Autohaus Bayern did a fantastic job. I asked a lot of questions about the work being done, and they never hesitated keeping me up to date on the status of my vehicle. I also checked the estimates they gave me with almost all the shops in the area, and they were consistently the lowest price. When I got my vehicle back it ran extremely well. The mechanic also left me a list of things to take a look at and deal with when I was able to, which is much appreciated.Overall, I would recommend Autohaus to anyone!
I was visiting family in Portland and the drivetrain warning came on. They were able to get a diagnosis done to insure the car was safe to drive home to CA. They were friendly and helpful and I wouldnt hesitate to go back if I needed anything.Autohaus Bayern was great, skip the dealerships.
I had replaced my timing chain and afterwards there where some codes that appeared, I dont have the scan tools and experience to know what to look for on BMWs so, afraid I had damaged something, I brought my car to Autohaus Bayern. They scanned the car, found the codes, cleared the adaptive values and performed the necessary VANOS relearning procedure. I also had them diagnose a wobble in my steering, which turned out to be a worn CV axle. They where friendly and had me in the same week, which was great because I dont have a ton of spare time to be working on my own car. I appreciate how they treated me, some places can be condescending when you bring in something you tried to fix yourself, and I will be recommending them to all of my friends who own European vehicles.
We’ve used Autohaus Bayern on a few occasions now for our 2007 Audi Wagon. Every time they’ve been speedy, thorough, friendly and fair. The quality of work has been great with no follow up issues. We’d highly recommend.
I developed an intermittent problem with my cars ignition shutting off without any notice. Autohaus Bayern diagnosed the problem with professionalism. After owning my own automotive shop for 40+ years I was amazed of the high quality service this company provides. Its very hard these days to find this level of service and a repair center that takes that much pride in their work. They repaired my cars no start issue right away. Their shop is meticulously clean showing me a new level of experience that leaving my car in their care was an easy decision. I trust Autohaus Bayern and I believe you can too. Thank you.
We have a 2013 Mini Cooper Countryman. Marshall has helped us with our car for the last 2 years now and we need to share how much he has helped us. Automobiles are not where we are most knowledgeable. We wholeheartedly trust Marshalls knowledge and think he has saved us thousands of dollars. We purchased our Mini from the dealership on Canyon and have been given over inflated quotes. In addition, quotes on our car that simply needed no attention. We will continue to reach out to Marshall without hesitation. Hes patient, informative, & does not pressure us. Don’t waste your time going anywhere else for your German car needs.
Fantastic repair and customer service. My VW up and died on me and they diagnosed the problem and repaired it very quickly and now it runs better than before
George, one of the Master Technicians, and the GM Marshal, are always professional, excellent to work with and generally make it a great experience. Its obvious that they have a high level of care and skill whenever theyve taken care of my car. I would recommend them to any BMW enthusiast.
I was very pleased with the quality and efficiency of their service. Will be definitely returning and recommending to others.
Super good and fast service. Nice and friendly staff. Kept me updated at all times. These guys went out of their way to make sure everything was working good on my car and they did a beautiful job @ a good price too. Going to bring my Mercedes here from now on for all my service needs.
Went above and beyond my expectations. Quality service from knowledgeable mechanics. Price is very reasonable and staff is friendly. Will be a return customer.
People at Autohaus Bayern are extremely friendly and they provide service at very reasonable price compared to Porsche delearship. Only reason I did not give them 5 stars is, both times I had my car serviced, they forgot to reset the displays and the car was still showing overdue service on its display. Other than this, its been very pleasant to work with them.Well, this time they did not do the same mistake and thus I am increasing their stars!
I went here after getting some very expensive quotes from other BMW mechanics. They had a very fair price and the quality of service was great. Fast turn around time, I have had the car in a couple times and they always finish on schedule for me to pick up when expected. They even took my car into the shop over night to protect from the elements. I would highly recommend them.
Very good shop. Excellent mechanic. My BMW 528iAT wagon is always taken care of by them. Will not go anywhere else.
