I even had my one year old with me and she managed to tolerate all the signing and paperwork just fine. It was the right time to trade in my lease and while my previous vehicle needed new tires, I ended up trading it in instead and I was able to just about break even. We found the car we wanted at Smail online. We live 50 minutes away and after calling to make sure the car was available they then told me they’d have to check with their manager to make sure we didn’t live too far away. They then called back to say that even though the car was available they would not sell it to us because we were not from their direct area. I’ve been in the car business for 15 years and my family owns a used car lot- I have never heard of this ridiculous stipulation. I’ve also read reviews that show people buying from them from out of the area. This is discrimination. Please check your zip code before going to Smail! We ended up buying the car 2.5 hrs away from us from Moontownship Mazda. Please go there and spare yourself discrimination.

I was unimpressed with overall procedures. My biggest issue was on the day we picked up the new vehicle.It seemed very disorganized, we were made wait well past out appointment, and then felt bounced around from here to there. The vehicle was not ready for pickup, they had to send it to detailing while we waited.We were just about out walk out and go elsewhere and finally got things done and picked up our new CX-5.I did wait some time before posting this review because I was upset earlier and did not want to express my upset feelings until I had a chance to calm down.I just think this dealership needs better procedures especially when vehicle is scheduled to be picked up a certain time. The salesman did give us money to go buy lunch on him which was a nice gesture.

Ive been to this dealership many times in the past. My first four cars all came from Smail. I, at no point, have had issues with those cars in the past. Im also happy with my current visit to them in a purchase of the Mazda CX-5.I was looking at the 2021 signature model. Since my current car had all the features mentioned in that model, it is why I was looking at it specifically. The second reason was needing a SUV for winter and for any future family needs.Lloyd was attentive the whole time. One of the first things I said was I wished they had a model with their crystal red. Immediately, he said they had a 2020 model in that color. It was practically the same car, only missing a different screen type and remote start. Two features that were not a deal breaker for me. In doing so, he saved us a significant amount of money.I was happy with the test drive, my friends approved, and I never felt any pressure to buy it on the spot. Lloyd and others listened to what I wanted. This is a rarity on a car lot. I was happy to own the 2020 model by the end, and I was given peace of mind with a warranty, on the exterior and interior, that will last until my loan is paid off in full.There were only two problems I had. The first was there was a physical defect on the leather. They offered to fix this free of charge. The second was the distance of their dealership. This is obviously nothing they can fix, but it was assured they would help me in getting the car the repairs it needs, if it would even need such a trip.As for the car itself, I didnt believe I would need even half of the features it came with. However, I learned to love what they do. As someone with a physical disability, the safety features included in the car gives me a little more peace of mind driving it. Lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and the projection on the windshield are by far better than I first would have imagined.There are no reasons why I would refuse to go back to the dealership in the future. I hope that everyone can share the great experience that I had there.

John was very nice and kept me informed. I did not expect to be there that long. I thought the key would be taken care during the time the car was being inspected. Also, John told me that the problem with my engine light coming on and off was due to the loose lid on the air filter. The light came on again after I drove 15 miles.

Quarterly I would get a call encouraging me to stop in and see their inventory. Last Friday, another vehicle purchased at another Rt. 30 dealer failed. It needed replaced immediately.... Was very accommodating to my request for social distancing during the oil change and tire rotation for my new cx-5. I set up the appointment over the phone. Dropped it off using the key drop, paid over the phone, and they put the keys in it when they knew I was on my way to pick it up. We spoke on the phone about how everything looked good and I got my Mazda back clean and shiny. Couldnt ask for better service.

Knowing exactly what car I wanted I started my search. Went to about 5 dealerships where it was about the money and not the customer. I had almost given up hope when I saw their ad. I decided to give it a try... SO GLAD I DID!!! I spoke with Kelly on the phone and he was on it. He pulled my Mazda CX 5 out, had it washed and ready to test drive. He answered all of my questions and allowed me to just ask away. Kellys customer service was AMAZING and he really just let me take my time and decide. I felt pressured into buying the car before i wanted to, within the same week, since the financing deal might end, but was overall happy about my vehicle at the end of it all.Update: Had my cars first oil change at the dealer since they gave me a big discount on it. (Got a slip for a discounted oil change when i bought the car.) I talked to two different reps about the overview of the visit. When i went to pick it up they rotated my tires, which i did not ask to be done and charged me for it. In their words the cars first oil change, when done here at the dealer comes with a tire rotation. The rotation isnt part of the discount, nor is it on the slip they give you. I was disappointed that the dealer that you bought the car from would do something underhanded like that without first contacting the customer to see if theyd like it done since it wasnt part of the original service.
The staff was very helpful and stayed late to make the deal. The battery was replaced when it became an issue, no problem, 550 cold cranking amps! The Sale Black Friday was real and a surprise! THANK-YOU!!

