Took Intro to pistol, Rachel G. was a fantastic instructor! Cannot recommend if you’re interested in educating yourself a little about firearms or just a little curious. I know I walked away a better more confident, safer firearm owner.

I just took my concealed carry weapon class it was amazing. Steve macgregor was my instructor and he was amazing he is really knowledgeable when it comes to this. If you a gun owner it’s a must to come and take classes and get familiar with gun laws

You definitely get what you pay for with their concealed carry class! Steve H. was an awesome instructor who really has a passion for teaching this class. He keeps it very entertaining and he’s super knowledgeable on the subject. I feel more than comfortable conseal carrying with the experience I gained from this class. I highly recommend it!

I was looking for a “one stop shop” for firearms and learning. I was interested in conceal and carry, but I realized that I had little to no experience with guns. After taking an intro to pistols class with Steve H. I learned so much and built a solid foundation! I feel ready for the next class and I am no longer intimidated by the thought of holding a gun. The s place was awesome My daughter and I came in not knowing anything. Pancho showed us how to load our rental gun. We had so much fun and the instructor was really great and super patient with us.

I have been a member at Bristlecone for 3 years. The facility is state of the art, very clean, highly organized and fantastic customer service. However, the best part of Bristlecone are the training classes taught by Kevin McDonald. I have taken several of Kevin’s classes and have learned a lot. Kevin is an outstanding instructor…… he has a special ability to teach, demonstrate and observe. He is THE BEST at helping students fix problems and improve. Kevin is extremely passionate and knowledgeable, and is always available after any class to answer questions and help students in any way. Kevin goes above and beyond to make sure all his students are learning and improving, and ALWAYS FOLLOWING ALL SAFETY principles. He even sends students drills and recommendations of videos to watch (on his personal time). He does an amazing job of mentoring his students with enthusiasm and a humble approach to teaching.

My husband and I went through their Concealed Carry Weapons I course and it was great. Steve MacGregor was extremely knowledgeable. He was friendly and made everyone feel comfortable at whatever level they were at. He gave great feedback, and we left the course more knowledgeable and comfortable with our guns. We highly recommend the facility and the courses.

As always, the staff was knowledgeable, amiable, and very helpful. With 2 new shooters, the range officers took the time to introduce them to proper grip, stance, and target acquisition. Sales staff was very helpful in selection of a couple of accessories, and in showing my son-in-law some pistol options.Good to see inventory on the increase, with great product selection.This was a Father’s Day outing with kids and grandson (who has already asked when we’re going back), and Bristlecone made it very pleasurable.Thank you!

Took the concealed carry class here recently. And exceeded my expectations and then some. Just moved back to the area and been try out local ranges to find a place to become a member at to train and learn more. Was one of the coolest and most educational things I’ve done in ages. Excited to take more classes

My husband and I took the Concealed carry course on Sunday morning(8/15). Our instructor Travis did a great job presenting the information in an easy to understand way. He answered every question we had with as much detail as possible. During the live fire portion of our course, Travis was patient and did an excellent job teaching us rookies the basics. We will definitely be back!

Rachel instructed my Pistol 101 course and was AMAZING. Id never fired a gun before and was very nervous going in (being a petite woman) but Rachel made me feel at ease instantly and provided invaluable instruction. Her sense of humor is an added bonus 😉

Took their Conceal Carry II course. A must take for anyone thinking of EDC, they walk through the steps of drawing and give you practice using live fire. Steve H. Is a great teacher and will work with and be welcoming to anyone at any level of experience. He gives great feedback and pays attention to his students.

Unquestionably awesome range and retail shop! I got a membership earlier this year and its been worth every penny and then some. Between the member benefits and service level you cant go wrong! The training is also top notch. My kids and I just did a session with Pancho and hes awesome. He was great with my kids and really helped to push their skills during our time there. We cant wait to go back for more!

I would highly recommend taking the concealed carry class with Steve H. He did a great job keeping you entertained while leaving you feeling both confident and knowledgeable to CC after completing the class!

