This is the second time in the 5 years that we’ve used this company. Let me start by saying the customer service is excellent. Unfortunately, this is greatly overshadowed by the negatives.The paint jobs were satisfactory as well, however the lack of attention to detail (or laziness) is baffling.On both occasions we had serious overspray. While driving the car home (into the sun), the clear coat overspray on 1/2 of the windshield (drivers side) made it dangerously difficult to see the road. Also, there were paint flakes on the windshield wipers. Finally, my front left mudflap was not screwed back in, not even hand tightened. If I wouldn’t have noticed before pulling out their parking lot, there’s a very good chance this would have punctured my tire in a turn.This infuriated my wife and I. The first time it happened we gave them the benefit of the doubt and returned our car to be corrected. This time I said F it, I’ll DO IT MYSELF and spend the next couple hours fixing their lack of attention to detail and lack of shop accountability. I guess they can get away with being lazy when dealerships/insurance companies spoon feed you jobs, because your “certified.” Unfortunate.

Unfortunately, Ive used a few body shops through the years. Ive never had an experience as positive as this one. Buchholz did a fantastic job! On time. And great communication!! They called daily to update me on the status of the repair. I live over an hour away from Gainesville but Buchholz was well worth the drive. I highly recommend them.

I was in a car accident 3 months ago and this place is the best! Even though it took longer than expected, Paul was great of giving me updates on EVERYTHING that was going on with my car and insurance. Even went out of his way to resolve a problem of mine that had nothing to do with the actual repairs. Everyone I spoke to was so friendly and kind, and tried to get me a rental car just about every time I called (very considerate). This place looks out for their clients and it shows! I only had my 2021 Audi a few months before someone hit it. While I was dealing with the emotional aspect, Paul and his team at Buchholz worked so quickly, they had my car repaired within the week. It actually looked better than the day I bought it at Audi. I never had to make one phone call. Paul kept me updated every step of the way. This is the only place I would recommend using!

Unfortunately, I have two car accidents in only half of the year.I had to replace the auto bumper and even the suspension.Fortunately, my car has been repaired nicely like new.I recommend people who need the same service to contact Buchholz and my service writer Becky Breines. Becky will take care of everything, such as contact the insurance company and discuss the repair detail and cost. Accordingly, I already recommend at least two of my friends to the same auto repair company.

They were terrific then and I recently had a minor collision/fender bender. Was recommended this place for paint job took my wifes car for a paint estimate on a small sedan was told 8500 for the job. How is that possible with no body damage whatsoever very disappointed after hearing good things about this place

Had a great experience with Buchholz. I had them repair a door ding (paintless dent repair) and repair/repaint a scratched wheel. They did a phenomenal job. I cant tell either was ever damaged. Additionally, their staff was extremely professional. You can tell they really have a concern for customer satisfaction, which is less common these days. I strongly recommend them.

Im a perfectionist when it comes to maintaining my cars performance and appearance, even minor imperfections will bother me forever. When I needed body work for a very expensive Mercedes Benz with steel grey metallic paint, I was skeptical I could find a good shop. Buchholz was highly recommended by several people I knew well. Buchholz delivered --the car came out like factory new. The color match was absolutely 100% perfect and so was the body work. They were extremely friendly from the front office all the way to the paint shop. I should also mention the final price was $150 under the original quote. Honest on top of everything -- this shop is a very rare find.

I trusted this shop last time (they did phenomenal work)- they handled everything from the rental car on up in the last case.This time, they were equally courteous and helpful, making sure that the adjuster from my insurance missed nothing - all the way down to the accessories on the car. Theyre very thorough, very patient, and turn out excellent work.They also are certified for most manufacturer repairs - so you wont get a car thats been hacked together at the end. In my experience, they deserve that certification.The only issue is that they are VERY popular, and so can take a couple extra days to start your repair. That said, Jason P. has been handling my case, and is very patient, and fantastic about keeping me up to date on the repair process. The owner is also involved, and interested in making sure your experience is always fantastic.

As a very particular customer, I was extremely pleased with the accident repair performed by Brad and the team at Buchholz. Before the repair, I made them aware of my high expectations; I am pleased to say they met and exceeded them. My vehicle was practically brand new and I was extremely worried about the interior being soiled etc.; I opened the door upon receipt, it still looked and smelled brand new! It was definitely worth the drive from Lake City to Gainesville. I would highly recommend Brad and his team to anyone that expects the best in auto body repair.

Excellent Mercedes Repair ShopI selected Buchholz Paint & Auto Body to repair rear corner damage to my 2013 Mercedes ML350. I selected them based upon the fact that they are a certified Mercedes repair shop and by reviews from other customers. I made arrangements with Jason Praet who is the general manager. He was able to get the ML in and completed before the holidays which was very important to me.Buchholz completed the repair on schedule and I believe the quality of the finished work is absolutely excellent. I really can’t tell where the ML was involved in a minor fender bender at all. The paint match is phenomenal. This seems like it would be no easy feat with the diamond white metallic color but I can see no difference in the repainted bumper and the original paint. It is an excellent repair job.Jason did a nice job of working with the insurance company and keeping me informed while the ML was in the shop. I would recommend this shop in a heartbeat.

