Elmhurst Auto Clinic is just a really good family owned auto shop. I have used them for over 10 years. They have always been honest and price has always been fair. I highly recommend them.

I always try to support small business, but it’s hard when people blow you off. I came in asking for help with my license plate, as I don’t have the tools to fix the issue. I get it, not a huge money maker and not worth the time, but I needed help. And I was willing to pay for the service. The guy at the desk didn’t even bother to look at my car, told me it would take a couple of hours, and to come back. So, I took my car to a Meineke (which was busier than this place, by the way). They made time for me, looked at my car, fixed my plate in 15 minutes, and didn’t charge me a dime. Now, I’ll be returning to that shop for future issues instead of this one. Shame on me for asking for help. Shame on this place for blowing off a customer that could have brought them money during a time when our economy is hurting.

NOT good service. Would not recommend. The staff is unprofessional, rude, disrespectful, and they do not comprehend what good customer service is. Do not waste your money nor your time.

Extremely rude and impatient. I am a young college student and I had to get my brakes changed and I didn’t know how it worked so instead of explaining to me what I need changed or what is wrong with my brakes the guy was just extremely rude to me and was making snarky-rude comments under his breath. I can’t believe people treat customers this way.

I brought my Escalade to Elmhurst Auto Clinic to address several issues regarding check engine light and computer diagnostic problems. I was very pleased to receive an honest and prompt solution. Apparently my tire pressure sensors were triggering all these problems. Rather than mislead me me or repair things that were not defective, they offered me a very reasonable and cost effective solution. Based on their honesty and abilty to determine the problem, I will be a lifelong customer as well as an referral provider for this shop. Its nice to see some businesses operate with these principals. So glad to have found Elmhust Auto Clinic. Keep up the great work!

Very proactive, helpful and people-customer friendly

Fraudulent. Was told parts and labor had a 1 year warranty then when the parts needed replacing within a year they wanted me to pay full price. After negotiations they had said only labor was covered by warranty, then want to charge twice as much for the part that was at that point not covered by warranty. If you get work done by then get everything, including the warranty and cost of labor and parts, on paper to hold them legally responsible if need be.

We needed service for a company car. A friend recommended Elmhurst auto and said to ask for Chris. Chris had our mini van back in action in 4 hours. We were billed what was initially quoted and the price was half the cost of Toyota dealership service pricing. Great service!

I would give this business ZERO stars if the system allowed it. I brought my car in for an oil change, tire rotation, etc. While waiting for the work to be completed, I was told by the mechanic the brakes needed to be replaced. I trusted him and gave the go ahead. Big mistake! When I returned home, I checked my records and discovered the brakes were replaced a year ago by the dealer from whom I bought the car, and that a recent maintenance check 3 months ago indicated the brakes were okay. This is just another example of a dishonest mechanic ripping off the public. My advice to anyone considering using Elmhurst Auto Clinic for auto repairs is DONT DO IT.

These guys fix everything right the first time at a fair price. Weve been going for 20 years for everything from our oil changes to tires to a recent transmission rebuild. Top notch service.

They fixed the problem and didnt try and sell me on any further un-needed repairs. They got me in took care of the repairs & I was back on the road. And at a very reasonable price!!!! Definitely one of the best! They offer the top quality service that your car can have. The staff are very approachable and they really know what theyre doing.

These guys are always so helpful no matter what you need done. Most recently, I went over there because I couldnt get my old plates off to put new ones on. I WD-fortied the screws and nothing. They took the old ones off and put the new ones on for me while I waited. Chris and all the guys are great.

Well managed and friendly staff

Had my Ford Explorer serviced here in 2012. Things seemed to be fine, quick, it was just a tune up and oil change. I quickly noticed there was something dripping from my exhaust, white residue. Turns out the mechanics were not only servicing my car, but servicing themselves in the process.

Rude, unhelpful. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Chris is so lazy he cant be bothered to make money anyway. The worst.

I have been using Elmhurst Auto Clinic for years and is the best auto repair shop by far. They are friendly and willing to help. Ask for Berry or Chris when you go there. I would definitely recommend them to fiends and family.

Long after Ive moved away from Elmhurst, Ill still find time to come back to Elmhurst Auto Clinic for routine maintenance on my vehicle. The team is quick, matter-of-fact, and efficient and always has my car back to me before long with a completely reasonable price tag.