Editing my review to 4 stars because Im still a bit bummed at my first interaction but things have greatly improved, and Bristlecone has done everything in their power to make things right. Thank you Bristlecone.Andrew, the head gunsmith, is fantastic. He helped me get my brand new build working perfectly and took the time to explain some things that I didnt know before. I greatly appreciate his customer service, attention to detail, and expertise. Next time I have a firearm that needs some TLC, I will definitely trust him with it.The range is fantastic and the rental options are great. If you sign up for weekly notifications, it seems like they have some great options for free rentals and/or steep discounts.Cant seem to figure out how to reply to the owners reply below but yes, I am happy with my results and am glad that he helped me get everything working.The reloading zone is amazing and they are always a wealth of knowledge. Cant wait to start reloading, but not quite ready for that challenge yet.Original Review (10/21/21)Great range and selection of rentals and pistols, and the reloading center is amazing, but bummed with my first experience at the gunsmith here. Brought my new build in to have them torque, headspace and test fire, and they couldnt get it to cycle properly. Just discovered they stripped both screws on my gas block, so I cant even get them out to readjust it. Gas block isnt spaced off the barrel shoulder, the way I installed it before I brought it in (and the spec for this Ballistic Advantage barrel), and it wiggles so it isnt even on tight, but I cant do anything about it because of the stripped screws. Came back in to talk with them about what to do, but they were not happy to help and told me to try a heavier buffer because I was overgassed. Except, my gas block is adjustable and I have a rifle length gas system, so it cant possibly be overgassed? Also the reason why I bought an adjustable gas block. Tried to visit once more after swapping buffers and the gunsmith was closed for a class they were teaching, came back the following week with a sign on the front door that the whole store was closed all day... I hope everything was okay there. But, 4 trips here to get it to work and I had decided to give up on Bristlecone despite living 5 minutes away. EDIT: Bristlecone management and the head gunsmith contacted me regarding this review, looked at my work order, and made things right (see above).I will definitely be back to the reloading center, as they are always extremely helpful and willing to give me every bit of advice and help I could possibly want.

Conceal Carry class with Steve MacGregor was comprehensive and enjoyable.

I’ve ordered blue label pistols in the past and they have always been excellent. I recently called and asked about a blue label pistol and woman I spoke with was rude and stated they have no blue label pistols and said I could not even order one. She told me she hasn’t seen one in months and I would have to keep calling back to check inventory. I decided to call a shop closer to my house and they had several in stock and were able to order them. I’m not sure what’s going on here but if you are looking for blue label I would shop somewhere else.

I took the CCW class here the other day instructed by Steve H.What a great class it was!Steves experience and passion really come through in the lesson. It was engaging, entertaining, and he didnt hold back any of the reality of what we were discussing. I appreciated the class content and instruction quality very much.Just wish I could have put in some more practice ahead of time, and its a shame the in-class practice couldnt go longer, but we all know about the current situation of limited resources.Highly recommend this class, especially with Steve H teaching it!

Went through the Bristlecone Concealed Carry course with instructor Steve MacGregor. Very clearly taught, INTENSE 6 hour training. Corrected some wrong perceptions I had, helped me more clearly see the correct way to handle things. MacGregor knows his stuff.

I highly recommend this place and I highly recommend Levi. We’ve been looking to purchase a 9mm for months now and Levi has guided us through the whole process. He took the time and presented us with several options, he was a great consultant. Feel much safer in my home after visiting here. I can’t say enough good things. Please take the time to stop in, you won’t regret.

Conceal carry class with Steve H was a great experience. He is very gifted at teaching situational awareness and knowledge to help you deal with a potential conflict. The 5 hours flew by and his energy never wavered. This is my second class there and I’ll attend more.

Friendly staff and great customer service. I have never owned or used a firearm before and the staff were very helpful in finding me a handgun that fit my needs. I am left handed and the sales woman was very helpful on showing me different handguns that could accommodate ambidextrous use as well as ways to work around using ones that didnt. Highly recommend and will return to use the range when ammo becomes more readily available.

