I’d like to put out there that this dealership was by far the most professional, courteous, and the most helpful of all the places I had been over the previous 2 months. It had been a long process trying to find a truck worth trading mine in for. Even through tons of test drives and lots of second guessing myself I was able to lock a decision in and drive off the lots in a new truck. Eric was the one who helped me out and he was not pushy. He was eager to answer all my questions and was very patient. I will definitely continue to give them my business

I loved my experience when I went in to Smail Ford.I was immediately greeted by two men and was directed to John Poole. He was extremely knowledgeable on my purchase of a 21 Ford Bronco that I was lucky enough to take home that same day. He was honest and showed me every little detail of the vehicle and even added me to Bronco Facebook groups. He got me set up with Ford Pass. And was just really patient, respectful, and genuinely caring. I highly recommend this dealership they are family friendly and just overall 5 star kind of people!

Worst service from the service and repair center of Smail Ford of Greensburg. Incompetency from simply making an appointment, to actually getting the work done on my vehicle. It was a simple recall fix. However, it became one blunder after the next. Jeff Smail had to come over because it was one thing after another, from the mechanic trying to cover up the issues he created, to putting my car on a lift & lifting my vehicle w/a spoiler on it, up and placing the spoiler into the garage door. It was one of those moments you have to ask through gritted teeth, Seriously, what are you thinking??I will give a thumbs-up to Jewel Springer, the service director, and to Izzy, who were both a great help on the phone.

I will not recommend this place for anyone. I brought my van here and they can’t diagnose what is wrong. They told me it was a circuit. I paid $285.00. But getting home the van still having same problem. They ask me to bring it bad the second day, I took it there wasting money on towing. They still can’t tell what wrong and my money wasn’t refund back to me. Don’t let them mess your car up here. They are not certified.

We just recently bought our vehicle from Smail Ford and we had an awesome experience. We had the BEST salesman I have ever encountered. His name is JD Greene and to say he went above and beyond for us is an understatement. JD was so attentive to our needs in a vehicle, our budget, and was very pleasant to be around considering you spend a decent amount of time in the dealership when buying a vehicle. JD was so great with us. He always had a smile on his face and was always trying to make sure our experience was nothing but the best. He was knowledgeable of our vehicle and we could tell that he was not your normal salesperson just trying to sell you a car. Every person we encountered while at Smail Ford was great. Because of the outstanding experience and how incredible JD Greene was with us we will continue to use Smail for ALL of our future vehicle purchases and will definitely go back and make sure JD is our salesperson.

I feel that most car buying experiences should be simple and to the point and that is how Smail dealerships operate. they do all they can to accommodate the buyer in every aspect. Professional, trust worthy and never pushy. Jeff Markle goes beyond any salesman i have ever met and Mark Smail has his teams at every dealership as professional and friendly and very helpful. I have been a loyal customer for at least 8 car buying experiences with this last time being a little different I live in North Carolina. I recently purchased a 2020 Ford F150 XL through Brian Ulery of Smail Ford and was both pleased and satisfied with his assistance and service throughout the process. Brian handled the whole transaction in a very competent and professional manner without any of the sort of sales pressure that you sometimes experience with so many card dealerships and sales persons. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and responded to my questions clearly and throughly. If he wasnt sure of the exact answer to a question, he also didnt hesitate to say so and to seek out and obtain the correct answer before responding to make sure that the information that he provided to me was complete and accurate. He clearly enjoys and takes pride in his work, he communicates effectively, (especially in promptly following up communications), and he represents his employer responsibly, effectively and with clearly genuine courtesy. I rarely (if ever) do online reviews, but Im not only compelled to do one on this occasion, but to also strongly recommend Brian to other potential customers of Smail Ford. And given that Im doing what may be my first (and probably my last and only) online review, Ill add that I also found the service and assistance of Nick Breault, the finance person at Smail Ford, to be equally courteous and competent. I also commend Smail Ford on the quality and content of its website, which was both user friendly and had the specific information that I was looking for right upfront.

Ive grown completely dissatisfied with the service at this location; my patience has expired.My current notable issues:1) I live in Churchill and go to this dealership because I purchased my Explorer there and get a discount on my annual inspection. However, it far too often ends up I have to return due to parts not available, missed work, repair not complete or poor customer follow up.2) Until this last service call series, I dealt with a Service Rep that seemed not to be completely up on the details and neglected to return phone calls or communicate. He is no longer with the company and I expected the service experience to improve. This time I return, sit and wait only to find that the incorrect part was ordered (parts not available).3) I asked for my Sync version to be reviewed to determine if an update was available. The Service Rep made note of the request to no avail (missed work). I consulted with Ford Co. on my own to complete the update myself.4) I indicated that my brakes were pulsating, particularly when braking downhill. I was told the rotors were turned; my brakes still pulsate while braking downhill (work not complete AND paid for during checkout).5) My plan is to let Service know that the braking work is not complete when I returned to have item #1 completed when they call to inform me that the CORRECT part has been received; Ive yet to have received a phone call (poor customer follow up).Prior to this latest round of service, I had water leaks in my sunroof that took 4 trips to finally get that resolved.I can count on getting the were looking for your type of car and want to make a deal phone calls from this dealership. Those are consistent as it seems those are the methods that bring quarterly profits to the dealership. Yet the methods that bring customer satisfaction are lacking with this dealership.

