Im not sure what is going on here but the service department definitely has some issues. I have called twice to get the price on a repair(the same one in a two weeks time frame). They tell me they will call me back. I have yet to get a call back. I purchased my car here.I went in a few weeks ago because my air bag light is on. I had to make an appointment for that. Which I have to wait a month or they needed to keep my car a few days yet did not offer a loaner. I live too far.. So I have to wait a month..I noticed a few of the employees are gone.

This dont make sense at all I got here at 9:20 am and still here 1:00 pm he come out with a paper talking about what all i need done it didnt take 3 hours to figure that out if they were that busy for the day they shouldve said that when I pulled up. But they say make no appointments. Do better. Offer some damn crackers or something. And they said itll be a two hour wait.

The posting of the car online I was looking at had several pictures showing you what to expect. They did not try to hide any defects like other dealerships do. I was greeted by a salesman named Jerry who was great. He was super patient and answered all my questions. He did not rush me at all and explained every step of the process. I was not hit with any unexpected charges that other dealerships try to tag on. If you go in, ask for Jerry!

Sarge helped my boyfriend and I pick out his first car. He gave him many options all with pros and cons and set him up with something within his budget. He did an amazing job helping him pick one out. He purchased a 2020 Hyundai Accent, used with only 2,000 miles on it! We love it and thank him very much for his time spent today with us. Bought a certified pre-owned Hyundai from here. I overpaid because of the car shortage but I got what I wanted, so its all good. They took good care of me. A lot of pressure to purchase the extended warranty, but no surprise there. Make up your mind on it before you go and stick to your decision and youll be fine. Not much room for negotiation without a trade in. Overall a great experience.Very happy with my purchase.

I also agree with the previous review of shady selling tactics. If you have to supposedly raise the prices of your cars to pay for your very fancy dealerships, than maybe update the pricing online to reflect that. Instead of people wasting their time and coming in thinking they will get a vehicle for the price listed on your website just to be blindsided with an additional $5000 and then harassed for hours on end.

This post is based solely on the only experience Ive had with this dealership. I called ahead to see if they had a specific car model available that I was looking for, they told me up front no but one coming in soon and if I wanted to come for a test drive. I came over and was greeted very pleasantly, took a test drive, didnt get yanked around with a lot of BS and put a deposit down on the car I wanted. Very quick, easy, and painless experience.I went back about two weeks later to pick up my new car and handle financing. I had another great experience with my Salesman Kevin and Finance Manager Glenn. Great team of people there. I highly recommend this dealership.

This is the type of dealer that gives dealers a bad rap. I started off by doing a chat inquiring about a vehicle. I specifically asked for them to email me and not call due to a newborn. The service rep said no problem, about 5 mins later they call me 2x in a row…..starting off great. Due to having a new born and knowing how dealers operate, I asked them for an out the door price of the vehicle that’s listed for 45.5k on the site. They come back with a price 9k higher than it’s listed for their website. Classic bait and switch, instead of wasting everyone’s time, just update the pricing on your website of these so called “nationwide market adjustments” even though I’ve gotten msrp quotes at other dealers. I’m glad I had them email me the pricing rather than sit there for two hours to be ripped off. Go elsewhere, these sales tactics are horrible.

My wife and I recently purchased a used Hyundai Tucson from this dealership and was very impressed by the service of everyone I met. We worked with Sarge Sakinovic who was very knowledgeable/helpful without being overly salesy. The dealership was also very clean/in great shape as well.The thing I was most appreciative of was Sarges willingness to work past the time the dealership closed to help us with finalizing our purchase. My wife and I showed up at 7:15 (when dealer closed at 8pm) and Sarge told us to take our time, not feel rushed, and that hed stay as late as needed to help answer questions. We ended up not finalizing our purchase until after 10pm but Sarge had a great personality and helped us until everything was completed. Ill definitely be buying a car from him again in the future.I also want to mention the finance manager, Glenn, who also stayed late to finalize all the paperwork and was very helpful, informative, and an overall very nice guy.

