I got an estimate, and the estimator accidentally ripped off the bumper guard while doing the estimation, and was unable to put it back on properly. The experience was very unprofessional, and the estimate was thousands of dollars more than the other collision repair places I visited.

Used Gerber based on the recommendation from Allstate for my vehicle repair after a collision and I could not regret it more! Staff are rude and the customer service is horrible. We went by to pick up some items from inside the car and found all the damaged car parts left inside the car making it so dirty! And this was after staff told us they didnt touch anything inside the car. Even worse, they do shoddy work. They bought parts that did not fit my vehicle and caused the repair to take weeks longer than expected, which not only inconvenienced me but cost thousands of dollars more in rental car fees. You would think the minimum they would do is measure and ensure that they order the appropriate parts, but I guess not. These employees do not care about their customers. Please do NOT use Gerber for your collision repairs!

Extremely professional shop. Called and talked with many employees who were all respectful and efficient with customer service. The part I needed came in quick and the repairs were done with a very quick turnaround. Repairs were done perfectly and reflected the estimate. Extreme care taken and they even vacuumed the interior when they were done (this may not be standard but was a wonderful surprise!)

I usually dont take the time to do reviews but definitely thought this was worth it, customer service was excellent!! Shabeer was the person who I was in contact with upon arrival and he walked me through everything. I had previously spoke to a lady named Jess she was very helpful and patient explaining everything to me and even setting up my appointment. When I arrived Shabeer talked with me and then another man Dwayne come and did the estimate and walked the vehicle thoroughly explaining everything to me. I thought it was very professional that they helped me all while explaining the process of what would take place next. Shabeer was in contact with me giving me updates on vehicle status. My vehicle was done by the promised date, also my vehicle was clean and vacuumed to my liking. This place definitely deserves five stars maybe more. All my future repairs or me referring family and friends will definitely use Gerber Collision on 6th street!! I really appreciate everything they done to get my baby going again and all repairs were definitely handled and in a timely manner. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR HELP!!!!

I brought my car here several years ago for body work as a result of an accident. The work was quickly and professionally done so we could get back on the road.Fast forward several years and I noticed a gap between the fender and bumper. Apparently a single support bolt was missing and over time caused the gap. I brought the car in and the team adjusted the bumper and replaced the bolt within 5 minutes free of charge.Awesome customer service and professional work!

My vehicle was hit in Sam’s parking lot and the person left with out leaving any note. I have used Gerber in the past so I stopped in to see if they could give ma an estimate to fix the back corner panel and Brittany was awesome. She came out to look at it and pushed in the corner panel and it popped back into place. She drove it around the back and the mechanic buffed out the scratch making it look brand new again! Thanks to both of you for your help and generosity. Your the best!!!

I only dislike due to the fact that something was stolen from our car. I will not ever trust another place again. Sad part is, it was a 20 dollar gift.

Sadly, Ive just completed my third use of Gerber Collison on 6th St.My 1st time was after my 2012 Murano got caught in a car sandwich. I did have to ask them to redo some of the paint, and I did find a bent rail they missed, but both situations were corrected swiftly and without hesitation. 2nd use was after my wife pruned a tree by the driveway with the cars rear fender. Repair swift and well done. Most recently my new SUV got stabbed by the trailer hitch of an f-150 in Lowes parking lot. Bumper and skirt returned to New condition in 24 hours.Each time they did an outstanding job getting my car back into shape.