John, the service mgr. is very personable. Ive had good experiences every time my car has been serviced. Ive also talked to the mechanic (dont know his name) and hes always ready to answer any questions.
We have purchased 6 vehicles from various Smail dealerships over the years. They have never wasted my time and dont do the back and forth to get you the best deal. This vehicle is the 2018 Mazda 3 GT and John Poole got us a great deal. For my next vehicle we will again be visiting Smail.
I would like to start off this review by saying that I am strictly giving this a 1/5 based solely off of one person. My salesman, John, was absolutely wonderful. Very thorough and detailed, and took me on the longest test drive Ive ever been on. His manager, Joe, equally as wonderful. Both were prompt and sufficient when it came to getting me what I needed, and working with me on price. This transaction was then passed onto their finance man, Nick B. Nick initially called me, very politely, and spoke with me. He ended conversation with I will call you back. I never heard from Nick. I left him a voicemail, and spoke with several people to try to get in touch with him (who also informed me that they could not get in touch with him as well) I finally left him a voicemail stating he needed to call me back, or I was going elsewhere, which was recommended to me by one of his coworkers. He then called me right back and informed me that I was not his only customer and I needed to wait, that he did not have time to call me back. I work 60 hour work weeks and this was a time sensitive situation, as it was my only day off for the next two weeks. As I understand I am not the only customer he had, the communication informing me whether or not he was even working on anything was non existent. He was rude, and inconsiderate, and cost his company over 30k. I work in customer service for a living, and the way he spoke to someone willing to spend such a large amount of money was absolutely absurd and offending. I will share this review with every person in the market for a new vehicle. As I stated earlier, everyone else I encountered was wonderful. One person with such a horrendous attitude is going to ruin all the hard work the other ones are putting in.
I went into Smail knowing pretty much what I wanted already. The salesman, John, knew pretty much everything there was to know about the vehicle I was looking at, so it made the process very quick. I was in and out in about 3.5 hours, and I was trading a vehicle in. My last purchases took a lot longer than that at other dealerships. It was just really quick quality service.

Mazda Service Department always goes above and beyond whats required to make sure the customer is happy. They can schedule you in very fast considering how big of a dealership they are, and always have my vehicle back on time. I can always count on my Mazdaspeed 3 being taken care of when its there!

I leased my car from Smail Mazda and would recommend this auto group to anyone on the market. I went in looking at a couple different cars/brands and they not only got me a great price but took me to the honda dealership to compare the cars side by side. I ended up choosing the 2016 Mazda 3 and could not be happier with the car or experience I had. I will be returning at the end of my lease and hope to work with them in the future. John Poole was my dealer and worked with me for a week to make sure everything lined up and my payment was one that I was comfortable with. All around, it was a great experience!
Bought a certified pre-owned car and the whole process was very easy. Salesman was very friendly and willing to work with me to negotiate a good price on the car. After I bought the car, I noticed there was a small flaw on the roof and took the car back immediately to have it fixed. There was no hassle involved. The managers were extremely helpful in getting this taken care of immediately and agreed that it was their honest mistake and everything will be taken care of, no problem! Very pleased, would recommend Smail Auto to anyone and everyone!

Good service and nice people, but I need weekend appointments and I had to wait through 2 weekends to get an appointment on the 3rd weekend. I have bought 3 new cars there, I wish that meant more. I wish they had a quickie lube there for the basic needs like oil change and tire rotation.