Did the shoothouse training here and I recommend it to everyone that owns a gun. Not only is it super educational and great practice for those who would use their firearms for self/home defense, but its also tons of fun. This isnt like paintball; its actual real-world scenarios played out to see how students would react in these scenarios. The instructor also involved class members as props in each others scenarios, adding extra value and fun to the training. Each scenario was tailored to each students backgrounds and abilities, which was also very beneficial since not every student is on the same level. My class was with Filipp, Cindy, and Ty and they were awesome to learn with, as they put a lot of effort into the course making it as realistic and beneficial to each student as possible.Ive taken probably at least a 100 hours worth of training here at Bristlecone and everything they do is top notch.

Got to shoot a fully auto gun. Legit was a blast. John was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. 101% will come back.

I had a fantastic experience taking my CCW course with Steve H. He made it a point to make sure we were able to ask all our questions and answer each of them individually, and as a group. Lots of great tips and reminders whether you have experience or not. Given the shortage of ammo these days, they still made it a point to give us time to shoot (as much as allowed) with some lessons, and all information necessary for continuing education. In short, amazing place and amazing instructors. My wife and I took the Shotgun Home Defense course with Filipp Dedogryuk. First of all, Filipp is an excellent instructor, incredibly engaging and knowledgeable. Bristlecone facility is super clean, modern and professional.I highly recommend Bristlecone and Filipp to anyone that is interested in learning about self defense and use of shotguns in general. We are for sure planning on taking more courses at Bristlecone.

My wife, my daughter, and I visited Bristlecone for the first time today. We are all new to handgun usage and are all signed up for an intro class in a few weeks. We went today to get the lay of the land and familiarize ourselves with the space. Levi spent over an hour with us helping us do just that, answering all our questions expertly. What a professional! I took the evening conceal carry course with Steve H. The course was very informative and Steve extremely knowledgeable. He kept the pace well, was entertaining, and made the content practical and interesting.On the range, Steve helped me feel more confident with my gun, helped me when it jammed or I loaded it wrong (it was nerves, I swear!) and assisted me in perfecting my grip.It was a great course and I will look into private lessons with Steve H to build better gun skills and accuracy.

I surveyed various ranges and schools in the Denver/Boulder/Longmont area and decided on Bristlecone because of facilities, professionalism (non-arrogant or non-condescending), emphasis on safety, services available (gunsmithing), wide variety of classes offered, and location. So far I have been very pleased with my decision. Ive used the gunsmith services and found it fast at reasonable cost. Ive taken one private lesson (Steve Hartel) to further orient myself to Bristlecone as well as dust off a lot of Covid rust. Excellent experience. Finally, I am impressed that they really do give a priority to members.

Filipp was incredible to work with for my first time at the range. I went on a Tuesday evening which was free for ladies and also had free instructors on the range from 4-7pm. This is a great way to learn the basics and get comfortable in a free private instruction session. Filipp specifically is incredibly knowledgeable and helped me realize exactly what I was doing wrong. 10/10 recommend coming here!

Top notch training from Corey. So cool to see women instructors and owners. They have made a very comfortable vibe there. Small class size ran for a full 4 hours for just 125 plus discounted rental. Also hads lots in stock.

Our class had a wide range of experience levels and Steve was extremely patient with people on the lower end but still offered tips to those on the higher end. If you want to learn to shoot, handle firearms safely, improve your skills, or even just feel more comfortable around firearms without an intent to use them, Bristlecone is a great option. I took the CCW class this evening from Steve H and it was wonderfully informative. The class time contains valuable information which Steve H made interesting enough to stay motivated for and the range time was invaluable. Steve H. Helped me ever so slightly change my stance, grip and speed of trigger pull which drastically improved my aim and confidence!

