I was in need of a work van, and had spent 2 months searching all around Austin. I finally stumbled upon a van that Mid Tex Auto had just gotten in stock. The van was beyond fairly priced and the dealerships manager actually offered me a fair price for my trade in, without a hour of back and forth haggling. They were up front and honest about the pricing and what they were able to do for me. My saleswoman Sylvia was very energetic and helpful with all the questions I had, from the spare tire to the history of the vehicle, she told me everything she knew about the vehicle. After purchasing the vehicle, I got a 2 year service plan for free, which was a new one for me, since no dealership before had offered that type of care for less than a grand. Their mechanic/all around helper Joey, was very friendly and has a real passion for cars, so I feel confident if they ever do need to work on my vehicle. Overall it was a quick, headache free, and enjoyable process to purchase my new work van, and Mid Tex couldnt have a better staff.

We were looking at a 1st car for our son from out of state & she made everything so easy! She even referred me to a local master mechanic who also did an amazing job on their assessment of the car prior to a purchase commitment. I spent a solid week sifting through the dregs or shady car lots looking at FRSs that they claimed had clean carfaxes and ended up being crashed or had mechanical issues.(I have been a mechanic and a an auto painter)I was about fed up when I saw their post on Craigslist and decided to make the drive from San Antonio. I bought my first 2011 Honda CR-V from them back in Aug 2017 and a 2010 Honda fit last week. This dealership is wonderful. They care about what you need and how they can help you. Both of my cars are still in great shape, running well and overall no problems whatsoever. They keep all of their inventory clean/ washed, and take care of any maintenance while its in their possession ( such as an oil changes, tire pressure adjustments) Their website is also very easy to use and browse. It only took about 20 minutes from the time we got there to the time we were leaving with our Honda Fit. Mostly, their customer service is nothing less than amazing. Everyone is friendly, remembered me by name and answered all of my questions with confidence. I would recommend this dealership to anyone who wants to buy a car with wholesome service. I was looking for a new to me vehicle and ended up at MidTex after an annoying experience with Benny Boyd. The woman who worked with me over the phone was very helpful, professional, and took her time to explain all the options to me. I drove almost 2 hours to their dealership and ended up leaving with a super clean, very very well maintained Chevy Suburban. The owner as well as the other two people in the office are very friendly and take the time to sit down with you and explain everything. I bought a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee back in June 2018. I have put about 10,000 miles on it, moving to Wisconsin. It has given me no problems except the battery couldn’t take the cold up here. Bought my son a 1999 Chevy Silverado truck from these folks. I normally deal with individuals or car dealers when I buy a vehicle. I found this truck on line. Looked super clean for the miles so I checked it out. Their car lot is on an old part of 1325 with a series of car lots around them. You can tell from a glance these folks are different from the rest. Just the look and feel and how they treated me when I arrived. The truck was exactly what they said it was and they took a very reasonable offer without making it a hassle. Filled up the tank and gave us a few free oil changes. Family place that I would recommend.

I am a repeat costumer and I am so happy that I went back to them. When I bought my 1st car from them they made sure to provide all and any info that I wanted/needed in order to purchase (carfax, inspection, etc.). In addition they made sure the car was very clean and sparkly :) it really made it feel like it was actually a new vehicle. Few months down the road my A/C was giving me trouble and without a second thought they told me to bring it in and they fixed it, for WAY less than I wouldve payed at my normal repair shop and way more cooperative too! Since then Ive had to purchase another car due to an accident, without a second thought I went back to Mid-Tex because they really took care of me and I know that even if I didnt see something in their inventory they would help me find something. I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Mid Tex Auto. I bought a 2013 Honda Fit from them last year (early 2017) after having a horrible bout of car troubles that left me without a vehicle. Feeling flustered, I first went to the Honda dealership where the dealer tried to sell me a Honda Fit very similar to the one I had seen Mid Tex advertising, though for a higher price. Additionally, the car at the dealership had more miles and had not been kept up as well.I turned down the dealers car and went to Mid Tex. Mid Tex Auto was incredibly straightforward about the quality of the vehicle and price. Unlike the dealership, they were friendly, warm, and not at all pushy. Being run by two incredibly kind couples, each with families of their own, Mid Tex operates in a much more compassionate and honest way than many car dealers. I felt that they actually cared about what I needed in a vehicle and I quickly developed a trust in them. Having now driven the vehicle for a year, Im so happy in the choice I made -- not to mention that even my mechanic has voiced what a great car I got for the price. And the car is not worth 11000$ which they are charging her 16000$ she could get a brand new car for all that money she spending on a car that’s worth 5000$. The good thing is is a beautiful car works amazing people are nice and respectful but I truly don’t think they are fair when it comes to the prices and the worth of there cars.

