8/2021 I was traveling and my 2 month old iPhone is having Sim Card issues. Tried to walk in and they said it was a 6 hour wait. Fun vacation! So lived with it till I got home to Chicago and got in right away. Nice people, just not somewhere were I want to sit and wait for 6 hours.

Dont expect them to have stock and expect a wait. You have to make an appointment to even buy something or talk to the staff about a product. Better to just buy online or from somewhere else like BestBuy or Target. The only good thing about the store is you can easily try out the options and see the colors in real lighting.

I dropped my MacBook for repair and got a call to come pick it up, they asked me when I can come and I said I will be there around 4:30 pm Saturday. I came and check in person asked me to wait in line . I literally needed to wait more than 2 hours just to pick my MacBook nothing else.Not a good customer service at all. All they ask you to wait for no reason.

We had an appointment today and thought we would swing by the store early. We were about an hour before our appointment time and didn’t think it would be a problem as there were maybe 6 guests in the entire store and at least 6 employees standing around. On the website it clearly states you can either shop by appointment or walk-ins, so obviously an appointment wasn’t even necessary. When we showed up they said, “nope, can’t take you until your appointment time.” Seriously, there are 6 employees just standing around, by the entrance not doing anything, and the store wasn’t busy at all. Makes me wonder what they are paying their employees for, to just stand around all day because its obvious they don’t want to sell apple products. We did walk past this store a few more times and same scenario, lots of employees standing around doing nothing with an almost empty store. We won’t be giving our business to this store. Horrible!

I’ve spent over $6,000 on computers at this location, in multiple trips, over the past week. Despite the long wait times In & out of the store, there are always plenty of staff just hanging out. Every time. One evening it was particularly hot-I couldn’t breathe while I was waiting for the employee to ring out my computer, they mandate masks, social distancing, & appointments for vaccinated-despite current CDC guidelines. I stood to the side with my mask not over my nose, but over my mouth & told the manager I couldn’t breathe, I was vaccinated & I would leave as soon as they processed my computer. I was harassed, called names and belittled by a manager out of the store. He was 5’10”, dark skin & wearing a blue shirt. He should be fired.I have heavy asthma & really could have passed out due to how long & warm it was taking. Doesn’t seem to be about health & safety here, seems to be poor management/ staffing & complete lack of customer service.

I went to the Apple store with card in hand just to buy a watch charger and get out. I communicated as much to the front entrance person, but was still placed in the queue. While I waited, a few employees randomly came by and asked why Id come in today, even though Id already given that info just to get into the queue. After nearly 10 minutes, I was helped, and from that point the transaction was quick and smooth, which is the only reason why I gave 3 stars vs. 2. However, an instantly solvable customer request shouldnt follow the same procedure as someone waiting for a consultant / genius.

Just lost a sale. I had an appointment to see an Apple rep about purchasing an iPhone and the security guard told me I had to wear a mask. I simply refused and he said I could not go in the store. I responded by telling him he lost a sale and he said “we’ll be alright”. Do not buy from this store. Go to Best Buy and buy your iPhone where you don’t have to wear a mask and don’t need to make an appointment to buy their product.

I went in this store to purchase Airpods, not only was the store overcrowded and loud, I had a bad experience with the apple associate helping me. When I was talking to the man he was odd as it is. But let me tell you about this animal. When he lifted up his arms, it reeked of dirty rags. Like an old washing machine. I mean this guy literally stank so hard I had to close my nostrils. Maybe he just just forgot deodorant or a few hundred showers, but i’d be pleasant and gracious to never experience that again in my life. I think I lost a few nose hairs after that. I won’t he returning to this location.

My wife and I went there for new Apple TV+. We walked in and found the Apple TV display. We waited for 10mins and 3 employees walked past us. Not even asking, if we needed assistance?We decided to leave and notice check in employee standing by the side of entrance door. I explained the situation and all he said was: “You need to check in”After that, I told him I wasn’t Interested anymore. He said “Goodbye, please leave the store”. He said It 2 more times.Never shopping there again!

