowledge they shared with me about the weapons.They let you shoot on the range without being micromanaged by the range supervisor. Being a new shooter, the man set me up and gave me the basics, but eventually left me on my own which was really cool.

Down to earth employees, but you must follow all safety rules and regulations. 12 shooting lanes of 25yards. Purchased a couple hand Guns from them and all went smooth. Lounge area with nice soft couches in case you need to wait. Give them a try.

This was an excellent experience. My wife and I are both new shooters and the staff made us feel very comfortable. Safety is their main concern, and the range officers were very helpful. The markup on the ammo is a bit high, but considering I didnt have to lay out hundreds to purchase a gun just to try shooting for the first i still considered this a good deal. The deal from Groupon made it even better. We both look forward to returning and bringing friends and family members.

I was impressed with the knowledge and professionalism of the staff. As a newcomer, I felt very welcomed at the range. The showroom and the lounge area are well organized and comfortable. I was happy to see the education and training that was available. I completed the Basic Pistol Course which gave me the confidence to handle my new firearm. There was an emphasis on safety and responsibility by the GSSC staff. I intend to take advantage of other training courses that are available.

Not a huge fan. Went once it was well awkward. Made to feel inferior in every way while I was there just not super pleasant. The range is well kept, the place is super clean and the showroom is well stocked with hard goods and accessories. Only reason it got two stars.

The gentleman who work at GSSC are very nice and extremely knowledgeable. Safety is a primary concern as it should always be when handling firearms.Ive waited until after my 3rd visit to leave a comment on this place of business. An upgrade from Brick Armory. Staff is actually friendly and doesnt act like they know everything. I shot here a while ago when they first opened and Id go back if I didnt have a Range 14 membership. (i prefer to shoot farther than 25 yards) but definitely a nice range and nice staff. Would go here again.

Just got back from my second visit. Really nice place and staff. Helpful, but not in your face. Monday morning was pretty chill. Went on a weekend morning last visit and it got pretty crazy by the time we left around noon. Well stocked pro shop and a bunch of rental firearms available.

Good selection and a clean environment. Range is large and fully featured. ROs are knowledgeable and friendly. Salesman do have the gun store attitude to a degree, but not as bad as other locations.

I wish there was Zero Stars! We went with a group on. I called before buying the group on stated we have our own guns and ammo would we be required to buy theirs they said No. Bought the group on. Went there yesterday with our guns with over 400 rounds and they say you have to rent our guns with the group on I said no problem what do you have. Picked two guns they said you HAVE to purchase our ammo to use with it. I said why would I do that when I have over 400 rounds with me. I said it doesnt state that in the ad and showed him the ad. To which the employee stated: How do you expect us to make money? I said thats not my fault you didnt put in the group on ad the right restrictions. They wouldnt allow us to do it so we left! Horrible customer service!!!

Worst experience ever had very uninformed is about what you need to shoot at the range and what your guests would need to bring have like I should have been told over the phone that me and my guests would need photo IDs to use the range like I had my ID but my guest did not bring her ID because she was my guest they could have told me over the phone that everyone that came needed an ID but I dont understand why she need an ID but theyre going to let minors in there without an ID that are accompanied by an adult