Horrible experience!! I bought a used car that seemed to be in good condition except it needed a new battery. They included a battery in the purchase price, which I was happy with. However, the battery took 3 days to be ready for me. Meanwhile, I wasnt even driving it because I would have to jump it everywhere I went. I feel like they might have done this on purpose so that I couldnt use buyers remorse on them because after getting the battery and driving the car for a couple of days, I noticed a high pitched squealing coming from the engine, which ended up being the power steering belt needing to be changed. Furthermore, the brakes were terrible and they had to be replaced a week after I bought the car. I just think its ridiculous to pay good condition price for a used car that had to have $500 worth of work for it to be drivable... Im just glad I have mechanics in the family that helped me work on it, because it could have cost a whole lot more!!Also, dont expect them to go out of their way/care about their customers or even have any customer service at all. After being told that I could pick up the battery around 2 and that they would install it, I showed up at 2:15 to find that their only mechanic was out for lunch. We told them we would do it ourselves, and the lady at the front desk gave us a used battery that was way too big! Needless to say, I was livid and on a time crunch to head out of town. My husband called Shane and at this point we were very annoyed so he used a couple of choice-words. When the mechanic/owner (Blake) finally got there, he started yelling at us because we cussed at Shane... I dont care how much I cuss at you, you are the customer service representative, and a good one would suck it up and do their job! Furthermore, when I went to get my plates, after originally being told that they would put them on for me, they just handed them to me. I decided it wasnt worth the wait or annoyance of having to deal with them again, so I decided to put them on myself. It shouldnt be hard to put plates on, right? I guess not because when I got home, I realized that the bolts they had on the back plate were too big so I had to buy new bolts too! UGH... Im just glad to be done dealing with those fools... I will never buy a car from a small auto dealer again, and you shouldnt either! These guys are just in business to rip people off!

My car had been totaled earlier in the week, so I had been looking around online for another Mustang. Mid-Tex had just what I was looking for at a very fair price. Upon arriving at the lot, Blake presented the Carfax report to me before I could even ask about it. Purchasing a car from Blake and Kristen is like buying from a friend. They were extremely helpful and pleasant. I had to drop off a rental car while picking up the Mustang, so Blake worked it out to make this happen. I ended up dropping him off at a mechanics shop. It was comforting to know that he personally has these cars checked over before putting them on his lot. I hope Im not in the market for another car again anytime soon, but this will be the first place I look when that day comes. My highest recommendation. From the second you shake hands with Blake, to the second you walk out of the door on your way, you feel that your needs are being met, and not once did I feel like I was being taken advantage of, like I did at other locations such as Carmax. It is nice to see a family owned business that can operate with such effectiveness, that doesnt leave you feeling like you are completely helpless when trying to find a new car.

Me and my fiancé bought a 2006 Ford Escape and are loving our new vehicle!!!! They worked on the down payment with us!!! The process was so quick and my car is now reliable with cold AC & Hot Heater!!! I would recommend anyone to this place!! New car for the baby on the way!!! Very reliable and TRUSTWORTHY people!