Used to have a great experience with Wilkins service. Since the world has opened up again and service management has changed the service department has become less than optimal. Although they are still efficient with getting you in and out there seems to be a problem with scheduling and staffing in the service department. I took my car in for oil change and to check on another problem was told that I needed brakes and rotors. I was supposed to receive a call in a few days when my parts were in and they were going to put me in to have the repairs done even though the schedule was tight. I called for days and could not get in contact with any advisor. Finally I got in contact with someone and they sent me to parts where I found out that the advisor that I had dealt with never put in a request to have the parts ordered. The young lady in parts was awesome and got my brake pads in right away. Now when I reach back out to service they tell me that they cant get me in to get my pads and rotors replaced for another few weeks. Eventually I was sent to Cody the new manager and although he was not exactly rude he was a bit abrupt telling me that he couldnt put me in front of other people who had appointments. I explained to him that I would not be jumping in front of anyone because they were supposed to have taken care of me weeks ago. Of course it was a back and forth conversation that went nowhere. Very frustrated because I have been driving on bad brake pads and rotors for weeks because of someones incompetence at actually ordering the parts. Now theres a basic nonchalance about my riding for another few weeks. Trying to find another dealership thats not too far from my home. Really sad that the service level has dropped because Ive been quite pleased with Wilkins for some time.

I researched the 2022 Hyundai Tucson before I went to the dealership. I fell in love when I drove it! It had a TON more features than the car I had been driving. My salesperson, Slavee, went above and beyond to explain all of the features to me. Slavee even came in on his day off the next day to meet me when I picked up the car. He sat in the car with me for almost an hour and showed me how to work every single thing! He was phenomenal! I really appreciated the extra time he took with me so that I could enjoy all the amazing features of my new Hyundai!

Hyundai Services department is awful. Told me on phone that i can drop my Santa Fe on Tuesday and tech will work on Wednesday. Dropped the car on Tuesday before 5pm and when called on Wednesday at 12 pm to check status they said that i did not have appointment so it is in line to get fixed. Called after 2 hours again at 2 pm and the manager(lady who picks the call always) said i had appointment at 11am Wednesday and there was some confusion but we are running late with other car service. Not sure what is point of taking appointment then. She said Chris will call at 3:30 to give status. No one called. At 3:45 they did not pick call from my number and i used other number to call and they picked immediately. Placed me on hold to check with Chris on the status of my car. Waiting since 20 min now and no answer yet. They said they do not have loaner car to give (so i need to be without car for not sure how many days). Will you be returning the car today ? Please let me know. When you go to buy a car, sales department will send 10 emails/calls a day to check if we are interested but once you buy and service turns come at the dealership, this is what happens.Update at 4:45 pm: the lady who picks the call left us on hold for 20 min and hung up at 5:10pm. And now you cannot call them since they work only until 5pm

I recently purchased a Wrangler from Wilkins Hyundai. Sarge S. was my main sales contact and did a wonderful job throughout the entire process. Im very leery of dealerships because of terrible past experiences. I even go to the extent of purchasing online or privately to avoid dealers. But Sarge at Wilkins made the entire process seamless and pleasant. They showed me the vehicle without any pressure and provided clear and efficient signing process. No hidden fees or bogus dealer addons. I walked out of there with the advertised online price plus tax and title, nothing more. I highly recommend asking for Sarge and letting him sell you a car.Id like to also send some appreciation to the finance department, who worked on getting me a very low rate. I personally took too much time inspecting the vehicle and making my decision, and had to pick up my son from the babysitter. The finance department knew this and got through all the paperwork in under 15 minutes. Great job!!!

Scheduled an appoint 2.5 weeks out for a recall. Received a phone call two days before to tell me the parts for the recall were in and the Saturday appointment was confirmed.I arrive Saturday at 9am and they checked me in to tell me the car will be ready as everything is set. 3.5 hours later I get a call saying they dont have the parts for my recall and they would order some.I told them not to bother and setup an appointment with another dealership.What a waste of my time and day.

We purchased our car this week and it went so perfectly and it’s all thanks to Josh P. We walked in and he was honest from the start. He asked us what we were looking for and was kind enough to give us time to think of which one was the best option for us. He is so versatile and is able to handle multiple customers when staffing is low. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT. called to have a car towed there and was told that was fine. After making arrangements to get the tow there I was called back by the service manager and was told he didn’t want the car there and to have it towed somewhere else. Ended up costing me $150 more because of their mistake and untrained staff. The manger was very unprofessional and had not phone etiquette at all and basically told me too bad. STAY AWAY.