The service was supposed to include a tire pressure check, but on the morning after the service, my Check Tire Pressure warning light came on. This was quite annoying because (a) there are no nearby service stations with air that are open at 4:30 AM; (b) it is too dark to see a pressure gauge at that time; and (3) my vehicle does not tell you which of the 4 tires are low, so I had to guess which one(s) needed the air. I did not have any recent problems with low tire pressure, even during the recent subzero spell. So I wonder how thorough the Multi-point inspection actually was, or whether some air was actually let out of the tire during service. Otherwise, the service was fast and efficient and the service consultant was very courteous and professional.
Have been a Smail customer for the past 5 years, previously at Smail Honda, now at Smail Mazda, love my Mazda 16 CX5 purchased new, I feel is cheaper in the long run to have regular dealership service, and will continue to have vehicle serviced at Smail Mazda, great service, good people to deal with from the purchase to the service dept. Regular service catches issues that are more costly in the future. Will continue to have vehicle serviced at Smail Mazda.
Just purchased a used vehicle on the Pre-Owned lot. Randy was sales person. Very good experience overall. No pressure or hassle even when presented with addl warranty options. Vehicle was listed as priced to sell which was reinforced when I reviewed against TruCar pricing.

First I obtained 3 quotes on the internet, and the one from Smail Mazdawas the lowest. I then arranged to have a test drive. By the time I arrived at the dealership, the cars were already waiting at the door. The dealership was clean and spacious. Everyone, including the sales rep, and the manager, were helpful, courteous and professional. I ended up buying a new 2017 CX-5 Grand Touring the same day. A 5-star car buying experience.
I bought the Mazda3 for my daughter and she just feel in love with the car, we were going back and forth from a Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla and the Mazda3. She drove the Mazda3 and it was a done deal. I just cant believe the quality of this vehicle.

This is the third CX-5 in a row that my wife and I have leased. We are very pleased with Smails service and would go back again. I would also like to give our salesman Berry Noonan a very good review. I can say however we felt that Smails Finance Department was a little strong in suggesting we buy additional service plans that we were not interested in.
I will never call this place for any kind of work again... I picked my car up didn’t even get a mile down the road and it blew up because their was absolutely no coolant in my car I called as soon as it happened just to basically be told oh well that’s your problem now im upset of the amount of money I spent just to ride down the road so now I’m out of a car because of one mechanics mistakes so yea I do t recommend this place to anyone
Bait and switch. Was lied to about the color and trim level of a 2019 cx5. Jake reed has no integrity. I saw today the principals smail chooses to use to get business. Real shame

I had originally only stopped at the dealership, to get an idea of the type of vehicle I was looking for. But they had a perfect match for me. I have also interacted with the service department of their Acura & Honda dealerships. All of them were very helpful and friendly.

I was disappointed in the amount of time it took for me to get a basic oil change. Appt was at 1 and I did not get my car back til 3. I’ve never waited that long for an oil change. I think it took me less time to buy the car than it did for that. I can go to Walmart and have it done and get the inside of my car swept out in a lot less time. I was just disappointed in the service dept. but I do love my car! I’m really hoping that was just an off day.
I take my 2015 CX5 to Smail for everything---oil changes, tires, tire rotations, inspection, routine checks, etc. I have found that having certified Mazda mechanics, only, take care of my car increases the life of the vehicle. Also, huge on my list is the Service Department. Smail is the best! Angelea and John are super and really take care of my concerns. I feel confident that when I drive away from the dealerships service dept., my vehicle is running the way it should. Its a good feeling for sure!

Turned in a Mazda lease. First I was turned away when I wanted to do it because they were busy. Set up appointment to return next day and it literally took 4 minutes. I signed two pieces of paper and the Smail guy took the odometer reading and that was it. The Smail employee told me he would send my license plate back into Harrisburg for me. This was several weeks ago. Harrisburg never got it. State sent notice that I didnt make plate registration payment. I called and told them that I turned it in. They said it was not and I had to get notarized statement of Tag abandonment and send it registered mail to PennDot. To boot, Mazda picks up leased car after you turn it in and inspects it at an undisclosed location without you even being present. You are left at their mercy weeks later when you finally get a bill. Never again Smail and never again Mazda. Too many dealerships and too many car manufacturers to deal with nonsense.

However i felt like i was treated poorly and felt almost patronized or looked down on from the monent i pulled up in an old hoopdi. Overall it wasnt terrible. But i do feel i was underappreciated and undervalued by the the staff that i delt with, excluding the man who was my salesman, He was actually okay. It must have just been the lower class that was spewing from, well, everything that is me. To tell you the truth i dont conduct mysef as anything other than a decent human and it just kinda hurt. Regardless, i appreciate them selling me a car and working with me a little but sad to say overall i was slightly dissatisfied. Im sure my experience is different than others.