December 2018 - They were friendly at the time of sale with false promises. In my case, sold under false pretenses. They told me they report to credit bureaus and automatically send receipts. I would have to ask for receipts (receipts stopped after asking and after auto-pay) and eventually setup auto-pay, as I would call in to pay.Fast forward to November. [Mind you - all payments are on time as on auto-pay and insurance is full coverage and was not removed til after returning the vehicle].I called Monday (11/25/19) to get my payoff amount to trade in for a new car. [Doing things the correct way] To find out - I never had the car on my credit, therefore no lien. I have had the car routinely maintenanced, new brakes in November and new tires shortly prior. I had my first accident in July. Nothing mechanical. All cosmetics.The car starts just fine, as again I have it routinely inspected. That Saturday - the car no longer started. The only difference? I submitted to my bank to no longer do auto pays. Any other payments I could call for. Only explanation is kill switch.I returned the key to the car that Monday (12/2/19). I attempted to email [the same email we used just in February]. As they wanted to know about if I filed a claim. Email refused. So, I get a notice from my car insurance that they opened a claim on my insurance.Geico closed that claim as the damage is already reported.My auto pay - still registered to attempt to take out on (11th of each month) scheduled day. Part of that is an issue with my bank.Now - they have had my insurance go out and inspect which is now a file under my July claim - which my insurance is hearing about.This is still ongoing and I would NOT recommend the headache. I have not personally had a good experience with this business and strongly suggest shopping elsewhere.As I stated with the BBB I would update when I was able.They are NOT BBB accredited. My insurance did stop payment on the check - because I was not out to get my way when legally I was signed off on any liability after returning. Seeing their process of situations not in their favor by repeatedly requesting I change my review, but at the same time speaking rude of the customer, is not my idea of good practices. While speaking to the owner she would repeatedly state that she was not a mechanic, yet insist that alternators go out all the time. When I would disagree, she said she isnt there to argue - neither am I, just would like a business to keep their word.The car was routinely checked bi-monthly. New brake pads were installed the beginning of Nov 2019 and oil changes were always right on time. The car was well cared for. But, I understand the frustration for believing I am holding a grudge, despite that I was holding to the understandings I was told when sold to. Best of luck.*****BUYER BEWARE*****

This is the worst car dealership I have ever worked with. I had bought a car from here less then a week of having the car a deer hit me. The car insurance company totaled the car out sent a check to pay off the car, plus I have gap for the remaining amount of the car. The owner Kristen, told me to just let the insurance company total the vehicle out and they would get me into another car with just a little down payment. Keep in mind I had just put $1,700.00 down on a car I didn’t even have for more than a week. Kristen and her husband tried to charge me an additional $3,000.00 after I just gave them $1,700.00. I was completely lied to because they never got me in another car and wanted me to give them in total $4,700.00 when they are already receiving a check for the car. This place is shady, I would never recommended anyone to do business with them. They are crooked people and don’t do business in a moral way. Please be careful if you work with these people you will regret it! They couldn’t even honor their word of getting me in another car or reimbursing my down payment of $1,700.00. It’s really heart breaking that such business owners could completely take advantage of their Customers because of their level of greed. I learned this is not a company with a high level of integrity! So disappointed that I actually trusted these people. Karma is real and what you do to others will always come back full circle!

Mid Tex Auto is an excellent dealership and I recommend this place whether your shopping for a new car or truck, trading in, or selling your vehicle. The staff is always friendly and willing to work with you through any issues. This is now my fourth vehicle purchased through them and I have never had any issues with any of my vehicles. The staff here are not trying to make a quick sell and you will feel no pressure. Ive shown up before to test drive a car and have hung out with the staff for half a day. Just goes to show you Mid-Tex is not trying to make customers but friends that will continue to comeback and purchase a vehicle and because of that this business will continue to grow and succeed. Kudos to the beautiful lady that recently stated working there, Kristen (I think). She seems like she keeps the guys on their toes.

The fact that you had the front seats redone because you wanted it to look as perfect as possible to your customers speaks volumes. The Tahoe Z71 that I purchased is the cleanest one I found within a 500 mile radius. I’m still finding custom additions to this vehicle which should have driven the price up at least $2000 more than you are asking.