Buchholz has worked on a few vehicles of mine and their work is exemplary. From the repairs to their paint work. Once they completed the repairs you could not tell there had ever been any damage.

Original estimated time was 2 weeks when I dropped my car off, that turned into one and a half months. After they finally received the parts they were waiting for and got the money from my insurance they rushed the car back to me and told me to come back in later to fix several issues that they did not get to yet; after a month and a half of having the car. There were ants and all sorts of new issue from improper storage of the car. I had to go back 3 times, each time having another issue that they rushed to fix without doing a thorough job. After the third visit my air-conditioning no longer works and they refuse to fix it because it was not due to the accident. They suggested I contact my insurance and make another claim. Very unsatisfied with this repair shop. After getting the insurance money they no longer wished to do a proper job. Make sure you have your insurance company pay you and not directly to them if you do use this place. Do not recommend this place. I will be paying out of pocket for further repairs to my vehicle somewhere else.

I want to start this review by saying the work performed was absolutely perfect and I am completely satisfied with the craftsmanship of the repair.We brought our 2020 Audi in for an estimate on a very small scratch of the lower rear bumper/fender well. It was a very minor scratch and we were on the fence about even bothering with it but we decided it was worth seeing what it would cost just so we didnt have to look at it anymore. We were given the estimate, it was a bit more than we were expecting but it contained a $240 post scan fee that had to be performed by Audi after the repair was complete. We also had a small dent on the hood that we also got added to the quote, paintless dent removal, which was another $250. At this point the final quote was at $1187 including the post scan and dent removal. It was borderline worth it at this point to get rid of the scratch given the total price but we had work done by them a few years ago from an accident and their work was perfect so we decided to just accept the price and move forward with the repair.We dropped the car off on a Sunday night so they could start working on it when Monday rolled around. We were told it would be a three day repair. Wednesday came and after inquiry we were told it took a bit longer in the paint booth than expected and it wouldnt make it to Audi until the morning. Not a huge deal but we now had to add another day to our car rental.At this point is where things went a bit wrong. I received a call on Thursday that Audi had to calibrate the sensors for the active lane control system and it was going to be an additional 500+ dollars (on top of the $240 post scan fee that we already accepted was a part of the job). I expressed my frustration with the situation and was told that it was mentioned to my wife that this may have been required . I am fairly certain she would have remembered an additional $500+ dollars as we would have 100% not have moved forward with the repair, additionally it wasnt anywhere on the estimate.. Now, excluding the paintless dent repair; the fees to get the car post scanned and calibrated were as much as the scratch repair, it just wouldnt have made sense for us to do the repair.I was told that an estimate is just that, an estimate and I expressed that the calibration should have been included. He then said they werent sure if it was going to have to be done and we didnt want to charge you for something that didnt have to be done--a statement which I pointed out made no sense as its not a bill, its an estimate, things can be removed. He went on to say that sometimes things come up and it ends up being more. I want to be clear, this isnt a case of finding a broken bracket as you tear the car apart, this was a predictable fee. It was clear after further communication that because they removed the bumper it basically guarantees that the car would need a full calibration. Audi Certified Repair Center is touted on their website and the wall of their waiting room--There was no way this shouldnt have been foreseen. Also, I didnt have a choice--it had to be done or the cars systems wouldnt work correctly.There was no rectification, just an insincere apology.I will finish by saying again that their work was perfect and I am very happy with the results. If I had to pick a body shop and was using insurance I would still feel comfortable going to them. If I was choosing to pay out of pocket again I would hesitate to return. I still cant believe the post repair fees costed nearly as much as the repair itself, and we didnt even know it was coming.EDIT in response to owner: I did in fact write the wrong amount for the PDR and it was in fact 150, not 250 as you stated, thank you. Also, thank you for taking the time to respond and not adding a surcharge for the fees levied by the Audi dealership.

Tried to get me to pay 2,300$ to fix a KEY mark in the paint on a car. Looked at the estimate sheet and Jason Cihak vastly overinflated the repair estimate, throwing in repair costs of the roof, taillight, side mirror, for a Very simple PAINT refinishing on a DOOR. Honestly, as someone who has worked in car repair, I’m shocked at the audacity he had to try to take advantage of early 20’s graduates. Got competing quotes from diffferent places In town. They all estimated 500-1000. He gave a 230% markup Over any other shop in town. Highly advise to NEVER use them

My car looked better after they worked on it than before it was hit. All the staff were courteous and efficient and the technicians didnt attempt to snow me (I am female) - they did a fantastic job.

I have referred many clients to them over the years and have never had one complaint. They have worked on all of my personal vehicles for the last 16 years. No one compares in experience, knowledge, efficiency, and professionalism in the city of Gainesville.