The manager is very rude he stated “you shouldn’t have apple products if you can’t remember the passwords” not knowning me and my sisters mom has had a medical emergency and has forgot everything from what day it is to simple directions home. Came in wanted to buy a new iPhone. Guess what, I never had to put so much effort on giving people money. They told me in order to buy a phone, I gotta reserve a “shopping session” and I had to come in later in the day cuz that’s the earliest available. What I saw was more employees than customers over here but I gotta wait for couple of hours to buy a product from them??? This is just absurd.

The Apple employee that greeted me at the front door was rude as well. I stepped 1 step too close and he acted completely disgusted. The other 2 employees I met were pleasant!

The worst experience I’ve ever had with apple. I bought my AirPods last year from London in a well known Shopping center- Stratford and when I brought my product to be repaired I was told by management in the mall of America location that my product if a fake because my serial number is printed on the wrong side. The most frustrated experience and worst customer service, after waiting for about two hours I was told to leave.The security is rude and so are the employees that welcomed me in. Very unwelcoming!!!

Horrible. Very long story short; they gave my Mac back to me saying it was working when it wasnt. If you havent updated to Big Sur yet, dont! I tried updating Saturday and it crashed my Mac. I called tech support and they set up an appointment for me at 12 on Sunday. I showed up at 12, they then told me it would take 2-3 hours before they could even get to it and see if they could fix it or not. 3 hours and 45 minutes later, I hadnt heard anything so I stopped back at the store. The person I spoke to said it was in queue and it may be 24-48 hours yet. I asked to speak to a manager. She actually went and checked on things. 10 minutes later she came back with a tech person saying they had a working computer for me. I was thrilled. I went home to boot it up....not working. I dont even think they looked at it! I tried calling the store and of course cant call it directly; it took me into the general Apple support number. I was transferred to another tech person and she told me that they have been inundated with calls about Mac crashing when trying to do the Big Sur update and the only way to fix it was to erase the Mac and start over. This person was amazing and helped me walk through everything. However, I am furious. Had I known there were problems, I wouldnt have tried to update. Also, the fact that they lied to me at the Apple Store is absolutely insane. This review is truly my only recourse. Apple is so huge, they dont care. One person having a horrible experience isnt going to stop the millions of others from owning and buying Apple products, so why should they provide great support?

We brought in an iPhone XR in like new condition that stopped responding after an update. Boyfriend was seething with rage after spending a full day going from Verizon to various other places recommended by Apple support phone number to get his phone fixed. After having to drive to Minnesota and being given more bad news, we got an appt with Katie at the Apple store in mall of America and left more than satisfied with a new XR as her diagnostics found the same thing we had told everyone before and went to told that we were wrong. 🙄 the update DID cause the problems and Katie was able to prove that. Thank you Katie for all the help and calming my boyfriend down. Thank you!!!!

Ordered an iPad for Mother’s Day and paid for the two hour delivery. I waited three hours after the two hour window had closed to call. I was told it is a beta program and not very dependable. They agreed to drop the extra delivery charge and it would be delivered the next day. Woke up to find it had been cancelled all together. Really Apple? You make it difficult to keep paying premiums for your products.

Not sure what the benefits of buying from an actual Apple store. I tried to go in the Apple store at the mall of America last year to buy a watch but the employee was so arrogant and made my daughter feel uncomfortable so we left. I want to purchase a new iPhone and tried to go in there today and it just seems so awkward lol. They accept walk ins but you have to go through an interview process to get in. Or schedule an appointment. Sooooo, I will go to my cell phone provider who offers the same merchandise and actually lives on planet earth.

Went there yesterday with my phone screen not working after system update the night before. She ran few tests and restored my phone,no success and said the screen needed to be changed for $300. I asked for trade in price and she quote me $95. My phone is only 1.5yrs old, no scratch, no dent. She did tell me system update could do that to phone. Well, if she acknowledged that, why isnt she fixing my screen for free? I wrote a complain to apple support team and I am able to sent in my phone for fixing and its free including shipping. Dont take your phone to apple store, instead write/chat to them online. Much more efficient and rewarding and saves time.

