The experience, like my new GV80 exceeded my expectations. Pouya was knowledgeable and patient as I decided which model and corresponding features ultimately were right for me. At one point, he actually lined up all of the potential vehicles for me side by side so we could critical compare and contrast. His “non-salesey” sales approach made for a fantastically pleasant experience. My car was available after hours and Pouya ran through the features of the car with my son and I for almost an hour after the showroom had closed. Class act. We’d happily buy another car from Pouya and Genesis of Austin.

This dealership left a lot to be desired on hospitality and the sales staff. We came to Genesis of Austin to test drive a G80 and GV80, and got to do that which is the only reason for 2 stars. We were helped by Timothy Palmer, who was the essence of a sleazy salesman. My husband had done a lot of research on these cars, and knew more about their details than Timothy did. Only about 1/3 of what he said was truthful or helpful. The other 2/3 of the time Timothy didn’t know what he was talking about or he was straight up lying - about inventory availability, self-driving capabilities, chip sourcing, etc. At the end of a 90 minute visit he couldn’t quickly tell us the price of the car we had test drove, and we decided to leave and take our business elsewhere. The visit left a lot to be desired - do yourself a favor and go to a true luxury vehicle dealership and avoid the uncomfortable, subpar hospitality of Genesis of Austin.

Mr. Timothy Wiles is very courteous and knowledgeable about the Genesis; The process was very smooth because of him. Service was excellent.

Sales experience was smooth, no game-playing, not a lot of four-square, and no pushing at the F/I desk for useless add-ons. They offer it, and if you say no, they dont try to force you. Trade-in appraisal was very fair. Right now all across the industry, inventories are low and MSRP is pretty much what youll pay, plus a small (relative) dealer fee. Thank the global semiconductor chip shortage. No price gouging like other brands or dealers are doing. If you expect a lot off the MSRP, you are shopping at the wrong time or your expectations are too high and youd be better to wait until inventories are stronger. The overall experience was lengthy but they also perform a pre-delivery inspection to ensure the vehicle is perfect going out the door. Very pleased overall.

Despite living in Dallas, I attempted to purchase a gv70 from this dealership as they had the color and trim I was looking for. Initially went through Shawn who ended up being very rude and disrespectful through text, so we decided to call the dealership and request a different salesman. A man named Jay claimed he could help us and start the sale process, but then stated I would have no other choice but to go through delivery with Shawn. When explaining to Jay that I would prefer to work with either him solely or another salesman when I receive the car, he stated if I wanted the car, I would HAVE to go through Shawn and hung up on me. The following morning, we decided to give genesis of austin one more shot and spoke with the general manager. He profusely apologized and admit there are plenty of other salesmen we could work with and said he will text us details regarding next steps. He ended up never getting back to us. If I am buying a 61K car, I expect much better service. Do yourself a favor and go to the only competent dealership in texas…Genesis of Denton.

This is the second vehicle we have purchased from SouthPoint Hyundai/Genesis of Austin. Both times, we could have stayed closer to home and gone to the Round Rock dealership. However, the Round Rock dealer never learned the premise of communication from the first deal, and therefore lost this one as well.We have been enamored with the new Genesis GV70 since it was revealed many months ago. We thought that it would be difficult to find the one we wanted given the current market shortages overall combined with the demand for this vehicle. Further, I thought that we would have to pay well above MSRP to have a chance to get one of these.The good news is that we were able to find one that we liked - white with black interior, Sport Prestige, 3.5T - and overall with good communication from the dealership.As mentioned, the communication was good, not perfect. We had a little snafu with numbers, but we were able to work towards an agreement that made sense with the trade in values of preowned vehicles being sky high.What came closer to perfect was how awesome Derrick Far was to work with. He was great with his communication, knowledge of the Genesis product line (something else lacking in Round Rock), and his work to get everything moving in the right direction. We were able to take care of nearly everything via phone/text and it took just a bit of time at the dealership to go over the vehicle and to get through finance with no further surprises.What could be better? One can never overcommunicate in business. While communication was good, Id rather hear too much rather than too little. This is especially true when vehicles are flying off the lots, leaving so many of them looking empty/closed. To be sure, they were much better than other dealerships we visited, but always that room for improvement.Overall, everything was good. Thank you Derrick, Pouya, and the rest of the team for an overall good experience.

Great sales person, jay park. patient and detailed. no one at the dealer gave me the run around or pressured me. i will buy here again.btw. got the new 2022 g70 and super happy. so glad i did not get an audi. audi is a good car (a4 and sq5 ), but this g70 is way better and about $10k cheaper.traffic through down town on I35 is hell to get there.

Terrible experience. I came in to test drive a Genesis (which is a premium luxury brand), but was so disappointed. The salesman didnt care about me, it seemed like I may have been an inconvenience to him. He didnt know his own inventory and I had to point out which car I wanted. Every question was answered by single words like next year, no, yes. He took a call during my test drive and called the woman in the phone a stupid b****. No thanks Ill never shop from here

I rarely leave reviews, and this is the first negative review I have ever left. Most dealerships dealing with quality vehicles carry themselves in a way that is beyond reproach, professional in every way. Not the case here unforunately or we would have done business. There are other quality Genesis dealers that will put your interests first.

I went to multiple Genesis dealerships and found the experience at Genesis of Austin to be amazing. Pierre DeMarsielle was a great salesperson and gave an amazing experience and walk-through of all the features, along with the additional Genesis inspection, and final detailing that he arranged. I usually buy BMW, Porsche, or similar cars and Genesis of Austin was far friendlier than those dealers and also had a much better color selection for the G70 3.3T Sport (as well as the other models) than other Genesis dealers. They tend to keep a bit more variety on hand and it was appreciated. My wife is Chinese and is a professional negotiator, but Pierre and the management staff never lost their cool as has happened at other dealerships. They were professional all around and it was great working with Pierre DeMarsielle at Genesis of Austin!!! 5 Stars!!
