They schedule me to drop off my car for all wheel alignment on Saturday. When I got there. They told me no technician for alignment work on Saturday. Why schedule me? The guy was very rude and unprofessional. Anyway, never again, I go here. Beware. π
I was disappointed to see that wearing masks was not a priority at this business. When I walked in, the owner was not wearing a mask, and neither was an employee who walked by.I brought my car in for an oil change, and that was confirmed by me to the business owner when I dropped it off.When I picked the car up, the owner informed me that one of my cars tires had a screw in it, and that his technician had removed the screw and patched the tire. He acted like he did me a big favor, but didnt call first to see if the added charge would be okay. I could have taken my car in where I buy tires and they would have patched it for free.It didnt feel honest (I had to take his word for it that there was actually a screw in the tire) and I wondered if this would have happened if my husband had been the one bringing in the car.Long story short, I wont be back.
Dropped of our truck with front end noises. They diagnosed it quickly and gave me a quote. I told them they can do the repair and they took me home. Picked up the truck later that day. Paid a little less with discounts .
They incorrectly installed a started that shorted the electrical system in my car. As a result, my 80 year old father had to wait two hours in a parking lot while it was 100 degrees to get it towed. We had it correctly installed at Bassit Auto Co. (highly recommend). Needless to say this is absolutely unacceptable and indictive of a lack of knowledge/experience or care for their work and customer. They offered to reinstall the starter but I wouldnt trust them to even install windshield wipers.
When there to have a diagnostic in my car because the check engine lights came on and the car started to sputter. The day before we took it to auto zone and were told the O2 sensor needed cleaning or replaced.After honest 1 had it overnight and called the next day to say it was indeed the mass airflow sensor and would cost $644! I asked him for the break down of cost, he said the part was $310 and the rest is labor. I said are you sure because the part was $62 at Autozone. He said Im trying to run a business here ill give you $75 off!My friend fixed my car in 7 minutes. It litterally was 1 screw and unplugging a wire!NOTHING HONEST ABOUT THIS PLACE!

BEWARE OF THIS LOCATION!! HORRIBLE MANAGER! INCOMPETENT SHOP!! Took our vehicle here to have our AC and heat issues diganosed and fixed. Was told we needed a new compressor for the air and the heat was a simple switch we could fix ourselves so they took the fee off for the heat diagnosis, they tore it apart then found they didnt couldnt get the compressor they had to order it and to come back in a week, no big deal. Go back in a week spend hours there having them fix it to be told once it was fixed but the door in the dashboard wasnt working (though it was part of the original reason we took it in) manager was like Yep gonna be $829 to fix without a thought that, that is a rather big price tag. I told him we brought it in for that originally was told nothing was wrong to which the manager responded Im not responsible for the things my employees say or do. I dont see where you brought it in for a heat diagnosis After I brought my receipt in from the car his story changed oh yeah I see it here he talked to my husband and one of his replies was look Ive been doing this for 35 years if I had a magic 8 ball I wouldnt be here and we wouldnt have this conversation He admitted they were in the wrong and gave us half off but I had to leave my car again with them. Go back to get my car and everything seemed fine finally, then we only ended up having air for the day! Took it back yet again and they admitted they over clamped the line cracking it, they promised they would fix it but I had to leave it again!!! The loaner car they gave me had tire issues they knew about and left me stranded an hour from home! When I finally picked my car up for the last time it was still blowing warm air!!! Marty the manager did nothing but talk down to me everytime I had to deal with him and he didnt believe us that it still wasnt working when we called him back. Almost $2000 later at this shop and no air! Finally had enough of their incompetence and we finally took it another place and the line was STILL split, was original part to the car and its discontinued!!! Marty LIED to us about ever fixing the line that they broke, we had to have one custom made and cost us another $300. Horrible place with undertrained mechanics and manager that talks down to woman and one thats dismissive of women. Horribly disappointed Honest one auto is lie at this location. Even after telling them I was a floating Frontline healthcare worker floating around the state helping sites that needed help and how important the air conditioning was to me in this summer heat they still screwed me over, were rude, over charged and lied about things. All Marty kept coming back to was its an old car as his defense, its a damn Jeep! Doesnt matter how old they are they are easy to work on and run forever! The new mechanic had NO ISSUES finding and fixing the problem!