A tree crushed my car a few weeks ago, and State Farm told me to come here for repairs. Gerber was very cooperative with my insurance company and was great about keeping me updated with both phone calls and their text alert system. Although repairs were initially estimated to take about 3 weeks (not surprised, the car took a lot of damage), I got my car back over a week early! Very pleased with their service. Theyre friendly, prompt, and organized. They also picked me up from my apartment so I didnt have to take an Uber over to the shop.Update: Although I was initially very pleased with their service, I found multiple scratches on my car which werent repaired, I guess because they didnt think it was from the tree. Well, a tree taller than my three story apartment building fell on my car and 6-8 other cars. My car was completely engulfed in tree (see photos, my car isnt visible in the far away shot because its completely under the tree), I dont think its very far fetched that tree branches scratched up my car. Honestly the whole thing should have been repainted given the damage. I brought my car back for Gerber to look at a second time, they said they can try to work on it in maybe a month or so but that theyre just too busy to work on it right now. Also that the paint on other parts of the car are still drying and they cant repaint it until the other paint sets. Problem is, I will be travelling internationally this summer for work/school, and I will be leaving my car in Orlando for family to look after while Im gone. Until then I often drive to Orlando and Tallahassee, so its very inconvenient to be without a car for a second time. Would have been nice if it was taken care of the right way the first time. Im considering calling my insurance to tell them the situation and see if they can recommend somewhere in Orlando, that way my family can have it fixed while Im out of the country. I dont know how this is going to work otherwise. Will update when this is resolved.

Wonderful experience. I was in a small accident and Gerber worked first-hand with my insurance company to get my repairs done as quickly as possible. They drove me back to my house after dropping off so I didn’t have to spend money on an Uber and when I picked it up, they had detailed the entire interior in addition to the exterior. They kept me updated with texts each day so I knew exactly when to expect the work to be finished. I highly recommend!

I took my car in for collision repair of the front and rear bumper. The car was completed when promised. Gerber sent text messages throughout the process to keep me informed on what was happening .

Gerber is an approved repair shop for USAA, and I can see why theyve earned that status. From the initial estimate for cost and time, consistent updates on the progress of your vehicle, to on-time delivery of the vehicle and going the extra mile to take care of small extra items, they have earned their stellar reputation and then some. If I could give more stars, I would.

Receptionist abruptly cut me off while describing my situation to her, only to inform me that I would only recieve help if had an appointment. All I wanted was a quote on some work for my car, but they refused to even take a look at my vehicle. Ive never been to ANY auto shop that wont at least take a look or give a quote.

WARNING - There is a thief targeting the Autocrafters in Gainesville stealing audio equipment. I had over $1,000 in audio stolen from a car left with Autocrafters. Now...the horrible part is Autocrafters is in no way responsible if any items are stolen from a car regardless of the circumstances. If you bring your car there and it must be left overnight and something is stolen you are on your own to take care of it. This is not a what if situation. This recently took place. Yes...exactly! A car was left overnight and apparently broken into to remove built-in audio. No, the items were not something sitting on a seat. Built-In audio was removed from the car inside the locked, gated area and again, Autocrafters is in no way responsible in any way for the theft.

Possibly the worst shop that I or my family has EVER had repairs completed. I wanted to use the other Gerber also located in Gainesville FL on 33rd ave because they know how to treat and value customers. The front desk workers at the Gerber I got my car repaired at are flat out terrible! No emotion nor excitement when engaging customers. The front desk lady (Darlene) is very rude and uses harsh tones with customers. She was even rude with the customer before me. Gerber on 33rd ave understands that the customer is the focus of their ENTIRE operation. I had to call to get an update on the repairs with the Gerber who repaired my car. I had to call to find out when my car showed up to the shop. I had to call for an update as well. I never received emails or text with updates on my car like I did with Gerber on 33rd ave. I informed the shop that repaired my car that I would be out of town when they projected the completion of my car. The shop was not going to extend my rental for only 2days until I returned to Gainesville. The shop inconvenienced me because they didnt deliver on the promises of their operation. The Gerbers that we have her in Gainesville FL are literally night and day. I would recommend that someone from the Gerber on 33rd be transferred to the Gerber who repaired my car to train them on proper insurance claim handling of customer cars. I will ensure that ALL insurance companies think twice before adding this shop to their shop list.After reviewing other reviews it appears that Darlene (front desk worker) is a HUGE problem for this place.

I work in the car industry and was asked by a customer to take her car to auto crafters via her insurance company. when i got there the receptionist was very rude and told me to take the car back where it came from. it was handled very unprofessional. I dont know how This company is still in business if this is the way they teat there customers.