My husband and I recently purchased our Hyundai Venue( Denim) from Wilkins Hyundai in Elmhurst. We had planned to just visit and get an idea as to what models we might wish to pursue after that visit. As I am the principal driver, I was the main decision maker as to which brand and model we would buy. We explained all these things to our sales person, Tom Mc Hugh. Tom was efficient, listened to my check list of needs and showed me the various models that he thought answered my requests. I immediately liked the Venue model. I am not a high mile producer, but rather I wanted a comfortable smaller model that I can utilize around town, do errands and the like. I loved the look and features of the Venue Denim so much that we would, depending on the terms of the sale, make a purchase. We met with Tom Wilkins the owner, as well as the sales manager and finance manager all in a very short time. Each one listened patiently to what we had to say and responded to the questions with respect and clarity. We felt that the car and price were right so we closed on that day. Throughout the entire purchase cycle we were treated courteously and efficiently. Never did we feel pressured to purchase or upgrade or be sold something we were not in the market for. Remarkably the whole process was handled in roughly 3 hours and I drove my new car home that day. I highly recommend Wilkins Hyundai!

This review is only indicative of the parts department not sales or service.Went in for an OE oil filter and the parts department was nearly unbearable to stand in due to the heat and complete lack of air conditioning, nearly gave me a panic attack; employee told me the AC has been broken for some time, I cant imagine what it feels like to be there working all day in that heat. Seems irresponsible of the dealership to not address this hazard.

The 2nd star is because its clean. Ive been in here twice and both experiences have been awful. The first time I walked in to buy a car but left after seeing how the short and bald (maybe sales manager) talked to a couple trying to negotiate the price of a car. He sits behind the big sales floor desk. I left and bought at Pugi. Today I walked in for service to change a headlight bulb. I attempted to make an appointment a few days ago but the person that answered the phone told me that my repair is so simple I wouldnt need one. I tried a few more times with him to make an appointment but he reassured me to just walk in. I arrived at 730 a.m. and the first thing Im asked is do you have an ppointment. At 830 the tech takes my car. In exactly 1 hour he returns the car and says nothing is wrong. I then showed the service rep the problem was not fixed and they have to order a part. I asked to speak to the tech so that I can ask what took him an hour to see that a bulb was or wasnt working but he refused to per the service rep. I then spoke with Natasha who I believe was the service manager and asked if she reviewed the techs work and she claimed she didnt and then claimed she did but there wasnt an issue when she looked. I showed what the issue was before my car was taken in and after it was returned to me with no issues. She too refused to make an appointment for next Saturday 7/10 even though the part is supposed to arrive this Friday 7/2. This dealer location is on the way home from work but I think once I get the part I need for my car I will drive to McGrath City Hyundai in Chicago or Pugi in Downers Grove. Until then, Ill drive with one properly lit headlight.

Told me the reason for the Check Engine Light, explained the purpose of the part that needed to be replaced, the cost was about what I expected. The issue was repaired right then and I was back on the road quickly.

One of the worst guys to deal with who will not even feel ashamed to lie on a customers face. Dont believe a word he says about rates, prices specially rebates. Let me tell you about my experience with this dealership. I bought a 09 santa fe from them in October of 2019 and got the 2 year warranty. I noticed the tires were pretty bad and I mentioned to them that Id like them changed. They didnt. Within 6 months of having the car the tires were so bad that the wires were showing. I was terrified I wouldnt make it bacl from my parents. When I got tires they highly recommended an alignment because it was so bad. Maybe 3 months into having the car, the battery wouldnt keep a charge. So there was another $150 expense right after buying the vehicle. Year goes by, my car now had to be jumped twice a day during the cold weather. I scheduled an appt but it wad about a week delay. Since then the weather has warmed up and starting hasnt been an issue. Still wanted to take it in to get checked out. I mean, I did buy the warranty, might as well take advantage of it. Drive 40 mins there to drop the car off. They tell me they will look it over and it will be $150 charge. Wait what?!?! I bought the car from you, with the warranty, and the battery and now im having battery issues you still expect me to pay to have it looked at?!? Told them no thank you and took my car back. This is the most money Ive spent on a car within 6 months of having it than ever before! Tires, battery, alignment! All things that Id expect to be checked and done by an official Hyundai dealership before they sold it! I would never buy any vehicle from them and especially a used one. I dont like to leave reviews but when my experience with a place is as bad as this, I felt I needed to.

Wife Stephanie bought a used car here. Two months later the brakes are shot. She takes it in they are not covered on the warranty, ok here we go. Repair and department and her sales associate from just 2 months ago talking. Rotors and brakes charge $0. They did not have to do that they did it because it was the right thing to do. Brakes go bad not their fault but they covered them and service was so quick 2 hours. Second Hyundai we have owned they have been great, not ever shopping around again. This dealer and this brand is ours for life.

