For a First experience, I didnt expect to sit outside for an hour when its listed open @9am online, planned my morning around coming hear. Once Ive spoken with someone maybe George the owner, Ill be updating this review, Im back guy certainly didnt take me for a real buyer but I dont blame him, I look young. I actually found George to be a seemingly decent guy, I didnt wait the full hour so Ill bump this review to a 4.

I didnt know what to expect for my first visit. At this point in time, ammo and gun shortages the gun room actually had what I needed. Knowledgeable staff, not pushy on sales. Laid back and educated is how I would describe the fellas here. Also check out all the amazing history in this store. Tons of firearms from many eras. Brought my Dad in to come check out the store due to the fact that they carry multiple left handed guns. A left handed, Kimber .22 Hornet caught his eye, and my dad was interested. George, the owner was extremely knowledgable, friendly, polite, and informative on all aspects of the gun. My dad purchased the gun, picked it up, flew home, and has called me at least once a day the past week to tell me how happy he is with his new gun! Thank you George and Gun Room staff, we will definitely be back to see you all again!

I’ve been bouncing around gun stores in Denver for over 10 years. The Gun Room has become one of my favorites. Fair prices, good inventory, great employees.

Brought my new to me Mossberg 930 in for a baseline cleaning. This shop had my shotgun for about 5 days. I was swapping out a choke and found excessive residue in both the action and barrel.Called in to report my findings and was told the gun was cleaned well enough and that if I wanted it cleaned better I ”should take it to someone with an ultrasonic cleaner”.After 1 pull with my bore snake it was filthy (pictured) . Also pictured is the most important part of a Mossberg semi-auto. The gas piston, COMPLETELY FILTHY. My gun was NOT disassembled and cleaned as promised and I was charged for this service and lied to.Then just as I started writing this review I was contacted by George who offered to clean another gun or this one again free of charge.Ill let future customers come to their own conclusions here, but this is downright THEFT if you ask me.I have recently advised a few people to support this man for firearms purchases without him knowing it, but I choose to buy American when I can and support small business. I regret doing so, as this is by far the worst service experience I have ever had with a gun shop and perhaps with any retail shop in my life.All of that on top of the fact that this man probably doesnt know or care that Ive spent over $1000 on ammunition and other firearms at his shop. Truly sad.

Pays fair prices if you sell to him but it’s a weird process of only offering him prices until he says yes. I would imagine he misses out on a lot of firearms with this method but he does pay fair prices if you play along.When I asked him about the antique/collectibles I said is it the age that makes them so valuable he just looks at me and says no. I would’ve hoped for some more information but I guess i have to do my own research....Will sell here but tough to buy In That environment

1. Awesome selection of guns. Owner George and employee Jake know a lot about guns. This place seems to get a lot of traffic.2. I sold two guns on consignment here....the consignment fee is 15%.A. If your gun doesnt sell and you want your gun back...Jake told me I have to fill out a background check at the shop. He said it was a controlled item. Jake said there is a backlog and it could take up to a week. Then you can take your gun back. They didnt mention this to me when I brought the guns in. That info would be helpful to know up front. Not everybody is familiar with Colorado law as it applies to consignment guns.B. They will not call you if your gun sells. You have to call them to find out if it sold.C. If your gun sells, then you have to call back in the beginning of the month to get a check written. I called 17 Aug and was told my gun sold and to call back on 1 Sep. On 1 Sep, I talked to George who said to call back again as he was out of the shop. I called on 2 Sep and was told by Jake to call before I came in. After some back and forth with Jake talking to George I convinced them to write a check and leave it in the drawer as I live 70 miles away and wanted it already written if I got a chance to get to Denver.D. They are very busy so everytime I called, they were pretty short with me. I really felt kind of in the dark.E. It took about a year for my guns to sell, they were uncommon .22 singlet shot match rifles so I didnt expect a quick sale.3. Overall I felt the process was a bit more painful than it had to be. How hard is it for at the end of the day, or end of the week...for George to call and leave a message saying hey your Haenel KK sport sold.4. So Im happy my guns sold at a decent price but if I sell any more, Ill probably explore other options to sell them.

Great little shop- in full disclosure in the distant past (8-10 years) this place left a bad taste in my mouth with a couple incidents of horrible customer service/attitudes- BUT that is in the past and they have really turned around and in more recent years have purchased several firearms from vintage to modern from them and its always been a smooth transaction. In normal times they have a unique selection of everything from milsurp, pre-98, high dollar to tactical. Its worth your time to stop in.

First time I went in a few months ago and was treated very well. Gunsmith was helpful and spent good time with me looking around. Bought a Black Rain Ar10. Came back another time and the owner George helped me put together some accessories i brought in on my own such as scope and strap. Very cool. Then this week had some ejection issues (no pun intended) and George took the rifle apart and adjusted the gas tube which came loose from the factory while I waited 10 minuets and it ran smooth as silk. I appreciate the excellent service and going over and above to help me out. I will be back!

I purchased a Turkish Mauser from this shop about a year ago. I cleaned it up and shot it just yesterday deadly accurate. This place is awsome lots of iconic firearms and more. I hope i can purchase the trap door Springfield and give that a try.

As a female handling the passing of my father, the Gun Room was instrumental. I was able to bring in his guns and put them up for consignment. They treated me with kindness, sympathy, respect, and were incredibly knowledgeable. It made what could have been an even more stressful time, much less so. In under 9 months they were able to sell 25 guns and have been continually in contact and communicative. I would recommend them to anyone!

Great staff and a great owner! They have an awesome selection of firearms from classic collectables to brand new top of their class guns. There is something here for everyone and if you have questions they have an answer. Prices are very fair and the environment is very relaxed and easy going so dont be afraid to just swing in a take a look but dont be surprised when something catches your eye!

Just called here to ask about what ar15s they had in stock. Was rudely cut off stating just come in and look at what we have. Im not driving 45 minutes to find out they have nothing I want. Its not like their website is helpful in any way. Their inventory section on the website is some interior pictures of their gun displays that look like they were taken 10 years ago. Not a good first impression and will not be visiting this place. Ill stick to online and westminster arms and Eagles Nest since theyre always friendly there.

I have been going to The Gun Room for over 10 years & I have never had a bad experience with the staff or the owner and they have a great selection and are very knowledgeable. I like being able to bargain on the prices of the firearms and have purchased multiple firearms through the store and Ive also done a few transfers. Being a business owner in the retail trade myself, I really appreciate good customer service, and I have always received top service here. Theyre good people, and I highly recommend this shop.

This store is a great find, theres nothing else like it anywhere in Denver. They have antique guns, sporting, hunting, new, used, you name it. Other unique items as well and the inventory is always changing. I also like the reasonable consignment service at 15%. George is very knowledgeable and can answer your questions.

Have bought a few guns here over the years (before I knew better) and been in several times. Bunch of overpriced junk and rude sales people that appear aggravated that I showed up. Not all guns are price marked and most of the used guns have been in there FOR EVER because they are at least 20% over market value. I asked for prices on 3 guns yesterday in their special room, guy said hed get back to me, never called...This was the last straw for me!How is this place even in business? This place is like a museum for average guns.. Go around the corner to G&G guns, or to Green Mountain Guns.. WAY better stores with actual customer service and fair pricing...How is this place rated over 3 stars? The owner must have all his friends submitting reviews! Bye-Bye gun room, NEVER AGAIN!
