We had been in the market for a new mattress for a while now. Had built up a fair amount of fatigue cos when you have tested more than five beds it is just thoroughly confusing. Then I called up this store and spoke to Jeff. First off, Jeff was very transparent and accommodating, making it just very easy to talk to him and we decided to go to the store the same afternoon. The experience was just awesome. Jeff made us feel very comfortable and at ease, we took our time and ended up with the best mattress we had tried out so far. Hats off, and thanks again Jeff! Joe has been absolutely great in helping us pick a mattress. With staffing shortages from the pandemic, a lot of buyers have had to wait for their mattress and Joe has been on top of keeping us updated. While its frustrating that we dont have our mattress yet, Joe has been very responsive in updating us and going over and beyond to make sure that we will get our mattress.

We had a wonderful experience at Mattress Warehouse of Durham. Joe H. was such a huge help. We had good conversation. We felt like he wasnt pushy in wanting us to buy something. We went in about an hour before they closed. We ended up leaving about 30 minutes after they closed, but he showed no irritation and was just really willing to help us find a mattress we both loved, even though he had to stay a little longer after closing time. I am taking down 4 stars because of the sales issue. I had purchased a mattress with a promotion that I would be receiving a pair of pillows and set of sheets free with the purchase of the bedgear mattress. I recieved the mattress but not the free supplies. when I called the store about the issue they said that the promotion was taken off and I would not be receiving the supplies. This is a spam to lure in the customers. I had to call the stores multiple times and no answer. It is very hard to get hold of the sales guy (Daniel) who sold us the mattress and other sales person do not respond well to the queries.

This place—specifically V, our salesperson—was a lifesaver for my husband and I who recently moved to the Durham area. We were in an empty house with no furniture and didn’t want to sleep on an air mattress, plus we were thinking of buying a new mattress anyway. None of the other nearby stores had anything in stock nor seemed overly interested in helping us troubleshoot our situation, but as soon as we walked into Mattress Warehouse V was cheerful and engaged. Ms. V helped me out and she very kind and professional. Her knowledge about the different mattresses helped me to be able to pick out one the same day! However, after getting it home, I realized that the mattress is too high 😕. I am disappointed that this wasn’t asked/confirmed at checkout. I would recommend that bed measurements be a part of a checklist that is reviewed with each customer prior to completion of purchase considering how big of a purchase this is.

We recently moved to the Chapel Hill, NC area (during the COVID-19 pandemic) and had gotten rid of all our beds before the virus hit -- and then of course we had to shelter in place as a result of the statewide restrictions at that time. We had contacted Mattress Warehouse prior to our move (from the DC-Northern VA area), using general contact info, to determine when they might reopen any of their Triangle stores -- and they were very responsive to our inquiry/situation. We ended up at the Southpoint (Durham) location when they reopened a few stores and were helped by V, who was absolutely wonderful to work with. We were the first ones in the store as they reopened and like many others have stated, she was a joy. She provided information as we needed or she felt appropriate and we were allowed to take our time, with no pressure -- and to make decisions that best served our personal needs. In addition to what we felt was great service, we also received what we believed was great discounts and look forward to our new mattresses being delivered. If you need a mattress (we bought 2 mattress sets and one with an adjusting platform), we highly recommend that you stop by and talk with V at this particular location!