This business has great leadership Steve Foresta,Operations Manager, and Nick Corner reached out to me via email when he saw that I didnt purchase a vehicle that I wanted after visiting. It was because I didnt feel like I received great guest service. I found a used Kia Optima SXL on cars.com allocated at this dealership, am I so glad I did. The initial response from Ms. Marisol was very prompt, friendly and simple scheduling. When I arrived to my appointment I was greeted by my salesman Mr. Sarge who was so friendly and took great care of me. He stuck with me throughout the entire process, greatly appreciated. The test drive sealed the deal for me because I fell in love with the car. The car itself was in premium condition, low mileage and very clean interior. Shortly afterwards Mr. Nick came to talk numbers and I was able to get a great deal. Lastly, Mr.Meier was so patient and explained all of the final details flawlessly.This dealership completely exceeded my expectations and I am more than satisfied to have done business with Wilkins in Elmhurst. Overall great experience at this dealership compared to the others in the area. Worked with Sarge and Scott and both were great to work with. Sarge was honest, had great knowledge of all the vehicles and was very easy to work with. Never tried to sell me something I didn’t want. Left today with a car I’m extremely happy with for an honest price I was very comfortable with. Would highly recommend giving this dealership and Sarge a try when shopping around.

Cody and Carl are the main reason why I bring in my vehicle for oil changes at this location. They are so helpful and accommodating. Its sometimes frustrating having to take in you car to the auto repair shop to get maintenance done, especially for a female. I dont feel this way at Wilkins Hyundai service center. I trust that the repairs recommended by Cody and Carl are legit and that they arent ripping me off. Thanks guys!

My wife and I recently purchased a late model used car from Wilkins Hyundai. We were skeptical about visiting a dealership during the Covid-19 virus. Our sales consultant Kevin Watt greeted us wearing a mask and gloves, respected our distance and offered us a professional no pressure experience buying experience ( the transaction was made between Kevin and I, never once did a Sales Manager need to introduce himself to close the deal). We were very happy with the deal we made on the vehicle. All paper work including a trade-in were signed outside on the dealerships lot. I will make Wilkins my first choice whenever my next need to purchase a car presents itself!

We are very happy with our Santa Fe, and the service regarding its purchase! We knew from the start that Wilkins Hyundai was the best choice for us. As everywhere, 7 months into a pandemic, one sees people laxing the mask protocol, and here was no different. At any time, 2-3 employees wore masks with noses out, or on chin - completely off nose and mouth. It seems the greatest offenders of this were the people who sat or stood behind the front counter on sales floor.Our sales person was very sweet. He was properly wearing his mask, but he had a seeping, infected eye, which he continued to dab with the same tissue that sat on his desk. There was no hand sanitizer at his desk, either. He handled my husbands license while touching his eye throughout; When he got up for approval, I made Dave go wash his hands and license thoroughly, and not to touch his desk or pen again. I also washed up after paperwork. Since our salesman had shown us buttons inside the car, we wiped down the insides, fobs and handles once we left the dealership to protect our eye health. While we stayed infection free, our salesman had 2 infected eyes when we returned a few days later.BTW, he is a heck of a nice person, and we would buy another car from him again in the future, down to his kindness and enthusiasm for the brand. Turned out to be old home week as associates knew of were family of old friends from our neighborhood. We also bought the 10-yr-100k mi service plan, so we will be back on a regular basis for service.The reason for only 4 stars was the health protocol...Thanks again!

I bought my little brother a Hyundai Sonata (not from Wilkins) and a week later, the car began making a knocking noise. Took it to a mechanic who then informed us that the engine needed to be replaced. He also told us that there was a recall on the engine and to take it to a Hyundai dealership and they Would possibly replace it for free. Well we brought it to Wilkins because it was closest to my house. They ran a few tests and came to the conclusion that it would need a new engine and that it would be free because of the warranty. Not only that, but they gave my brother a brand new loaner car for him to drive while his engine is being replaced. Awesome customer service from Natasha in the service department!

Its comforting to know the dealership that sold me my Hyundais has an excellent service department. They are thorough, informative, when my car is finished. An example is when they reminded me that having my fuel injectors cleaned was important to good performance and mileage. I had it done and I immediately noticed a dramatic and positive change in my engine.
