Wow, long time Boulder cycle sport shopper. Went with my wife to the NOBO location. Sorely disappointed with the CS skills of the gentleman who made essentially zero attempt to help us out with questions about purchasing an entry level bike. Not going back any time soon. Best of luck.

I was looking for a BMX bike for my son. I went to the North Boulder location and the sales person said they dont carry BMX bikes. I went home and checked the BCS web site and it said they do. I called the South Boulder location and the gentlemen said they had one. My son and I drove to the South location and we waited about 5 minutes to talk to some one. There were only 2 people working and the guy in service was in his own world. I told the 1 salesperson we wanted to buy the BMX bike. It took another 20+ to checkout. My son loves the bike but the service was so so.Update: My son took the bike back to BCS North location to get the brake and rear wheel adjusted. They took care of him then and there no charge. Must have been an off day when we bought the bike.

These guys were incredible. Im in town riding just for the weekend and broke a pedal off in my crank arm. The two gentlemen working fixed my bike in 15 minutes and suggested a couple of trails to ride. Great shop, will definitely be back anytime I am in Boulder.

Don’t waste your time. I went in ready to buy a bike with money in my pocket and all the guys at the shop acted like I was a nuisance. The guy who “helped” me was super annoyed from the moment I walked in (had to nearly beg him to help me) and did absolutely nothing unless I specifically asked for it. Really hoping it wasn’t one of those “because I’m a woman” or “she doesn’t look the part” type of situations. I ended up going to Full Cycle and getting exactly what I needed with a smile and they’ve been awesome ever since.

Got a bike off Craigslist and got a flat. Came here to get it fixed, but the servicer didnt see the cause. A few days later it was back. I came in again and had it checked out more thoroughly, and it turned out I needed better tires to protect my tubes from the goat heads around South Boulder. I was also given a discount to make up for the first time around, which made things right. Thanks guys!

Very good experience with the maintenance crew. I was having a clicking issue and after looking at it twice on the spot (for free) they only charged me when they had to schedule some time to dig deeper. They were then able to resolve it in a couple hours for a very fair price.Highly recommended as your Local Bike Shop!

Ive been a bike commuter here for 20 years (and a previous bike guide), and I was hoping to support my local, but I will not go back. All I was looking to do was replace a bike seat stem that had just been stolen on my townie, and the older gent (~late 40s/early 50s maybe w/ short greying hair and the split spectacles at the front desk) was not only condescending, but more or less suggested I take my business elsewhere even though he said they could order the part. Im not one to post a negative review (I think this is my first and sorry to impose on your precious time), but this is exactly the type of customer service that can give bike shops a bad rap - unfortunate..

Not impressed. Customer service was very mediocre. I had to basically hand a bike to an employee and say I want to buy this. Zero help, zero asking if I wanted help. When you dont even sound sure talking to me, I dont want to work with you. No one helped get a fit on a bike or a seat. Even after I picked out the bike, no help adjusting the handlebars to the right angle, no offers of additional resources or even a damn seat adjustment. I just dropped $500+, youd think the customer service would be at least helpful.Prices on the bikes were nice... Last years models are 10% off.Ill be in for my discounted services and then be on my way.

Harrison is a top notch mechanic. On multiple occasions, I have showed up with certain service needs in mind for various mountain bikes. Harrison always weighs in on whether the service is really needed and in the process has identified potential other issues. He’s responsive and clearly knows bikes really well. Of late, he’s spotted parts under recall and caught a frame integrity issues I had not noticed (nor had many other mechanics who have serviced the bike). He’s my go-to guy.

Overall a Great Bike shop. Both locations have always provided nothing but professional service, advice, and product selection. You cant go wrong with either location!!! Thanks BCS Crew!!

I brought in a new bike, bought from a different local shop that I was having issues with. Carl got me in right away to fix it. It turned out to be a very minor issue and the team took care of it as a service to me. Carl went above and beyond for an issue that wasn’t even their responsibility. BCS saved me an hour in the car to take it back to the shop I bought the bike from. I can’t recommend Carl and the team more highly. Keep up the great work!

Once again BCS continues to impress. I purchased my most recent mountain bike purchase because of the OUTSTANDING customer service they provided. Specifically I have worked with Bob V. for the past 6 months in getting my purchase of a bike finalized, working through my questions to get things dialed in, and other purchases for my bike. Bob is simply one of the finest representatives of the biking industry and the importance of customer service that Ive seen in a long time. I continue to drive the 1+ hour drive to BCS in order to be treated right/fairly, get expert work done, and to feel completely satisfied once I leave.

I was having problems with my fat tire bike and went there. On the phone the receiver was very nice and polite. When I went in there the first time and the guy was great and very nice. The second time I went there a different guy who was condescending and made me feel very uncomfortable. He told me I needed to ordered another part, which I had already did. Then he found it and put it on my bike but he kept saying strange things to me. Kind of fussing as to why I want to add these stabilizers on my wheels. I have a disability and needed special help and he was so rude and made me upset. So I left with my bike and I will never recommend this place or go there again.

New to Boulder, I took my road bike in for part sizing, etc and to decide whether or not to have their team do the repairs or just do it myself. Although I did reach them toward the end of the day, the service team came across extremely arrogant and acted as though coming in 45 min before close with service questions severely inconvenienced them. They proceeded to sell me parts which were too large for my bike without actually sizing them, and appeared equally annoyed when I came back to make it right. They then tried to give me some tech jargon about their products which was either incorrect or delivered with a complete lack of clarity in what appeared to be an attempt make the service tech sound smart. I dont need to say what my background is, but I really dont think what was said to me would pass the smell test of any mechanic worth your time and money. Just save yourself the annoyance and condescension and go somewhere else.

Received excellent customer service buying new ski boots and bindings. And, at the same time I learned about how I can get into a mountain bike. Extremely nice and convenient that BNS moved into this space. Took my Yeti SB5 here when he factory SRAM Guide R brakes were seizing up. Unbeknownst to me, and apparently another LBS who serviced this same issue over the summer, this was a warranty issue. I should mention that I swung by here, still in my riding gear, from a local ride when the issue reared it’s head. Harrison in service immediately empathized with my brake problem and fixed the issue before I could finish a beer next door!A+ service experience! Boulder Cycle Sport will be my go to from now on!

I rented a BMC road bike from BCSO to race the Ironman Boulder over the past weekend (Im from Phoenix). The experience was much more than satisfaction. Their friendly and helpful staff adjusted the bike for my height and installed my clip-on aerobars and rear bottle cage for free. The rental comes with a flat fixing kit in a saddle bag. The price is very reasonable. Its a great all-around bike for long rides, climbs and speed. I finished the race with a decent bike split. Thank you BCSO. Hope to visit you again next time when Im in town.