From the Moment I called Brad, I was treated like a King. He met me upon my arrival and explained the the repair process and how to work with the insurance company and all mundane aspect of the work. He drove me back to my office and upon completion he personally drove me to pickup my car. No other business will do this or even sending an associate. Excellent work and I wish Buchholz more success in their business. Although I did not get a chance to see the inside of the shop but they have an Awesome front office that parallels and exceeds most of the Luxury car dealers in Gainesville with amenities that meet every ones expectation that includes play area for children.I recommend them highly.

They were finished painting my new door handle right when they said they would be and worked with me to set up an appointment that was convenient for me. Don’t go here they are crooks! Was told that my hood was “replaced” after a branch fell on it they even charged my insurance for the replacement. Still see the dent every morning because it collects condensation because this place just pulled out the dent and lied about replacing the hood. Also they scraped paint off my car and would not fix the damage they caused. Talked to the owner who lied to my face and wouldn’t fix anything. If you are a female they think they can rip you off and you won’t notice. Don’t support this crooked business owner.

We used Buchholz Paint and Autobody twice in the last year, once at their old location and once at their beautiful new location near the airport. We liked the outcomes both times. We used factory parts and the cars looked as good as new when finished. Checking in and out went smoothly and everybody was pleasant and businesslike. A great way to run a business.

I got my front bumper replaced on my Acura ILX, due to an accident. Paul explained everything to me and was very detailed. They kept me updated on the progress and was very professional. They matched the paint up very well and ordered all original parts (OEM) everything looks great. Very happy customer!

My car was not an easy repair by any means, but they were incredibly professional and did a great job. They made sure to pay attention to every single detail, to make it look as though there was never an accident at all, which is impressive if you could see the before and after pictures. They did not rush the process and made sure that everything was done correctly, both aesthetically and performance wise. I also cannot say enough good things about Jason, who kept me up to date with all of the repair status, at each progress point. He was also incredibly patient with me when I was going stir crazy without my vehicle. I am so glad that Hyundai recommended Buchholz, as my car would not be in the great condition that it is in otherwise.

My car looks brand new and was repaired with only Mazda parts, just like I wanted. The paint matches perfectly with the rest of the car. I cannot say enough good things about my experience!!

Cars these days are complex machines, windshields you would not think so, but this place knew exactly. My Subaru windshield had to be just right to work with anti crash system. they did replacemennt and took it to Subaru for recalibration. Even had a shopping cart dent fixed. Great folks to deal with. Nice building too.

Ive had work done to several different vehicles of mine on several different occasions and Ive been very pleased each time with the results. In many cases, as you may know, when body work is needed and is done you can see a slight difference, whether its in the color, the texture or the shape just isnt quite right. Well these are things that I have never experienced with the work Ive had done at Buchholz Paint & Auto body. Now, although I dont wish to have someone run into me or have a limb or tree fall on one of my vehicles, but if something was too happen, I wouldnt hesitate to call on my friends at Buchholz.

Buchholz was the consummate professional. Their work was timely, first class and without incident. I will always return to them for paint and body work.

They did a fair job. For being a Certified body shop, I feel they could have done a much better job. The fender and bumper cap dont line up evenly. The bumper cap/cover wasnt buffed out very well. The edge of the bumper cap/cover they said would be touched up was not. It was raining and the vehicle was wet when we picked it up, and couldnt see the repair very well. Not impressed.*Edit*They contacted me after leaving this review and went above and beyond to make the repair satisfactory to me. Increased my rating from 2 to 4 stars.

I had a damage on the rear bumper of my 2008 Camry. I called this body shop and they told me they are the best in town. I also realized (based on what they mentioned) since they dont work with the insurance of company of the person who hit me and responsible for repair charges, they will do a good job regarding the repairs and their goal would be my satisfaction not the insurance company satisfaction. We had a preliminary talk and agreement about how an ideal repair would be and how they are going to address the damages according to that. After a short time, they finished the repairs. But it was absolutely far from the repairs we had agreed on. I noticed they had used a USED rear light and AFT (after market) bumper as shown in their costs receipt. They had also not stick to their word on how they are going to do the repairs. It appeared to me that they had significantly reduced the costs on labor and parts to probably satisfy the insurance company. MOST body shops wash the car after the repairs are done but I noticed my car was not properly kept and there were lots of debris under the engine hood. I gave 2 stars (instead of 1) because their shop was clean and generally they were polite people.

Paul Dodge went above and beyond to see that I got my car on Friday so that I’d have it for the weekend. He and co-workers stayed an hour past closing so that I could pick it up.Great job, clean car!

Someone backed into our vehicle in a parking lot, they were not considerate enough to leave a note. These guys did a marvelous job for a reasonable price and fixing our vehicle! I would recommend you take your vehicle there if you need any paint or body work.

Brought my 350Z there that needed a decent amount of work done. They were in contact with me and answered all my questions. Accurate estimate and their work was of the highest quality. Very happy with my car afterwards. I know it takes a team but Sam was very pleasant as a person of contact.

Sadly I’ve been hit twice within the span of one year but glad Buchholz was able to repair my car so beautifully both times! Would highly recommend this place to anyone in need of repairs. Staff is very nice/helpful as well.