I had bad experience here twice, even if you have appointment you have to wait here 2-3 hours and, they just take the few people in even if they come after you and if they know him or they want to buy something new. Such a bad experience Not one time but couple if times. Just want to tell you guys we are buying expensive items from you mot vegetables, treat your customers nicely or one day Apple is going to be there but not your store because of your bad customer service.

My husband, brother, and I came here today but before we called and were told that they closed at 7pm so, I told her that I’m an hour away and if I came I would get there around 6pm so if I would still be able to get in there because I know some places close lines in hour before actually closing but she told me that they close right at 7pm and that I could go in! So we drove an hour, get there and they tell us we needed an appointment, so I told Kristin (who works at the Apple store) what happened and she wasn’t helpful. It was awful customer service and refused to help me. I then called the manger when I was leaving and he was the same way with no customer service. I use to like coming to this store but now I’m never coming here again.MAKE CUSTOMER SERVICE GREAT AGAIN!!

We arrived at the Apple Store today and were a bit disappointed by the need to make an appointment. The manager was quite gracious and helped us set up an appointment for the next day. It was at this point I misunderstood a comment by the manager, on a matter of politics, and got a little upset. After we walked away I was informed of what was actually said and went back to clean up my mess. Not only was the manager gracious in accepting my apology he invited us to jump in on an opening allowing us to accomplish what we originally hoped to do. While I dont always agree with how stores deal with the current pandemic I am always impressed when a manager or employee is able to create a positive experience while balancing policy. Kudos Apple!

Seems to be more efficient at getting things diagnosed and getting things quickly fixed. Took off one star since they moved locations but the store size is still smaller than Microsoft. I felt uncomfortable since you are stacked not like an Apple on a tree but like sardines in a can.

I love Apple. Innovation in form and function. The Apple store is a great place to learn about new products and talk to staff who really understand how they work. Had a genius bar appointment. Was 30 minutes late. I had called on the phone and talked to someone explaining this. They said come on in its fine. Get there and was told I would have to make a new appointment 2 hours later. To make it worse I had gone to their old location because they still hadnt updated their Google maps location.Edit: Scheduled a new appointment a few days later. Showed up 5 minutes early and still waited over 30 minutes. So if Im 30 minutes late Im out of luck but if Apple is 30 minutes behind its ok.

I happened to get my Mac Book when I was not expecting it, especially with the free pair of Beats with that purchase. Tim with the Mac Books is my favorite tech person I have ever had the pleasure of working with! I recommend going here for a Mac Book, its worth the drive if youre farther away!😊

Highly advise you not to go here. Powerbeats headphones broke after having them for less than a year, went in with a receipt to get warranty for them, waited 1.5 hours to get an appointment, another half hour just to talk to an Apple employee, then another 40 minutes for the employee to go in back to “check the receipt” regarding the warranty. The tech then left before talking with me, as her shift was over. This was all to renew an active warranty agreement

If I was able to give this store 0 stars I absolutely would. I have never experienced such poor customer service from a company. I have also never left a store as dissatisfied as I’ve left the Apple store at the Mall of America. I would not recommend this store (or company) to anyone. I made sure to schedule an appointment in advance, when I arrived on time for the SCHEDULED appointment I had, I was told I had about a 45 minute wait. Then the people next to me were assisted, when they were done they looked at me and said, “You had an appointment?” I told them yes and they informed they didn’t have an appointment and they were able to be assisted while I waited another 20 minutes for assistance. When I asked one of the employees what the point of scheduling an appointment is if they don’t follow the appointments or if you still have to wait 45 minutes+, I was then informed “It’s like a doctors office just because you made an appointment doesn’t mean we will see you at that time” That is one crappiest response I’ve ever received from an employee. Today when I was in the store for another issue I was having, there was another customer in the store there to pick up her phone (that they had in the back on hold for her) and they told her it would be about two hours before they could help her, TWO HOURS FOR THEM TO GO BACK AND GET HER PHONE THAT SHE ALREADY PAID FOR, when she told them she didn’t have two hours to wait they told her to come back tomorrow. Apple employees must believe that their time is more valuable than everyone else’s or at least that’s the message they send to their customers. If there’s another Apple store near you that’s a little farther of a drive I would definitely recommend driving the extra miles for hopefully better service than the “customer service” they provide at this store.