DONT GO TO THIS LOCATION! This Was my first time to go to Honest1 Auto, my cars AC suddenly stopped and I took it there, they inspected it and told me the price including like oil changes.(they charged me about $465.00). I told them to go ahead, they told me that they fixed the AC. I drove the first day and the second day, the AC was still not working (No cold air). I called them and explained the issue was not solved. They told me that I have to drive more miles for the AC to work. After two days, I called them again, told me to bring the car. Inspected it and they told me AC compressor .....should be replaced and asked me 4 times the price I paid before. I said, I paid for the AC to be fixed, it was your responsibility to inspect and replace the correct one, itβs not my fault. but said no you should pay it. what about the one I paid before? they said, didnβt include that. So, they wanted me to charge twice for the same issue, they should inspect and address the problem first. I declined and took another place. They fixed my AC with $360.00. I donβt recommend this Honest1 to anybody.
Auto1 has done a lot of work on my Jeep. They are very knowledgable, professional, they explain everything thats going on to me and they always have her ready when they sey they will. 100% would recommend.

I have been going here a long time. I live 2 hours away. Went in for an oil change, they forgot to put the filter/seal on. By the time I got home ALL the oil had leaked out of my car!! lucky it didnt blow the engine. I then had to have it towed to a local mechanic, who fixed the issue for $130. Honest-1 would only refund me half, $65 for THEIR mistake. Huge inconvenience and not apologetic or helpful. I covered the tow too!

I wish I could say that this experience was perfect but it was not. However, first things first... This was the second time we have used Honest-1, On both occasions the work was done within the time frame estimated and the bill was as quoted or less than quoted. In addition, the work was done with perfection and this business does not attempt to sell you things you do not need!!!! This is important. For these reasons, I give them a 5 star rating.Now, for the issues. Readers should use this as a heads up, and hopefully, Honest-1 will take a close look at their systems and make adjustments as appropriate:Honest-1 encourages booking appointments online. If you are just having one thing done, that is simple and straight forward, Im certain that this works fine. However, he were having several things taken care of, and this caused a major issue. We requested a mid-afternoon appointment, and we know from previous experience elsewhere that this work could be completed between then and closing time. There were two phone calls to discuss the work and the timing, ending with agreement with our wishes. When we arrived, we were told that they could not do it that afternoon, and that wed need to leave the car overnight, getting it back by the end of the next day. Because of our needs for use of the vehicle the next day, this was not acceptable to us, and arrangements were made for 5 pm drop off on another day. It all worked out in the end, but there was this significant hiccup.
Great company!My low tire light came on and the staff was extremely friendly despite being busy and took care of it quickly. They filled all 4 tires to the correct pressure and sent me on my way! If you havenβt checked them out, you should!
On August 13, 2020 I walked in here with a coupon that I printed off thier website and the man in the front desk was so rude and unprofessional. He said I couldnt use it because my car was only synthetic and I told him my car could take any oil and he was so rude and said no and ignored me. His voice was so rude and unprofessional. I just went to the next oil place next to them jiffy lube and they were so nice to me.

I have had my F-150 in this shop a couple of different times now and have been very pleased with both the customer service and work done. The latest issue was to have my radiator done in limited time, they made it happen during the holiday rush with no surprises. Always quick and efficient service. They have been honest about my vehicle and even showed me one time what was going on. They put our safety into consideration first. My oil changes are always made there as well.
Went in for a simple oil change and came back to my driver window being stuck down in my door. The window did have prior issues, but never has it fell past the point to where it couldnβt easily be pulled up. While asking the attendant in the office why this had happened, he said that mechanics always roll the windows down and itβs my fault for not warning them the window was messed up. Now I have to fix the window which never should have been touched, the work that needed to be done was under my car. Will never return to this shop.