Kirill P. is a great salesman and went above and beyond to get me a Ford Edge at the price I needed it to be. However, when I wanted to leave to think about things before making my decision to purchase the car or not, the manager was called over and kind of used language that assumed I was buying the car, which wasn’t at my price point yet. He said things like, “well let’s just take your license and credit info to get the ball rolling for when you do come back. It will make the process quicker.” I didn’t give it because I wasn’t certain I was buying anything. I left and seriously went through my finances and thought about things. I called back to say I couldn’t do it but that I appreciated the effort that had been made by Kirill. About an hour later, I got a call that my price point could be met on a very similar Edge. I do like my new Edge a lot. I don’t love anything I have to pay monthly on. I will love this car in 72 months. Also, Nick B. in finance does a nice job. He does not take “no” well for an answer, but he wouldn’t have that job if he did. He did a great job making sure that my monthly payment stayed where I needed it to be, but that I’m still getting great coverage with the Edge. I appreciate Smail automotive and their effort to keep me out of other dealerships that day. I didn’t plan on buying a car that day, but I did. Can’t wait to see the new Bronco!

I have been waiting WEEKS for my vehicle to be repaired. They have given information about what is going on but do not seem to be in any kind of a hurry to get my car back so I can drive it. I do NOT recommend taking your vehicle here unless you do not want to see it for a long time. If you want to check my validity, just call and ask about the Ford Edge. It’s still there. Maybe they’ll fix it for you.

Bud Smail Ford of Greensburg PA has a communications issue. My daughters 2014 Ford Escape broke down on the way to Pittsburgh from Berks county with apparent transmission failure. The vehicle has ESP plan and covered the towing to the dealership. This was on a Friday evening. The following day she had to call the dealership for a status report since no one had called her. The service writer advised her to rent a vehicle from a local Enterprise office (ESP coverage to 10 days). She called them later and was told the unofficial diagnosis was a transmission pump. It took 3 weeks before the vehicle was brought into the shop for official diagnosis and another 3 weeks before repairs were complete. Meanwhile no one called her with an update. Either she or myself has to call for status reports and each time received an apology and told to stay in rental and that it would be covered. Long story short they did not cover her rental and she received a large bill from Enterprise. The only call she got from the service advisor was to let her know the repairs were completed. Not the way to do business!

Chris at Smail went above and beyond when my keys went permanently missing and I found myself stranded 2.5 hours from home (with a vehicle that I was unable to start).After an hour of back and forth phone calls, Chris was able to call a Ford dealer local to where I was, and talk them through how to make new keys for my vehicle.Prior to his call, all of the local Ford dealers in Ohio had told me they were unable to assist until sometime next week. 1st issue started whenever my ford vehicle needed work done under warranty. They had my car for 2 weeks and let me go one full week without a rental. I had to call back numerous times for updates on my car and often was told the service tech working on your car is out for the day, convenient. 2nd I decide to give this place a try and once again BEYOND DISAPPOINTED I was hoping to get in a new vehicle but I had a credit app submitted for one in specific and a sales lady just kept running my credit on numerous different vehicles because she “thought that’s what I wanted” go elsewhere.

Needed a service tech to hook my car up to a computer and pull a code for my keyless entry on my car. Talked to a guy named Derek, he helped me out and in less than 10 minutes came back with the code and didn’t even charge me. Other dealerships wanted upwards of $70 for that. 10/10 would go here again. Got a recall done for my father on a truck he bought from here and got in and out in a jiffy. Very nice amenities like coffee, vending machines, and comfy seating. Also liked theybhad it decorated for Christmas, looked very nice.Only one downside was encountering some ex-bullies from school here that seem to still hold a grudge, throwing shade and making things up from a distance like usual, only to their fellow employees this time, but no matter, Id still buy a car from here though hopefully a proper sedan or coupe if Ford ever brings those back. Not into suvs or cuvs or any of that. Hopefully Ford is saving their money and cooking up pure electric city cars for this market.

The service was not up to the standards that I have experienced at this dealership over the many years that I have been coming there. In review I spent $3,496 in March and April of 2018 having work done on my Mustang. This latest appointment was for a state inspection and I made a simple request, to have the lug nuts on all wheels loosened and reinstalled as I could not loosen them at home. I was told when I picked up the car that the request had been taken care of. After the service, and another expenditure of $119, I came home and broke a tire iron trying to loosen a lug nut. Other lug nuts were just as tight. I had to go to a tire dealer to have them loosened. The request to loosen the lugs nuts WAS NOT honored. Very disappointed.