Place tried to scam me. Said i had leaking struts and broken links. Had someone else check it out. They wanted 700 bucks. I had it done for much cheaper

I had a really bad experience with these people just because I wanted them to use the best spark plugs I could put in my vehicle. They were better than they would have put in with their standard tune up.Not only would they not give me a discount for not having to use the plugs they didnt have to use but they charged me over $10.00 for using my plugs and on top of that I got a healthy feeding of attitude. I will never go back there again.

My wife commutes to Elmhurst throughout the week. This past week she encountered problems with her car and asked coworkers for a recommendation for a repair shop and was given Elmhurst Auto Clinic. She called them and had the car taken to them. They proceeded to tell her she needed tires, tie rods, hub bearings, balancing and alignment. Not knowing what to do she okayed. Almost $900 later she gets her car back. I called the next day to discuss the charges and had Chris, basically talk at and over me. Very dissatisfied, will never use them again and do NOT recommend them. Find someone else!

DO NOT Visit this place unless you want to leave dissatisfied. I asked them if they could install my bumper and lip. They gave me a fair price, however it was downhill from there. I got my car back with a scratched bumper and a crooked lip, not to mention that they completely trashed my original bumper without even asking if I wanted to keep it. I came the next day and was told they would align my lip the next day... so I came the next day and they told me to come back tomorrow.... at that point I had enough. I pleaded with Chris to help me out since I just had to pay for the damages he had done to my paint..., however he said my only option way to come tomorrow bc hes gotta make money. I told him he treated my vehicle and parts like trash and was not willing to confess it was his fault for the scratches on my BRAND new, newely painted bumper. He then bad mouthed the parts I had bought and disrespected me by saying if I want to drive a luxury car, I need to buy top notch parts. Bottom line I paid to get my new bumper scratched and got the bonus of being yelled at for attempting to get what was wrong fixed. I have never seen a service provider disrespect a client to this extent. As a civilized human there is no more I can do then write this review, and o hope no one ever gets treated this way.

Did not really enjoy the customer service. They put the wrong oil in my car, said it was my fault I didnt ask for full synthetic (never really got the opportunity because they seemed pretty disinterested in my business). I figured they would look up the oil recommended for my car.Gonna flush my $26 down the drain, and get the right oil put in somewhere else.

Horrible service!!! The owners son (chris) who works the front is so rude! I got my car (engine) fixed back in March TWO times for the same problem and I had to go back today regarding the SAME issue and he was completely rude to me and was very disrespectful. I spent over 900 dollars there & if you want to be talked over regarding them messing up your car, then good luck LOL. I will not step foot in there again.

I was driving down 294 and my engine overheated so I pulled to the side of the road and waited a while for my engine to cool down then decided to limp my car to the nearest auto shop that i could find which was Elmhurst Auto Clinic. I ended up leaving my car at the shop cause i got there right when they were closing and received a call the next day saying that my cost of repair would be upwards of $1200 for a new water pump, etc.. And because my car is older i decided to hold off on the repairs as it might not be worth it.So the next day I decide to get my car towed to my mechanic that I actually trust and have it looked at. My mechanic called me up and said it was my belt tensioner and the cost to fix it would be $295! I waited before writing this review to make sure no more problems popped up, but that has not been the case. Avoid Elmhurst Auto Clinic as they will try to sell you the engine when all you need is oil.*Edit* to add one more point. Most of the 5 star reviews are all from people who have only reviewed ONE place. Care to guess what place that is? Seems a little off to me.

Horrible experience! Went there for a tune up and was constantly hit on by the owner. I told him Im not into that stuff and my wife was waiting for me, but he kept coming into me. Ive never felt so uncomfortable in my life. While I was leaving, I saw him go out and sniff my seat!

They refuse to be held accountable to their actions. I enjoy watching the mechanics work on my car and as I watched it slipped off the lift from a few feet in the air bending my suspension parts and ruinung my $200 alignment I had done at Mercedes the week before. I refrained from intervening to see how they handled the situation, and the service manager came out looked at it for 2 sec and then laughed and slapped the back of my 1987 Dodge Colt very hard.I went back to the service office and waited for them to finish my blinker fluid flush, (I got a coupon in the mail from them and I wont pass that up!) and when they brought my car to me I asked if there were any problems with the service and they said No. I was so outraged, that I tried to do a burnout leaving the service drive but my car just stalled bc it needs a tune up. I AM NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO BRINGING MY CAR IN FOR THE FUTURE TUNE UP!!
