This is the only place we will take our German vehicles (we currently own an Audi TT, Audi S4, and Audi Q5). Ive been coming here since I got my first Audi back in 2012 (A3, RIP). Were mod monsters and these guys kill the modifications game. Theyre honest, trustworthy and cool as s%@& - they know their stuff and wont sell you repairs you dont need.

Just came back from Futrell Autowerks and am incredibly impressed by their professionalism, customer service, super knowledgeable, and honest and upfront. Also great attention to detail. They moved quickly on getting one of my vehicles done on several items that take a lot of work, reasonable prices too. The shop was organized and clean. Dean doesnt feel competent performing dogbone mount installs.After reading through these reviews I decided to contact them via email. I explained things clearly and politely as other reviews suggest he doesnt have a professional temperament. He replied with the suggestion to purchase inserts rather than a full dogbone replacement. After informing him that I already have the ECE dogbone mount he decided to decline the service. All of that to lead to my original statement.

Great shop. Dean always keeps you informed and upfront about costs and the status of your vehicle. Prices are reasonable for the complexity of the work. In addition to repair work they do performance, sometimes its nice to do both at the same time. This is a great place to take your vw or Audi. Futrell has worked on three of my A4s with no issues.

Great people first and foremost, there is nothing more valuable to me then a shop with integrity. I burden them with basic maintenance on my old audi and they are always super cool, keep it running well and charge a more then fair price - they wouldnt even accept a tip on my last service, intended in the spirit of supporting local businesses that may be hurting during covid lockdown! Super cool vibe too, makes me wish I had a better ride that was worth having them tune!

I visited Dean at Futrell Autoworks about 3 months ago to perform an APR stage 1 ECU-TCU tune on my 2015 Audi A3 2.0T and they made it an amazing experience. Since then I’ve ditched the “dealer” and have started using Futrell for all my general maintenance and performance needs!

Im a fan of Futrell, they did a stage 1 than 2 on my gti and couldnt be happier. Dean is very knowledgeable and his opinion is to be trusted. I have not had any regrets taking my gti to him and plan on upgrading my new audi, when Ii get it at Futrell .

Awesome team and super kind staff. I showed up with a minor issue, and they were transparent and straight forward with me, letting me know it wasn’t urgent (instead of trying to get me to treat it like an emergency). Also, really cool style and decoration in the place, very classic feeling.

When additional service is recommended its always right-on. After having Futrell recommended by the previous owner of my 1997 Jetta, I went to them for service for the seven years I had the car, throughout high school and college. They were always very understanding of my situation and kept my car running very smoothly. I took it in about once a year and every time asked them to give it a once-over, and consistently suggested only the things that needed service to keep me on the road. Its hard to say that anyone having car trouble would be in the mood to have a good experience, but Dean and his technicians have gone beyond the call to make sure I was satisfied.First met them going for the APR chip, the prices were accurate and service was quick. Later, they did a great job assessing and repairing my A/C.Dean was always willing to hear my concerns about how the car behaved, and when I was getting annoyed with the self-adjusting clutch, he had his technician take the time to show me how they demonstrate that the clutch had no slip. Dean and Megan are absolutely awesome. Let me start with service. 5:50 p.m. they close at 6 I called them and say I have a check engine light on. Do you mind if I stop by late. They say no problem come on in. Not to mention that Dean knows everything about Audis, Porsches, VWs. I also like the fact that their Star wars fans and you can work inside their nice waiting area. His shop was the closest one to my house and he offered to have his mechanic come to my house to fix it as to not incur any towing charges! Great shop, great service, and great prices.I bought an A3 and it was a little slow, so I took it to Futrell and their (APR) tuning was amazing!I ended up selling that A3 and picking up an A3 Quattro and had Dean tune it, upgrade the turbo, intercooler, suspension, etc...It turned out great and I could not have been happier with the quality of the work.I upgraded to a Tesla 3P and I still use Futrell for tires, wheels, etc, as nobody does better work and I dont have to worry about getting ripped off.

Theres just too many good things to say about this business, the owner, and its employees, so much that theres not enough space - excellent communication, very transparent, beautiful shop and waiting room. My experience with Dean was not honest and accommodating.I was having engine problems and went to Futrell because it was close enough to my house that I could drive it there without damaging it further or paying for a tow.There is a sign in the lobby which states they charge a 10% surcharge if you dont buy the parts through them.I went in knowing what I need for parts and knowing what they cost. I told Dean I would like to order the parts myself and hire them to do the work. He told me if I didnt buy the parts through him, he wouldnt even consider doing the work.He showed me the cost of the parts to him, and they were the same prices I had.I need my car fixed and didnt want to tow it somewhere else, so I let them do the work. Dean ended up charging me a 25% markup on the parts. He basically just took advantage of the situation I was in to get an extra 15% out of me which is absolute BS.

I cant say enough good about Futrell. They were thorough and meticulous. Dean is a smart dude and knows the cars like the back of his hand. I appreciate the speedy turn around and killer deal! The Avant will only be seen by these guys from here on out. Dont listen to the folks who took his knowledge and experience as condescending and rude. Oh and I almost forgot theyve got a waiting room with an xbox one set up!

During my phonecall I was asking questions in regard to springs vs coilovers and the guy (Dean I think) straight up told me on the phone I was asking too many questions and that if I was going to challenge his recommendations that this was not the shop for me....Uh, I was under the impression that the reason a tuning shop exists is to guide customers and to help educate them if they are not car experts. I will definitely be going to their completion to get my car lowered and also will make sure to steer all my friends away from them for future tuner needs.