Richard and Rich were fabulous at my visit! We always enjoy coming to this location with familiar faces, clean atmosphere and a fun play area for kids!! They also serve beverage, and on hot days like today, a cold water bottle is greatly appreciated!! We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner who was very polite and shook our hands. I have been going here almost 2 years now for my Challenger. I have always left happy. One time my engine light came on, and they went and checked and found it was a loose gas cap. No Charge.I am not sure who the one stars complaining being ripped off are about, but I have not experienced that, but then If my car had certain things going on, I would tell them, so they knew in advance. Come on people these guys are not mind readers.
This place was amazing. Marty took great care of me and they even gave me a loner car while my car was being fixed. I will definitely take my car back there for all of my auto needs.

Nice guys that do not waste your time trying to get you to replace a bunch of stuff that isnt in need of replacing. If you say no, they dont push.They get you in and get you out, or they shuttle you instead of making you wait. And they do something in some form of discount(email, mail coupon, discount card) to keep competitive with anyone in the business.
First time. Needed radiator flushed because I clogged. Left at shop Saturday at 3 p.m., car was finished by noon on monday. Was not charged for radiator or engine flush. Prices are competitive with other area shops. I will return for other work.
I have to say the 2 experiences I have had with this auto care place have been more than exceptional! I of course was expecting pushy auto repair guys trying to get me to buy filters and what not but they didnt! Got my oil changed and quotes for other things that need to be done and I appreciated that more than being told I had to do it right then and there! I highly recommend these guys at any location! *ABSOLUTE CROOKS AND THIEVES - STAY AWAY *This was without a doubt the worst and most dishonest experience I have ever had with a repair shop. I was charged $130 to diagnose my vehicle even though I already came in with the engine codes in hand with what looked to be a problem with an ignition coil. I was told that all 6 of my ignition coils were burned and the cost would be $1900 for parts plus labor.I received other estimates for $800, $1200, and $1300 from 3 other repair shops that I decided to call since something just didntt seem right to me with the whole situation I was in. This already indicated to me that I was being massively ripped off but this was not even the worst part! READ ONI ended having my car fixed by a real and honest repair shop. They laughed when I told them that I was being told that all 6 of my ignition coils needed to be replaced. If that was the case the car wouldnt even turn on or run they told me, which it did! This honest repair shop diagnosed my car FOR FREE, and determined that only coil #6 needed to be replaced. I PAID $190 FOR THE NEW COIL PART PLUS LABOR. That is literally 10x less than what Honest Auto wanted from me, and for a problem that did not exist! (1 coil was damaged, NOT all 6)This shop is full of complete crooks and thieves who lied to me and stole my money. They lied and cheated me on multiple levels. Not only did they lie about what was wrong with the car, they added insult to injury by then charging an exhorbitant amount of $1900 to have it fixed! If my gut and instincts were not intact, I would have been down $1900 for a non-existent problem.Stay away from these lying, dishonest thieves. I have no doubt that if they did this to me, they must be doing this to other people as well.
I purchased a Groupon for a VIP coupon on 12/30/19. I made an appt for an oil change and took my car in 12/31/19. I was upcharged $40.99 after the service, which I can only assume was labor since the Groupon said the oil changes were free. I honestly have no idea. The mechanic was nice and the service was quick.I have an appt this coming Monday 3/9/20 for a diagnostic for my check engine light being on. The guy I spoke to this morning said it is $148, but my coupon card says 1/2 free. Well see what happens, and Ill update my review accordingly.

They fixed my trucks brakes when I was stumped. I came here because they have ASE certified techs. They found an issue that I had not noticed, and got my brakes working better than ever with tools that other shops didnt have. They kept me up to date on what was going on with the repairs and asked me before going ahead with things. Excellent service and reasonable cost.

Should avoid going there... I have purchased a Groupon coupon for oil change and tire rotation.... still they have charged $55 for full synthetic and filter as they informed me it was not cover in my coupon which doesnt make any sense. My invoice shows tire rotation performed however no tire rotation was done... I even doubt they have performed the required oil change. They are absolutely team of dis honest people who want to rip you off by making false statement about your car.