To be short, this is the best place Ive ever had my BMW serviced. Great service and at reasonable prices. The master mechanic actually spoke to me at length about the work he did (Chris). Marshall is also amazing. I highly recommend Autohaus. My name is Grant - I own an 07 335i (my baby).
I needed some details about some work that had been done on a car that I was considering buying and Marshall gave me information helpful to evaluate the car. Thanks to him.
Great work; on time; on my third bmw theyve worked on.
I have used this shop exclusively for years! I always appreciate the many years of knowledge that George has and can always fix tough problems that many would be stumped by. When I have a question about my car, George is great at explaining what is wrong with my BMWs and what needs to be fixed. Also, getting tips on how I can keep my car out of the shop is always nice! I trust this shop over any dealer shop working on my car!
Very fair, super friendly and knowledgable about all things BMW. Cant recommend more strongly. Worked with Marshall and he was excellent.
Best place to take your BMW. Best mechanics and service techs around. I cant recommend them enough!!!Ive had acouple things done here like oil changes and basic repairs but my last interaction with autohaus bayern makes it the only Ill take my bmw in the Portland area. I was originally quoted over $1000 for a fuel system problem on my BMW and approved the work to be done. Shortly after I got a call saying what I need to have done would actually be covered under warranty. Even went out of their way to find a tow company to transport my car to the dealership so I didnt have to go back in just for that. Saved me so much time stress and money. 10/10 service!!!!
Took my BMW in for an overheating issue. I informed the service manager the water pump had been replaced a month ago. When I picked up my car I found out they replaced not only my thermostat but my brand new water pump as well. I questioned the service manager about this and they told me they cannot warranty the work If they don’t replace both. This is complete dishonest BULL S**T.
I had a wonderful experience at Autohaus Bayern! I came here as an out-of-state potential buyer of a BMW at a local dealership, wanting a pre-purchase inspection. The shop was very accommodating/flexible in schedule and were able to get the car right in for the inspection after I flew in and dropped it off. Their waiting room is setup for a comfortable work or hang-out environment with free wifi, couches, tables, recent (not old!) magazines, and a clean restroom. Their inspection revealed some items of concern that the selling dealerships inspection did not catch, which allowed me to negotiate down on the price a little more. I am super stoked to have found Autohaus Bayern and would certainly return if I was in Portland and needed a service or repair!
Friendly professional service, clear no pressure explanations. Quality repair. Had me back on the road in 1 day. Highly recommend!
I went here for a DEQ test. The guy who performed the test was very fast and extremely helpful. I even heard him on the phone talking to other customers and he was extremely patient and helpful to them. It was refreshing to see someone care about actually care about helping people.
Great work. Friendly, patient people who will help you with maintaining and improving your vw. Thanks for the great work!
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff!
My experience with Autohaus Bayern was outstanding and I recommend them without reservation. I had driven past the shop many times so when my daughters BMW stopped working and needed to be towed, we selected Autohaus Bayern. Eric was wonderful to work. He was friendly, professional and trustworthy. Autohaus Bayern was thorough at diagnosing and communicating the condition of the car, repairs needed, and providing smart advise. I found them to be competent, reasonable and honest, and they provided the best experience I have ever had with a repair shop. I will definitely go back to Autohaus Bayern next time.
Best Audi mechanics in town! If youre looking for outstanding service at great prices then this is the place. Been bringing my cars here for 4 years now and have always had great and personal service. Eric has been an incredible addition to their team. That guy will not sleep until your vehicle is fixed. Cant say enough about this business, old school good service!
My first time here. Staff is patient with explanations, thorough with their assessments and recommendations, and HONEST. They stay late to get the job done. Plus, they are all just very nice to work with. Really wonderful people.
Great experience. Honest, upfront, good price and was very informative. Eric was great to work with and got our car back on the road (BMW X5). I’ll be taking my 330i in the next time I need anything done. Thank you Autohaus.
Marshall and George went above and beyond to squeeze our pre-purchase inspection into an already full day. Their thorough report and demonstration of an issue helped me negotiate an expensive repair with the vendor before we bought the vehicle.