My wife and I were just about ready to head down to Smail Ford when our baby decided she needed a nap. I told my sales rep that we would have to postpone things til later in the afternoon. He said, How about I bring the vehicle to you and save everyone time? I gave him my address and within half an hour he arrived with a comparable vehicle for us to look at. My wife and I were able to make a decision right from our own driveway and no hassle with the kids at the dealership. Excellent service. The entire Smail organization is outstanding. Im in the car business and deal a lot with other dealers. The Smail dealerships seem to hire all the right people. From there detail center, parts department in all there dealerships, and service centers. I also know people that work there in different areas and they tell me that the Smail family takes excellent care of them. That being said...as a representative of my company (Bobcat)...I decided to give Bob at Bud Smail a shot at getting us taken care of.....It was the best move I could have made!! Bob in Ford service has literally been Johnny on the spot for us seeing to it that we are taken care of in a timely fashion and ITS DONE RIGHT THE FIRST TIME! My battery went dead in my 2015 Ford Escape. After getting it jumped, we drove to Advanced Auto in Greensburg who wouldnt help due to the battery location in the Ford Escape and then to NTB who wanted an outrageous amount due to battery location. We then decided to drive straight to Smail Ford where Derrick B., Director of First Impressions met us and immediately took care of us with zero problems and half the cost of NTB. Derrick had our car washed and was very friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond. Smail Auto is a place that cares about their customers, and that is evident by the people who they have working for them! Thanks Derrick, and Smail Auto. We will be back.

I have bought two vehicles from this place. The first was a mercury tracer that the transmission went out in after 2 weeks of owning it. Was replaced and rebuilt 3 times by Smails garage with the last one about to go a year later before trading it in. Fast forward to 20 years later. Bought a 2012 mustang with 1500 miles in 2017 for 18500 while it was only worth 14000 retail price anywhere else but the mileage was the excuse. I picked up the car after signing it. They didnt even wash it before I got it off the lot. One month later, the convertible top was leaking. The end links were also needing replaced. Which was weird since it was supposedly ford certified and passed a full so many point inspection. End links were replaced. The top was not fixed correctly. My vehicle sat for over a month while that was supposed to be done. A few months later, I had to take it back because it had a hollow knocking in the rear. The sway bar links were bad and the top was still leaking. This time my car was in the garage for 4 months. During this time... it sat under a tree with leaves and snow for the duration of winter. It was jammed in between other cars so close you couldnt barely open the doors. One of the service people took it home for the weekend because he wanted to enjoy the convertible with his family. I did get the car back fixed but there were a few scratches that I ended up having to buff out because my previous service guy no longer worked there. The last time I got it serviced, I got it back but for the first time... I was charged 100 despite having a warranty and never getting charged for anything previously. After driving home, I got out and noticed a dent in my front wheel well. A ding. When I called, they said it couldnt have happened there and basically told me i was beat. As luck would have it, my car was hit a week later causing more damage to the same side of the scratch, so it was fixed. Also, I had a good friend go there with his new Taurus SHO and when he came to get it after it was serviced, the steering was out of whack and there was an extra 300 miles on the car when he got it back. Smails only seem to prioritize their biggest customers who have money and push everyone else to the end of the line. Family business... so employees get walked over and suffer for bosses who dont know their jobs but have family ties. Use them at your own risk.

Bob Evancho is always my service person. He does a great job telling me what to expect. He tries to make sure my bill doesnt kill me by making sure I use my coupon for oil changes etc. I trust him and will always ask for him. He treats me very well.

I have always taken my vehicles here for service and never had an issue until recently. There is one specific service guy who is completely incompetent and didn’t even know the ford dealerships work with ford warranty . He tried telling me I need to reach out to the warranty center myself and file my own claims. This was completely wrong information. He was extremely rude and advised he would have his manager call me and of course this never happened. I had another interaction with this same associate a week later regarding something else and again very rude and misinformation was provided. Still waiting for a manager call. I will be getting service done at another ford dealership going forward.

My experience as a Smail Lincoln customer has been a nightmare. While Derrick from the service department ROCKS (HE understands customer service and is amazing at his job), I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. My bad experience started the day I bought the car (misleading me on the features that were on my car and then recording a wrong VIN on all of the paperwork) and has included things like...someone damaging my car when it was in for service and not telling me (and then the sales manager saying it wasnt a big deal), selling me a $500 piece of equipment that doesnt do what its supposed to, delivering my car (after servicing it) to the wrong location, and having my car for 2 weeks trying to figure out how to fix a recurring problem (I should have imposed the Lemon Law). The worst part is nobody from the sales department (including the sales manager) never took the time to offer a sincere apology for my awful experience. Spend your $52,000 at a dealership that will value you as a customer...this place does NOT.

I purchased my 2018 Ford F-150 from Nate Cunningham on March 15, 2018 and couldn’t be more satisfied with the service I received.Prior coming to Smail I test drove a used truck at Luther Ford where the service, if you can call it that, was appalling. I was lied to about the payment until I went back to finance and saw the real numbers and then had my keys held hostage as they tried to pressure me into a deal. With that experience it was safe to say I was gun shy about the vehicle buying process.Nate provided a no pressure experience and I felt that my needs were his number one priority from the moment I walked through the door. He gave me options, shot straight and by the time it was said and done I was driving away in a new F-150. Throughout the process all of my questions were answered promptly and the entire process was a breeze.Everyone from Nate to the finance department was prompt, polite and professional.