I didnt have any issues going and getting my oil replaced. Called in early on a Saturday and I was able to get an appointment for later that day. The price was competitive and they performed the customary 21-point inspection. Overall very pleased with the experience and the waiting room.

Not too honest if you ask me... had an oil change and the guy came out and said that I needed new brakes. I declined and a week later I took my car into my regular auto shop to check, and my regular mechanic said that I still have 10k miles left on the brakes.

Ive been going to Shawn for several years now and couldnt be happier.My last experience with Honest 1 didnt even involve Shawn though, but just reinforced my love of these guys.I had just been to DEQ and they couldnt get their tester thing plugged into the doohickey under my dash because it was somehow twisted. They told me to go to a mechanic and have them remove the panel and untwist the doohickey and replace the panel. Sounded pretty simple to me so I googled the nearest mechanic (not Honest 1) which was only a couple blocks away. The guy there told me I needed to leave my car with him for about a half a day and that it would cost $110. He never even looked at the car. I said hell no, and drove back to Honest 1.The guy at the front desk was super nice and sympathetic and came out to look at my car. He went and grabbed a pair of pliers and fiddled with the doohickey. It took him less than 2 minutes to fix it and he didnt charge me a dime. THAT is customer service. He couldve charged me. I wouldve happily paid. But he didnt. He knows he made me happy and that Ill be back.Thanks, Honest 1!!!
I bought one of those oil change coupon books, have taken two cars in so far and service has been great. They werent pushy like Jiffy Lube. I also overheard conversations regarding other peoples repair needs and it does seem like this company is honest. Last week when my cooling/radiator fan started making a strange noise (on a 104-degree day) I called them and they were able to get me in right away and diagnose the problem. Parts werent readily available, so they bandaged the problem so I could at least drive home. I price compared the repair and its comparable with other shops. I will definitely continue doing business with them!

Went for an oil change and tire rotation. Air filter replacement was recommended (its hard to tell with those things, but you probably should replace the air filter), however I replaced the air filter myself a month ago (and wrote the date and the mileage on the filter), so the air filter housing was probably never opened. When I pressed about the need for air filter change, the person said that I should probably be safe for another oil change.When I got my car back, there was a sticker on the windshield with the reminder to change oil after 3 months / 2000 miles. That is way too soon. The tire cover wasnt installed quite correctly and the nipple was not showing through the designated place on the cover.Another thing is the person behind the counter was on a personal call for a length of time, sharing some family details that I didnt care about.Upd: During the same visit, I was recommended a CV-boot change, with the reasoning that one of them was torn. Just got around checking both of them and both are fine. Revising down to 1 star.
Purchased a Groupon deal with Honest 1 and cashed it in for an oil change and tire rotation. Service was fast and great!I had talked to someone at a different location prior to arriving, and there was a discrepancy between locations regarding the Groupon offer, but they got it sorted out for me and were very accommodating.