We have used this great company for our Audi and Mercedes. They are experts in maintaining cars once they are out of warranty. They always give me a very clear estimate of both time and dollars, and execute the work with precision. They key thing is they fix what you need fixed and do not try to sell you services you do not need. They are experts at sourcing both factory as well as OEM components depending on your preference.Eric is a great service writer with 15 years of experience doing actual repair work. You can depend on him to give you expert advice on how to proceed.George frequently does our work, which has always been perfect and is usually done ahead of schedule. He is an amazing source of information on the best way to take care of your car and maintain it properly.I have experience with other shops and highly value the fact I do not need to second guess this repair team. I know they have my best interests at heart.
Went there for MERCEDES parts
I went in for an oil change and had a great experience. I chose the Autohaus team over another local dealer simply by the quality of interaction when calling ahead.Eric and the team did an excellent job of getting me in with short notice and completed the work quickly while even finishing the work below the quoted cost!Great job! I was very satisfied.
George is amazing!I’ve worked there for a few years through high school and I’ve had George work on my M3 and he’s the reason it runs so well today.George is one of the only people I trust due to the Supercharger setup it has.Highly recommend!
My car was serviced here by the previous owner, and has had thousands in repairs done here. For the most part, I have been very satisfied with both the work and the people at Autohaus. However, after they changed the timing belt, a leak developed between the water pump and the engine block. When I took the car into the shop for diagnosis, they told me that they found coolant stop-leak in the cooling system and the repair would not be covered under their warranty. I have never used any product like that on any vehicle, and if the previous owner used it they would have noted it (they had done a lot of cooling system work in the past). I ended up paying to do the timing belt ($1500) and no issues since. Gave them another chance when I took the car back when the temp gauge was malfunctioning, and told them I thought it might be a thermostat or coolant temperature sensor. They told me they believed it was the thermostat, which requires replacing the timing belt AGAIN! (Wouldnt this have been replaced twice already?) So I took the car to another shop where they replaced the coolant temp sensor, and all was well. I have not returned since and do not plan on it.
This shop is top notch. All the way from the front desk to the mechanics. Excellent communication from the office about the jobs in progress. What a treat it is to have an open channel to the work in progress. I really appreciate that. The folks in the shop with their hands on the tools are all careful and thorough and outstanding mechanics. By training, I am an aircraft mechanic (read: *particular*precise*exacting*), and I trust this shop with my rare and exotic German automobiles completely. I could not recommend them any higher!
While I appreciate and understand the craftsmanship and effort that goes into fixing BMWs, I feel the cost was quite steep, and I think my trust was abused due the urgent need. The pick up and drop off service was nice, but overall I would do more research before taking your car here.Edit: Changing my review to one star. There isnt anything else to clear up. You already took a substantial sum of my money. Tough lesson learned.
Incredible and honest service saves you a lot of money that other local service providers fail to provide. Please work with Eric who will treat you right. I am recommending all of my friends who have BMW to see Eric. Cheers!
Came in looking for some parts that the BMW dealership was charging and arm and a leg for. These guys went out of their way and helped me out completely. Very good customer service.
Super friendly and knowledgeable. Helped me out big time. 10/10 would absolutely recommend. Wide range of German cars in their shop every time I pass by. Check them out!
UPDATED REVIEW:Great Customer Service and knowledgeable Technicians. Great Staff too.... welcoming reception area. The Lead Technician, is the reason I take my BMWs to Autohaus. Very friendly guy and knowledgeable ... one of the BEST rated BMW Technician in the Portland Area.Location: Easily accessible, ideally located, right-off the highway.Cost$$$: Pricing maybe on the dealership side, but I finally now understand what the following phrase means ... You think BMW Technicians are expensive, try your local mechanic. I agree.Wisdom and experience is priceless...
