Everyone asks me where did you buy your McLaren GT? Did you buy from Ryan or Larry? I am not sure about names but one name I’ll never forget. I tell the I bought it from Kyle Slawter the straight-forward young man at the Charlotte McLaren dealership. He is one heck of an honest, full of energy salesman that speaks and asks just the right questions and knew how to read me as a 57 year old man. In fact, I bought from him twice so far. My first mantis green 570S in January 2021 when I traded my former Stingray and 7 months later again to upgrade into the GT.People love the car and can’t seem to stop taking photos of it and Kyle was awesome. Twice!

I had been in the market for a McLaren 650 or 570S for over a year trying to find just the right car for just the right price. I spoke with several dealerships and some were helpful and responsive and others not. I got the impression immediately from some of the salesmen that I spoke to that they receive a lot of calls from buyers that are not serious and they treat everyone as though theyre just tire kickers. To be totally honest, I called McLaren Charlotte concerning two cars that they had and spoke with one salesman who said that he would view the car and call back with answers to my questions. He never called back. I spoke to another salesman a few months later and made an offer within $5,000 of the asking price on the other car. He politely told me that my offer was not enough and essentially ended the conversation. I expected a call back after they considered my offer with maybe a counteroffer but that didnt happen. Now comes the part where I praise this dealership. After reading many reviews I came upon Kyle Slawters name as a salesman that goes above and beyond to put deals together. I explained my past experience with his dealership and the reason that I chose to speak with him at our initial conversation. He assured me that he would do his best to put a deal together and he did just that! Kyle explained that the car I was interested in was getting its engine repaired and delivery would be delayed. We negotiated back and forth on a 2016 Mclaren 570S and settled on a price with the delay in mind. Kyle answered all my questions and provided a walk around video of the car. I felt very comfortable with buying the car sight unseen. I had the full car PPF installed, window tinting and Scrape Armor installed at the dealership. All work was exceptional! Communication was great throughout. Another delay occurred when some scratches were discovered on the carbon fiber door sills and front splitter. Kyle arranged for the repairs to be completed and did some additional work for me at no extra cost. He kept telling me that he wanted to make sure that I was happy when I received the car and I have to say I was not disappointed. If youre looking for a salesman who is honest, communicative, attentive to detail and looks out for his buyers then Kyle Slawter is your guy!

Rico has been nothing less of a gentleman, professional always available to take me calls always responding to my texts. He has made the whole experience better than an in person or face to face purchase. He even made sure to work with the shipping company so I could get the car safely and in time. Steve Cole and Brian (in financing) made buying my first car a breeze. Went to several other dealerships who questioned my seriousness given the cars I was looking at and my age - Charlotte McLaren does not prejudge customers when they walk in and have gone out of their way to be accommodating. They advocate FOR you and do everything in their power to make the process smooth and hassle-free. The models they sell (from used sports and luxury cars to million-plus Supercars) are beautiful representations and I never felt any doubt during the process - no slick or pushy salesmen here. I recently purchased a 2016 McLaren 675LT from McLaren Charlotte with just over 1,100 miles on the ODO. Im located in Frisco, TX, but I was referred to this dealer by a friend. I took quite the leap of faith in purchasing the car, used (and quite handily the most expensive car Ive owned), sight-unseen. To say that I lost a few nights of sleep would be understating things. That being said, I couldnt be happier with how things turned out. Because I already had the specific car chosen before contacting them, most of my interactions were with Justin in Finance. He was easy to communicate with via text and the car arrived exactly as described, in essentially as-new condition. The whole process was quick and no-nonsense, including the back and forth documentation mailings and delivery of the car. Its highly unlikely that this will be my last time giving business to McLaren Charlotte based on this experience.