Been going to Bristlecone for about a year now and they have been with me through my entire pistol buying experience. From renting a few times and trying out 8-10 guns, all the way to the the FFL transfer and training. They have been helpful in picking up guns to shoot, form, and generally friendly as well. Once I purchased my gun I took Intro to Pistol with Cindy and most recently CCW-1 with Steve H and have been very pleased with the training. The instructors have been very helpful with gripping the weapon as well as helping to correct some of the major accuracy issues (my trigger pull is still too fast). I have since become a member and am looking forward to CCW-2 and Tac Pistol classes when I get the chance and can find some ammo...Overall very nice establishment, good people, and very friendly to newbies like myself.

This was actually a refresher course for me since my old CCW had expired and the course was so much better and much more informative than my previous course at other places. I signed up for the $99 summer membership and got my first handgun. Every person from greeter, retail counter, and range counter are professional. I took a CC class with Steve H and he did an amazing job. In process to get my CC now. He did a good job to keep the class informative but taught great lessons for the range to improve skill level. Very easy reservation process and RSOs do a great job making sure everyone is following rules and being safe. I highly recommend this place. I also felt more welcomed then most ranges in CO area as some staff are not welcoming.

Steve H was great and instructed a very informative class for our CCW. He was very easy to understand and made anything that was clear, easier to understand when clarification was needed. The class was fun and very interactive. Range time was very helpful and practical for everyday situations. I look forward to CCW2.

I took a conceal carry training course with Travis last week and he did a wonderful job with the class. He was welcoming, knowledgeable, and funny! We had a wide variety of firearms experience among the attendees, and he kept the experts engaged while taking the time to explain terms to the newer people. Our time on the range was personalized, informative, and felt very safe. It’s a half-day class, but it went by quickly! I’m impressed and will definitely be back for more classes and range time.

2 stars because their prices are hard to beat. This includes memberships, rentals, ammo, firearms, etc.I am not a member, and have not had one good customer experience here. Ive seen members come in and get greeted with a smile, but it seems that if you arent a member you get ignored.Also, if you are new to a specific platform and have questions about it, the employees seem irritated that you have questions and are very short and curt in their answers. I even had one employee tell me his shift was over and just walk away in the middle of a purchase!The owner has a nice facility with good prices, but I would dump almost the entire staff and replace with adults. It seems that the kids working there are typical millennials, dont know how to say youre welcome or treat people with respect.

Always friendly, full service, Nick the ON-SITE gunsmith is awesome, Range staff very helpful. JC owner is a rock star, always returns email w/i 24hrs. Best membership in town!

I recently took the Intro to Pistol class at Bristlecone with Steve MacGregor. This class was exactly what I needed. Even as a beginner, I felt comfortable in it. The class is well designed and logical in its approach to handguns. Steve is an excellent instructor. He projected the feeling that he was there for us. He did a nice job of balancing his patience with students with a firmness in matters of gun safety. I feel much more confident since taking this class. I also think that Steve has put me on the path to developing good handgun habits. And while I had not intended to take more classes, when I found out that Bristlecone offered a Basic Pistol Cleaning class, I signed up right away!

Outstanding intro to pistol class with Steve H. The whole experience was fantastic from the first part online to the range portion. All the things youd want in an intro to pistol class...knowledgeable and attentive instructor, safe environment and practice, and tangible improvement in confidence and skill due to individualized coaching. I went to US Gun Class for a conceal and carry last weekend and it was horrible. I basically paid for an infomercial to buy from the national conceal and carry association and the instructor wasnt professional. They did refund my money when I sent in feedback, and no one responded to the feedback. That is a huge red flag for me that the organization wants to just refund money and not learn about how to do a class better. Safe yourself some time and just start at Bristlecone. I will continue my training with Steve H. and am excited to know he teaches a number of the pistol classes.

I took the Concealed Carry 1 class with Steve H and my experience was excellent! As a very beginner in this realm, I felt very comfortable and never felt shame for asking any question. The hands on (range time) was amazing, where you get to try out the techniques you were educated on. Steve H. did a masterful job at reminding you of mistakes without making you feel belittled.