Just moved to OR from WI and had to put new plates on my car, but the screws were rusted in place. I even broke one off trying to remove them. Stopped by and they removed the screws and hung my new license plate FOR FREE! Just to be nice. And this after another auto repair place wanted to charge me $100 to do it. They were busy at the time and still helped me out. Made me a customer for life! Seriously excellent and honest place.

My experience was terrible. I ended up taking my business elsewhere. I bet Dean (the owner and receptionist) does great work, hes just a pill to deal with. Very condescending, hypersensitive and has a reputation for being a hot head. I recently bought a new car and now instead of going to Dean for service, I’m back to going to the dealer for service. That can be a tough pill to swallow after you’ve been taken care of by Dean and his team for a few years.It all started when I stopped by his shop and wanted to talk about a bunch of performance upgrades (that I had read about on the internet) for my car. Dean heard me out, but then asked me what I was trying to accomplish. All I really cared about at the time was adding usable power and still having a reliable car. Dean thought about it for a minute and told me I could get most of what I wanted with an ECU, intake, and downpipe (as opposed to the littany of things I was suggesting) and at a fraction of the price. I agreed, they promptly did the work, and I was thrilled with the new performance of the car. From that moment on, I was a raving fan of Futrell Autowerks.Over the next three years I trusted Dean and team with some additional upgrades and all service for the vehicle. The best way I can describe them is “white glove service”.Dean would bend over backwards to quickly get a repair done, would put you in a loaner car while they did the work, would provide regular updates by email and phone, and would always take the time to help me understand what they fixed (and why) when something went wrong. In one instance he even sent a tech to pick me up from work so that I could get my car. Dean always charged a fair price for quality service and stood behind the work of his shop.I’ve been absolutely blown away by the customer service and quality of work from Futrell Autowerks. This is the greatest car place that I know of. I have been a customer here for the past few years, after a series of bad experiences at the Hillsboro VW dealership. Even after not coming in for months on end, if I give the shop a call Dean can recognize my voice and remember what I drive. Those little things make this place awesome.They do fantastic service, very prompt, very willing to work with your schedule. Most of my service has been repairs and routine maintenance, but Im treated as if Im getting all of the coolest gadgets for my car. Highly recommended!

I stopped by to get a diagnostic run on my car. The man behind the counter was less than friendly or helpful. He seemed bothered that I was troubling him by stopping by. He treated me like I knew nothing of cars and was an idiot due to my lack of technical knowledge. Of course I dont know much about cars, thats why Im at a repair shop trying to pay somebody to help me. I would not recommend this shop.

Ive been going to Futrell autowerks for the past year and a half! I had a good experience with Dean who is the man there! I simply walked in kicking tires when I walked in the first time and Dean gave me a tour of the facility, introduced me to his team, and man me feel like I could trust doing business here.Since then Ive taken my car a few times for basic maintenance and it always checked out fine. Today I pulled the trigger and did the software upgrade to my MK6 gti and Im very happy with the results. Dean did a great job on not selling with pressure. He simply talked about the benefits of what a software upgrade would do and I was sold without having to say yes at that moment.Id recommend taking you VW or Audi to them for really anything automotive. Best customer service of any shop in Beaverton been to several!

I recently had some repairs done to my VW … elsewhere. Too bad, as Futrell’s waiting room is definitely more stylish than most and their prices are competitive. But during the brief phone call the guy seemed exasperated by any question asked and even laughed or seemed annoyed by my lack of knowledge. Then at the end of the call as we were talking about replacing the starter, instead of taking the 2 seconds to explain where the ring gear was he then said “can I ask you to call another shop?” Dean, can’t you find someone else to answer calls who will treat customers with respect at all times instead of acting like a condescending ass? I asked these same questions to several other shops without any issues.

I have taken 2 Audis to Futrell over the last 15 years and have always had great service. The shop time rate is reasonable and they are helpful with DIY advice and quick turnaround. No matter what, find an Indy shop for Audi/VW instead of the dealer.

Honest and skilled. I wont take my 99 VW Passat anywhere else.

I left Hawaii and my beautiful Mk3 GTI behind assuming Id come to Oregon and forever ride my Mk5 Rabbit stock til death. A visit from Vortex Mk3 forum celebrities and a trip to Futrells on a whim turned my Rabbit into a parts hoarding bunny with 5 threads left on the front coils and no perches in the rear. Dammit. Long story long, Dean and co have kept my Rabbit low and slow with great service, knowledge, fair prices and the occasional ribbing to let me know whats hot and to help relieve my bank account of money. Futrell Autowerks will set you right whether you want that fatty turbo upgrade or a simple oil change everytime, theyve got my business for life.

After hearing about Futrell for a few years now through various friends, coworkers and acquaintances of mine, I decided to take my car in without hesitation when I knew it needed some work. I was not let down or misled; Dean is nearly always right up there in the front waiting to greet you with a smile and a great lets get you fixed up attitude. Not the we dont really need your business demeanor that is typical these days. Perhaps it was due to my being a first-time customer, or maybe this is just how Dean is...but he wasted no time in diagnosing my cars problems and spelling them out for me in a way I could easily understand. I had one of the ever-popular third-party extended warranties that I had purchased when I bought my car just a few short months ago, and he gladly honored it. Even after literally spending hours on the phone trying to work with this company in an effort to get me back on the road with reputable parts and service, Dean didnt complain. Do not trust your Audi with apr. they will fry your ecu and not pay for your rental car or ecu replacement. Just don’t.