Outstanding customer service. I am always happy this company service. Timely and superfast service 5 star
I once asked these guys about a replacement part for my older BMW. I expected them to tell me they could order it and it would cost me several hundred dollars. Instead, the owner told me where I could go down the street and pick up the part for a fraction of the cost.Ever since then I have trusted them with my repairs because I believe they offer great service at a fair price. A lot of time, I have a little sticker shock when I get repairs done. But I always feel these guys are really honest about the work that needs to be done and are really reasonable about the costs and labor.I would definitely recommend them.
Ive been going to AB for >8 years and have been extremely pleased by the level of service to my 2002 BMW 540i. They are much better priced than the dealers in town and quite often willing to go the extra mile to do the repair vs. replacement approach. Darby and the team at AB have always given me good advice on all my scheduled maintenance and repairs and i would highly recommend them.
I have been using this shop for 11 year for my BMW repairs. They have been professional, prompt, and very reasonable the entire time. They have helped me with error lights decoding. Each repair the look thru the entire car, brakes, etc for anything else that could need service. Their service technician George is friendly and experienced. He has been there a long time and I can count on him doing the job excellently. They always have recommendations but NEVER push you to make them unless you confirm first. Their estimates are always spot on. They have worked on three different models Ive owned overtime. They are fast and reliable and I would highly recommend them.
George is hands down one of the most knowledgeable BMW technicians in the area. In addition, he is very professional, honest, and friendly. I highly recommend him!
Great company! I used this company for the first time and I would definitely use them again !!!! Fast and great service. Would recommend highly.
Loved George! He fixed my BMW and explained the repairs needed in terms I could understand. It is great to find a mechanic you can trust!
Autohaus Bayern Excellent customer service. Thank you for helping me! Job well done!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Would recommend to others.
Recently moved to Beaverton, Portland from Colorado Springs, Colorado and my Audi TTS was backfiring and performing terribly so I stopped by Autohaus to see when they could get me in to check out my baby and see what needs to be done. They took me in immediately and evaluated her and determined she was misfiring on 2 sparkplugs. During the diagnostics test, they discovered several faults recommended fixes that were less expensive that I had expected. I asked them to take a look at my breaks also and discovered that my rear were only 10% and front were 60%. So, I had them fix those too. When I picked up my car and took it for a road test, I was pleasantly impressed with the take off power. I have had this car in the shop many times and this is the first time I was eager to do business with this shop in the future. I need new shocks soon and this shop is who I will trust to do me right. Finding a trust worthy shop has always been my biggest problem. Companies dont stand behind their work like they used too, but Autohaus has shown me something different and they will continue to get my business.
Dont take your car here!....I had a diagnostic ran at BMW and simply asked these guys to repair what BMW had already stated was the issue, my warranty was covering the entire thing...they decided after the service to add parts they said wasnt covered to my bill only for me to call my warranty company and find out the the parts were never submitted...& when I called and asked her about it she was rude told me that my car was complete and that they would start charging me a fee if I didnt come pick it up Immeadiately ...these people are crooks..Simple and plain
Darby and guys always take great care of my E46 M3s, X5 4.6is and now my e60 M5. Their pricing is fair and turn around good as well. Really nice having these guys right up the road and doing great work.
This place is above top shelf in service and attitude.
Great knowledgable staff, willing to really help people.
Great Customer Service and knowledgeable.😮 The work quickly while even finishing the work below the quoted cost! Thanks a lot
I am so confident in taking my BMW to Autohaus Bayern! The customer service is the best! George is so patient, and explains everything. I will only take my car to Autohaus Bayern!!!
Been to several BMW mechanics and this is by far the best and most trustworthy! Once I found Autohaus, I never took my car anywhere else!
Unable to perform a diagnostic test on any car. Take care to a different place. They like replacing parts without obvious reason.
Good place to have your German car serviced. Great staff too!
My experience with Autohaus Bayern was outstanding.Very good customer service.Thnaks a lot
Very overpriced auto mechanic compared to other shops in the area. The customer service is terrible, to say the least. The older lady who answered the phone has a really nasty attitude.
I wish these guys Fixed Sprinter Vans, when BMW makes Sprinter These guys Im Sure would fix it better then Anyone.