This particular location is in dire need for improvement. The manager was rude and short with me when asking questions regarding the service being recommended for my vehicle. I was treated as though I was stupid or wasting his time. During our conversation we were interrupted by employees on multiple occasions. In one particular instance and employee came to the lobby through the door behind the front desk cursing and demanding immediate assistance in the back. Overall this makes me question the ability of the employees to complete the work on my vehicle. If you dont mind being treated like you are wasting peoples time, this may be the place for you. Otherwise I would recommend looking for another place to have your vehicle serviced
Service is terrible. The guy who was at the front desk explained nothing, was incredibly disorganized, and in the middle of talking to me about my car, switched over to take care of another customer and didnt finish with me or even acknowledge that he was going to take care of this other guy. I came here on a Groupon and was expecting an ok experience... Not expecting to be rudely ignored. Theres a reason this place has such wildly varied reviews. They pick and choose which customers to provide service too.
This location is horrible to work with. I showed up 12 mins late to my oil change appt. I scheduled it online for 8:30 am they said I was suppose to be there at 8. I showed them my confirmation email and they said they could change it in an hour and a half at the earliest. Iβve called in before explaining I need an oil change appt via my groupon and they said it takes two to three weeks to make an appt. Then Iβll call back a day later and donβt tell them I have a Groupon and they get my in right away. SE Stark location is Great! DONT GO TO THIS FRANCHISE.
Nothing honest in Hones1. Lets start with their website booking system. Dont bother yourself booking an appointment through the website they will call you and ask you why you booked the appointment for, and will let you know that the website sucks. I had a service done on my car for wheel alignment, but they only have one person in the whole shop who knows how to do it, and mostly is sick in weekends. They did the alignment, but zero car suspension inspection prior the service, even though they noted in the service invoice. left the shop with crooked steering wheel, called them again, Aaron, who supposed to be the shop manager, but works their mondays only, promised to have someone to look at the car again, 1 week later, nothing happened, so I called, talked to Jim, who told me that K guy who did the alignment wasnt the best in their team & asked me to bring the car again. Of course Richard, front desk guy, felt offended when I told him what happened, spent 2 hours, they took the car for test driver for almost an hour, came back saying nothing wrong with the car.Took the car to another shop, and was told one of the bull joint was shot and need to be replaced immediately as the car not safe to be driven.Honest1, you failed, you had one job to do, and did the worst on it.Stay away from this mechanic chain, and this location especially.
They wanted $2000 dollars to fix my independent rear axles that magically both failed simultaneously. I got a second opinion and there was a $20 part that was broken. Very obvious what the issue was. Honest 1 clearly didnt even look under the car.

I had my transmission flush at the Aloha/Beaverton location, unfortunately they drain the fluid in the transfer case as well. They never refilled it. Now....Im looking at a $1700 bill. Called the shop was basically told to F off. I wasnt a fan of this shop before due to their poor customer service but i went back because it was close to home and I had a coupon. Lesson learned some things are worth paying for and go with your gut. If they seem unprofessional they probably are

After taking in my wifes vehicle for a simple oil change the Vans exhaust was making an absurd amount of noise. Once home I was able to inspect the vehicle further and found that the exhaust had a large puncture with yellow paint around the edges right next to the rear jacking point. My wife immediately called Honest 1 to report the issue. She was told to bring the vehicle by but there was no way that they could be responsible for the damage.I brought the vehicle back the next day and showed the manager the damage in question. Although it was quite obvious how the damage occurred (backing the vehicle off of the lift) the manager denied it and said that his employees always report damage to vehicles immediately.All in all this leaves a bad impression as we have taken our vehicle to the Hillsboro location a number of times for oil changes. Customers beware. If you do decide to take your vehicle here for service.....make sure you check the vehicle over very carefully before you leave the lot.With regard to the managers response below:When I brought my vehicle back to the shop to view the damage, they purposely placed my vehicle on a different lift than the lift used for the oil change. (Manager admitted) The lift in question also had yellow paint matching the paint on the damaged part of my exhaust. The manager wouldnt even listen to my thought as to how the damage occurred, he simply stated that it wasnt possible. The manager also never offered to talk with the employee who did the work on the vehicle, nor did he offer to let me speak with him. Mark did offer to pay the labor on fixing the damage, but would not pay for the part required to fix the damage and would only do so if I removed my negative review on Google.

Last Friday I left my truck with them to get my fuel pump replaced. Later in the day they called me telling me that additionally I needed my oil changed, oil cooler lines replaced (They were leaking they said), and my transmission fluid flushed and changed as there was NO fluid in it at all. I immediately questioned the last one in that I had had this done less than a year back, and had checked the fluid level recently and there were no stains in the driveway. It was at this point that Josh said Well maybe they hit an air pocket when they checked that Ill have them look again. Ive never heard of a transmission fluid air pocket but as I NEEDED my car back so I could get to work the next day and he doesnt seem to be letting go of this until I agree to something else I tell them to change the oil and leave it at that. So I get the truck back and the following day its showing signs of the fuel system not staying pressurized, specifically that I needed to turn the key to on and leave it for 30 seconds or so before I cranked the starter, at which point everything worked flawlessly. This is generally a sign of the fuel system not holding its pressure and by turning the ignition to the on position for a bit allows the fuel pump to re-pressurize the system prior to cranking the starter, so I bring it back four days later.Again I get a call from Josh, apparently he comes in later in the day, and he tells me my ignition switch needs to be replaced as they are not getting any electricity out of one of the lines. When I explain why I brought the car back in and the symptoms it seems this is the first he has heard of that but is positive that this had to be the problem because I need a new ignition switch. When I ask how a faulty ignition switch would have caused the fuel line symptoms he hasnt any idea but is adamant I need a new ignition switch to the tune of $500+. When I questioned this further he offered to close it all back up and let me have the truck back after I paid for the $100+ diagnostic and made it clear that it would be non-running as it had a faulty ignition switch. So even though it was running just fine when I brought it in, excepting the starting issue which had every symptom of the fuel line not staying pressurized as opposed to any ignition issue, Im stuck. Its the day before Thanksgiving and Im either going to fork over another $500+ or go get the keys to a vehicle that isnt even running at all now with most any place that I could get it hauled to closed for the next four days.Last night, Thursday thanksgiving evening, I go to use the truck for the first time where I need my lights on. No lights anywhere inside the cab, later they do come on intermittently, which has never happened before their βneeded fixβ of my ignition switch. I just got off the phone attempting to find a number to call for a corporate office or owner, as itβs no where to be found on their web site. There apparently is no corporate office contact available and all Josh can tell me is they are owned by βSteveβ and he has no idea how I can reach him but suggests I call all the other Honest-1 stores in the Portland area until I find him at one of them.So much for Honest-1 Auto Care.Gene Smith

The new manager was amazing! Im a new customer. I bought a deal off Groupon for oil changes. Decided to check out the place. I didnt have an appointment and had my new headlights installed right away. Thanks for the awesome customer service.
Not recommended unless you want to pay double. They charged my wife $24/each for Iridium spark plugs that retail at Napa for $12/each. They charged her over $90 for a new coil that retails at Napa for under $45. They charged $125/hour for labor, when Midas charges only $80/hour. I do NOT recommend this shop. If the whole chain does business like this, then I dont recommend any of them. I really hate to think they are just taking advantage of women, but, thats what my perception is.
I felt very comfortable with the level of service and value from this shop. I will definitely be retiring for future my service needs.

Front desk guy was super nice and friendly and answered all my questions and even showed me my filter to show me what it looks like and gave me honest feedback. I got groupon for this place and an oil change and they filled up all of fluids. This place will probably be my go to from now on

If you like dealing with a dishonest, irresponsible, and unorganized shop I HIGHLY recommend this shop.I went in for a simple wheel alignment which they could not do. I dropped off my car at 10:30am and I had to call them for an update at 4:30pm. The front desk lady said that they are just finishing up and it should be ready. I arrive at 5pm and wait until 5:40pm in their lobby, just to be told that there was some miscommunication and the tech who was working on my car had left with out telling anyone. I guess they did not have the correct tool to do a wheel alignment. Its infuriates me how they havent acknowledge that they just wasted my day and how disrespectful it was to do so.

This business outfit surely lived up to their name. Honest numero uno! Honest and auto mechanic dont go together. Now these words do with this Automotive center. I am impressed. They gave me hope I havent had with businesses in a long time. They checked my car for alignment and made an honest opinion about it. I will certainly go back to do honest business with them. They are a family business in the neighborhood.It is hard to hear that your car needs more work than you can afford, but at least they tell you the truth. Thanks!
They should be called DisHonest One. Everything they did was a cover up instead of just taking ownership of a mistake and offering to fix it. 4 trips back to them and all I got was the run around. Horrible customer service. I would not recommend them.

Came in for an oil change. 21 point inspection found dirty air filter which they replaced. In and out on time, fair price for the services they provided.
Not always the friendliest place they are upfront about price and do a good job with repairs. Repair Pal certified helps also