When I first took my Mini Cooper to Autohaus I was very satisfied. When I picked up my car the service manager had told me the service person had put the silplate on the wrong side. He did not charge me the silplate but said he would order another one. This was on 8-21-18. In the mean time my brakes started squeaking. On the 10th of September I stoped in to ask the manage about the silphate and take to him about the squeaking brakes. He had forgotten about ordering the silphate . He would order it immediately and call me when he had received the siphate and call be when he could work me in to look at the brakes. Today is 24th of Sept. and I have not heard anything from him I have had a different company to ck the breaks. There was a part missing from the break work. He also shared with me that the wrong (too heavy for the weather coming up) and that the fuel pump work was covered by the manufacture warranty . I am very upset with the misrepresentation and workmanship of the Autohaus company and would highly discourage anyone from going there.
Terrible customer care, with no sense of ownership. Some may consider this a small issue, but sometimes its the little things that matter most. Took my car in, old vw 81. They resolved my issue, the mechanic Kelly nice guy. However the rubber shoe that covered my clutch pedal was off and broken. I took it in, the lady at the desk said its an old car and things will break( which I understand ). She took no responsibility for the fact they were the ones who broke it. All you had to do was tell me and say sorry, it woulda been cool. Instead of being cold and making it my fault for having an old car. Also my exhaust temp tac no longer works. Dont worry guys Id rather figure that out on my own then ever come back to you. Thanks!
I recommend anyone to go there!!!!Thank you guys !!!
I will recommend as well. I have been taking my X5 there for the last 3 yrs, they know what they are doing.
I cant say enough good things about Darby and the guys at Autohaus Bayern! This is the ONLY place I would ever trust to work on my BMW. These guys know there stuff, theyre honest and upfront, and they are not crooks like so many mechanics are!
I highly recommend Autohaus Bayern. I have been a customer since 2011 and have always been pleased with their work, pricing and friendly staff.
Took my 84 Porsche 911 Targa for a simple fuel ratio adjustment, was told that my cat wont ever start working until I drove it at least 59 miles. So, just about everything I make is less than 50 miles. Brilliant diagnosis done by the old lady at the front counter. Tried it anyway, didnt pass DEQ.Brought it back and they say they adjusted the fuel ratio and it should pass. Well see. They also broke my door catch and denied it. They just stuck half the fastener back in and called it good. Called back and talked to the old lady at the countered and she talked over everything I was trying to relate to her....a real people person.Oh, and they did a nice polish jod on my newly apholstered leather seats with some goons oily hands. Didnt even try to clean it off. These guys should never touch a Porsche..truly hacks.....probably marginally talented with bugs though.Do you self a favor and pass these guys up.
I have had five BMWs over the lat 15 years. These guys know their stuff. I used to do all my own work, but this shop may change my mind. Staff = A+!
I called with a question about the cost to do a 1 hour diagnostic to have something checked on my car. The service manager was rude and lectured me about how expensive it is to own a German car and how I should be expecting thousands of dollars per year for maintenance and basically ridiculed my questions. Based on this, I did not end up taking my car here.
Autohaus is OK, not great. Any German auto shop is going to be on the spendy side, but I find that on average, I seem to spend more here than I do at other shops. Plus, the last time I went in, they accidently charged me $50 more than I was supposed to pay because they forgot to deduct the inspection fee from my repair costs. I realized afterwards and they fixed it in a few days, but it was good that I double-checked. Also, their time estimate was way off the last time I was in. Was told a fix would be done by noon. When I came in at noon, I had discovered that the mechanic had gone to lunch early. I had to sit around another 1.5 hours before the repair was actually completed..
SAD SAD SAD... weve been taking cars to Autohaus Bayern for over 13 years, terrible to see what the new owners are doing to the place. Complete rip-offs & the customer service person is downright rude. Never again!
If there was an Olympic Event category of Auto Repair, George & Kelly would be the Gold Medal receivers I have yet to meet Mechanics at this caliber!
Sloppy and overpriced. Had to bring my car back multiple times due to unresolved issues. They ended up charging me over $3K for what was essentially a tune up and water pump. AVOID!
